Staff amazing, location is great. Coffee, dining Universal Studios very close. But no microwave, coffee maker and pool. The location and staff makes up for it. I would definitely stay there again.

Quick (early) check-in. Front desk was very friendly. Small parking lot, but we were able to find parking each night. Neighborhood seemed fine, we even walked to a few places. Property is older, but maintained. We had the suite with the hot tub in it. Very basic, a few cable channels, no pool/gym, no room service, etc. Toiletries aren’t the best (bar soap was awful & hard to lather). We ended up buying our own toiletries since we forgot to bring them. We were visiting Universal Studios and it was a short drive. We paid the $35 general parking at Universal. All in all, I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Super clean rooms and linen. Love that the other room we rented had 3 beds and was very spacious. Close to Universal Studios and the price was less than expected! This is the third time we stay here! Definitely will come back next year!

The hotel has bed bugs and was dirty. After a long day at universal I must have missed them because I do search every hotel before I stay there. Woke up the next morning and found one alive and crawling in bed. Took photos and booked it out of there. Told the individual in the front office who wasn’t surprised at all. He was kind and apologetic. The only good thing was the staff were friendly. Avoid this place unless you want bed bugs. Please always check the bed and surrounding areas.

The room smelled of really strong cologne - we couldn’t get it to air out at all. One of the beds had stained bed sheets, and there was someone’s leftover McDonald’s in the microwave.

My wife, our two daughters, and I stayed at Colony Inn for our Universal and Disneyland trip. The pictures online and room descriptions looked good, so we booked and payed. But it was anything but good upon arrival. The room wreaked of urine, the carpet turned our white socks, brown. Each wall was covered with dirt, make-up, scratches, holes, etc. There were loose screws on the headboard and the closet door was off its track and was laying against the back of the closet. We found mold in the window and at the base of the toilet. The toilet was old and the seat worn down to reveal the wood. Every corner had dirt, dust and hair stuck to the floor molding. The manager is terribly rude, and does not hold proper customer service standards. She insulted my wife for informing them of the condition of our room, by informing her that she was “A woman with no common sense.” The worst of it, was our 12 year old daughter walked down to our car in their parking lot, and found several used condoms and trash in plain sight. Please don’t make the same awful mistake we made by staying at this Inn. Please pay the extra money to stay somewhere that is safe and clean for your family.

This place is adorable, but the bedding was dirty, and so was the carpet. If you choose to stay here some rooms have carpet others have hard wood floor. I recommend bringing slides for walking on the carpet. If you take a shower and step on the carpet or even when they’re dry your feet turn black and it feels sticky. The office people were very nice.

Worn out. Floors, terrible shape. Mold in the shower, nonexistent cable, TV, missing lightbulbs, poor interior, lighting in the room, no end table lights. Bathroom door doesn’t fit properly and not a towel hook to be found. Would never dream of ever going back. staff was quite helpful for what they had to work with.

Got there late at night looking to sleep and only sleep. We pulled the blanket back on the bed only to find brown stains that looked to be fresh on the sheets. The room smelled real bad of something. It wasn’t pleasant. The carpets were dirty. If you can avoid this hotel please do so.

Very close to Universal Studios, lots of dining options near. Older building but updated bathroom, ac worked well. A mini refrigerator that actually cools and keeps things cold was a huge plus and a table and chairs made it perfect. All the basics covered, definitely would come again.

We stayed here overnight while attending Horror Nights at Universal Studios. It was walkable to convenience stores and local restaurants and coffee shops and about 5 minutes to Universal Studios. The only things I can say that need improvement was the beds were very hard and the A/C was very loud.

Good overnight experience. Toni was very nice & room was clean. It’s centrally located in downtown NOHO & walking distance to haha comedy club & great restaurants Recommendation's. - rooms need a makeover and needs paint job .

Room needed more blankets. 3 Beds and only 2 blankets available in the hutch. Parking lot is small. Area surrounding the hotel is a bit rough. Overall it was okay, nothing to write home about. AC tends to make the bed closer to and the carpet wet and cold. Beds weren’t great, they concave on you but for price it’s decent. Definitely a pay what you get for hotel but it was close to Universal driving.

Room was fairly clean, needs updating and better maintenance, bed was comfortable, pillows were terribly hard and hurt my ears. Carpet needs to be stretched as it was buckled in areas. Overall a fair place for an overnight stay.

We were very impressed with the service at this hotel. They let us check in early without extra fees and even sent us messages if we needed anything before and during check in. They provided prompt responses by text and excellent information. If you are planning to visit Universal studios Hollywood and need a place to stay, Colony Inn should be your first choice. The hotel allows you to park at their property without any extra charges and the theme park is very close by. There are many eateries, shopping areas, and other amenities nearby.

