Positive experience! Parking was a few feet from our cabin door. Staff was friendly. Cabin was SUPER clean. All appliances seemed new. One suggestion: Provide more bar soap for bathroom and provide paper towels (or alternative) for kitchen area. Great location--close to restaurants and recreation areas. We'll be back!

We reserved this cabin while searching for future vacations in Deep Creek. Very roomy attractive cabin among several individual cabins conveniently in McHenry. We were greeted by very friendly Jenner who gave us the checking info and directions for parking in front of the cabin. Two queen beds and modern kitchenette, bathroom and TV . Very close to grocery store, restaurants and coffee. More indoor lighting would have been welcome.

Comfortable cabin, loved the full sized fridge and soft bed. Next time we stay there I will choose one of cabins with a hot tub. The playground was perfect for my three kids. We signed out a board game and that was a perfect way to wind down at the end of the day.

This was a great find on short notice. We were booking an impromptu trip to Wisp Ski Resort and the Lodges were a short 5 minute drive to the resort. The cabins are super cozy and comfy with plenty of space. The basics were covered and we felt right at home there. The area is also very dog friendly. The check in and check out process was seamless and super easy and the staff were absolutely incredible and always available. We are definitely planning on coming back here very soon!

The views are beautiful. The property appeared to be fairly new and very well kept. There are hot tubs, but they are only for certain cabins. If you want a hot tub, make sure your cabin includes it, as ours did not. That was disappointing. Staff at check in are very welcoming and friendly.

Our cabin was very nice. The extras (shampoo, kitchen utensils, etc were appreciated. WE enjoyed our stay, but there were a few problems: The lights were too dim. The blanket was old and thin. There were some stains on carpet. Your signage is very difficult to see. We had a difficult time finding your location, even with internet search. Thank you!

Communication with the community was exceptional! Accidentally entered wrong date of arrival but attendant from the facility called me immediately and kindly changed the date without hesitation and even offered a better room. It was Christmas eve and the office communicated to make sure they would still be in the office when we arrived to ensure we received keys. They waited until we arrived and check in was so easy. The cabin was very clean and cozy and the view was amazing! Thank you Jenny for all your help!! Will be returning again!

It was decent. The bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress was thin and extra soft. No support. We couldn’t use the pull out sofa at all because you could feel the bars though the thin mattress. Luckily we always carry a blow up mattress for our teenage son. It was clean except the carpet needed shampooed. Overall not a bad stay but not a place I would choose to stay again.

This is a very cozy cabin. I really enjoyed staying here. The checkin process was a simple as showing up and saying your name. The checkout process was easy too. I simply left the door keys at the front office. The cabin is very spacious. They left 1 shampoo and 1 soap for each occupant for a 1 night stay. There was keurig coffee available in the room, though I didn't have a cup to use. There is a fireplace and a very large smart tv. I was able to log in with my own Netflix account to watch a movie. Quiet time starts at 10, so you don't have to worry about other guests keeping you up all night. All in all, a very good stay.

The room in 49R was great except the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was a big dip in the middle. My husband and I did not sleep well at all. I felt itchy in bed as well. The staff were trying to be accommodating to our complaints about the bed, but there really wasn’t much to do. In texting with the staff, they offered maintenance to come to look at the bed but we declined. They also offered a discounted rate to stay another night but we could not stay another night. Plus, I wouldn’t want to sleep in that bed another night. I would stay at the lodge again but only if I knew the beds were more comfortable.

First time staying at this area and was very happy with mostly everything it was clean, perfect location, comfortable beds, staff friendly and and attentive! The only thing that I would change is that the rooms were very dark, even with all the lights on.

Charming space for a weekend away. The staff was friendly and the room was cozy and very clean. We loved the fireplace and close proximity to Wisp.

The room in 49R was great except the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was a big dip in the middle. My husband and I did not sleep well at all. I felt itchy in bed as well. The staff were trying to be accommodating to our complaints about the bed, but there really wasn’t much to do. In texting with the staff, they offered maintenance to come to look at the bed but we declined. They also offered a discounted rate to stay another night but we could not stay another night. Plus, I wouldn’t want to sleep in that bed another night. I would stay at the lodge again but only if I knew the beds were more comfortable.

Positive experience! Parking was a few feet from our cabin door. Staff was friendly. Cabin was SUPER clean. All appliances seemed new. One suggestion: Provide more bar soap for bathroom and provide paper towels (or alternative) for kitchen area. Great location--close to restaurants and recreation areas. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time. Wisp is right across the street, it made it very convenient to ski and tube. There are a lot of places to eat right there. Very cute cabin. Can't wait to go back!

Worse stay EVER!!!! Me and my kids were so disappointed to find out the area provides NO way to get around. I had fun activities planned for our Christmas trip but was NOT able to do ANY of them since it wasn’t in walking distance! And to make matters worse, I missed my return trip back home on greyhound and the property still charged every hour I went over checkout time even though they knew the situation!!! Never going back!!!

Pros: Value. Beautiful views of the ski resort and lake. Nice sized cabins. Comfortable beds. Cons: Not walkable. Room was dark. Lighting could be improved and walls could be repainted.

The cabin sliding doors in the back faced a white painted brick wall and the windows on the side faced the side of the next log cabin. The pictures on the site made it feel like there was water access for boating and swimming and there was for sure... but once you crossed a major highway and found your way past the put-put golf and go-kart raceway. There was a nice grassy knoll above Deep Creek Lake and a dock if you have a boat, but no ladder to get back on the dock, so if you jump in the lake its an adventurous scramble to climb back on the dock. The blackout curtains at the room were really effective though, and we all slept really well, so we gave it 3 stars because the experience was pretty good overall, but it did feel slightly misleading and overpriced for the package.

The cabins are attractive, but not practical if you need some quiet to sleep. The a/c was rattling loudly and the refrigerator (that is at your feet) had its own range of noises. I reported both and heard back thru maintenance that they were not making noise. Huh. Second night the neighboring cabin’s hot tub had a very loud pump and I clearly heard all conversations, the on and offs of the jets and enjoyment noises until after midnight. The hot tub resides against the cabin side wall that was my headboard— literally 12 inches through the cabin siding from my head. I was never forewarned that it was there or to expect the extremely loud noise. If you have a watch it will alert you. The concept of the lodges is cute, but I paid $650 to get a detached unit which yielded limited zzzzs. Had the nightly rate been more reasonable I would have been more tolerant. Buyer beware.

The WiFi is as awful In our original cabin. They were willing to move us which provided better internet but the room did not have the same number of beds we had previously and the toilet didn’t flush. There were also REALLY bright exterior lights that we could not turn off. It was frustrating. It wasn’t “off season” but it felt like these were issues that should’ve been fixed before summer.
