The property was far enough from the town lights so that you get an awesome view of the stars! The bed was very comfortable and the fire pit was great. We sat outside under the stars with the fire and our wine, perfect!

Such a fun experience! Yurt was, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Enjoyed the fire pit, grill, looking at the stars, the view of the night sky from the yurt and the beautiful sunrise. Highly recommend.

This adds a really special experience to a day or two in Joshua tree national park! You’re not in the park but you’re basically out in the desert and yet it has all the low-key luxury and convenience you need! A shower outside, yet private, a BBQ and a fire right underneath the stars! The yurt is super cute and pretty with all its details and the bed is comfortable! Erin sent out a lovely email in advance with some info and helped us during out stay with anything we needed! Hopefully gonna come back one day!

The property is beautiful and the yurts are spread out to provide privacy while close enough for management to respond to any needs. The yurt is fully equipped with everything you need. Heat, AC, dishes, grill, and a darling outside shower. The views are unmatched and you can enjoy them from the outside patio, fire pit, or the viewing hole inside the yurt. The bed was extremely comfortable and we wanted to bring the pillows along with us! We would absolutely return and recommend to anyone who wants unique experience.

We have never "glamped" before, so weren't sure what to expect. It was AMAZING! So much easier than camping, but still able to disconnect and enjoy nature. It happened to be very windy/rainy during our stay which would have been miserable in a tent, but we were cozy,warm and dry in our Yurt. Erin provides everything, fire pit, BBQ, heat, shower etc...so peaceful, even the sounds of the coyotes in the distance were comforting. The property is expansive and well maintained.

The Mongolian yurt that we stayed in was beautiful. It was nice and cozy on a cool spring night in the desert. The beds are amazingly clean and comfortable. There is a small inside sink and some kitchen setup. The property is secluded but does have neighbors and access to 29 Palms. There is an outhouse and outside shower stall. Nice outside sitting area with a firepit. Great experience.

Host Erin was very friendly and checked on us periodically throughout our stay to ensure we had our needs met. She showed us how to use the marine toilet and gave us suggestions for things to do in the surrounding area. Everything was very clean and comfortable and we tried our best to leave it in the same pristine condition. Many amenities were provided including coffee and a water filter, electricity, solar lights, towels, washcloths, etc. Almost everything you could think of was available and we enjoyed the fire pit, gas bbq for cooking, and my son said that sleeping in the bean bag bed was like “laying in a cloud”. We got up early to watch the sunrise and left the campsite feeling refreshed, relaxed, and happy. Thanks Erin for a wonderful experience and we hope to come back and visit you again soon!

We absolutely enjoyed our weekend in the Yurt. Upon arrival we were greeted by our host who welcomed us and showed us around our yurt. This was our first time staying in one and we were mesmerized. Huge space with everything you need. We felt over packed! We had a very cold a/c nice hot running water for showers and large Gas grill for cooking. She thought of everything with her rentals…even a kettle and French press for coffee. The fire pit was equipped with pillows and blankets to cozy up next to the fire. We didn’t hesitate either. Weather was perfect this time of year. Sound does carry and walls are thin but our neighbors were pretty quiet. We weren’t disturbed at all during our stay. We were located 15 minutes from places to eat shop etc. Give Big Josh’s a pass by for some really cool souvenirs and photo opps. This location was a great find and I’m so glad I did! We will definitely be back.

This is a very different experience than staying in a hotel. Erin has eight Yurts she imported from Mongolia. There is no TV and you should expect to be fairly quiet. It’s west of 29 Palms and about 20 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. This is in a desert so expect it to be hot but there is air conditioning. The shower is outside. We enjoyed eating dinner on the picnic table followed by sitting outside and watching the stars as the night deepened. Much more fun than a hotel.

Wonderful friend group get-away for the weekend. The yurt was clean and had everything you may need for your stay including dishes, cooking utensils, coffee, etc. The host was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again. By the way, the view is amazing!

Amazing weekend stay! Erin greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The heater kept us nice and warm. I would definitely stay here again.

The check-in experience was not welcoming. There was no signal, and the entire area was in darkness. I had texted beforehand, hoping there would at least be a light to guide us, but that wasn’t the case. We arrived around 6:30 PM after a long drive, hoping for a hot bath, only to find that the bath wasn’t installed, there was no water connection, and the restroom was poorly lit and unclean. The yurt itself was beautiful and inviting at first glance, but the lack of proper lighting was a significant issue, especially with the property being full of coyotes. Going to the restroom was a nightmare, mit was not only pitch dark but also freezing cold! On top of that, the toilet water didn’t work properly.

Fun glamping experience close to Joshua Tree NP. Yurt was very comfortable with electric heater that kept it toasty warm. Outdoor shower was nice and hot. Toilet was... interesting... Pump set up took some getting used to but we got the hang of it eventually and everything was nice and clean. It was really windy the days we were there so we didn't have a fire or BBQ but the set up is quite nice for that.

A gem of a place. Quiet and magical. The yurt was spotlessly clean and the bed super comfortable. Erin was attentive and lovely to deal with. The stargazing was wonderful and the sunrise in the morning was something to behold. Take plenty of wood for the fire pit (we went through three lots!) and food for breakfast as well as dinner. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend! We had a fantastic time at this yurt. The beds and bedding were more comfortable than your average hotel room. The place is stocked with all the essentials. The yurt itself it’s amazing, and perfect size for 4 people. The shower was great too. Erin gave great instructions and greeted us before we left. All in all I would stay there again!

