The desk staff are very nice and helpful. The property is old and really needs some updates. The fridge and microwave was good but the dishwasher is terrible. You can't hear the tv when the dishwasher is running. The elevator is really loud and you can hear it groaning away when someone is using it.

Great place. With a lift, it made our visit much easier. My sister has problems with stairs, so we used the entrance at the rear of the building which took us out to the street/ Parking was across the road in the three story carpark and very easy. Mostly free overnight and small hourly charges during the day. Much cheaper than other places. Be aware that a lot of shops/cafes, etc are not open on Sunday in Launceston but we did find a great place for breakfast in Brisbane Street. Great breakfast and offers GF too. Look for the arcades linking Paterson and Brisbane Streets.

Our stay here was very good. Room has offered a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, induction stove and all necessary crockery and cutlery. We are very much satisfied and love to come back again.

This is a hotel in a period building, so has some little quirks. Centrally located and easy to walk anywhere in the CBD for shopping or food. We stayed in a Studio which was surprisingly spacious and comfy. Big shout out to the friendly reception staff, we were able to store bags while on a Trek, as we were leaving before reception opened, they let us leave the bags in our room, drop our key in the key box and they collected and stored our bags once we had left. The only downside to this hotel is the lift is ancient and you can hear it in the rooms, but they do provide ear plugs conveniently available in the lift.

The property was very tired, carpet very worn and facilities old. The smell of smoke in the room when we entered was marsked by the aircon being turned to 18 on a reasonably cool day. Receptionist was pleasant and helpful.

We found the shower with hair in it from previous guests, old clothing on the top of a cupboard, and grotty window sills with lots of smoke butts left outside of them. These were our first impressions of this property which was disappointing.

I was put in the attic. I was on the 5th floor but than I had to climb a flight of stairs with my suitcase.The room was nothing like advertised. A low ceiling that I could touch with my hand and only one small window to the left over the top of the stairs.I had a view of the sky and that was all. It was very claustrophobic.The constant droning noise of the lift everytime it was used. Coffee stains in mug ,dead fly in salad bowl. Came back from a walk to find cleaning staff had left my door unlocked. No one at reception when I arrived and no one at reception when I went to check out. Left key on counter and left.

Was a large, fully equipped apartment with laundry, which was great. The beds were clean and comfortable with fresh white linen and towels were soft, fluffy and luxurious. However there was build up of mould in the main shower cubicle in easy to clean areas, the fabric lounge was covered in stains as were the carpet squares, and the air conditioner was spitting out particles/dust. In the twin room, the spare pillow had hair on it, and there was rubbish on the window sill behind the curtain. The apartment had little noise protection from neighbouring units or the nearby clock tower that chimed more than regularly (note they provided earplugs in the lift but i can't sleep with nor would choose to stay somewhere that required you too). While staff were friendly and helped were they could, most of these flaws could have been easy fixed with a decent all-over deep clean.

If you value your sleep don’t stay here. The 250 year Post Office clock chimes every fifteen minutes and on the hour a large chime for every hour! If you are unlucky enough to be awake still at midnight you get 12 large chimes!! The hotel has made no effort to effectively soundproof the windows. The hotel itself, whilst spacious and has a comfortable bed is quite dirty in places. Eg the carpets have very large stains all over it. Inside the flat and in the foyer. The walls are crumbling around the window and paint peeling because it must obviously get damp. The lift in itself is a hazard. It makes terrible noises going up and down which you can hear all night in addition to the clock tower. It doesn’t land evenly on floors but gives a huge shudder and you have to be careful going in and out, because of it not lining up with floor you can trip. You are by the way warned about the lift by their receptionist who waxes lyrical about the lift being a cranky old lady. We had booked for five nights but found somewhere else after two nights as we were not sleeping a wink. I tried to get a refund for our lost nights but all I got was a credit of 100 dollars after showing them photographic evidence of our room and the lift.

Upgraded on arrival which was extremely thoughtful. Lady on the desk was friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Apartment was spacious and clean. Quite a bit of road noise until around midnight but I wasn’t bothered by it due to not needing an early night.

The space was roomy enough, with all the facilities that we needed, but needs an upgrade to the kitchen area and bathroom. The tap in the kitchen sink was very difficult to use. Unfortunately, our room was on the corner closest to the clock tower, which chimed all night, making for a disturbed sleep. I recommend asking for a room on the other side of the building.

Very impressed with the staff at this property, especially the guy in reception, so friendly and helpful, this was our second stay and they had stored our bags while we were on the Overland Track for a week, delighted on return that our bags had been put in the room ready for us. We had a one bedroom apartment, very spacious, with a full kitchen and laundry. The only negatives were the washing machine was a little dirty and had to be cleaned before use and the sofa isn't very comfy. Apart from that we really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Parking near the property was easy and street parking was free between 5.30pm and 9am and they also provided a parking card for the secure multi level carpark across the road. Would definately stay again.

Very old place with a strong smell of old carpet. It smells like living in an old car. Staff are offline after 6pm. They didn’t leave me a message for retrieving my room key after hours. Had me guessing the last four digits of my phone to as the passcode of getting the key from the lock box.

Big shout out to the friendly reception staff, we were able to store bags while on a Trek, as we were leaving before reception opened, they let us leave the bags in our room, drop our key in the key box and they collected and stored our bags once we had left. The only downside to this hotel is the lift is ancient and you can hear it in the rooms, but they do provide ear plugs conveniently available in the lift.

The space was roomy enough, with all the facilities that we needed, but needs an upgrade to the kitchen area and bathroom. The tap in the kitchen sink was very difficult to use. Unfortunately, our room was on the corner closest to the clock tower, which chimed all night, making for a disturbed sleep. I recommend asking for a room on the other side of the building.

What i liked was the locations in the heart of Launceston, Close to cafe's, bars and shops and a great weekend market. Room was a very simple layout great size bedroom, lounge and kitchen area all separate. And i loved the bath and on arrival staff warm welcome. One thing ask for a room at back of hotel i had a roim room close to street can be a little noisy. Otherwise i would stay here again.

Great place. With a lift, it made our visit much easier. My sister has problems with stairs, so we used the entrance at the rear of the building which took us out to the street/ Parking was across the road in the three story carpark and very easy. Mostly free overnight and small hourly charges during the day. Much cheaper than other places. Be aware that a lot of shops/cafes, etc are not open on Sunday in Launceston but we did find a great place for breakfast in Brisbane Street. Great breakfast and offers GF too. Look for the arcades linking Paterson and Brisbane Streets.

This is a hotel in a period building, so has some little quirks. Centrally located and easy to walk anywhere in the CBD for shopping or food. We stayed in a Studio which was surprisingly spacious and comfy. City location was great, walking distance to arcades and the city mall. Many Cafes and stores. Old hotel, but refurbished with all you need in an apartment. Heating was amazing and very comfy bed.

The location was great for our family and the apartment was very spacious. The only issues I have was the people above us walking very heavy-footed so hearing every step right throughout the night. The chiming of the clock tower also kept me up (which is not the hotel's fault).

Not a 5 star hotel but clean, quiet, Wi-Fi good, walking distance to shops, staff helpful. The only faults I could find was that the bed was a bit hard and the sofa wasn't very comfortable.

Very Central Location. Clean. Old and dated. Was allocated a basement room below street level in front of the hotel so noise from the street (cars/people walking by). On the first night was disturbed around midnight by noisy guests having loud conversations which continued for more than an hour. May not have been an issue if we were on the upper floors.
