Super 8 by Wyndham Meadowlands

Upon arrival, i asked if there was luggage carts. To my dismay, there were none. I had several pieces of luggage where i had to make several trips to my car. The front desk was ni e enough to give me a room on the 1st floor bc there were no elevators. The room also smelled a little weird. But it cleared up once the AC was turned on. The paint n pictures on the wall made it look updated. But once you look closely yiu can see some touch ups are needed. The wood doors need to fix the chips. The closet mirror was cracked. I had a studio with a kitchen but really no cook ware or utensils. The room was clean and comfortable. The TV was good just wish there was a printed guide with channels. Overall it was an ok stay

Not much to do around. The inside court was freezing cold.

We stayed at this hotel to spend the day in NYC it is very close travels. Upon getting to the hotel check in was super easy staff was nice and quick. Short communication which was good. There is a parking garage underneath that was very open but spots are tight in with poles at the end of each one to section off. We were on the second floor the hotel itself was very clean and had a nice common room however it was SO HOT and walking through the halls was hot as well BUT as soon as we opened our room door we were hit with cool air they already had running. The room itself was nicely set up and very clean the only issue was the bathroom floor had a puddle on it I'm assuming coming from the shower but still clean. Check out was very simple. Will definitely stay here again.

I'm staying in a super 8 property and I received a very bad experience, I have a fever and I'm so tired so , wanna take a medication so I went searching for water in vending machine but It seems empty so I called the customer service by phone it they have water or a someone can bring me some , She was so rude and so aggressive, She only told me we don't have water here miss and that's set .

The hotel is in very bad condition. It's dirty, everything is old, but it's good that there are no cockroaches. The air conditioning is very loud. It's impossible to go out in the lobby, it's terribly hot. The location is not convenient if you don't have a car, it's almost impossible to get there on foot. And expensive, especially on weekends, it was cheaper to rent in Manhattan.

There is no elevator so you have to carry your bags up the steps. Our bathtub had someone's hair all over it.

The building is an old concrete structure, and the common areas look shabby and industrial. However the room itself was clean and quiet (despite a major construction project right next door), with everything like A/C, TV, fridge, hairdryer, etc. working, and the bed was comfortable. I booked this hotel for its proximity to the MetLife stadium and used the shuttle ($10 per person) from Redds restaurant just down the block, which worked out well. That ease of accss to the stadium would be the only reason to use this motel in my opinion. There is ample parking under the building, but in the late-night hours when the lobby was closed there was no lock on the door from that parking area to the inner part of the motel, so I felt slightly uneasy coming back at 1:00 a.m. No "breakfast" - just coffee and juice machines in the lobby. Kind of a mixed bag experience.

No lift no accessibility

It was OK just the location that it’s at getting there. You could literally pass the place up and then have to take a very long drive around to get back. Other than that best part about it was the parking that was underneath the building.

It was so dirty. Our room clearly wasn’t clean as there was a used wash cloth and bar of soap already in there upon check in, there were stains on our sheets and on the sink outside if the restroom. The hallway areas were dark and dirty. The ice machine on the 2nd floor didn’t work and the one on the first floor was overflowing with water. The staff were friendly but that was about it.

Awful. Dirty. Broken tv. Staff did not fix it,help or care. Floor was filthy. Tub was filthy. Furniture was filthy. Totally unclean Staff was awful. Unfriendly. Did not address our concerns. Would never go back. Would never recommend to anyone.

My one night stay here for a concert was terrible. There was no one at the front desk for check in for a while until it began to fill up and someone finally came out from the back. Our walkway to the room was filled with huge bugs and it was just dirty. That should’ve been a precursor as to what was to come. The hotel room was filthy. There were pistachio nuts and dirt and dust on the floor. The surfaces of everything was dusty the beds had hair and dirt on them. The bathroom same thing sink and shower full of hair and dirt. Thankfully I came prepared with Lysol wipes, spray and travel disposable sheets if not I would have left or slept in my car (there were literally no rooms available anywhere else for the Beyoncé concert) trust me I tired. I even contemplated sleeping in my car but alas the area is not that great either. And again I completely understand it’s a Super 8 not expecting high end amenities but basic cleanliness YES! The piece de resistance was upon leaving for the concert after an extensive cleaning and addition of our disposable bedding I went to put my purse in the safe and found what looked like a two year old package of bologna that I assume a previous guest put in there to see how long it would take before it was discovered. I guess I was the winner because I discovered it. Absolutely turned my stomach. I wrote to the hotel and sent pictures hopefully action will be taken.