Magical is the only accurate way to describe this yurt, especially at night. An oasis under a billion stars. We arrived late at night and opened the yurt door to an absolutely fabulous space. We have been blessed to travel to many wonderful places in the world and stayed at some of the worlds best hotels. I repeatedly asked my adult daughter if any of her other rooms were any better than the one she was currently in and she stated no. I asked not even the Broadmoor, the Balmoral, Ashford Castle, our fabulous hotel on the beach in Nice? She truly believed it beats all other rooms. I like an indoor toilet but that’s just me. It was honestly a perfect stay. We stayed in Big Blue, which is filled with beautiful vintage items very artfully placed with two of the most comfortable beds ever. I was there with just my adult daughter, and when she crawled into bed, she asked if I had made the beds. I have a reputation for making great beds, so that was a very high compliment. Highly recommend

Weather was perfect this time of year. Sound does carry and walls are thin but our neighbors were pretty quiet. We weren’t disturbed at all during our stay. We were located 15 minutes from places to eat shop etc. Give Big Josh’s a pass by for some really cool souvenirs and photo opps. This location was a great find and I’m so glad I did! The bed was yummy, we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the area has a quiet, stark beauty. After a hike from the property and a fantastic dinner in town (at the host-recommended 29 Palms Inn), we sat around the firepit and gazed at the magnificent night sky. We slept soundly and awoke to a gorgeous sunrise before heading to Joshua Tree. Erin is an excellent communicator and runs a top-notch business. Don’t miss out on your chance to stay in a yurt! The outdoor shower and toilet add to the charm. Don’t overthink it and enjoy!

Our stay in the Joshua Tree desert yurt was absolutely unforgettable. My husband, son, and I were welcomed by Erin, who was an incredible host—warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The yurt itself was thoughtfully equipped, giving us the perfect balance of comfort and the rustic charm of camping. At night, the sky lit up with more stars than I’ve ever seen in my life—it was truly magical. If you’ve never stayed in a yurt before, I can’t recommend this experience enough. It’s the kind of adventure everyone should do at least once, and Joshua Tree is the perfect place to do it.

The check-in experience was not welcoming. There was no signal, and the entire area was in darkness. I had texted beforehand, hoping there would at least be a light to guide us, but that wasn’t the case. We arrived around 6:30 PM after a long drive, hoping for a hot bath, only to find that the bath wasn’t installed, there was no water connection, and the restroom was poorly lit and unclean. The yurt itself was beautiful and inviting at first glance, but the lack of proper lighting was a significant issue, especially with the property being full of coyotes. Going to the restroom was a nightmare, mit was not only pitch dark but also freezing cold! On top of that, the toilet water didn’t work properly.

Host Erin was very friendly and checked on us periodically throughout our stay to ensure we had our needs met. She showed us how to use the marine toilet and gave us suggestions for things to do in the surrounding area. Everything was very clean and comfortable and we tried our best to leave it in the same pristine condition. Many amenities were provided including coffee and a water filter, electricity, solar lights, towels, washcloths, etc. Almost everything you could think of was available and we enjoyed the fire pit, gas bbq for cooking, and my son said that sleeping in the bean bag bed was like “laying in a cloud”. We got up early to watch the sunrise and left the campsite feeling refreshed, relaxed, and happy. Thanks Erin for a wonderful experience and we hope to come back and visit you again soon!

Definitely a great experience. We loved how quiet the property was and the stars were so pretty at night. We took paper plates and silverware. My only recommendation is to bring in your own drinking water. I’d also bring a small thing of dish soap and sponge. We cooked more than once and needed to clean the dishes. The property has a wonderful host and she will meet your needs whenever possible. She showed us around our site and also the inside workings of our Yurt. Definitely, enjoyed having AC in the hot desert. It makes your stay so much more comfortable! This place is only about 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National park. Great location!

We had an amazing time staying in one of the Mongolian yurts at the 28 Palms Ranch. We booked our stay last minute and can't believe we found such a good deal with this awesome setup in such a great location. Everything we could have possibly needed was available in the yurt and our host, Erin, was communicative with instructions for checking in and always available for help if we needed it. I'll surely recommend glamping at 28 Palms Ranch to friends and family!

This is a very different experience than staying in a hotel. Erin has eight Yurts she imported from Mongolia. There is no TV and you should expect to be fairly quiet. It’s west of 29 Palms and about 20 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. This is in a desert so expect it to be hot but there is air conditioning. The shower is outside. We enjoyed eating dinner on the picnic table followed by sitting outside and watching the stars as the night deepened. Much more fun than a hotel.

Wonderful friend group get-away for the weekend. The yurt was clean and had everything you may need for your stay including dishes, cooking utensils, coffee, etc. The host was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again. By the way, the view is amazing!

Erin was kind and so the rest of the staff we met. Thank you Erin. Yurt was clean and beautiful and Fully stocked. And LOVED THAT WE DID NOT HAVE TO WASH DISHES ON VACATION. One small but important thing that I wish I knew. Apparently we were the first for the season to run into a rattlesnake. Meaning , they are common but we had no idea and we had a baby with us. We found it under the pallet in front of our door. Just be aware they are on the property.

A one of a kind experience! A beautiful Yurt, experiencing a shower under the stars, a BBQ grill and fire pit made this a wonderful stop on our National Parks trip. It was a great place to start gaze and see kangaroo rats (my daughter was hopeful to see one on our trip and she counted many). A one of a kind experience! A beautiful Yurt, experiencing a shower under the stars, a BBQ grill and fire pit made this a wonderful stop on our National Parks trip. It was a great place to start gaze and see kangaroo rats (my daughter was hopeful to see one on our trip and she counted many). The owner met us at the entrance and made sure we knew how to use everything on our spot. I HIGHLY recommend this location! Definitely saving it as a potential stop again.

This was my first Yurt stay and it was perfect! The BEST way to experience Joshua Tree. Skip the local traditional hotel/motel options and give this a try. Thank me later. :)
