Ad Akua Suites Ocean View, i viaggiatori sottolineano le ampie viste sull'oceano e sul tramonto, le piscine private e una posizione tranquilla e isolata, insieme a un servizio cordiale e reattivo e suite generalmente molto pulite e confortevoli che combinano la vita interna ed esterna con una memorabile osservazione della fauna selvatica.
La posizione collinare è appartata ma facilmente raggiungibile in auto a Tárcoles, al Parco Nazionale Carara, alle spiagge e a Jaco, anche se si consiglia un'auto, idealmente un 4x4, a causa del vialetto ripido e a volte impegnativo. I principali aspetti negativi includono occasionali formiche o altri insetti, problemi sporadici con l'acqua calda o il drenaggio, ristoranti nelle vicinanze limitati senza auto e un po' di rumore del traffico o proveniente dai patii adiacenti. Aspettatevi un soggiorno tranquillo, incentrato sulla vista, con autonomia e splendide piscine private.

Nice view, private dipping pool, good location for bird watching guides in Tarcoles. But if your neighbors are outside, you can hear them very well even if you can’t see them. And the driveway is very steep, wouldn’t want to try it in rainy season even with 4wd. Usable kitchen for actual cooking, but no place to hang anything, and yet very cute accents. Putting pegs into some of the ample empty wall space would improve utility greatly. Would stay again if looking to go birding with a local guide again, but rather pricey choice.

This was a beautiful property! The plunge pool was delightful in the evening we would relax in it and watch the Macaws fly by. You could hear the howler monkeys in the forest; you are on the side of a mountain. The road into the community is gated and the location is very close to Torculas.

We just left and already want to return. The plunge pool was amazing. The wildlife- iguanas-toucan-squirrels all made it feel magical. The room was cool- clean and spacious.

This was a beautiful room and set up. Our room had a large bathroom/shower, the bedroom/kitchen set up were open like a studio. The back patio and pool area were amazing. The only thing that was negative was that instead of going to explore beautiful Costa Rica I didn't want to leave my room! It is in a gated community, the suites have their own little parking lot. The one thing I was unsure of when I booked was if the pool was private and I mean it kinda is but other guests can definitely see you, it is like a duplex set up so if someone chose to be loud while they were outside you would hear them, we never experienced that though. Would love to stay here again someday!

Our suite was amazing. We knew we found a gem as soon as we opened the door. The wall of the ocean side of our suite was entirely a glass wall with massive sliding doors which could open the room up to the patio and private pool (which is maybe about 80 degrees F and very well maintained). The view of the ocean and mountains is surreal. You’re more than likely guaranteed a sunset view, and the sun seems to set for a solid three hours. You can see it from every part of the suite. Even the shower. The horizon is so broad that even rain is fascinating to watch come in. The staff is fantastic too. They cleaned our room and even took care of the dishes, all the while being non invasive and respecting our privacy and belongings. Steven and Lisa’s is a 5 minute drive, there’s a few super minis and liquor stores 3 minutes away.

We had a lovely stay in this peaceful suite - spacious, clean, and comfortable. The private dip pool and stunning view made for a magical evening of stargazing and total relaxation. It felt like a little hideaway. The only small downsides were a faint musty smell when we first entered (a dehumidifier might help) and the lack of bedside lamps, which would’ve added to the cozy vibe. Still, overall a great experience!

There are not enough stars to give this property! Beautiful villas, breathtaking view, animals just out our door! We stayed 7 nights in Suite 1, toucans, macaws, kookaburras, iguanas, hummingbirds and a Pizote all viewed from our pool deck. Wonderful indoor shower that could be open to outside, also had an outside shower, private pool with lounge chairs. Very clean, grounds well maintained. Would stay here again happily, honestly it was the best part of our trip!

The views of the ocean from our pool were stunning! We loved spending time in the pool looking at the ocean and the stars. The space was very clean. We did have a few bugs join us in the main living space. The staff on site cleaned each day and provided us with fresh towels. They were very responsive when we were having WiFi issues, and it was resolved quickly. We loved the quick access to the beach, many restaurants, and national park. We enjoyed our stay!