Place had dead bugs. Bathroom had mold. Only thing good about it was the stadium was close by.

This isnt a 5 star stay and cheap in comparison to others in the area. Its convenient for games or concerts at metlife but thats about it. Bathtub was dirty, bathroom needs upgrading and linens were filled with hair did not feel clean

The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard, with some areas needing more attention. While the staff was friendly, the overall comfort level was disappointing. With a bit more focus on cleanliness and maintenance, this hotel could provide a much better experience for guests.

To be honest there was rat poop all over the washroom ,the sheets and towels had hairs tangled on them and some were just dirty, the washroom curtain had boogers stuck on them meaning they weren’t washed and lastly the water was either too cold or too hot definitely couldn’t shower properly but I mean i survived the stay I wish they could have changed our rooms or gotten a refund I have preocupes of all of this picture and video

Literally 7 mins drive to MetLife stadium and American Dream Mall. That’s where the good stuff ends. The room was dirty, the floors were filthy. My feet were black in 10 mins. There were stains on the walls, and sheets. The pillows are like concrete. There was door latch that had nothing to latch to. The bathroom was basically a closet, the toilet kept running so we had to open the cistern and fiddle with it to get it to stop. The shower didn’t work correctly, 80% of the water came out of the faucet and not the shower head. Occasionally we were alerted to someone smoking nearby because our room began to stink of marijuana. Oh, there is free parking.

The room was absolutely disgusting. The sheets had stains on them - 4 of the 6 pillows where so dirty they couldn't be used, 2 pillow cases had blood on em. There was some weird "stuff" in the sink (Not sure what it was but super gross) and its pretty sad that we had to use shampoo to clean the bathroom BEFORE we could use it. The toilet was horrific - Ive seen cleaner outhouses!! I wore my sandals when I took my shower. There was hair (and not just the hair on top of your head) on the floor & walls in shower & on bathroom floor. They clearly didnt sweep or wash any of the floors because of the dirt, hair, cobwebs, dust bunnies everywhere & how sticky the it was.

After checking into the room, I discovered that one of the floor lamps wasn’t working. I immediately contacted the front desk and requested a room change. The staff refused, claiming no rooms were available and insisting that "a broken lamp wouldn’t affect my stay"—despite my observation of many vacant rooms. Half of the towels provided by Super 8 were stained with dark, dirty marks. The sink faucet had extremely low water pressure, making it practically unusable, and the drain was clogged, causing very slow drainage. The room included a refrigerator, but its door wouldn’t close properly. Overall, the experience was extremely poor: outdated facilities and a grimy, poorly maintained room.

We stayed in Room 106. We chose it because it was a king bed room, non-smoking. But it was also a suite with jacuzzi and a large living room area. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were 2 hangers on the wrack, not really enough. No tissues, only toilet paper. The dresser was gouged on the top and the 2 top drawers were missing. There was none of the normal hotel information we have usually encountered in a folder in the room. Parts of the rooms looked new and recently remodeled and parts were scuffed and warn and shabby looking. However, for the price and only needing a place to sleep, it met our needs. We were required to leave a $150 deposit in case we smoked in the room. We are not smokers. People must abuse the non-smoking policy. Hoping they return our deposit.

Pictures on the website are not at all what the hotel looks like. Its very outdated, not clean at all and the main area in the receprion are very very uncomfortable very hot

The hotel was clean and the staff were relatively nice but the tv didn’t work both nights. They said it was due to the satellite being down but the remote wouldn’t work.

