It was a beautiful resort that was extremely relaxing and accommodating. The room we booked was beautiful and romantic with its private pool and hot tub. All the staff was super helpful and kind. There were lots of yummy dining options just a walk away. A little far from the beach but you could walk the shops first to get there or grab public transport easily. I would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

Hands down the best resort I have stayed in! The service here is impeccable! I was treated like royalty by all the staff.All needs were met,the amenities were wonderful! They thought of everything! Shout out to Devi at the front desk for the Balinese language lessons :).Would definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough good things about Astera Luxury Resort & Spa in Canggu—it was truly a dream stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. Everyone we encountered was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. Our room was absolutely spectacular—spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. Any time we needed assistance, the front desk team was always quick to respond with a smile. They made everything so seamless, which really set the tone for a relaxing stay. I celebrated my birthday at the resort and treated myself to the flower pool experience, and wow—it was magical! It was everything I hoped for and more, with the flowers perfectly arranged for that extra touch of luxury. I also did the floating breakfast, which was just as beautiful as it was delicious. One of the staff members who set it up even offered to take photos for me, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Those photos will be memories I’ll cherish forever! Breakfast every morning was a highlight—the food was fresh, flavorful, and there was always a great selection. I became a big fan of the resort’s restaurant, Paed Thai—the dishes there were consistently amazing. Hotel was very clean and staff were very attentive to myself and my wife. Bed comfortable, private pool and spa were also enjoyable. The large pool in the pictures is for all guests however we had it to ourselves every time we went. Rooms have small fridges that you can store some of your own drinks. Minibar prices were more than what you’d pay if you got the beverages elsewhere however weren’t ridiculously over priced. While there are some small details that I think could be addressed, I don’t think overall this affected our trip. The Villa is located walking distance to cafes, restaurants and convenience stores however you will be walking along the road or in grass or mud there are no sidewalks. You could also walk to main area Canggu in around 35 minutes. Overall, I think that the hotel, location, amenities and staff were fantastic. I would stay here again.

Was a bit hesitant on this property as it was 3 km from the beach but the walk there is doable and passes cute restaurants and shops. This property is immaculate. Pure luxury. Private pool and jacuzzi plus another pool for the entire property. Just absolutely stunning.

The hotel it’s better live than in pictures, what a wonderful and amazing place. We stayed in the private pool villa, it was more than we ask for. They treat us exceptional and the service was just perfect. During our stay we received all the help from Devi, from the front desk, she help us in every detail to have an enjoyable experience in Canggu. We did not want to leave this magical place.

Our stay at Astera Resort was amazing! We chose this accommodation for its beautiful and private villa suites as well as its location central to many popular restaurants, shops, beaches, and clubs. We loved that the resort included breakfast during our stay, with an array of delicious food options. Not only did our suite had its own private pool and jacuzzi, but the resort also had its own shared infinity pool with day beds to enjoy the sun and to also cool off. Upon our arrival, the Astera staff has been nothing but accommodating, kind, welcoming, and helpful during our stay! Through the resorts WhatsApp chat the staff answered any arising questions or concerns we had. Special thanks to Devi and Agus for their kind hospitality, but of course our thanks extends to all of the staff members here. Hotel looks good on the pictures on Expedia. Unfortunately it felt a bit as a catfish when we arrived. Room was not clean as we found several long black hairs om the floor. This was handled very well by the hotel staff and room was cleaned again right away. State of the room was a bit smudgy as there was a lot of limescale in the shower, leakage in the kitchenette sink, tile falling from the wall, lights turning on in the middle of the night out of nowhere… etc. Except these disappointments we had a good stay and really liked the private pool.

Was a very nice hotel we loved our 2 nights here. Only thing which I would suggest is the sand be removed from outside your room. As the room was covered in sand all over the floors and even in our bed.

I didn't expect the view to be a roof top and a busy road. Its far more important to be honest. Also to try sleeping through a smoke detector beep due to its battery low every 10 minutes was a real struggle for me. Things like this matter. Clean and lovely staff.

Unser Aufenthalt wurde zum Schluss dadurch getrübt, dass wir beim Check out „verdächtigt“ wurden, zwei Kleiderbügel mitgenommen zu haben. Als wir dies verneinten, sollten wir so lange warten, bis diese gefunden wurden. Wir wurden sogar gefragt, zurück in die Villa zu gehen, um nach ihnen zu suchen! Insgesamt hat das einen total negativen Eindruck hinterlassen, gerade weil wir die teuerste Villa (royal private pool villa für 250 Euro pro Nacht) gebucht haben. Dasselbe trifft für den Blick vom privaten Pool der Royal Villa zu, diese Kategorie (im Unterschied zu einer Kategorie günstiger) zu buchen, lohnt sich leider nicht.
Unser Aufenthalt wurde zum Schluss dadurch getrübt, dass wir beim Check out „verdächtigt“ wurden, zwei Kleiderbügel mitgenommen zu haben. Als wir dies verneinten, sollten wir so lange warten, bis diese gefunden wurden. Wir wurden sogar gefragt, zurück in die Villa zu gehen, um nach ihnen zu suchen! Insgesamt hat das einen total negativen Eindruck hinterlassen, gerade weil wir die teuerste Villa (royal private pool villa für 250 Euro pro Nacht) gebucht haben. The villas themselves were also very private and clean with everything you need. Location of this stay was also great as it is nearby many restaurants/shops, would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re in Canggu!