I’ve been coming to this property for years. Manager was amazing! I’ve never had such an easy check in great service helped me with anything that was wrong in my room immediately! I can’t say enough about how great this new manager is

Hot tub probably needs to be run and cleaned. But it wasn’t terrible. Tv dint work, had to call front desk, but they came right up. Parking was good thank goodness! Overall great staff gal at front desk changed out room for us, which was much appreciated!!

Checking in with front office clerk super easy. She was really friendly and answered any questions we had. The room is a regular basic hotel. It was clean and ready for us :)

Overall, this was an excellent stay. I highly recommend getting there early enough for parking and from there take Uber services. At night the parking lot is completely filled and you would have to pay for parking. The room had a few dings and scrapes that are expected from an economy style inn. The bed was pretty hard but served its purpose. For the price and it being so close to holiday season I would definitely stay here again. Staff is very friendly!

We arrived in the night at the hotel and had to wait outside of the office window for at least 30 minutes, calling and knocking before we woke up the clerk from the back. We had to knock on their employee only room which is probably where he slept. He wanted to hold my ID because there system was down, not our problem and sketchy to ask. The hotel room was extremely over priced for what it was, not updated in the least bit and not comfortable. The beds only had a sheet to sleep with and there was dust and dirt in one of them but we were so tired and over it. To add to all of this, when the cleaners came through the room they stole our phone charger boxes. This was not a pleasant experience and I would like a refund.

Exactly what we needed to be right down the street from Universal Studios maybe 5 mins driving. If you like Mexican food try Ernie's It's close and the food was great.

The Hotel was very accommodating and decently priced compared to many other hotels in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable. It is very close to all the activities we did in the area including Universal, Walk of Fame, and the Hollywood sign. We would definitely stay here agian.

The Colony Inn is a conveniently located budget motel in the heart of NoHo. The rooms were clean but pretty bare bones. The room was surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to Vineland and Lankershim. Off-street parking seemed safe.

The Hotel it's self is older but very clean room's and very nice staff my only complaint is there area is very rundown and a lot of homeless living just off the property. Reeks of weed outside.

Very close to Universal Studios, lots of dining options near. Older building but updated bathroom, ac worked well. A mini refrigerator that actually cools and keeps things cold was a huge plus and a table and chairs made it perfect. All the basics covered, definitely would come again.

It is not a new facility but our room was very clean as was the bathroom and the bed was perfect! The front desk was very helpful. I only wish the rooms had coffee makers as we love slow mornings without having to dress n go down to office for coffee.

Greeted with a smile the front dest was so kind and welcoming. As someone from California this was a budget friendly option for us so it met exactly what we were looking for. Something simple with a fun twist by having the spa tub in our room. Bedding and restroom were clean. There’s a few cosmetic issues that could be addressed but doesn’t change my mind about staying here again. Parking was free and easy not congested. We used Uber to get to universal studios and it was around $8-$10 each way. Still easier than trying to park over there. About a 15 minute walk to restaurants and quick bites.

I like that they have elevators, good cable. i didnt like that in expidia say they have breakfast available. I asked they said only coffee. Toilet didnt work well ;(. Is noise at the property in the morning the cleaning ladies running around with the cleaning carts you can't sleep in.

Staff amazing, location is great. Coffee, dining Universal Studios very close. But no microwave, coffee maker and pool. The location and staff makes up for it. I would definitely stay there again.

The location is very close to universal Studio's (7-8 mins by a cab) and therefore we chose to stay here. Our primary goal was just a place to crash after a tiresome day walking around Universal studios, this fit the bill and I would recommend this place in terms of proximity and price. Also, the manager was kind to allow us an early checkin which we really appreciate. Would not recommend the location for walking around at night though. Overall a good experience, thank you Colony Inn.

Parking is problematic, more rooms than parking spots, If your coming in late may not have a spot. street parking is available. When we checked into the room at 3:30 the AC was off and the room was in the 90's we turned on the AC and went out to eat and then to universal horror nights when we got back to the room around 1am we had no place to park, once in the room was cool enough to sleep but not down to the 78 degrees we had it set at it ran all night not sure the ac was helping that much. Overall the room is outdated but clean, beds very firm and wouldnt want to spend days in the room but if you need a cheap place to stay for a night its ok. Not sure I would recommend for a family.

Enclosed parking good for security Outside area looks rough but rooms especially bathrooms very nice and clean Housekeeping was amazing not only did sheets daily but folded additional blankets and made decorative bath tissue the kids loved. Nice easy staff very friendly check in and check out

Wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The room was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was also very convenient. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!
