The hotel is just a shell of its self. No vending machines, few working ice machines. Work needs to be done on the whole operation NO Pool working. Our second room was clean and the toilet worked fine unlike the first room.

I booked three rooms at this location to be close to an event I and my family were attending. I also picked this hotel because the web site said there was breakfast served and a pool. Only after we arrived we were informed the pool was closed, and there would be no breakfast, and not even an ice machine. We could not adjust the air-conditioning in one room. Bed frame was broken in another room. Just overall, very disappointing.

Be warned - hotel is under MAJOR construction. Most services aren't available like pool, gym, food. Hallways stink and construction debris and supplies are all around building. Room itself was nice and quiet. Overall I suggest not staying here until construction is done, which is a long way off. There are other hotels right next to this one.

Helpful front desk had my room ready early. Free guest laundry and another staff member gave me a cup of laundry soap. Nice room, mini fridge, ok grab and go breakfast bag. Would stay here again.

Pool was supposed to be open in May, but still not by late June and no warning in listing. They said "yeah, we should probably change that". We specifically wanted a pool. "Breakfast" was 2 fruit bars and a cup of orange slices in a paper bag. Vending machines completely empty. Ice machine produces 1/2 ice, 1/2 water, but only if upu shake it like mad. Then there are the apparently permanent residents always hanging near the doors in their smoking groups. Run. Away.

It appears thag the hotel was recently switched from a Hampton Inn Hotel into an independent hotel (tarp over Hampton sign with temporary sign out front). The pool was closed, the ice machine and one of the elevators was not fully operating. The room itself was not terribly clean.

Nice hotel and good price. Was able to check in early on very hot day. Front desk person very helpful. I liked the grab and go breakfast bag. Guest laundry was available, and another staff person gave me free soap. Guide channel on tv helped. Comfy beds and mini fridge, hot shower & tub. Would stay here again.

The staff was super nice and helpful. However they were renovating and it was a mess. Elevators weren’t working. The halls were messy with debris lying everywhere. They honestly shouldn’t be open right now. The bathroom was also very gross. Looked liked mold everywhere.

This is a disgustingly dirty property that is falling apart. Its at a point where health and safety inspectors should just close it down. I have traveled extensively for work and pleasure, and in my life have never stayed in such disgusting accommodations.

the room was super dirty — trash left obviously on counter from previous booking, hairs everywhere, super dirty carpet, obviously unwashed bedding. i avoided the bath towels completely. the ac unit looked like it had caught fire once? and proceeded to dump all condensation into the carpet. i bet there’s mold all over that place. i quite literally just needed a bed to sleep in, so i sucked it up and slept in a little ball in the cleanest corner of the bed. BAD!!!

Hotel was very dirty. The whole hotel stinks like weed and cigarettes. I waited 15 minutes to check in the manager that was there was on the phone and made me wait to check in until she was done with her phone call. No vending machines for drinks. The bathroom in my room was dirty stains all over the shower curtain the tub looked like it hadn’t been clean in awhile. Beds were really hard and uncomfortable the paint on the walls were pealing off their was mold on the tub. Will never go here again they should be shut down till it is taken care of.

What looked to be large stains all over carpets in hallways. Half the doors were broken in or didn’t have doorknobs. The smell of urine outside our room was so strong it gave me a headache. Immediately checked out didn’t spend more than 10 minutes there. Most vile disgusting place I’ve ever witnessed

Hotel is under some sort of renovation. I couldn’t even get my door closed. Fridge had previous guest’s food in it. Housekeeping did not come in my room at all. Cigarettes littered area around entry. Room numbers were falling off walls in hallways.

Checked in got room, Went to 4th floor whole floor hallway was not airconditioned and was 85 degrees. Opened room and it had not been cleaned after last guest. There was puke by the elevator on the 4th floor. Went back down and got another room again on the 4th floor as they did not have very many rooms left. All the way at the end of the hallway and there was no lighting at the end it was dark. Room was slightly worn but clean and the AC worked good. Was ok for just one night but would not stay there again. There were questionable people hanging around, escorts??? Druggies???

The hotel was hard to find at night, as they didn't have a sign that lights up. In the first room they gave me, the toilet didn't flush. In my second room, the stopper in the sink didn't open so the sink filled up with water when I was brushing my teeth. The room itself was a decent size, it was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. But the signage with my room number was written on paper with a magic marker. The hotel is good for the price, but it needs renovation and some sprucing up.

The phone in our room did not work, the blinds did not go up, the toliet made a loud flush like sound every 30 ish minutes. The staff when checking in was unbelievably rude. It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed properly as there was crumbs and dried up fruit around the bed

McKnight Hotel was fine for a one night stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a good night sleep but a terrible morning shower! While everything was clean, the McKnight Hotel is in serious need of updating.

Mcknight hotel was ok for the price.....some things need renovated showers and air conditioning was ok ....but could be better. Carpeting in room smells musty due to the air conditioning leaking.