The room was dusty and seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in some days therein and the bed was very stiff and uncomfortable. Finally, the breakfast is a lie, they have a juice machine and that's it. The AC's were off when I got there and it was in the 90s all 4 days I was there. They were very old so it took almost a full day for the room to cool down enough for me to sleep comfortably. Other than those things, everything was very nice and very convenient. The staff were very nice and helpful and the hotel is next door to a sports bar that does shuttles to and from Metlife stadium for events. Their shuttle only costs $15 when parking for some events at metlife can be $60 so it was very easy, affordable and convenient and I only knew about it because the hotel staff told me! American Dream mall was only like a 3 minute drive and it's easy to get to anything around or even into the city. While the sports bar was the only place within walking distance I could find to eat, doordash was pretty reasonable and it's NYC/Jersey City area so there were hundreds of places to get good food delivered from or drive to. If you want something super nice, stay in Manhattan. If you want something convenient and cheap for an NFL game, a concert or another event and you're going to drive, stay here and abuse the free parking

AC not very efficient. Very dated rooms.

Im not be mean, this wasn't a good experience for seasoned traveler. I don't want to pile on but for starters, my room was next to a generator or something that produced a constant, steady noise. Also, not only is the t v super old, it does not work. I used my laptop during my entire stay. Lastly, the shower is HORRIBLE! You either get super hot water or really cold water. There's no in between. Its weird! So, honestly, the building is horrible but the rooms can be and needs to be updated. Ill never stay there again but there's hope.

Decent conditions, no internet service available during stay.

Wi-Fi didn't work for the two days and front desk had no idea when it would work again. Heater in room blew only cold air, had to sleep in a sweater. Phone didn't work at all, power button on remote didn't work. I've stayed in since pretty scummy motels, this one is up there!

Customer service was GREAT! Air was not working in one room and they very quickly made it right !!

The booking process was very easy thank you Expedia when I got to the hotel I was informed that there would be a $100 deposit for the room. I walked out to converse with my spouse about this. Coming back I was told that my room had been canceled my reservation had been canceled. Then I had to buy the rooms over again, which did not register from Expedia. The itinerary was for two days. I only stayed there day. The place was pretty filthy. The bed was clean. That’s the only thing that I can say. The bathroom was nasty. The lights were not adequate. The tub was filthy. They had a ring in the tub The toilet seat broke we didn’t have any hot water for to shower that night so we had to take bird baths. It was a very horrible experience. And my reasons for traveling was to bury my child and I was not able to stay there for another night because I had my money tied up in the rooms for the deposit and the other day stay so we end up having to come back home a day early

The front desk man, Mahersh, did a horrible job during check-in. I wanted to pay my hotel fee in cash and my security deposit in card. He charged me the hotel fee twice in addition to the security deposit. Which is over $300 taken out of my account that I have to wait several days for that money to be returned to my account. He even smirked in my face while I was expressing my frustration. Horrible customer service. The room was great though. Convenient location. Affordable.

Had to wait more than 15 minutes for anyone to come to the front desk to check me in. The room was decent. Overall worth what I paid.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. The place was clean and quiet. Thank you! Will be returning. :)

Out of our 3-day stay we only ask once to have housekeeping service and they fail, even though we let the front desk know before living the hotel in the morning, came back at night after a long day to find out our dirty towels we're still on the floor, we then went to the front office to ask for a just a couple of towels to find out a young girl on her cell phone doing nothing and not even taking the effort to go to the housekeeping closet and getting us two new ones she just hand it one small one big towel and she said that's all I have and went back to her cell phone that was more important apparently for her. I called that entitlement service where you don't bother to value the customer who pay your check.

The staff was my favorite memory of this location. Very helpful, my cell phone battery died when i flew in and they personally recharged it for me. Anywhere else they would have told me to go buy one at a local store. Very Kind of them.

