Pros:Best hotel hairdryer ever! Beautiful grounds and surroundings. Lovely pool and outdoor facilities if the weather had permitted....Lovely restaurant staff. Be prepared to walk outside a bit to the restaurant, pool, reception and parking. The shower was awkward. Very limited storage space for clothes, luggage, etc. No outlets for charging other than the bathroom. Only one pair of slippers for 2 guests. Basic toiletries. Overall, a gorgeous property. The hotel was 3 star at best with a 3.5 star restaurant and 4 star restaurant staff. Bring your own hair conditioner!

My wife and stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary for 5 nights and had a rental car to visit surrounding towns like San Gimignano and Sienna. It is located about 25 minutes from both towns and has on site parking. Postives : beautiful maintained site, pool, grounds in the quiet country. Staff are very accommodating. Dining area next to pool is amazing. Breakfast buffet is the best we had during our two trips to Italy. Rooms were cleaned daily. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Dining staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again. Perhaps for 3-4 nights instead of 5 nights as you do see everything in about 4 days within an hour driving distance of site. Shower was hot with great pressure, rooms clean. Negatives: initially the bed mattress was very firm but after raising with reception they immediately brought in bed comforters and placed this under the sheets and it was perfect then. We had a room with a loft, however I am tall and the loft had a low ceiling so managed to hit my head a couple of times on the beam entering the bedroom. Overall I would give this site a 4.8 out of 5.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful. It was an amazing stay. Our only complaint was the mattress. More firm/hard than we like. But the beauty and staff made up for it!

My husband and I stayed mon - fri in July. It’s a very relaxing hotel especially the grounds which are lovely to relax in and picturesque. The staff were welcoming and hardworking and friendly. The bed comfortable. The minor quibbles would be the room seemed smaller than the images on the website especially the bathroom which had an over bath shower that felt awkward to use (we had about a 3rd up from the cheapest room would expect better) and the image on site for the outside space implied a large private feeling seating area however it’s chairs and a table right by your door in a bank of units that all have the same and the door ways are literally next to each other. Not so ideal when a drunken American couple got in from an event at 1.50am and proceeded to sit outside their door for an hour talking loudly. Obviously not the hotels fault but the proximity meant it was impossible to not be disturbed by them. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were clean. The only other quibble was with the food situation. It would have been ideal to have been able to order off the lovely and less formal lunch menu at dinner time if we had the option. We would have preferred more casual simple options. However the food was great from breakfast to the bbq grill and the set menu gala meal too. We’d definitely stay again.

Lovely place and very helpful and friendly staff, especially at the bar/lunch area. The check-in process was flawless and very detailed, the grounds are stunning and the rooms are traditional yet it feels modern. Everything was clean and well kept. Opportunity to improve on reception’s English and not profiting from guests on Taxis rip off, if booking from the hotel.

This was my third stay at this hotel, and until now, I’ve always had a great experience. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. The staff didn’t feel as welcoming as you'd expect from a hotel of this category, and the room we were given was right by the reception—a decision that really impacted our rest. We were kept awake by loud conversations from guests arriving at 3 a.m., and surprisingly, even the staff were speaking loudly while checking them in. The bed was noisy with every movement, and the shower lacked pressure, which made it difficult to enjoy. However, the biggest issue was the emergency light in the room. While I understand the need for safety, the bright green light filled the entire room at night, making it nearly impossible to sleep without something over your eyes. It was incredibly uncomfortable and poorly thought out. It’s a real shame, because I’ve always loved how beautiful this hotel is, and the breakfast remains impeccable. But considering the growing downsides, this might sadly be my last stay.

Pros:Best hotel hairdryer ever! Beautiful grounds and surroundings. Lovely pool and outdoor facilities if the weather had permitted....Lovely restaurant staff. Be prepared to walk outside a bit to the restaurant, pool, reception and parking. The shower was awkward. Very limited storage space for clothes, luggage, etc. No outlets for charging other than the bathroom. Only one pair of slippers for 2 guests. Basic toiletries. Overall, a gorgeous property. The hotel was 3 star at best with a 3.5 star restaurant and 4 star restaurant staff. Bring your own hair conditioner!

Lugar lindíssimo ! fiel as fotos ! Propriedade que te faz sentir na verdadeira Toscana. atendimento acolhedor no check in e check out . café da manhã variado e saboroso . linda área de piscina mas não conseguimos utilizar por se tratar de estadia curta . apenas uma crítica ao ar condicionado do meu quarto não estava funcionando muito bem.

