Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Columbus Canal Winchester

Not a fan of the location but the facilities are ok. Pool is tiny. Service was good and breakfast was included. Overall not bad but a bit overpriced in my opinion for the location.

Easy parking, friendly front desk and cleaning staff. Very clean room and the sheets were nice and soft. Only sad thing was the coffee pot for breakfast ran out frequently, both mornings that l was there.

Seemed like a brand new hotel, the staff was great, the room was clean, the breakfast area was spotless and the entire place was very nice. The only odd piece was the pool that is both small and shallow - almost a soaking pool. Also, and I am thinking this is a mid-west thing, there are no spas, which is always a nice touch. Great location and will use again!

*** BE AWARE WHERE YOU PARK” Someone stole my catalysts converter on hotel parking lot! Hotel management show video to police but not a word to me, only the desk lady that was really nice and gave me the county police office number… other than that room stay was pleasant it’s a pretty new hotel.

Very clean and nice room

The staff was very polite, room was immaculate and quiet! The bed was comfy and breakfast was very good!

We had a short 2 night stay. The hotel was clean, well maintained with a nice breakfast spread in the morning. On line virtual check in never produces a key for us, but the front desk staff was happy to provide us with 2 key cards.

I liked the property overall. The only issue I had was with the cleanliness of the room. The carpet had a mildew smell and when requested we still didnt receive housekeeping services. When we went to the desk they didnt have enough towels to give us.

Our recent stay at this hotel was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful and it was clean and comfortable.

Room was spotless, warm and roomy. Breakfast was pretty good; ran out of coffee the second morning there, and it was within the first hour of breakfast opening. The waffle batter container broke, and started pouring out, for an elderly couple, and the 3 staff members at the front desk took their sweet time coming over (while the woman was having to keep trading out the cups so the batter didnt go everywhere)…then upon my chevkout, NO ONE WAS AROUND TO CHEVK OUT…2-3 ppl were ahead of me, wsiting to do the same…l kept calling to the back employee area, and eventually a cleaning lady came out and said she’d find her…it took several more minutes for the front desk person to return (she commented that she was helping the lady with the breakast area)…? When pol have an Uber waiting and planes to catch, it frustrating to not be able to check out quickly. Also, when l chevked in, l discovered my large sliding window wasnt latched/locked up, which unnerved me a little. Btw-when l checked in, no complimentary water was offered to me…is that no longer a thing offered to marriott members?

Very nice hotel rooms. Just have a complaint that there wasn’t a full length mirror in the room, that’s inconvenient. Other than that it was a nice room.

The rooms were fine, but the TV was broken. when asked if we could have a discount on our bill we were told NO. 3 nights and no TV Hard to relax at the end of the day. So no, we don't feel we got our money's worth.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel during a volleyball weekend for our daughter. Staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean, but otherwise it was a major disappointment. The bathroom lighting was very dark, the toilet paper roll stuck in the holder repeatedly rather than rolling smoothly, and the water pressure in the shower was horrible!! There also weren’t many hooks on the wall or in the shower for hanging towels and washcloths. There were limited choices for breakfast and, of those choices, the omelets were the consistency (and taste?) of rubber and the blueberry muffins were dried out and crumbled as we tried to butter them. There were no waffles or pancakes. I am someone who can eat just about anything, so the fact that we drove next door to McDonald’s for breakfast on our second day says a lot. We will not stay here again.

Breakfast selections are poor. Pre-packaged, microwaved selections that were just warm. Sausage biscuits were poor. For the rates charged, fresh breakfast should be made. Others do it. Shower was too high for shorter people. Water pressure was way too light. Bathroom mirror too high and too far away for women to put on make-up. No full length mirror in room

Claen room, walls are thin and can hear others TV late at night. Overall good stay, would stay again visiting the area.

My bed was very hard and low to the floor. Only 1 lamp worked in my room. Bathroom door didnt lock or shut completely. A lamp was un plugged and would plug back in th wall. Only 1 outlet worked in the room.

Good location, quiet to get a good night's rest. Unfortunately we had a rock hard bed which I could not sleep on and didn't sleep as I was awake at 230am and couldn't sleep with the back pain i had from the bed. I always chose a Marriott brand when possible, but I stayed in Rm 121 and it was terrible to get rest in.

We made a reservation and paid ahead on line through Expedia. When we went to check in, the clerk told us the payment had not cleared yet, that we needed to pay again and get a refund in the morning. We showed him that the payment cleared on our credit card as paid. He insisted we still owed money. When we started to call Marriott, he said “oh it just cleared”. We believe he was trying to get extra money out of us. This is unacceptable!

Our first night, there weren’t a lot of people. However, someone who was staying there ended up staying in the room next to us. I was up until 3:30am because that room was playing music so loud I could feel it in the headboard. Talking, swearing so loudly. My husband did go down to talk to the front desk and they said they would go listen and call them if it didn’t stop. We had our children sleeping with us, so moving at 3am wasn’t an option. When the music finally stopped, they were just talking very loudly and it was practically like they were in the room with us. [I did get a response from the hotel after our stay, and they just said “someone went up there and didn’t hear anything and we didn’t complain again] So basically you need to complain multiple times, because everyone loves having to walk down to the front desk in the middle of the night:/ Also, we left. suitcase in the closet at the hotel and didn’t realize until night. We called the hotel and they said “oh yeah we have it here” I’m just surprised that when it was brought to the front desk no one would have called us and said “hey you left your suitcase here” my name, phone number and email was all on the outside of the suitcase. [we did get a response to this, that since things are often left there, they do not call anyone] which ok I understand, but I think it goes to the customer service aspect of “hey there’s a number right here, let’s maybe be kind and give them a call if we aren’t busy”

Went to check in! It was at 2 as we had a function to be at and came in from out of town! Waited at desk as no one there. Waited ten minutes person came out was not dressed for a front desk .no room available Was told to come back at 2:45 pm! We did come back told to come back at 3. No room was available yet! Waited til 3 returned to desk new person there and other lady said this was our third time back. I think her name was Monica said she would compensate us as no room where still open as housekeeping had not released any king size rooms, finally 3:15 they got us a room was a handicap room! No compensation was ever given as was told pillows where aweful bed was very uncomfortable was on a board no box springs. For what we paid was not really worth it!

Front Desk was fabulous. We had an issue with door key deactivating several times and the inability to charge phones in the room. She took care of the issues. She otoviddd excellent customer service and had an awesome smoke.