We asked for 1 extra towel and was told NO. We were only allowed the 3 that was in the room, we asked for extra shampoo and was told they didn't have the key to get it and NO one cleaned our room between nights. Had to go buy shampoo. Over all for 591 dollars for a 2 night stay was not worth the money

Avoid this place if you can! The service is absolutely terrible! I booked this hotel for my parents, who were taking my elderly uncle, aunt, and grandmother on their first trip to the country. They arrived late at night after a long day of travel to find their two booked rooms weren't adjacent, despite booking them together. The real trouble began when my dad and uncle discovered their toilet didn't flush. The receptionist said no one could fix it at that hour, which was understandable. My dad then requested the vacant room between ours, but the receptionist rudely denied it, falsely claiming it was booked, and suggested we find another hotel in the middle of the night! This was impractical and disrespectful! After pointing out the difficulty of finding another place at midnight in New Jersey suburbs, she checked the vacant room and let us shift. Why not give us the room from the start? This unnecessary hassle showed the receptionist's unprofessional and discourteous behavior. It’s unacceptable to treat any guest, especially elderly and potentially non-English speaking individuals, with such disdain. My family merely wanted a room with a functioning toilet, but this was too much to ask for! If I could, I would give this hotel zero stars. We will never book here again and strongly advise others to avoid this place. Customer service roles require integrity, honesty, and respect—qualities sorely lacking here. If you can't have basic manners, do not work a customer-facing job!

If you are going to the American dream mall or MetLife Stadium this is the place to stay !!!!! And there is a bus stop right out side the property that takes you right to the Port Authority in Manhattan just blocks away from Time Square

Excellent location to stay if attending an event at MetLife Stadium. It is close but I wouldn’t try to walk there. There is a lot of traffic, and no walkways.

The location was great for events at MetLife. Easy walk to Redd’s for dinner and a shuttle from the restaurant for the concert. It’s not a hotel with the best amenities or updated rooms, but it was clean, everything worked and the cost was low compared to locations further away. It’s an easy choice for us if we visit MetLife stadium again.

The room was alright, it didn’t look fully cleaned as there was some litter on the floor. We also didn’t get towels but someone brought them pretty quick when we asked. It was in walking distance to the mall which was nice. The bed wasn’t comfortable but the ac worked well. Had to leave early though because the smell in the room was awful

It's a cheap place to stay by MetLife, but buyer beware - you definitely get what you pay for. A restaurant next door is being demolished, so the overall ambience can be best described as war-torn. The property itself is pretty dilapidated, rooms were decent enough, hallways and stairwells were dingy and hot. Even though it's walking distance to MetLife, you can't actually walk there due to overpasses and highways, etc.

We booked this place because of it’s proximity to MetLife Arena so that we could walk to/from our hotel after the event, but you cannot walk because it is a highway with no sidewalks and is patrolled by a state trooper during big events.

Honest review: We booked this hotel because we were going to a concert at the Metlife Stadium and this was close and affordable (still, the rate was crazy high for what we got). The hotel is old and seems dusty and not extremely clean, but the rooms are a little better. You CAN'T walk to Metlife Stadium from the hotel, but there's a Redd's very close that offers shuttle service for $10 (roundtrip), that was VERY convenient as the shuttle works really really well. Overall, if you're looking for a cheap(ish) place to stay for a night because you're going to a game or concert, this might be a good option, but it's not pretty, it's not new and it's not super duper clean, it just does the job. The staff is very nice and efficient though, I'll give them that!

The only reason to stay here is if you are from out of town and attending an event at MetLife Stadium. It looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 1970's, but you are a short walk from Redd's where they have good pub food, friendly staff and a shuttle to the stadium (round trip - $15/pp & worth it).

Everything was very Good, however there is only coffee ,tea ,juice and granola bars, so be mindful to bring breakfast, or go to Walmart which is around the corner however bring your own bags because Walmart do not have plastic bags!

Was close to stadium and mall. Pretty quick to get to places. Didn’t like that they had no breakfast :/ even tho it says they offer breakfast which is only a “granola bar”.

Everything was fine, the items in the snack machine were all microwavable but there were no utensils at the machine, otherwise all was great.

This property is convenient to New York City with public transportation. Tom was clean and reasonably good repair. Wifi patchy. I do feel having some coffee or basic breakfast items would not have been difficult to provide.

The property is in need of updates and a major cleaning. The televisions were not in working use and said there was nothing they could do about it. Room was dirty, no continental breakfast. Description and pictures online are very misleading.