My wife and stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary for 5 nights and had a rental car to visit surrounding towns like San Gimignano and Sienna. It is located about 25 minutes from both towns and has on site parking. Postives : beautiful maintained site, pool, grounds in the quiet country. Staff are very accommodating. Dining area next to pool is amazing. Breakfast buffet is the best we had during our two trips to Italy. Rooms were cleaned daily. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Dining staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again. Perhaps for 3-4 nights instead of 5 nights as you do see everything in about 4 days within an hour driving distance of site. Shower was hot with great pressure, rooms clean. Negatives: initially the bed mattress was very firm but after raising with reception they immediately brought in bed comforters and placed this under the sheets and it was perfect then. We had a room with a loft, however I am tall and the loft had a low ceiling so managed to hit my head a couple of times on the beam entering the bedroom. Overall I would give this site a 4.8 out of 5.

O hotel era td q eu sonhava num hotel na toscana. Lindissimo tds os ambientes. Estavamos em 4, 2 adultos e 2 adolescentes, e o quarto era de um tamanho muito maior do pegamos em outro lugares. This was my third stay at this hotel, and until now, I’ve always had a great experience. Unfortunately, this visit was quite disappointing. The staff didn’t feel as welcoming as you'd expect from a hotel of this category, and the room we were given was right by the reception—a decision that really impacted our rest. We were kept awake by loud conversations from guests arriving at 3 a.m., and surprisingly, even the staff were speaking loudly while checking them in. The bed was noisy with every movement, and the shower lacked pressure, which made it difficult to enjoy. However, the biggest issue was the emergency light in the room. While I understand the need for safety, the bright green light filled the entire room at night, making it nearly impossible to sleep without something over your eyes. It was incredibly uncomfortable and poorly thought out. It’s a real shame, because I’ve always loved how beautiful this hotel is, and the breakfast remains impeccable. Property is beautiful. Room was nice. However after waiting 30 years to get to Tuscany and enjoy the beauty and relax at what is an expensive resort was VERY shocked that we might as well have been in a loud nightclub until almost 1230am with the wedding music blasting. So incredibly disappointing. Left feeling very ripped off for what we paid. All staff seemed to always try an upsell. Order a drink and they would suggest another one.. usually 5 eu more. We ordered the Florentine steak after waiting years to try it and had to send it back as it was thought and chewy.

We stayed only 1 night at the hotel as part of a Tuscany tour. The hotel has a lot of different accomm options . Our classic room was very roomy with its own loft bedroom. The dining was excellent especially the steak option. Staff very friendly and as we ended up with a car flat tyre the staff went out of their way to help change the tyre and then assist with locating a suitable tyre garage to allow us to get this fixed.

This place is a hidden gem! The property is absolutely stunning and has that Tuscany country charm. The pool is amazing, especially for kids. Most of all, the dinners were gourmet (and we are foodies!), and the included breakfast was top notch with customize omelette station, mimosas, smoothie making station and huge variety of food options. The outdoor seating was under umbrellas, next to the pool and was so relaxing and quaint. The restaurant and property staff were kind and went above and beyond. They helped arrange transportation for one of our tours, and with getting to and from the property (we did not have a car). They were very responsive to questions we had before arrival. They even gave us a goodie bag for our travels to our next destination. The rooms were lovely and very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast buffet had one of the best varieties I’ve seen during my trip where I stayed at 5 different hotels over 2 weeks. My only criticism is that the key ring for the room key is very big and heavy and not easy to carry around. I would suggest investing in smaller/ lighter ones

The check-in process was flawless and very detailed, the grounds are stunning and the rooms are traditional yet it feels modern. Everything was clean and well kept. Opportunity to improve on reception’s English and not profiting from guests on Taxis rip off, if booking from the hotel.

Sehr schöne Anlage, ruhig gelegen. Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer (Premium) groß, sauber und für vier Personen ausreichend, ebenso großes Bad mit Badewanne. Senior Chef sehr bemüht, alle Gäste zufrieden zu stellen. Leider ist Junior Chef nicht sehr gastfreundlich, Kinder sind für ihn scheinbar nicht willkommen. Frühstück Auswahl ok, jeglicher Kaffeewunsch wird erfüllt. Abendessen geschmacklich ok, aber teuer. Auch Getränke an Bar sind teuer.

Für das Anwesen zu teuer. Riesige Anlage mit alten Gebäuden, die sicherlich Liebhaber finden kann! In unserem Zimmer wurde eine Dusche im Wohnzimmer nachträglich verbaut. Service sehr gut, Essen ausgezeichnet. Großer Pool, gute Lage. Vorsicht: Zufahrt nur über Schotterstraßen möglich.

