4 Seasons at Beech Mountain

Loved that a restaurant was attached to the property. Delicious. Had a dryer to use to dry out ski clothes. Awesome. Charged my card before we arrived. Lame. Was very noisy in the halls until after midnight. Boo

We had a great stay at the 4 Seasons! The 2 Queen suite was very spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, and the heater worked well. We enjoyed hot chocolate by the fire and time in the game room after skiing. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and several restaurants. The staff were very friendly!

The property was clean but very dated. There is no elevator so if you are on the third floor you have to lug your luggage up at least one floor. You can enter on the second floor. The $35 "resort fee" is a total rip off as they have no pool and only a room with a ping pong and billiards table and a small weight room. The parking lot is gravel and had some ruts. So I hope that is not considered part of the "fee". The rooms were "roomy" but the beds were rock hard, the ventilation pans in both bathrooms were extremely loud and when you sat in the dead sofa it sank almost to the floor. As mentioned above very dated interior with furnishing to match. We didn't need it but the kitchenette was well stocked with equipment if you were going to do your own cooking.

The view is great! The distance to the Beech Mtn skiing is super. The room was comfortable and spacious. Bathroom could use modernization, but everything worked great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy in my Range Rover, and I'd suggest an SUV because of the icy conditions

My family decided an overnight of skiing would be fun so we booked a night at the 4 Seasons at Beech Mountain. We loaded up the minivan and headed out. It snowed the day before (great for skiing, right?). The hotel sent us a lovely email about the best way to get there etc. They failed to indicate they do not plow their parking, it is up a hill and if you do not have chains or a 4 wheel drive you will not be able to park and will likely get stuck in the lot. When I went inside and told the person behind the desk that there was no parking. He pretty much said the plows are broken, nothing he could do and we would just have to deal. He did not offer an alternative for parking, a set of chains to borrow or even a place to purchase them. When I said there was no way we could stay there as we couldn't park and I wanted a refund, he told me there was nothing he could do because I booked through Hotels.com. When I called Hotels, com, they said they would reach out to the hotel. Apparently, the hotel never responded to their inquiries and I have yet to receive a refund or even a credit for another visit. What kind of hotel in a ski town doesn't plow their parking lot when it snows? or at least let incoming customers know that a 34 wheel drive or chains are required if you want to park. I couldn't be more disappointed with this entire experience.

Close to slopes, and game room

The place is definitely worn. However, we were very comfortable with a large space - 2 bathrooms, 2 beds and sleeper sofa as well as small kitchen. Location within Beech Mountain is ideal. There is no AC but I knew that going in. They provided box fans and we were able to keep the room reasonably cool despite the temps outside being close to 80. Overall an okay stay just don’t expect an experience like a high end hotel

The hotel is a cool old building in a great location and the staff was courteous. However, we booked the room for 3 people (1 bed and a pull out sofa bed), but there were no linens for the sofa bed. When my husband asked for some, he was given only a fitted sheet. The carpet in the room looked as though it had not been vacuumed in a long time.

This hotel was filthy and smelt of mold. The door to the lobby did not work well and the door to the bathroom didn't work at all, the lamps in room didn't work either. Restaurant on site permanently closed and no staff after 3pm. No AC which is listed in website but also no fans available.

Bathroom floor and shower had hair from previous guests. The door wasn’t very secure, just a push lock with a key. Very loud. We could hear everything from the hallway throughout the night and kept waking us up. The parking lot was filled with snow, ice and lots of trash.

Room would have been fine if we hadn’t had a run in with bed bugs AFTER staff left for night. Desk person is there until 10pm. I noticed a single bug in my bed. Compared it to internet pictures and was almost certain it was a bedbug. Did a quick glance at mattress and didn’t see anything. Did not sleep the rest of the night on high alert though! Morning came and we really took the bed apart and to our horror, obvious bed bug signs were in both mattresses and more alive, crawling ones were found. We were informed that the room had been treated a few times and in disgusted they continue to put people in it if that’s the case.

Place is OLD! It is clean for the most part. Some hair in shower, spoons NOT clean, have food on them, the floor (3rd) is uneven, sagging in places. Just not what we expected for the cost $242 for one night. Oh and the “heat” was on full blast and room stayed cool. Do NOT recommend especially in the winter.

Arrived and no one was at desk. Envelope with name on it had keys. Went to room, it was not made up. The bed had been slept in, there was trash, used glassware, and ashes on the floor. I was with my four year old on a father/son adventure. It had been a long day and we were ready to get some sleep. Spent the next hour trying to find someone that worked there to address the situation. Phone in room was disconnected. Finally was able to connect with someone that lives on the property. She said there might not be anymore rooms available. But then found one. This place is like a grim hostel for children. Kids running up and down the halls all night. You can hear EVERYTHING from all the surrounding rooms. Looks nice on the outside but its rooms have not been taken care of or updated in what seems like 50 years. If you’re going to get bed bugs from a hotel once in your life, I would imagine the 4 seasons is going to be your best bet.

