The hotel is in a lovely location and has an excellent terrace. The room was a great size but was a bit tired and the carpet needed to be replaced. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Very attractive refurbishments. Do please do something about the racket from chair legs in the restaurant. They scrape very loudly and sound like a school canteen. They need to have caps fitted to make them noiseless when moved.

Nice stay here. Friendly/helpful staff, nice location and easy, free parking at rear of the property. Nice breakfast. Only gripe was the room (twin bed) could do with updating, nevertheless it was comfortable. thanks

The hotel is in a lovely location and has an excellent terrace. The room was a great size but was a bit tired and the carpet needed to be replaced. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Clean and comfortable but service was shocking. In the restaurant they forgot to send our order through so we waited approximately one and half hours for a burger which was awful when it came. The manager did not charge for the food however because of the issues we had. Breakfast was no better. Served runny half cooked scrambled eggs and almost raw sausage. Since returning home we have both been sick and very unwell. Would definitely not recommend food in this hotel. Stay cost £185 for one night and is rated as 4 star but I would seriously challenge this rating.

From the extensive dust on the top of the rotating doors to the stains on carpets in room, doors falling of cupboards and water stains on the walls (and we were staying in their most expensive room called the Chairman). This old dame needs some TLC not only to justify the prices but to keep herself breathing independently.

The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. We choice this hotel because of its close proximity to the Lowther Gardens where we went to a music evening, and we will stay here again.

Convenient location, lovely, helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast with plenty of choice, easy check in and out. Close to buses, which were frequent (I didn't have my own transport). Would stay again.

Loved the sea view from the room. Staff we very helpful. A special mention should go to Lily who served us in the restaurant on Tuesday evening. Nothing was too much trouble and she served us with a smile. She was exceptional.

Had a 1 night stay at the Clifton hotel, location was superb for our trip as we were visiting the Lowther Pavillion to watch a Tom Jones tribute act. Room was lovely and spacious, a bit on the warm side. We could have done with a fridge and a safe in the room. Breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

The hotel is very expensive, it is however in an excellent position close to amenities. The fiixtures and fittings are very dated and the service leaves much to be desired.! I found the receptionist quite rude on check in and the bar staff are too busy chatting amongst themselves to serve customers. Towards the end of the evening we were made to feel we wee overstaying our welcome (at about 10.30) I was just overall disappointed with the stay.

Had to cancel due to family emergency! They said they couldn’t move the date (didn’t want a refund) as the hotel was full and they have turned bookings down because the hotel was full.. but we checked online and there were rooms still available so they hadn’t turned business down! We lost a few hundred pounds!

Hotel in a great position, as has view across the estuary, is near to shops, eateries and railway station. Nearby bus stop for trips into Blackpool. Friendly staff, good breakfast and nice room. Would recommend for a relaxing stay.

Room was lovely and spacious, a bit on the warm side. We could have done with a fridge and a safe in the room. Breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

Clean and comfortable but service was shocking. In the restaurant they forgot to send our order through so we waited approximately one and half hours for a burger which was awful when it came. The manager did not charge for the food however because of the issues we had. Breakfast was no better. Served runny half cooked scrambled eggs and almost raw sausage. Since returning home we have both been sick and very unwell. Would definitely not recommend food in this hotel. Stay cost £185 for one night and is rated as 4 star but I would seriously challenge this rating.

Had a 1 night stay at the Clifton hotel, location was superb for our trip as we were visiting the Lowther Pavillion to watch a Tom Jones tribute act. Room was lovely and spacious, a bit on the warm side. We could have done with a fridge and a safe in the room. Breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

The food was excellent and the hotel very clean. However, the room was really hot making sleep very difficult. I did have a fan and perhaps I would have been more comfortable with a second fan. It was very difficult as the night time temperatures the two nights I stayed at the Clifton Arms Hotel, were extraordinarily high. Overall I had a very pleasant experience. I would stay at this hotel again.

The room was very clean, with good ventilation. The breakfast and staff were excellent. The 2 for 1 cocktails between 4-6 pm were a special treat . Strongly recommend this hotel for its close excellent bars and restaurants. James

The room was very nice with beautiful views, due to the very hot weather, the room was very hot, even though the hotel had made effort to cool the room by putting 2 fans in to keep it cool, which were very noisy and it didn’t work and we slept with the balcony door open all night, which meant we could here noise from the road. The car park was small with limited disabled bays. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was good!