Our rooms were amazing, the staff was wonderful. Food was really good and we could order room service for convenience. The front desk was very helpful and easy to talk to. All our needs were met. It was the best honeymoon experience. 10/10!

Hands down the best resort I have stayed in! The service here is impeccable! I was treated like royalty by all the staff.All needs were met,the amenities were wonderful! They thought of everything! The hotel it’s better live than in pictures, what a wonderful and amazing place. We stayed in the private pool villa, it was more than we ask for. They treat us exceptional and the service was just perfect. During our stay we received all the help from Devi, from the front desk, she help us in every detail to have an enjoyable experience in Canggu. We did not want to leave this magical place.

Not only did our suite had its own private pool and jacuzzi, but the resort also had its own shared infinity pool with day beds to enjoy the sun and to also cool off. Upon our arrival, the Astera staff has been nothing but accommodating, kind, welcoming, and helpful during our stay! It was a beautiful resort that was extremely relaxing and accommodating. The room we booked was beautiful and romantic with its private pool and hot tub. All the staff was super helpful and kind. There were lots of yummy dining options just a walk away. A little far from the beach but you could walk the shops first to get there or grab public transport easily. I would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

Disappointing Stay at Astera Hotel Canggu My stay at Astera Hotel in Canggu was underwhelming for several reasons. While the property itself has potential, several issues made my experience less than enjoyable. Room Issues: The door to my room had consistent problems, which was frustrating. Breakfast: It was just okay—nothing special. Limited Towels: The hotel provided very few towels, which was inconvenient. Location: The hotel overlooks a construction site, which takes away from any potential scenic views. Safety Concerns: The biggest issue was the dangerous location. Crossing the street daily was treacherous, especially for families. One day, there was a crossing guard at the hotel, but he was completely inattentive, distracted by his phone instead of assisting guests. I had to cross on my own and was nearly hit. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for families or those expecting a safe and well-maintained stay.

Hotel was very clean and staff were very attentive to myself and my wife. Bed comfortable, private pool and spa were also enjoyable. The large pool in the pictures is for all guests however we had it to ourselves every time we went. Rooms have small fridges that you can store some of your own drinks. Minibar prices were more than what you’d pay if you got the beverages elsewhere however weren’t ridiculously over priced. While there are some small details that I think could be addressed, I don’t think overall this affected our trip. The Villa is located walking distance to cafes, restaurants and convenience stores however you will be walking along the road or in grass or mud there are no sidewalks. You could also walk to main area Canggu in around 35 minutes. Overall, I think that the hotel, location, amenities and staff were fantastic. I would stay here again.

Was a bit hesitant on this property as it was 3 km from the beach but the walk there is doable and passes cute restaurants and shops. This property is immaculate. Pure luxury. Private pool and jacuzzi plus another pool for the entire property. Just absolutely stunning.

I can’t say enough good things about Astera Luxury Resort & Spa in Canggu—it was truly a dream stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. Everyone we encountered was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. Our room was absolutely spectacular—spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. Any time we needed assistance, the front desk team was always quick to respond with a smile. They made everything so seamless, which really set the tone for a relaxing stay. I celebrated my birthday at the resort and treated myself to the flower pool experience, and wow—it was magical! It was everything I hoped for and more, with the flowers perfectly arranged for that extra touch of luxury. I also did the floating breakfast, which was just as beautiful as it was delicious. One of the staff members who set it up even offered to take photos for me, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Those photos will be memories I’ll cherish forever! Breakfast every morning was a highlight—the food was fresh, flavorful, and there was always a great selection. I became a big fan of the resort’s restaurant, Paed Thai—the dishes there were consistently amazing. Our stay at Astera Resort was amazing! We chose this accommodation for its beautiful and private villa suites as well as its location central to many popular restaurants, shops, beaches, and clubs. We loved that the resort included breakfast during our stay, with an array of delicious food options. Not only did our suite had its own private pool and jacuzzi, but the resort also had its own shared infinity pool with day beds to enjoy the sun and to also cool off. Upon our arrival, the Astera staff has been nothing but accommodating, kind, welcoming, and helpful during our stay! Through the resorts WhatsApp chat the staff answered any arising questions or concerns we had. Die Unterkunft und das Ambiente sind fantastisch. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und das Servicepersonal sehr engagiert. Leider muss man das Frühstück jedes mal am Tag vorher anmelden an der Recpetion, was etwas schwierig ist wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist.

The staff were all very nice and friendly and someone cleaned our car every morning (we didn't have to ask), so those were positive things. The water pressure is terrible, but sometimes it can be ok. Mostly it spurts out in hot or cold and it's hard to have a proper shower. We couldn't get enough water for the jacuzzi for our stay, but on the last night we were able to. The design of the bathroom is terrible. It isn't private from the rest of the room. The door to the toilet is glass and it isn't divided from the rest of the villa by a wall. On our last day, we left after breakfast and returned at 7pm and the room was not made up. I complained and they said we have to answer their text if we want the room cleaned (we didn't get any text in any case). I had to complain at night and then they had run out of hand towels and the cleaner left things behind in the room. There is breakfast included, but the food isn't very good (typical for a Bali villa though). I got a good price on Hotels.com, but I would not stay there again.

Room was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Was so good to have our own private pool and jacuzzi and the bed was so comfy. Nice touch to have 2 smart tvs in our smart loft upstairs and downstairs. The staff were so friendly and always greeted you when walking past. Breakfast was yummy but although we preordered on one day they had no record of the pre order and other days it took a while to come even with pre order.