We loved our stay at Akua Ocean View Suites. The room was very clean and felt very luxurious. We had our very own plunge pool which always felt peaceful and was wonderful to relax in after a long day. The kitchenette was perfect and had everything we needed.

beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay. However there were ants in the room, bed and around the property that also bite. it was uncomfortable and i left with bug bites. The host was very attentive, responsive and helpful with a problem I had.

While the accommodations appeared nice on the surface and the ocean views were beautiful, there were issues that caused us to depart early and find other accommodations. There was no hot water in either the kitchen or bathroom sinks. The shower did not drain properly. Lastly, the rooms were infested with ants when the evening hit. There were so many that I couldn’t sleep.

We stayed here as a break to cut down on a really long drive back to the airport. The unit was extremely clean, beds were comfortable and the pool area ready and waiting with fresh towels for a dip. Located close enough to the beaches and restaurants but out of the way from the hustle of b the tourist area. We would stay here again for sure.

Our stay at Akua Suites was the highlight of our trip. The view was sensational, the kitchen was well-stocked, the bathroom and shower were excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to come back.

This place is absolute perfection. Exquisite attention to detail, unbelievably romantic and beautiful. The plants growing up around the shower were stunning, as were the ocean views. We loved every minute.

Absolutely gorgeous views!! The room was lovely, much better in person than pictures. The balcony with plunge pool was amazing as well- unobscured sunset views of the pacific from the pool! We would definitely stay here again. The room does get hot during the afternoon and the ac unit couldn’t keep up with the curtains open, but we requested fans and that made a huge difference. The water pressure was a bit wonky at times. And there’s not a closet or a place to sit luggage so we lived out of our suitcase off the floor. Otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing, it was lovely!

The view! The huge bay window with the view leading to the deck opened up to just a spectacular sight of the ocean that looks like a portrait hanging on the wall. The amenities were quaint and cozy. If you’re looking to just get away to a quiet excluded place I would highly recommend Akua!

Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids, we stayed for a week. The view from our room was absolutely stunning with beautiful sunsets over the ocean every night. Very quiet property, only sounds were birds, jungle and ocean waves. We really enjoyed having our own private pool and used it every day. The room was very comfortable, and it was nice to have our own kitchenette. We ended up cooking several of our own meals due to not having many choices of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a beautiful property. The personal pool was an absolute dream! There are plenty of places nearby to eat, but you almost certainly have to drive. I would recommend having your own transportation if you stay here - 4x4 since the hill is STEEP. Little to no bugs in the room, which is quite rare in Costa Rica. Minor issues we had: our room did not have hot water in the shower. You can hear the traffic from the main road (but this is likely unavoidable wherever you stay), and the walls were very very thin. You could hear anything above a low whisper in the room next over. Also, I don’t believe there was a rule against smoking on the porch, so we had to deal with heavy cigarette smells most times we wanted to relax outside. Overall, it was a good experience. I’m not sure I would stay here again if I came back, but I like to try new locations. The hosts were great. Would likely recommend to a friend!

We just left and already want to return. The plunge pool was amazing. The wildlife- iguanas-toucan-squirrels all made it feel magical. The room was cool- clean and spacious.

Our suite was amazing. We knew we found a gem as soon as we opened the door. The wall of the ocean side of our suite was entirely a glass wall with massive sliding doors which could open the room up to the patio and private pool (which is maybe about 80 degrees F and very well maintained). The view of the ocean and mountains is surreal. You’re more than likely guaranteed a sunset view, and the sun seems to set for a solid three hours. You can see it from every part of the suite. Even the shower. The horizon is so broad that even rain is fascinating to watch come in. The staff is fantastic too. They cleaned our room and even took care of the dishes, all the while being non invasive and respecting our privacy and belongings. Steven and Lisa’s is a 5 minute drive, there’s a few super minis and liquor stores 3 minutes away.

The host was more than accommodating throughout the booking, arrival and even allowing us late checkout time, which we needed because of a tour at the nearby Carara National Park. The room was beautiful with an amazing ocean view, clean and convenient with a kitchenette. We saw macaws fly by! Loved everything about Akua!

Our stay at Akua Suites was the highlight of our trip. The view was sensational, the kitchen was well-stocked, the bathroom and shower were excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to come back.

beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay. However there were ants in the room, bed and around the property that also bite. it was uncomfortable and i left with bug bites. The host was very attentive, responsive and helpful with a problem I had.

