This cottage was perfect for a relaxing time in Ocean Springs. It was beautifully appointed with local art, custom woodwork and charming hosts. They thought of everything you might need while staying here, including the delicious muffins that were provided on the first day. It was close to museums, shopping and restaurants. The view was wonderful and we enjoyed the pier. We will definitely stay again when visiting Ocean Springs!

This was the cutest most comfortable cottage we have ever rented. It is equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable stay and the grounds were so tranquil and serene that you can’t help but feel calm and relaxed. It’s only a short walk to the pier on the bay where we saw porpoises on our first day and beautiful sunsets. While sipping our coffee on the porch we saw squirrels, cardinals, bluejays, a woodpecker and oddly enough a box turtle. It’s only a short drive to East Beach or downtown Ocean Springs. The bed was super comfy and everything was in working order. Can’t wait for a return visit.

The cottage is lovely, set amidst oak trees with a beautiful water view. Homebaked muffins, along with other goodies, greated us upon arrival. We sat on the pier and watched the sunset. Owners were friendly and informative as to options around town. This will be our go to rental for our future stays.

This cottage was about a mile from Downtown Ocean Springs but felt a world away. It is nestled in a quiet setting with access to a pier on the Biloxi Bay, which was a great place to watch sunsets. The cottage is pristine and has all of the comforts of home. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return for another visit soon.

What a beautiful hidden gem! This cozy cottage is so close to downtown yet seems so far away. With great views of the water. We enjoyed walks along the path through the live oak trees down to the pier. You can see beautiful sunsets and at night an amazing view of the city light across the sound.We will definitely be back!

Donald and Leigh Ann are attentive to every detail. The kitchen is well-stocked, the living area is so wonderful, bedroom is extremely comfortable. My wife and I had a lovely four-day stay at the Shearwood Cottage overlooking Biloxi Bay in Ocean Springs. This cottage was cozy, comfortable, quiet, and very clean. We were impressed by the attention to detail that went into the construction and maintenance of this cottage, like small stained glass windows in walls and original paintings and other art work. The owners were easy to work with and even stopped by upon our arrival to see if we had any questions. We will definitely try to return the next time we visit Ocean Springs.

The location on Biloxi Bay near the Gulf made it like a homecoming for us former Tampa residents. Bird watching is excellent. Cottage was clean and comfortable and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The best parts was the convenient location and the spectacular views of the water. Surroundings were quiet and peaceful and we left refreshed and rejuvenated.

I can't imagine there being a better place to stay in Ocean Springs. The cottage is adorable, well appointed, close to the water, set in the woods among oak trees that are hundreds of years old. The property has been in the owners' family for 100 years. The owners live next door, and are the perfect hosts: always available if you need them, helpful and informative, but not at all intrusive. Friendly as can be - you'll want to stay connected with them after you leave. I'll never stay anywhere else if I have reason to go to Ocean Springs again.

If you are looking for a true Mississippi experience with the bells and whistles, look no more! The family history, artwork, front porch, and lastly the beautiful design of the cottage…I could have stayed here forever! The owner Donald was wonderful! Not only did they leave fresh baked banana nut muffins in the cottage for us, Donald communicated with us and made sure our stay was perfect! The decor was astounding and I can’t say enough about the bed! I haven’t slept that well in a very long time! Having coffee on the front porch under the magnolia tree looking at out the water, and watching the blue birds and cardinals play was priceless! Thank you again Donald! See you soon in Mississippi!

I can't imagine there being a better place to stay in Ocean Springs. The cottage is adorable, well appointed, close to the water, set in the woods among oak trees that are hundreds of years old. The property has been in the owners' family for 100 years. The owners live next door, and are the perfect hosts: always available if you need them, helpful and informative, but not at all intrusive. Friendly as can be - you'll want to stay connected with them after you leave. I'll never stay anywhere else if I have reason to go to Ocean Springs again.

This was by far the best experience we've ever had booking through VRBO. The property exceeds any pictures or descriptions listed, and the owner is the standard for which all rental owners should aspire to be. Could not recommend this place enough!

The cottage is lovely, set amidst oak trees with a beautiful water view. Homebaked muffins, along with other goodies, greated us upon arrival. We sat on the pier and watched the sunset. Owners were friendly and informative as to options around town. This will be our go to rental for our future stays.

If you are looking for a true Mississippi experience with the bells and whistles, look no more! The family history, artwork, front porch, and lastly the beautiful design of the cottage…I could have stayed here forever! The owner Donald was wonderful! Not only did they leave fresh baked banana nut muffins in the cottage for us, Donald communicated with us and made sure our stay was perfect! The decor was astounding and I can’t say enough about the bed! I haven’t slept that well in a very long time! Having coffee on the front porch under the magnolia tree looking at out the water, and watching the blue birds and cardinals play was priceless! Thank you again Donald! See you soon in Mississippi!

Our "Historic Biloxi Bay Cottage" could not have been more perfect! The property was lovely. Several times during our stay, we enjoyed relaxing on the private pier. The cottage is immaculate. Donald and Leigh Ann are attentive to every detail. The kitchen is well-stocked, the living area is so wonderful, bedroom is extremely comfortable. What a perfectly situated and quaint property this was. It felt like home. To wake up every morning with the view of the water and just the property itself was well worth it. It’s very close to government Street but yet far enough a way to have some isolation from the traffic. I would highly recommend this property.

This was the cutest most comfortable cottage we have ever rented. It is equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable stay and the grounds were so tranquil and serene that you can’t help but feel calm and relaxed. It’s only a short walk to the pier on the bay where we saw porpoises on our first day and beautiful sunsets. While sipping our coffee on the porch we saw squirrels, cardinals, bluejays, a woodpecker and oddly enough a box turtle. It’s only a short drive to East Beach or downtown Ocean Springs. The bed was super comfy and everything was in working order. Can’t wait for a return visit.

This cottage was about a mile from Downtown Ocean Springs but felt a world away. It is nestled in a quiet setting with access to a pier on the Biloxi Bay, which was a great place to watch sunsets. What a beautiful hidden gem! This cozy cottage is so close to downtown yet seems so far away. With great views of the water. We enjoyed walks along the path through the live oak trees down to the pier. You can see beautiful sunsets and at night an amazing view of the city light across the sound.We will definitely be back!

They thought of everything you might need while staying here, including the delicious muffins that were provided on the first day. It was close to museums, shopping and restaurants. We’ve stayed in many, many VRBOs, both domestic and international, and this adorable, quiet, little cottage ranks at the top! It’s set in a beautiful location and it’s even better in person than the pictures. Every little detail was thought of and provided. Homemade muffins, fire pit ready for a match, coffee, interesting books, and all the kitchen conveniences needed for a wonderful stay! The patio and front porch were favorite spots for us, as well as the comfy living room area. Don and Leigh Ann were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and hospitable in every way! We will definitely be back!
