So it wasnt a "beach view" but that didnt matter. Everything was great except for the fact that you couldnt see the tv from one of the beds and there wasnt on-site parking. Other than that, things were great!

Restaurant attached to the hotel is closed during the week. The gym is "full of storage" and cannot be used. No restaurants are close to the hotel either. Parking is if you get lucky street parking. The room was clean, though with old furniture. I don't recommend this hotel. Maybe in July or August if your going to long beach on a budget.

It was a boutique type hotel. Served our purpose location wise since we had family nearby. Staff was friendly, cleaners came each day, bed was comfortable, had enough to keep us comfortable. Some cons: door did not shut well so we had to slam it each time we left or came in, the bathroom door did not open fully and would get stuck on the floor, heard noise above us, not fully darkened room at night. Light came in from the door and windows. Parking is a bit challenging so you’re fortunate if you find something close. Lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. Overall not a bad stay.

I wish I could say good things about the Long Beach Hotel-- but we actually left a day early, we were so eager to get out. Our room was called a "deluxe queen suite." It was a tiny room with 2 queen sized beds. I'm sure it once was a suite-- but they locked the door to that adjoining suite room, which meant it felt like the people in the "next" room were standing in the middle of ours. Anything they said or did, we could hear. We kept the white noise on our ipad all night so we could sleep. There is no breakfast. Parking is $25, but you can park on the street if you find available spaces (we did). The elevators are beyond tiny. The rooms did not feel clean, and there was a pipe sticking up in the middle of our bathroom. I know this place could have a vintage vibe and beachy charm-- it just needs a makeover, some upgrades, and TLC. Till then, and till the room/noise issues are resolved, it's simply not a place where anyone would want to stay--. Hope they do renovate!

Parking is very difficult at times and they do own a parking lot. But you have to pay twenty seven dollars to park in it each day. Also, the television, I'm not very Netflix. Savvy. There are no regular TV channels which is a bit annoying. Other than that, it was okay.

Have stayed here before and will come back again. Hotel serves the purpose of a one or two night stay near the beach. Nothing fancy but the rooms are clean, the staff polite and it's pet friendly, which is a big plus.

It was a very quante place to stay.. it\'s from the 1800\'s so you go in knowing there\'s no amenities. But location and convenience was great for us. Only thing I was nervous about was the parking. There is none. Unless you pay $25 a night at a nearby lot that the hotel partnered with. But that wasn\'t known until you show up and ask "where do I park"?

When getting to the hotel, the lobby was a little warm and not comfortable. Check-in went pretty smoothly. When we got to the elevator, it was the size of a cupboard and could fit maybe four or five people at the most. It was also very slow and we needed to wait a couple of minutes for the elevator to come down to the floor. The room was extremely small. For the price I expected more. There were no side tables by the bed so we could not put our phones or even our water down. So we could not put our phones or even a bottle of water next to us. We had to keep our phones on the floor and our water on the floor. The bathroom only had a sink and there was nowhere to put any toiletries. The air conditioner blew the curtains during the night so at around 5:30 AM light came in from outside and woke us up. The rooms were freshly painted and the bed was comfortable, but it is not a place that I would stay again.

Very outdated facilities. From the air conditioner sitting on the floor in the closet to the remote that would not turn the TV off (I had to unplug the TV to turn it off) I was not impressed. Roaches running the floors. Hard wood floors in the rooms makes it sound like there are people with wooden shoes walking above you (my neighbor was very active until 2 a.m.) Praying to God I didn't get bed bugs. Did not make it through the whole night as I had an early flight and sleep was impossible with the amount of noise. The shower was not any better. The pump bottles for the complimentary soap and shampoo would not pump, the heads were broken off. The sink was dripping. The shower curtain is cloth and does not stay in place. The curtains in the room did not completely cover the window. Pillows folded real cute, they sucked it was for show. Definitely feel like I got ripped off. Not a $200 room, barely a $20 room.

Lobby is pretty and that's about it. Elevator is sketchy, carpets in hallways are dirty, hallways smell bad, room is strange for a "hotel". Seems like an old pre war apartment building turned into a hotel and not well renovated. Lucky I was staying alone because the bathroom door didn't close all the way. Toilet barely flushed. No hot water in shower. Air conditioner directly above the bed blowing on my head all night, so I had to pile pillows on my head to keep cold air out of my ear. Couldn't turn off AC because of sign in the room saying I had to keep temp between 69 and 71... Couldn't even open windows to freshen the air. I killed a roach in the bathroom. The beds were very uncomfortable, room was dirty with dried paint on the floors. Door closed but wasn’t aligned properly so light came in the room. No do not disturb sign and housekeeping came in but didn’t even seem to really clean. Only made one bed the first day and took towels but didn’t leave new ones. Second day both beds were made and towels replaced. Nothing like the pictures. Bed was made of plywood. No fridge in the room or any ice in the hotel as far as I could tell. Very expensive for terrible conditions.

For a lack of better terms, the place is a dump. Creaky wooden stairs, filthy blue carpet, no amenities, room was a creaky old wooden floor, toilet handle was broken. Very close to the beach, which I guess is why they can charge almost $200 a night, but this is a 1 star hotel. Our party left a night early and got a Motel 6 for 1/3 the price with a better room and beds. They should really put some money into at least cleaning the carpet on the stairs and in the hallways because it's disgusting. Do better LBH!

Hi, the staff was very nice. However, our room was dirty. There was hair on the towels and in the shower. There was dust and dirt all over the floors when we walked in. There was a space heater that had plastic wrapped around the cord that did not make us feel safe.