Hotel is aging. Room had noisy A/C and a musty smell like something had soured. Carpet had a large bleached stain. Bed was comfortable. Quiet area. This is rated a 3 star and not sure why.

I checked in Sunday. After 3 different room changes we finally got a room with working ac and toilet. The hallways don’t have ac either and smell. This is a non smoking hotel but everything smells like smoke. The sheets were very stained and dirty. The only positive was the man at the front desk who was very patient and accommodating. Won’t stay here again

The front desks staff were amazing. Very friendly and efficient. I’ve stayed at this hotel in the past several times. It has been steadily declining and desperately needs to be updated. The wing were were in was musty, the AC had mold and there was peeling wallpaper in the bathroom with mold growing in the shower.

The room was exactly as pictured. Very clean, nice quality linens and towels, probably new furniture. HVAC unit worked well. Simply excellent front desk staff. Excellent value!

This was a great visit. The hospitality here was amazing. They knew my name when I arrived and greeted me daily by name. The room was big and clean and very comfortable. We will stay here again in the future.

I made a reservation, five days in avance of the date of my reservation. They never mentioned that they had a check in time limit, meaning there’s a certain time to check in. They’re open until 6:30 pm, I got there around 8:30 pm and saw the front desk closed and a sign with an emergency number. I made a reservation, five days in avance of the date of my reservation. They never mentioned that they had a check in time limit, meaning there’s a certain time to check in. They’re open until 6:30 pm, I got there around 8:30 pm and saw the front desk closed and a sign with an emergency number. The hotel was hard to find at night, as they didn't have a sign that lights up. In the first room they gave me, the toilet didn't flush. In my second room, the stopper in the sink didn't open so the sink filled up with water when I was brushing my teeth. The room itself was a decent size, it was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. But the signage with my room number was written on paper with a magic marker. The hotel is good for the price, but it needs renovation and some sprucing up.

Only 9 mins from city and stadiums. We had the King Suite, very roomy. Was exactly as shown in pictures. Very reasonably price for this close to city.

Had some type of stain on the bottom of the tub. It can be a pain to get into the parking lot especially at night when there is no light around the small entrance. Other than that it was a decent stay, checking in was a little bit of a mess though

The hotel is clean and confortable and at an affordable price for Steelers weekend game. The bus stop is right out of the hotel which made it very easy to get to the stadium. Unless I’m ready to pay more, I would definitely come back

Positive items: Friendly staff, great shower, comfy bed and pillows, good wifi. Negative items: Hotel needs a remodel, breakfast was a brown bag with fruit cup, muffin, etc. several seedy people hanging around outside and in lobby. Relatives car was broken into while parked there overnight.

The area is a bit tough to navigate with construction. Previous Hampton Inn sign to be replaced. Grab n go breakfast back was not too bad if your not too hungry.

Mediocre. Not as good as a Hampton Inn. Light on Sign out front was out, making it hard to find at night. Breakfast was a brown bag with water, bar, and fruit cup. Seemed a joke in the big former breakfast dining area.

Second time staying here. It's a no-frills place, but nice for the price. Room was clean and had a mini-fridge but no microwave. Front desk people were all friendly. Free coffee/tea/hot chocolate in lobby, and free box breakfast in mornings. Close to downtown Pittsburgh (and Pittsburgh Zoo). Pool was nice (but a bit of sand in patches at bottom). Looks like a decent gym next to pool, but I didn't use it. For the price and location, we had no complaints about either of our stays.

Pool was supposed to be open in May, but still not by late June and no warning in listing. They said "yeah, we should probably change that". We specifically wanted a pool. "Breakfast" was 2 fruit bars and a cup of orange slices in a paper bag. Vending machines completely empty. Ice machine produces 1/2 ice, 1/2 water, but only if upu shake it like mad. Then there are the apparently permanent residents always hanging near the doors in their smoking groups. Run. Away.

They are renovating this property. The hot breakfast is not available. The breakfast is a bag with a bottle of water, granola bar and fruit cup. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I guess that makes up for the breakfast. The bathroom needs updated, water in the shower is cold unless it’s later in the day. The bed is comfortable. I’m sure it will be much better after the renovation is completed.

The hotel is in the middle of major renovations. No mention of this on any of the websites. No front desk only a phone number to call. Attendant had to let you into your room, key card system was down. The place is a mess. Seems this property has been purchased by Holiday Inn Express. About 10 rooms in the back of the building were available. Other guests I talked to had no idea the construction was going on. Holiday Inn should be ashamed of themselves. Don't stay here anytime soon.

It is a fully active construction site and totally unsecure. Ladders, plaster, boards, buckets galore to trip over amid dust and debris, all to be walked through to get to your room of peeling wallpaper and a dysfunctional toilet. There is no one attending the front desk most of the time, so any old person off the street is able to come in and help themselves to the hotel. You also cannot make a left into or out of the parking lot which is extremely inconvenient as well. Never have had such a jarring experience at a hotel. They should not be able to operate in such a way, someone is going to get hurt.

It is a fully active construction site and totally unsecure.