We liked that our room was like a studio apartment. The room, however, seemed outdated in its furnishings. We had an issue with the shower not working, but maintenance was called and it was fixed.

The A/C in our room didnt put out cool air, being humid and July, it was miserably stuffy in the room and sleeping, even with box fans and windows open was miserable. Love the location, but could use some upgrades to A/C, and beds.

A true ski lodge hotel very basic surprised, 4 seasons has their name on it but close to beach Mountain found clothes behind the couch everything is in desperate need of remodeling built in 1964

No air-conditioning. You can open windows and use the provided box fan, but it is hot when you first get back after a day out. Nice kitchenette. Spiral staircase to the bedroom of my suite was inconvenient. Property is older and not recently renovated.

We arrived at 9:00 PM to check in. No one was at the front desk. We called a phone number for late night arrivals but no one answer. We now have to look for a hotel. I hope they do not charge us for the room we did not get.

Have you ever seen The Shining? Well that’s about the best description. Huge, almost deserted hotel, there was only a few cars in the entire parking lot on a weekend in August. Upon check in, I was informed the staff leaves at 5pm & we’re on our own with just an emergency number to call. The hotel restaurant was closed and looked to have been that way for months. Our doorknob to our room was barely hanging on & I'm sure that with one big push the door would open regardless of being locked. Our toilet, in the smallest bathroom ever, did not flush. The entire room furnishings were completely outdated and by the looks of the Murphy bed, let’s just say my back would be better off sleeping in my car. We didn’t stay longer than 15 minutes before we left the place for good and found a new hotel where we knew we wouldn’t be visited in the middle of the night by two twin girls (The Shining).

Didnt stay for very long because we only needed overnight accomodations. The woman who called me to verify our arrival time and make sure we knew what to do for after hours checkin was very kind and helpful. Great customer service.

There is a hidden additional fee of $35 that Hotels.com does not even mention. Upon arrival there were no employees on site. Found envelope at empty reception desk with my name on it and a key. I would not have known to even look for it if were not for another customer who happened to be in the lobby.

The place was pretty clean but it is an older building and could use some updating. The biggest issue we had was the little guy checking us in, he was very rude and needs to be talked to about his attitude.

This was a great trip for us. Our first time to hike on the Appalachian Trail and this was the perfect place to call home for our adventure. 1) Safe 2) Hot water for a shower when we were done for the day. 3) Full Size fridge to accommodate our stay. 4) Fully equipped with toaster, microwave and coffee maker. 5) Stow away table with four chairs. So cool. Decor is a bit dated but if you’re in the area to do outdoor activities like us, this place is a Gem. Well maintained on the outside. It’s rugged on the inside like the area and exactly what we needed. Thanks to the staff for top notch communication and lining out the details for a smooth late arrival for us!

Great place to stay for skiing!

We were on a two day ski trip at Beech Mountain and this is such a convenient place. After skiing all day, we returned to our room and then walked down the hall to dinner at Mi Jalisco. The room is spacious and comfortable. Will be back again.

A bit dated but perfect for our outdoor activities. 30 minutes to multiple hikes. 20 minutes to gourmet restaurants. 20 to 45 minutes to shopping a the movie theater. The best of both.

The property is old, but this is not a negative. Nice quiet atmosphere. We staying in June, no a/c in the rooms but we didn't need them. We opened the window and enjoyed a brisk breeze and froze our butts off. The restaurant was nice, food was good. This is not The Ritz but it also is not stiff shirts and posh attitudes, just good people. O, by the way. Saturday night as we were headed to our vehicle around 9pm e saw 2 black bears looking for food, just glad it wasn't us. Overall, we had a great time, the locals are nothing but nice. sadly, I can't say this about all of the tourist. This is our second stay, we will definetly stay again.

This was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever stayed on at a hotel or even an airbnb. The restaurant Mi Jalisco just added stress to our trip when we tried to eat there (that place deserves its own 1 star review). The shower heads were from the 80s. The door didn’t auto lock when you closed it. All in the place was clean and nice and roomy BUT with any comfort amenities. Like basic comfort sleeping or showering.

We have stayed here twice in a month now. Mostly because it was one of the only places available on short notice in the area. It seems like an old condo building converted into a hotel. Rooms are large and comfortable. Ours had a kitchen, living area, and separate bedroom with 2 baths. It is VERY outdated and could use a serious renovation! Staff is nice and helpful. Would NOT recommend eating at the Mexican restaurant that is attached! We would probably go back here again out of necessity, but if there were other options, I might choose to go somewhere a little more updated.

The hotel is in need of repair. The AC was broken. There were some faulty electrical sockets. Our room had both bathroom lights with a fan that seemed off balance and made lots of noise - couldn't use it. Never did get hot water. It is advertised with a restaurant that they don't own but, it was not open. BUT, very nice people/staff. But, the people were