Old, the room very ugly. The tiny bed, bathroom terrible. The shower elements so old, the shampoo had rust. Expensive for that kind of hotel. Air conditioning sounds very harsh, smell of marijuana in the hallways, you can hear the noise from the other rooms. Hugo's attention is the only thing we liked.

I prepaid and never stayed at the hotel. We could not find one parking space within blocks and blocks of this hotel. The room was like a dorm room. No dressers one chair. The lobby was not clean. They would not refund any money. I ended up at the Best Western in Rockville Centre which was so much better. Nevers again would I use Expedia or recommend staying at the Long Beach Hotel.

Rundown, loud, sketchy, uncomfortable…I could go on and on. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. I left early after the first night and never returned, because my kids and I barely slept with all of the noise and the flood lights coming in the windows. The curtains, if you can even call them that, were not the right size and didn’t cover the windows and weren’t even blackout curtains. Despite the photos I submitted and my complaints, they refused to refund the money for the second night that we didn’t stay there. I would avoid staying here if you are looking for comfort, safety and have kids. This is fine for those looking for a cheap beach vacation and don’t care about the condition. The first 2 photos of the windows were taken around 11:30pm and stayed on until the sun came up, shown in the “brightest” photo which was taken at 6am after not sleeping all night.

I would say the property was clean, rooms could’ve been tad bit cleaner. I was disappointed in the size of the room, felt more like a bed room than a hotel room. Just a bed and bathroom. The window had an air conditioner in it so couldn’t look out the window it felt like I was in a box. The hallways were very narrow and other rooms too close in proximity. As soon as you open the door the room across is literally 1foot away. The rate was not worth the stay. I payed $600 for two nights honestly wasn’t worth the cost. The keys didn’t work causing check in to be delayed 15 minutes till the issue was rectified. The best think about the hotel was the area and nearby beach.

No parking, the room was super small. The tub got clogged and it took 2 days and maintenance didn’t come I had a maid show me how to fix it. They gave me a plunger to try my self but it didn’t work. There only 2 plugs in the room. And just so small.

DO NOT book this hotel!!! When we arrived our King room was not available, supposedly due to an air conditioner leak. We were offered a queen with no compensation, it was very late at night and we were exhausted so we took the room and figured we would deal with the situation in the morning. The AC was not working in the queen room and we had to move to another sketchy room. There was never any apology or compensation, it was my worst experience in a hotel ever.

A bull customer service the people behind the desk were rude. The stuff they served in the snack bar was stale. This is the horrible stay over all the shower head was broken. The TV was off for a day and a 1/2 don't stay here.

Due to last-minute flight cancellations and no available hotels near JFK, we chanced upon the Long Beach hotel. Despite our unfamiliarity with New York, we found the location great, being less than 5 minutes from the beach. The hotel was clean with friendly staff. Bathrooms were spotless, though amenities like microwaves and coffee were only available in the lobby

Our room didnt have fridge. So when we asked Kristina at front desk said they will put fridge in the room which they did right away.Nice place to stay for few days. Close to beach. Would be nice if they would serve breakfast.

I wish I could say good things about the Long Beach Hotel-- but we actually left a day early, we were so eager to get out. Our room was called a "deluxe queen suite." It was a tiny room with 2 queen sized beds. I'm sure it once was a suite-- but they locked the door to that adjoining suite room, which meant it felt like the people in the "next" room were standing in the middle of ours. Anything they said or did, we could hear. We kept the white noise on our ipad all night so we could sleep. There is no breakfast. Parking is $25, but you can park on the street if you find available spaces (we did). The elevators are beyond tiny. The rooms did not feel clean, and there was a pipe sticking up in the middle of our bathroom. I know this place could have a vintage vibe and beachy charm-- it just needs a makeover, some upgrades, and TLC. Till then, and till the room/noise issues are resolved, it's simply not a place where anyone would want to stay--. Hope they do renovate!

Staff was wonderful. Everything else was not. Advertised restaurant and bar was closed. Nothing else nearby. Rooms were tiny with paper thin walls. Not worth what we paid.

I understand that it's an Ocean property but I've stayed at others in LB and the rooms were larger and cheaper. Food was mediocre at best at the bar.

Loved how close we were to the beach. It was a perfect spot to stay since most of our time was spent on the beach. Staff was extremely friendly and the free coffee in the morning was good. Wish they did breakfast too since its a little hard finding breakfast in the area.

The best - close to the beach, comfortable bed, hot water was great, towels super soft, WiFi was good, tons of free parking. The average - welcome wasn’t much and no review of amenities, the bar was fine and the waitress was good. The worst - the food was pretty awful at the bar. No one mentioned the discount for those staying at the hotel. I noticed a tiny sign when leaving.

Terrible room, no amenities, old and dirty ironing board, TV didn’t work, phone didn’t work, king room was barely able to fit 2 adults, no available outlets, beach passes were to be provided at front desk but they had “run out”, ice machine didn’t work, vending machine for cold drinks out of order, curtains had to be left open or else the window a/c unit was blocked and at 5:30 am sunlight was streaming in, not much usable furniture, one plastic chair in room, fridge sitting on the floor…felt like a bad dorm room not a hotel room…Not worth the price!

I would not suggest this hotel. Felt very unsafe, even with security in lobby. Could be a great place to stay if they would stop doing “government rentals”….or whatever they like to call it. Great proximity to beautiful Long Beach, but not worth the cost they charge, or the caliber of people living there.
