Room was recently redecorated and very comfy. However, it was located at the bottom of a hill and the path was steep and bumpy. Also had no lighting. Overall the property is pretty, but restaurant and lobby are dated.

Nice rooms, they have a restaurant and bar but they close at 9pm on fri night. Sat night the restaurant and bar were closed at 3pm so not very convenient. If there is an event which they had both nights while we were there they need to arrange some type of parking for the guests staying at the hotel.

The Main building at the Inn was very quaint. We stayed in a room in an out building of the main Inn. It was far from the parking lot and had many many stairs. It was a lot to carry our bags to and from. The Inn had alot of vacant rooms because of the time of year (Dec 21,22) We don’t know why they put us in the furthest away room from everything. Restaurant and bar food was delicious and the staff was very accomodating and very pleasant. We enjoyed the live music too.

The facilities were very nice. However they had an event during our stay and the people who went to it took up every parking space even the one assigned to us in front of our unit. This is listed as a pet friendly hotel so we brought our dog for a 2 night stay. After leaving I received a call from the person at the front desk who was pretty rude. She told us that since we didn’t inform them of our dog staying we would incur a $250 fee. She said that we should have informed them because there are specific rooms that are pet friendly. Which is fine but we were never asked. In fact they came to clean our room after the first night and did not say anything even though we had water and food bowls out on the floor. My father had to get on the phone with the manager who was more understanding and only charged us $100. Make sure you tell them ahead of time about any pets.

The Queen suite was so nicely decorated. As we did love the look of the beds, the television position was odd. (if it could of been pulled out from the wall, the second bed could of seen it) The tavern was awesome, loved the look of it. Food and drink were great! Continental breakfast was ok.

Two bedroom king suite is great. It has 2 bedrooms and one common room. Only thing is you need to be able to climb 10-12 stairs, so very elderly folks should choose another option. The breakfast in the morning is good. Restaurant on site is good if a bit pricy. Staff is very friendly and efficient.

Prompt and courteous check in. Very nice room with everything we needed. Our only disappointment was that Eli Tavern was not open. I understand, after talking to management that the season starts next week and she gave me an updated paper given the correct info. The continental breakfast was excellent! I hadn't expected such a nice buffet.

The hotel was nice, very basic. The room was spacious but kind of dismal. Nothing stood out. The staff all around were very pleasant and great, informative and helpful with local recommendations and directions. From front desk, breakfast host and cleaning staff when confronted. Very pleased on that! We had to ask for our floors to be cleaned because they were very dirty. Our socks turned black and we were stepping on crumbs of some sort. We also ran out of toilet paper and tissue the day before our departure as it was not restocked. There was a floor lamp that we had to keep plugging and unplugging because the floor switch did not work. Overall and in all honesty, it was pricy for what it had to offer. My expectation was higher.

We brought our dog and stayed in one of the "pet friendly" rooms. A new experience for us. When I say the room was clean, I mean that it was one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in. One would never know pets stayed here. It did not smell the walls and floors were in good repair. The tile and grout was clean. And the room itself had simple and calm, modern decor. The staff was unbelievably nice. We could not take our dog inside the main building, but it is attached to a bar and restaurant which goes against MA health codes. We will definitely stay there again!

The hotel is beautiful with flowers decorating where able. The sign in was a nice welcome after a very rainy drive . Our 2 bedroom suite was on 2nd floor with steep steps. The suite was nice but lighting was inadequate in bedroom with king bed- there was no microwave or coffee machine. Apparently I didn’t what room held. Would I return- maybe but question where room was located.

The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The dinners in Eli's Tavern were excellent! The walls between rooms must be very thin as we were able to hear people in another room talking at normal volume levels as well as hearing the snoring of one guest for most of one night. The breakfast offerings are a bit sparse as compared to other hotels. An egg station with sausage, bacon, pancake/waffle offerings would have been very nice.

We thought the location was great. Having a restaurant on site is a big plus. Very clean. However room 28 is above the office and has a bit of a challenging staircase. The floors in the room are a bit challenging with a few dips and slants. Otherwise it was very comfortable. Missing a coffee pot though.

The hotel is very nice. Our room was wonderful and the location is great. Unfortunately, we were given a room facing the very busy road and rush hour traffic starts very early, before 5 a.m. so make sure that you request a room not facing the road.

Very cute place, would love to stay here again as it’s convenient and close to my family. However, and this is a big however, make sure you don’t accidentally leave anything behind when you leave, because the staff will immediately steal it, and management will not do anything to retrieve it or offer any kind of credit for stolen items. Horrible handling of an unfair situation toward a paying guest. I will unfortunately not be staying here ever again out of principle. I had two brand new clothing items I realized same day as check out that I had forgotten to pack from the bathroom, called immediately, and still no resolution. No call to offer a credit. No call with accountability or apology. Nothing. I’m disgusted by the handling of this situation.

