Loved our stay! Warm carpeted floors created a very homey experience. Breakfast was wonderful. Coffee maker and mini fridge in the room was a nice convenience. Bathroom was clean with hot water. Only idea for improvement would be to add a way to charge cellular phones at the bedside tables.

First off, the place was very difficult for us to locate, even with our GPS. The neighborhood is sketchy at best, and one time there were several cop cars at the apartment complex across the street. In walking up to the house, there wasn’t a Welcome or Enter Here sign so we didn’t know which door to go through. When we did figure it out, we walked into a small foyer with stairs going to a second floor. Again, we had no idea where to go or what to do. Finally, another couple staying there came by and said we should go upstairs. We felt very uncomfortable walking into someone’s living room, who we didn’t know. Eventually, someone came out and took care of us. While there weren’t any restaurants we were interested in eating at close by, we did find an Applebee’s down the road, nothing special. On the bright side, our room was very large, clean, and comfortable. Good TV. While I was hoping for some kind of “creek side” view, nothing ever indicated there would be. We never even did see a creek. The couple who own this B & B are extremely friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is to die for. We were there two days and Maria outdid herself! While we wouldn’t stay there again, it’s only because we’ve decided that we aren’t B & B kind of people. We aren’t social at all and pretty much keep to ourselves anyway. It just made us feel like we were staying in a stranger’s home, which we were. I have friends, though, who would love this place.

Everything was great. Quiet room with privacy. There was a lot of snow and they did a great job clearing walkways. I wish they had some amenities for use though like snow shoes or something to walk down to the river. Overall fantastic

Front of house is initially not impressive but 1st impression was quickly forgotten after entering house. Beautiful interior, large rooms , modern conveniences, impeccably clean and the hosts ( Maria and David) were so helpful , friendly and great cooks—-Breakfasts were outstanding . No reservations at all In highly recommending a stay there.

This place is owned and operated by a lovely couple. The large, beautiful house is bordered by a park which would be nice in the summertime. The room I stayed in was on the ground floor. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable queen-size four poster bed, a private bathroom, beautifully decorated, comfortable chairs for sitting to watch TV. It was warm and well lit with several lamps. The dining/living area was upstairs. Maria prepared WONDERFUL breakfasts including fresh coffee and orange juice. Nice conversation too. I really recommend this place for a lovely, relaxing stay. For a reasonable rate.

Maria’s home is nice and very clean although not so on curb appeal. The made to order breakfast was very good. We would have rated this a 5 star if not for the following reason: Between 6:30 and 7:30 pm we tried but was not able to access the kitchen and dining area to warm our food and to enjoy our dinner meal before heading to the airport although we paid for paid for 2 nights but stayed only 1 night. Soon after we decided to head to the airport sooner than originally planned, Overall it was a nice stay on the last day of our extended Alaska adventure.

Maria’s home is nice and very clean although not so on curb appeal. The made to order breakfast was very good. Maria’s B & B is a jewel. It is safe, clean, and beautiful. Maria is a wonderful hostess and breakfast was great. There is a creek that flows by the property and it is picturesque. I can’t say enough about what a lovely place this is. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay at Maria’s Creekside B and B. Nice change from a hotel. The room and home were extremely clean and very comfortable. Met all of my needs plus some. And very quiet. Breakfast was delicious and delightful. Great conversations too. Maria was very accommodating in meeting extra needs. I highly recommend staying here.

Maria & Robert were wonderful hosts. The room was quiet, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Robert and I talked for over an hour after breakfast on a variety of subjects. He's an entertaining conversationalist. I will make certain to call on them on my next trip to Anchorage and you should you too.

The owners are friendly and helpful. They serve a great breakfast as well. The room was set up comfortably with everything I needed plus thoughtful touches. Definitely recommend!

Excellent out-of-the-way B&B adjacent to a park. The staff could not be any friendlier in the breakfast was very good. I would stay here again in a minute.

The hospitality shown by owners Robert and Maria is the absolute best. We had a great breakfast and great conversation - they were just the sweetest people and the stay was cozy and warm. Highly recommend visiting here when in Anchorage!

