The experience was absolutely lovely and had many little touches that made it more unique like the sloe gin in our room and the quiet lounge which we enjoyed a complementary whiskey in. The breakfast was the best we have had and we have stayed in many hotels! The only reason I haven’t given this a full 5 stars on the service was for 1 reason only and that was when we ordered our drinks for dinner it took about 10-15 mins to arrive and there was only 8 of us in the restaurant but apart from that everything else was amazing and we would definitely be returning. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable.

A real gem in the countryside! Quiet rural location with room to wander the garden. Room was very clean and comfortable but only (but very yummy) pizza for dinner. Bar was well stocked and comfortable. Staff are lovely!

Check-in was effortless thanks to an email received a few days in advance, allowing us to complete everything online beforehand. The room was spotless and generously sized, and the many thoughtful little extras we hadn’t expected made the stay feel especially special. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options to choose from. We also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly touches, such as bottles of milk instead of single-use packets and large luxury toiletries, which felt both sustainable and indulgent. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and were kindly accommodated with a table by the fire. The food was delicious and a perfect end to the day. During our stay, we visited Alice Holt Forest and the Devil’s Punch Bowl for local walks, both of which were incredibly scenic and very enjoyable. Totally wonderful experience, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Beautiful room, quality tea tray, complimentary Sipsmith Gin, restaurant and bar serving quality food and drinks, very pleasant staff as helpful as you would want. Excellent breakfast again served by helpful pleasant staff. Will we visit again absolutely for certain. Thank you Bel & the Dragon.

The rooms and indoor and outdoor public spaces were all lovely, quiet and comfortable and the special amenities in the room were much appreciated. Every staff member staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful wooded area in Surrey. Of special note was the all included breakfast with a full buffet as well as a la carte selections. Our thanks to the staff. We had a wonderful stay.

Loved the character and charm of this place. The staff were all super nice and helpful, and really made the experience absolutely brilliant. The room we stayed in was super cool, very unique. Breakfast was excellent as well as lunch. The Sloe Gin “tipple” and the “whiskey” room added such flare. Loved it, and I’d recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. I will definitely stay here again when I get the chance.

The staff were friendly the food was delicious unfortunately the bathroom had a leak so had to move rooms for night two the the staff could not have been more helpful and went above and beyond to get us another one of there lovely rooms so we had the pleasure of staying in two different rooms both just as wonderful as each other would definitely recommend

Accommodation was lovely, a small room but I knew that when booking. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was however almost non existent. Only running at a crawl. They offered breakfast but it was too late for me as I had an early start. Food in the pub was expensive, drinks too. Service was also extremely slow. Despite being table service, I was having to go to the bar to get served. I would stay again but don't think I'd eat there unless it was a treat.

Very relaxed place to stay, bedroom was well decorated & comfy. The only downside is road noise, however there was a fan in the room so closing the window helped. Staff were very friendly & food was fantastic. Great value. Would stay again.

We stayed here as we needed to be in Farnham the next day. I thought it was just a little pub B&B, but the room was so lovely and beautifully decorated and the restuarant was delicious (although my partner bemoaned the small amount of lamb - delicious but not enough). The only downside was a constant hum/noise outside out bedroom window all night. We couldnt work out what from but it did create a disturbed sleep which was a shame. Would still come again though!

Wasn't there long - pillows were brilliant though!! Slight hiccup with the booking in that I accidentally booked the wrong night but Harry was a savior and quickly swapped it over which isn't always possible when booking on Hotels.com. Ate before I arrived so would have been good to sample the breakfast but shame they didn't start until 7.30am; 7am would have worked for me

The staff were friendly the food was delicious unfortunately the bathroom had a leak so had to move rooms for night two the the staff could not have been more helpful and went above and beyond to get us another one of there lovely rooms so we had the pleasure of staying in two different rooms both just as wonderful as each other would definitely recommend

What a beautiful little hotel. We were welcomed by a cosy fire and an equally warm smile from the receptionist. Check-in was effortless thanks to an email received a few days in advance, allowing us to complete everything online beforehand. The room was spotless and generously sized, and the many thoughtful little extras we hadn’t expected made the stay feel especially special. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options to choose from. We also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly touches, such as bottles of milk instead of single-use packets and large luxury toiletries, which felt both sustainable and indulgent. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant and were kindly accommodated with a table by the fire. The food was delicious and a perfect end to the day. During our stay, we visited Alice Holt Forest and the Devil’s Punch Bowl for local walks, both of which were incredibly scenic and very enjoyable. We stayed here on our way to visiting family in London and would most definitely stay here again.

Accommodation was lovely, a small room but I knew that when booking. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was however almost non existent. Only running at a crawl. They offered breakfast but it was too late for me as I had an early start. Food in the pub was expensive, drinks too. Service was also extremely slow. Despite being table service, I was having to go to the bar to get served. I would stay again but don't think I'd eat there unless it was a treat.

We stayed here as we needed to be in Farnham the next day. I thought it was just a little pub B&B, but the room was so lovely and beautifully decorated and the restuarant was delicious (although my partner bemoaned the small amount of lamb - delicious but not enough). The only downside was a constant hum/noise outside out bedroom window all night. We couldnt work out what from but it did create a disturbed sleep which was a shame. Would still come again though!

The rooms and indoor and outdoor public spaces were all lovely, quiet and comfortable and the special amenities in the room were much appreciated. Every staff member staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful wooded area in Surrey. Of special note was the all included breakfast with a full buffet as well as a la carte selections. Our thanks to the staff. We had a wonderful stay.

Really lovely room with a stand alone bath. Good value and the staff were lovely. We liked the menu in the restaurant, although found while the food was well presented, it was under seasoned & a bit bland-something that could be easily rectified. We liked that fine wine by the glass was an option, although sadly not on the evening we visited as a machine to store it wasn't working.

A good stay - my room was very comfortable and quiet. Everything worked as it should. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Other meals were maybe slightly overpriced but this is pretty much the norm in Surrey pubs.

Loved the character and charm of this place. The staff were all super nice and helpful, and really made the experience absolutely brilliant. The room we stayed in was super cool, very unique. Breakfast was excellent as well as lunch. The Sloe Gin “tipple” and the “whiskey” room added such flare. Loved it, and I’d recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. I will definitely stay here again when I get the chance.

No fan in the room incredibly hot ,my wife turned up and checked in was told no food was available and would have to order but eat in the room bar and restaurant closed another wedding in progress Location etc was nice but felt very impersonal, picked this location with friends so evening guests to go with our friends wedding would be able to relax in the bar have a drink and dinner before coming to meet us

We waited quite a while to check in, staff were busy, understaffed, they lady was very helpful and friendly and apologised. Room was nicely decorated and we had a fan in the room in this hot weather which was nice, coffee machine and Sloe gin were great. Large extractor fan outside room which was very noisy, on until 11pm and then again on at 5.30am so a very interrupted night, hardly any sleep!! Bathroom plumbing noisy. Could do with a full length mirror in room too. In the morning breakfast was good, good choice although missed the pancakes they used to do. However Jess who served us in the morning was very unfriendly and unhelpful, she slammed things on the table to us and other people around and did not talk, when we checked out it was Jess again, she only spoke to say how much we owed and didn't ask us how our stay was or anything else and didn't thank us or say bye, our opinion she shouldn't be in the hospitality business. We stayed here 15 years ago in the family room and had a lovely stay, this time however was not good so don't think we will be back unfortunately!
