Alt er rent og godt, det fungerer og har moderne faciliteter, men det er et gammelt fængsel med tremmer for ruderne og fængsels dører, hvilket man gør meget ud af som så har givet en masse inspiration, det er et super godt tema hotel der bare fanger en 🤗

Fantastisk sted, tænk sig at komme i fængsel uden at gøre noget ulovligt, fantastisk sted som stadig emmer af sin fortid, tro mod fortiden er det super godt renoveret og konceptet er klart

Sehr schön renovierte Unterkunft, originelle Zimmer in ehemaligen Zellen, perfekte Aufteilung. Ruhige und doch sehr zentrale Lage, gute Parkmöglichkeiten, sehr ansprechendes und leckeres Frühstück mit großer Auswahl. Wunderschöne Sitzgelegenheiten im Innenhof. Sehr zu empfehlen!
Sehr schön renovierte Unterkunft, originelle Zimmer in ehemaligen Zellen, perfekte Aufteilung. Ruhige und doch sehr zentrale Lage, gute Parkmöglichkeiten, sehr ansprechendes und leckeres Frühstück mit großer Auswahl. Wunderschöne Sitzgelegenheiten im Innenhof. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Really nice friendly staff in a historic building. The WiFi was reliable and the bathroom was nicely appointed. The shower was a glass cubicle in the room due to the constraints of the old building. It's pretty echoey in there (again because of the old building) and the floor in the room is wooden floorboards with gaps in them big enough to lose a ring down, so maybe don't bring your favourite jewellery! It was very squeaky to walk around. In addition, there was no bedside table which was a shame, instead some ugly metal lockers which presumably were meant to fit the jail "theme". Overall it was fine and well worth staying if you are fascinated with the history, perhaps if you prefer comfort and quiet, you should choose a more modern hotel!

Ein außergewöhnliches „Knast“-Hotelkonzept, bei dem Staunen, Spaß, Wohnlichkeit u. Aufenthaltsqualität mit Liebe zum Detail verbunden wird. Durch das sehr freundliche Personal fühlt man sich gut aufgehoben im „Knast“ u. könnt es sicherlich auch länger dort aushalten. Eingebunden in die sehenswerte Amberger Altstadt, sowie auch Bahnhofsnähe, kann auch das Auto gut stehen gelassen werden. Für mich war’s ein gelungenes „Gesamtpaket“ u. für mögliche folgende Amberg-Besuche trete ich gerne wieder freiwillig die „Haft im Knasthotel“ an.