Love to support local and am very happy it continues to work out well. Wonderful hosts, excellent breakfast that hit the spot, and a cool trail system right behind the property. I only stayed one night between flights, but got to see a moose and river otter on the 2 hour hike I took. The room and everything in it was very comfortable and extremely clean. Great place to stay

Third time here. Great place and breakfast. Owners friendly and helpful. Neighborhood typical Alaskan with some nice homes with others unkempt.

First off, the place was very difficult for us to locate, even with our GPS. The neighborhood is sketchy at best, and one time there were several cop cars at the apartment complex across the street. In walking up to the house, there wasn’t a Welcome or Enter Here sign so we didn’t know which door to go through. When we did figure it out, we walked into a small foyer with stairs going to a second floor. Again, we had no idea where to go or what to do. Finally, another couple staying there came by and said we should go upstairs. We felt very uncomfortable walking into someone’s living room, who we didn’t know. Eventually, someone came out and took care of us. While there weren’t any restaurants we were interested in eating at close by, we did find an Applebee’s down the road, nothing special. On the bright side, our room was very large, clean, and comfortable. Good TV. While I was hoping for some kind of “creek side” view, nothing ever indicated there would be. We never even did see a creek. The couple who own this B & B are extremely friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is to die for. We were there two days and Maria outdid herself! While we wouldn’t stay there again, it’s only because we’ve decided that we aren’t B & B kind of people. We aren’t social at all and pretty much keep to ourselves anyway. It just made us feel like we were staying in a stranger’s home, which we were. I have friends, though, who would love this place.

Maria’s B & B is a jewel. It is safe, clean, and beautiful. Maria is a wonderful hostess and breakfast was great. There is a creek that flows by the property and it is picturesque. I can’t say enough about what a lovely place this is. I highly recommend it.

Fabulous and cozy b and b. The host and hostess were lovely, the breakfast delicious and beautifully presented, and the room was cozy, wonderfully decorated, and very nice! Better than a 5 star hotel. We will be recommending to others!

I enjoyed my stay at Maria’s Creekside B and B. Nice change from a hotel. The room and home were extremely clean and very comfortable. Met all of my needs plus some. And very quiet. Breakfast was delicious and delightful. Great conversations too. Maria was very accommodating in meeting extra needs. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was clean and comfortable. The operator, Maria, would make breakfast in the morning offering some options for guests liking. The food was very good. Guests can leave and return at their leisure. Building and room security is good. The operators are life long Alaska residence so they can provide tourist suggestions and share knowledge of the area. The stay was a positive experience.

Location is good( safer than the hotel we cancelled due to poor reviews on the last min). Hosts were ok, they asked for $40 for the additional person on the check out day that was not discussed or agreed before. On Expedia, it showed the same charge for room with two beds and 3 people. The breakfast was poor quality. Conversation with the hosts was good in the beginning but he seemed to enjoy discussing politics and religion unnecessarily. We changed our mind staying elsewhere on our last day out from AK.

Breakfast was nice. The room we stayed in had a very strong smell of cleaning chemicals that was rather unpleasant, but other than that the room was fine. The bathroom was clean and private to only us so that was nice too. The biggest complaint I have is that we arrived at about 8:30pm to what is advertised as a B&B. We learned after arrival that the main rooms to the house were off limits from 9:00pm until morning. So we were basically confined to our room and not able to, say, boil some water for tea, make a snack in the kitchen, relax on a couch before heading to our room etc. We booked this place because we thought it would be cozier than a motel but that was not the case except for the breakfast.

My husband and I so enjoyed our recent stay at Maria’s. Our room was very spacious, very comfortable and nicely decorated. It was located on the ground floor facing a creek with a very quiet setting. The homemade breakfasts that Maria served were excellent with fresh fruit, eggs, sausage and an amazing French toast. In addition, we had some great conversations with Maria and her husband Robert sharing their history and so much local information on Alaska. This place is definitely a gem to stay at for travelers!