This place is a hidden gem! The property is absolutely stunning and has that Tuscany country charm. The pool is amazing, especially for kids. Most of all, the dinners were gourmet (and we are foodies!), and the included breakfast was top notch with customize omelette station, mimosas, smoothie making station and huge variety of food options. The outdoor seating was under umbrellas, next to the pool and was so relaxing and quaint. The restaurant and property staff were kind and went above and beyond. They helped arrange transportation for one of our tours, and with getting to and from the property (we did not have a car). They were very responsive to questions we had before arrival. They even gave us a goodie bag for our travels to our next destination. The rooms were lovely and very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

The property is very quiet and great for a relaxing experience to rest. The staff is very helpful , especially with organizing transportation as the hotel is not in the centre of Siena and it is sometimes difficult to find a local taxi. The breakfast buffet had one of the best varieties I’ve seen during my trip where I stayed at 5 different hotels over 2 weeks. My only criticism is that the key ring for the room key is very big and heavy and not easy to carry around. I would suggest investing in smaller/ lighter ones

Sehr schöne Anlage, ruhig gelegen. Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer (Premium) groß, sauber und für vier Personen ausreichend, ebenso großes Bad mit Badewanne. Senior Chef sehr bemüht, alle Gäste zufrieden zu stellen. Leider ist Junior Chef nicht sehr gastfreundlich, Kinder sind für ihn scheinbar nicht willkommen. Frühstück Auswahl ok, jeglicher Kaffeewunsch wird erfüllt. Abendessen geschmacklich ok, aber teuer. Auch Getränke an Bar sind teuer.

Experiência incrível. O hotel fica em uma ótima localização da Toscana, fácil de chegar nas cidades mais interessantes. O Borgo ocupa uma área muito agradável, mágica. O ponto alto é o restaurante La Bianca, dentro do hotel!

My wife and stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary for 5 nights and had a rental car to visit surrounding towns like San Gimignano and Sienna. It is located about 25 minutes from both towns and has on site parking. Postives : beautiful maintained site, pool, grounds in the quiet country. Staff are very accommodating. Dining area next to pool is amazing. Breakfast buffet is the best we had during our two trips to Italy. Rooms were cleaned daily. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Dining staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again. Perhaps for 3-4 nights instead of 5 nights as you do see everything in about 4 days within an hour driving distance of site. Shower was hot with great pressure, rooms clean. Negatives: initially the bed mattress was very firm but after raising with reception they immediately brought in bed comforters and placed this under the sheets and it was perfect then. We had a room with a loft, however I am tall and the loft had a low ceiling so managed to hit my head a couple of times on the beam entering the bedroom. Overall I would give this site a 4.8 out of 5.

Overall, a very good accommodation on a very well-maintained, scenic property. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The breakfast staff was only partially attentive and courteous. This was our only criticism. The rest of the staff was friendly.

O hotel era td q eu sonhava num hotel na toscana. Lindissimo tds os ambientes. Estavamos em 4, 2 adultos e 2 adolescentes, e o quarto era de um tamanho muito maior do pegamos em outro lugares. Fiquei encantada. O cafe da manha era fantastico, com culinaria tipica da regiao. Tive a oportunidade jatar tb no hotel, e a experiência foi mt boa.

Innanzitutto, la posizione è molto comoda e centrale in Toscana. Per chi desidera visitare i dintorni, la consiglio vivamente. Ho visitato Lucca, Pisa, Montalcino, il Chianti, Greve, Siena, Montepulciano e Firenze: tutto raggiungibile in massimo un’ora di superstrada. Le camere sono ampie e confortevoli, il personale estremamente cordiale e la colazione – così come la cena – di altissimo livello.

Hotel Borgo San Luigi was exactly that for us. From the moment we arrived, the beautiful historic buildings, gardens, pool and peaceful surroundings gave us that wonderful Tuscan feeling we had hoped for. The location is fantastic for exploring Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Florence, Pisa and the many charming villages nearby, yet the hotel itself is so relaxing that some days you simply don’t want to leave. The food deserves a special mention. Breakfast was a lovely start to every morning, and the restaurant genuinely impressed us with wonderful Italian flavours, beautifully prepared dishes and a relaxed atmosphere that made dinner part of the experience. Most of all, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Warm, attentive and friendly without ever feeling formal or rehearsed, exactly the kind of hospitality that gives a place its soul. Borgo San Luigi feels like the Tuscany you dream about before arriving: old stone buildings, beautiful gardens, warm evenings, great food, a glass of wine and absolutely no reason to hurry. Das Frühstücksbüffet war super mit Lachs, Toskanischem Rohschinken, Käsen und frisch zubereiteten Eierspeisen. Das Personal in beiden a la carte Restaurants war leider nicht gut geschult. Das Essen war ok. Der Swimmingpool mit den Sonnenliegen idt sehr geschmackvoll. die Lage des Hotels ist top für Sightseeing. Leider gab es beim Check-out einen großen Rechnungsfehler180 Euro zuviel getippt für Abendrestaurant auf 880.- geschuldete Euros. Bei unserem Freund war ein Fehler von 200.- Euros auf einer Rechnung von 500.-. Die Fehler wurden sofort korrigiert, aber dass Fehler in solchem Masse passieren ist merkwürdig oder auch schlechte Schulung. Trotzdem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt
