Beautiful setting and grounds on the Lake. Multiple firepits, canoes, kayaks,lawn toys all available. Lovely, relaxing setting. Enjoyed every moment. Wanted to extend stay but was already no vacancy. Staff so friendly, helpful. Wonderful stay. Hope to return.

I loved my stay. If I hadn't already set plans I actually could have stayed on the property and filled my days kayaking, canoeing, fishing, meditate. A very rekaxing pkace to stay. I did kayak everyday I was there, and I took advantage of the circular labyrinth to unwind and meditate.

What a lovely spot! Great view, great amenities and friendly staff. We stayed in the South part along the road - it’s an older motor in style building but has nice updates We really appreciated the cafe on site - had a delicious freshly prepared and healthy breakfast, enjoyed coffee and views from the dock. Lovely spot to swim and paddle! It’s clear that the owners really care and want to provide a nice spot for vacationers We will be back

Property has a beautiful view of Highland Lake. Canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards available to take out. Quiet and serene. Interesting system with dry erase board to let housekeepers know if you need towels, TP etc. Otherwise no housekeeping services. Restaurant was not open, so went downtown for breakfasts.

From their warm welcome phone call the day before to the kindness shown at time of departure, the Highland Lake Resort team knows hospitality. Surrounded by natural beauty and serenity, the resort offered more than I could ask for — lake, unlimited use of boats, labyrinth, games, fitness center, sauna, meditation room. The room smelled musty, the shower curtain liner was filthy on the bottom. The key didn’t work 2 times, waited 10 minutes for someone to let me in room. I called and said I would pay cash, they charged my credit card at 10 am that morning they said they called me, they had the wrong phone number for me! Overall TERRIBLE Experience…

Awful smell in room, mold. Extreme mold in air conditioner. Dirty refrigerator. Bathroom small, holes in the wall. Dirty wall. We didnt even stay the 2nd night, and looked for another place to stay the first night, with no luck. Awful. Sinuses, allergies a mess staying there. Linens rough. Definitely not worth the price....awful.

Staff was very friendly and nice. The bed was super comfortable. The water pressure was good. Property has beautiful views. Nice area. Decent amount of dining options, walking areas a few miles away. Some areas for improvement is the bathroom. It’s fully functional but very dated and mismatched. The stand up shower stall is a tight fit for an average size person. The rug in the room needed a good deep clean/shampoo. A ceiling fan would be lovely to circulate the airflow. Felt a little stagnant. To me minor but notable mentions. Everyone has different taste and style. Overall was a great experience.

If not for the lake it wouldn't have been worth the money it cost. The refrigerator tilted every time I opened it. The stand up lamp did not work. There was a bulb out in the bathroom. Very noisy at nighttime. Just a very, very small basic room. No amenities to speak of.

It is a very sweet spot with beautiful views and access to the lake. They provide all of the amenities a family might want in a resort. We really enjoyed our stay. The beds are a little hard, and the bathrooms are small, but it was perfect for what we wanted.

They have everything you need,canoes,kayaks,paddle boards,plenty of things for kids to play with,they even have a hidden gem behind a fenced in area,but you'll have to stop by to find out. The things I found bad were the bed was too hard and the shower was so small,if you dropped the soap,you need to get out to pick it up, 3x3 shower,tiles in front of shower were loose because of water getting under them,tv was in a cabinet,too low laying in bed,should have been mounted to the wall above !!!

Was overpriced Sheets were askew on the bed, shower was not draining properly, no light by the left side of bed, It was quiet and comfortable though. For the price, expected tea bags, not only coffee. We could NOT get the heat on and were quite cold all night at 50 degrees.,

In my opinion, this is a nice motel with amenities not a resort. Perhaps that designation is disappointing some of the previous guests who might have been expecting more. My off season two night stay was very good. I stayed in the north annex and the room was very comfortable. The room was very clean and decorated very nicely. Yes, the bathroom was small, but it was not an issue. I had no issues with hot water as mentioned in another review but once again, I was not there during the summer when that might be an issue. You can see the lake from these rooms but cannot get to it from that location. I did walk around the main area which has access to the lake with kayaks and row boats available. A nice back lawn with seating and fire pits would be lovely in the summer. I will say that the building with the office in it is a bit of an eyesore. It is the first thing you see when entering the property and it has no curb appeal. I did not interact with any staff as everything was done on line and key was left for me which was very convenient.

My experience at check in was not as planned. I was already 2 hours late from a plane ride and all I wanted was the key to my room so I could go to a family reunion that I was now running late for. With much patience, myself and another gentleman waited as the only person who could check you in was dealing with a very difficult customer's request for a reservation. It took about 20 minutes before she finally said let me take your number down and call you back.Once I finally got my key I was told I was on a different property called "North Lake resort" just 500 yards up the road. I didnt got to my room until 10pm. I was the only car in the parking lot! It was a row of square attached rooms. Small room, small bathroom and tiny shower with old fashion plumbing.I first tried to turn the TV on, That was a challenge and then tried the wifi. There was no wifi password given to me. With little service I reached out to the office and emergency phone number I did get a response and eventually got on wifi. I heard every creek, car, truck and noise threw out the night. I didn't sleep well at all. I hesiatating spending a second night but I had to up and out early.

Bathrooms had mold on grout. Ants and Caterpillars crawled out from bedding. Started to rain so everyone came in from outside and room next to ours was a party room from 1030 to 3:15am….no staff on site after 8pm to notify or make room changes.

Clean room, owner was amazing as was the staff. We were there for my wife’s grandmother’s Celebration of life and after letting the staff know the owner asked us upon checkout if they could name their little Book Library after my wife’s grandmother who was a librarian in Bridgton for years. What an honor!!! We will be back for sure. We come to the area several times a year.

Great place to stay with an amazing view of the lake and trees. The front desk agent Riley was incredibly welcoming and full of knowledge about areas to visit and restaurants in the area. I can not wait to come back again with my kids next time during fall so they can enjoy all outdoor activities.

Beautiful setting and grounds on the Lake. Multiple firepits, canoes, kayaks,lawn toys all available. Lovely, relaxing setting. Enjoyed every moment. Wanted to extend stay but was already no vacancy. Staff so friendly, helpful. Wonderful stay. Hope to return.

Adorable clean and quiet rooms overlooking a beautiful lake! Use of kayaks and canoes was a huge plus. Close to downtown restaurants and shops! Beautiful area. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

We came here for 1 night because we were going to a wedding and this was the closest hotel/inn so our focus was just on location. We were amazed at how cute the property was, on a lake, outdoor games, really cute and positive vibes! We wish we had more time to spend here, deff will come again in the summer for a long weekend!

In my opinion, this is a nice motel with amenities not a resort. Perhaps that designation is disappointing some of the previous guests who might have been expecting more. My off season two night stay was very good. I stayed in the north annex and the room was very comfortable. The room was very clean and decorated very nicely. Yes, the bathroom was small, but it was not an issue. I had no issues with hot water as mentioned in another review but once again, I was not there during the summer when that might be an issue. You can see the lake from these rooms but cannot get to it from that location. I did walk around the main area which has access to the lake with kayaks and row boats available. A nice back lawn with seating and fire pits would be lovely in the summer. I will say that the building with the office in it is a bit of an eyesore. It is the first thing you see when entering the property and it has no curb appeal. I did not interact with any staff as everything was done on line and key was left for me which was very convenient.

What a lovely spot! Great view, great amenities and friendly staff. We stayed in the South part along the road - it’s an older motor in style building but has nice updates We really appreciated the cafe on site - had a delicious freshly prepared and healthy breakfast, enjoyed coffee and views from the dock. Lovely spot to swim and paddle! It’s clear that the owners really care and want to provide a nice spot for vacationers We will be back

Staff was very friendly and nice. The bed was super comfortable. The water pressure was good. Property has beautiful views. Nice area. Decent amount of dining options, walking areas a few miles away. Some areas for improvement is the bathroom. It’s fully functional but very dated and mismatched. The stand up shower stall is a tight fit for an average size person. The rug in the room needed a good deep clean/shampoo. A ceiling fan would be lovely to circulate the airflow. Felt a little stagnant. To me minor but notable mentions. Property has a beautiful view of Highland Lake. Canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards available to take out. Quiet and serene. Interesting system with dry erase board to let housekeepers know if you need towels, TP etc. Otherwise no housekeeping services. Restaurant was not open, so went downtown for breakfasts.

Online it showed that there was a Cafe on site. It was closed down so we had to commute to dine. The grounds were in need of spucing up. The shower stall wasn't ideal. Not enough kitchen supplies such as pans and knives. The area was fairly quiet. The staff was friendly. The smoking area just outside of our room left something to be desired.

Petit resort avec des employés supers sympas, un rapport qualité prix au top, la possibilité de faire du canoé, du kayak, de la barque sur le lac, de pécher, de faire un feu, un BBQ. Velos, baignades dans le lac , sauna, salle de Gym (equipement un peu vieillissant, ils manques quelques poids, et une barre de tractions). Ce n'est pas du luxe mais c'est propre et adjacent au lac. La route est un peu bruyante mais nous avons passé un bon sejour.

A beach area with adirondack chairs, hammocks and shade and an area for kids to play with lots of activities. You would come here for all of that. The hotel room furniture is dated and old and needs to be updated, particularly the bathroom. Because things are so dated, it feels like the room, particularly the bathroom, aren't clean. The owners are lovely.