We will be back! It was so clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and give great recommendations. The area around the suites was perfect! Love being in a more local environment to really learn about the country. Laura was amazing and could not have helped us more. We felt so comfortable and safe. We will definitely be back!!!!

This was a beautiful property. The personal pool was an absolute dream! There are plenty of places nearby to eat, but you almost certainly have to drive. I would recommend having your own transportation if you stay here - 4x4 since the hill is STEEP. Little to no bugs in the room, which is quite rare in Costa Rica. Minor issues we had: our room did not have hot water in the shower. You can hear the traffic from the main road (but this is likely unavoidable wherever you stay), and the walls were very very thin. You could hear anything above a low whisper in the room next over. Also, I don’t believe there was a rule against smoking on the porch, so we had to deal with heavy cigarette smells most times we wanted to relax outside. Overall, it was a good experience. I’m not sure I would stay here again if I came back, but I like to try new locations. The hosts were great. Would likely recommend to a friend!

Location was perfect for us because we drove all over and it was a central spot. The property itself was in a private road/neighborhood feel. And other than the main road it was quiet and no so touristy as the other towns just 15 min away

We stayed for one night in chalet no.1 and loved it. The property is well appointed and pretty isolated with a lovely outlook over the Gulf of Nicoya. Being close to the River Tárcoles and Carara NP, there is plenty of wildlife and we saw scarlet macaws flying overhead in the evening. Laura met us at the entrance and showed us round our chalet which was clean and quite luxurious with two large beds, kitchenette, large bathroom with pleasant, natural views yet private and secluded, and a patio fully across the front and side with a clean, cooling plunge pool, loungers, tables and chairs. Other reviews have criticised lack of cleanliness, hot water and reliable wi-fi but we had no problem with any of these. Because there are only a handful of chalets here, there is no bar, café or restaurant nearby so we self-catered, though there's a variety of options in Tárcoles (a short drive away) most of which offer online ordering and delivery. The location is fairly quiet, but traffic on the main coast road can be heard during the day at varying levels of intensity. Akua Suites was the perfect final night for our Costa Rican tour. We got up early for a 2-hour birdwatching tour in Carara Park but we still had time afterwards to get a reasonably priced breakfast at the Crocodile Bridge and return to pack up before leaving the property shortly after 11am.

Because there are only a handful of chalets here, there is no bar, café or restaurant nearby so we self-catered, though there's a variety of options in Tárcoles (a short drive away) most of which offer online ordering and delivery. The location is fairly quiet, but traffic on the main coast road can be heard during the day at varying levels of intensity. Akua Suites was the perfect final night for our Costa Rican tour. We got up early for a 2-hour birdwatching tour in Carara Park but we still had time afterwards to get a reasonably priced breakfast at the Crocodile Bridge and return to pack up before leaving the property shortly after 11am.

Absolutely breathtaking view!! The suite with the side yard, is worth the extra money. You have privacy, and there was iguanas we feed fruit. Not sure if you’re supposed to, but they loved it. We will definitely go back!! If I remember correctly, if you click on Google maps from your Expedia emails it won’t take you directly there but it takes you pretty close. Then we actually had to type in the name if the place in Google maps or Waze to get us there. The driveway is pretty steep, and tricky if someone is coming in or out at the same time, so just beCareful. I did think they had room service, and wanted to do that one morning but you actually have to call the restaurants that are on the list that is given in each room and they deliver. Not a huge biggie, we did Steve’s restaurant every morning, they have a great breakfast! We tried the massage place that’s in the book in the room as well, and they were awesome with great prices!! Everything and everyone was amazing!! I was very pleased!!

We stayed here as a break to cut down on a really long drive back to the airport. The unit was extremely clean, beds were comfortable and the pool area ready and waiting with fresh towels for a dip. Located close enough to the beaches and restaurants but out of the way from the hustle of b the tourist area. We would stay here again for sure.

This was a beautiful property! The plunge pool was delightful in the evening we would relax in it and watch the Macaws fly by. You could hear the howler monkeys in the forest; you are on the side of a mountain. The road into the community is gated and the location is very close to Torculas.

I really enjoyed the room and the view from our room. Getting to the property is somewhat tricky but once you are there it off the beaten path. There are not many rooms so you dont have to worry about foot traffic or seeing people around. I would definitely stay there when I return.

This is a great place to be on your own. Amazing views from the balcony with a private pool. You need a rental car, and the town nearby is quite small, but it's a lovely place to spend some time.

Akua Oceanview Suites was a wonderful place to visit. The villa was very clean and the view is just incredible! We enjoyed our own private dipping pool and we even saw a monkey in the trees below the villa. The only bad thing is the traffic noise from the street below when you are outside enjoying the pool and views. But once you close the sliding glass doors, it is very quiet. There are excellent restaurants close by and Jaco is just a short drive away. We enjoyed every minute and cannot wait to return.

This is really a Hidden Gem that if you do not mind being away from it all but only a few minutes from a beach and several really nice restaurant options. You just cannot be the expenses well thought out accommodations and Cliffside pool that is a perfect place to see an incredible sunset. We saw scarlet macaws flying by.

Nice view, private dipping pool, good location for bird watching guides in Tarcoles. But if your neighbors are outside, you can hear them very well even if you can’t see them. And the driveway is very steep, wouldn’t want to try it in rainy season even with 4wd. Usable kitchen for actual cooking, but no place to hang anything, and yet very cute accents. Putting pegs into some of the ample empty wall space would improve utility greatly. Would stay again if looking to go birding with a local guide again, but rather pricey choice.

Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids, we stayed for a week. The view from our room was absolutely stunning with beautiful sunsets over the ocean every night. Very quiet property, only sounds were birds, jungle and ocean waves. We really enjoyed having our own private pool and used it every day. The room was very comfortable, and it was nice to have our own kitchenette. We ended up cooking several of our own meals due to not having many choices of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful views, but food close by is an issue without a car or guaranteed transportation. Host is very helpful once you can get in touch. Internet doesn't work well, and the last two nights there was no internet at all, which made it difficult to find transport or do anything at all without phone service. No music no TV, no internet, completely cut off. Hot water was an issue until given directions on how the handle should be placed, and there was a sewage smell that was backed up into the room for a few hours every so often! Besides that...great getaway of you want to be isolated.

Not a huge biggie, we did Steve’s restaurant every morning, they have a great breakfast! We tried the massage place that’s in the book in the room as well, and they were awesome with great prices!! Everything and everyone was amazing!! I was very pleased!!
Absolutely breathtaking view!! The suite with the side yard, is worth the extra money. You have privacy, and there was iguanas we feed fruit. Not sure if you’re supposed to, but they loved it. We will definitely go back!! If I remember correctly, if you click on Google maps from your Expedia emails it won’t take you directly there but it takes you pretty close. Then we actually had to type in the name if the place in Google maps or Waze to get us there. The driveway is pretty steep, and tricky if someone is coming in or out at the same time, so just beCareful. I did think they had room service, and wanted to do that one morning but you actually have to call the restaurants that are on the list that is given in each room and they deliver. We stayed here as a break to cut down on a really long drive back to the airport. The unit was extremely clean, beds were comfortable and the pool area ready and waiting with fresh towels for a dip. Located close enough to the beaches and restaurants but out of the way from the hustle of b the tourist area. We would stay here again for sure.

Akua Oceanview Suites was a wonderful place to visit. The villa was very clean and the view is just incredible! We enjoyed our own private dipping pool and we even saw a monkey in the trees below the villa. The only bad thing is the traffic noise from the street below when you are outside enjoying the pool and views. But once you close the sliding glass doors, it is very quiet. There are excellent restaurants close by and Jaco is just a short drive away. We enjoyed every minute and cannot wait to return.

Altså udenoms område var fantastisk. Udsigten var episk og så utrolig dejligt med sin egen pool. Indenfor kunne godt trænge til en opfriskning og mere køkken udstyr og varmt vand i køkkenet. Sengen kunne også god udskiftes er blevet blød gennem tiden. Men vi nød hver minut vi var i lejligheden.

Our stay at this beautiful house in Costa Rica was absolutely amazing! The property was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The views were breathtaking, and waking up to the sounds of nature each morning made the experience even more special. The location was perfect—close enough to local attractions, beaches, and restaurants while still feeling private and peaceful. The house was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with thoughtful amenities that made us feel right at home.