We were very disappointed with our stay at The Coonamessett. First, I found it odd that the front desk closes at 8:00 p.m. That was not terrible - they called and told us so, and that they would leave the room key for us. But then the room was up a very old and narrow staircase. Worse, there was some kind of flood or problem in the room prior to our arrival (rug was wet and they had an ozone machine set up in the hallway). It was a terrible smell and so we asked if our room could be changed the next day. It was a little disconcerting that they seemed aware of the room's condition and weren't surprised by our request to move. The new room was better but I would note that they don't have desks in their rooms, which makes it very uncomfortable if you have any business to do. Breakfast was minimal and they don't let you into the building until 7:30. Thankfully the weather wasn't bad as we had to wait outside. Decor is very sad - like they are trying for a more modern look but haven't quite hit the mark. It all seems like just a veneer. I've known the property for years - decades - and while I was excited to see what they've done with it, it actually just felt depressing.

We had an exceptional 3 night stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The daily continental breakfast was just right and the staff was inviting and accommodating. The location was perfect… close to downtown restaurants, shopping and the beach. We look forward to visiting again.

We only stayed for one night but loved the hotel and will stay again. Short distance to biking path and a quick walk/drive to center of town. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect! Had dinner at Eli's and it was delicious! Food and staff were incredible! Shout out to Linda our server! We will be back!

I stayed in the two bedroom/three bed suite. It was very roomy with a nice living room area. We had our own bikes, but the bike availability is great because there are some nice bike paths nearby. The breakfast was great... numerous home made baked items, and good coffee. Located in a quiet area on the edge of town.

Loved this place. The room and bed were both large, clean and comfortable. The restaurant on property (eli's tavern) was super convenient and the food was good. Breakfast in the morning was good too. Location was good, just down the road from main street with more shops and restaurants. Beaches nearby too. We would stay again and we would recommend staying here.

The hotel is very nice. Our room was wonderful and the location is great. Unfortunately, we were given a room facing the very busy road and rush hour traffic starts very early, before 5 a.m. so make sure that you request a room not facing the road.

Nice rooms, they have a restaurant and bar but they close at 9pm on fri night. Sat night the restaurant and bar were closed at 3pm so not very convenient. If there is an event which they had both nights while we were there they need to arrange some type of parking for the guests staying at the hotel.

The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The dinners in Eli's Tavern were excellent! The walls between rooms must be very thin as we were able to hear people in another room talking at normal volume levels as well as hearing the snoring of one guest for most of one night. The breakfast offerings are a bit sparse as compared to other hotels. An egg station with sausage, bacon, pancake/waffle offerings would have been very nice.

We had a great time at the Coonamessett. We were late arriving because of a delayed plane. We received a plea sent call asking us if everything was OK. That was just the start. The website made it look like a luxury property but it wasn’t. The sheets and comforter were like a cheap polyester microfiber, not a breathable fiber like cotton or bamboo. I was surprised a hotel would have that. And the breakfast wasn’t good. No hot foods, just fruit and a couple of muffin type things that tasted like they came from the grocery store.

Charming hotel with renovated rooms. Staff was extremely friendly and the room was big and clean. I was perfect for running the Falmouth Road Race since we walk back to the hotel after we finished (traffic was a full stand still). Thank you!

The staff was very helpful. This is not a corporate hotel so you get more personalized service. The room was quaint and well maintained. Breakfast was simple but we enjoyed the yogurt with granola and fresh berries and the bagels. We were also able to ride the bikes, which were provided by the Inn, to the local beach

A day or two after booking the room I called to ask if we could check in early. The staff member I spoke with stated that she would need to confirm with her manager but that if I did not hear back from them, we would be able to check in early. Upon arrival, I was informed that there was no indication that we were flagged for early check in, and that there would have been an additional charge to do so if we had been. To his credit, the manager attempted to accommodate us but was unable to as we needed to leave before our room would be ready. He did offer to let us leave our bags near the front desk. When we returned after normal check in, I found our bags in the lobby, It would have been a nice touch to have had them brought to our room. The room was a strange configuration. It appears to have been converted from a prior configuration and had three entry doors. It was clean but oddly decorated with hats on a wall and it was an accessible unit with a handicapped shower. There was a wall thermostat that did not seem to control the AC vents but there was a window unit that worked adequately. The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. This property served it's purpose as a place to stay before catching the morning ferry to Martha's Vineyard. I might consider returning for that purpose but would not recommend it as a destination.
