The customer service was wonderful. The room was absolutely gorgeous and very large with a full kitchenette. Right on the bay marina. There was a food truck that served amazing tacos and other fare. Patrick and his wife Roz that run the food truck and tiki bar were awesome! Had a blast with my girlfriends. Your close enough to lots vineyards and restaurants, you can use their bikes to ride all over and they offer a free temporary beach pass to go to other Southold beaches. Definitely plan to come back again soon.

Ahhh what a chill spot! Everything is brand new, classic and beautiful. Complimentary bikes, breakfast and outdoor showers! The view of the water, the fire pit, the hammock set the stage for a relaxing getaway! We will be back!

Beautiful hotel! Our room was new and modern, we enjoyed the private patio! The Beer Garden,bar and food truck were an unexpected great part of our stay! The hosts Patrick and his wife were just terrific. Cynthia the manager could not have been more accommodating! We will definitely return!

The shoals property was interesting.. we almost drove past it because I thought it was a marina… which is actually on the property of the hotel. Very nice outdoor space to sit and relax and watch the boats come and go. Corn hole and other games on the lawn and a cute food truck and outdoor bar. Live Music on Friday night ( we weren’t there on Saturday so I don’t know if they have live music then too). The room was spotless and very quiet, little kitchenette with oven, stovetop, mini fridge and coffee maker was great… just wished there was a microwave too that would have been helpful. Breakfast was your typical continental ( muffins, croissants, 3 different cereals, yogurt and granola, instant oatmeal,coffee, tea and juices. Just fine for us, all in all a very nice stay.. very close to many wineries and farm markets.

This property is newly built. Modern rooms comfy beds, located by the water/marina, there’s a food truck with a cocktail bar, outdoor seating and games. They serve a continental breakfast which is great! Staff is very nice.

The facility was superb. The location was perfect overlooking the marina. The rooms were so well designed. I'll recommend this to anyone visiting the North Fork Only thing missing..a pool :)

The property is beautiful- was nice to relax in the Adirondack chairs near the marina in the evenings. We stayed in the Grand Suite and everything was spotless and comfortable. As others have said, it is a bit easy to hear your neighbors through the walls at night, but nothing earplugs can’t fix if you’re a light sleeper. The staff were incredible, attentive, and looked after us well. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever had in an accommodation. Would definitely return.

Glad we discovered this place on off season. Note to management: oil the incredibly squeaky doors in your preimum suite, and install room darkening drapes in the main room area. The bedroom ventilation is not great.

This is my favorite hotel. I stayed last year for the first time and fell in love with it. stayed in the suite both times. It's the comforts of home, which is so nice. To have the living room, outdoor private patio, two bedrooms so you're not sleeping in a bed next to the other guests you're with is soooo nice. The rooms are clean, bedding is so comfortable, grounds are beautiful. Couldn't recommend it more highly and will definitely be back.

I was so pleasantly surprised! The furniture all seemed new, our room was spotless and we had a brand new kitchen and bath! There were chairs and a small patio to sit outside and we were right in a Marina. Very convenient to drive to Greenport and Orient Point. Southold is a very cute town and Greenport was even better. It’s right in the center of the North Fork wine Trail with a dozen beautiful wineries to visit.. perfect location!

Stylish, clean, spacious hotel! Has Kitchenette, dining area and sofa! It was a perfect place to stay after visiting the area. You would need a car to go to places but there are 2 restaurants next to the hotel within walking distance. Breakfast wasn’t impressive, though. I didn’t expect bready croissant at such a lovely hotel. Also, Wifi was weak. Cell reception in the area was generally weak. Receptionist was very kind. Overall, very happy with our stay!

The room was pretty and the bed was very comfortable. The TV is small and only in the bedroom, not in the living room/kitchen area. There’s no bay view, window overlooks the parking lot, roof top and a peak of water beyond it and we were in the best location to see water. Motel is in the parking lot of a Marina. It was fine for our needs but I wouldn’t stay there for the atmosphere. The breakfast is not breakfast; coffee, limited pastries and oatmeal. The staff was super nice but overall, too expensive for the accommodations.

The description said bay view however the room has no view only small window that had a yard view even when asked for upgrade it was the same thing. No access to beach as it says 67 steps to the beach. No access to restaurants only a food truck. Breakfast was very poor quality. I wouldn’t come again.

The Shoals is really such a cute place. The rooms are spacious and very clean. My sisters and I stayed here for the second time in November. Last time I stayed during the week and it was very quiet. However this time we had someone staying next to us and you can hear the TV like it’s in your room as it is up against your bed wall and just someone walking was loud. Thankfully they didn’t keep the TV on all night. When you arrive at the Shoals there is someone at the front desk but they leave by 8pm. Breakfast is included and it is a continental style with coffee muffins yogurt etc. The breakfast room has a beautiful view for sure. I am very surprised how thin the walls were it may make think about staying on a weekend or busy summer night for sure. Also there is not that much interaction with anyone who works there. Some primary like more staff assistance if that is your thing. The location is great as it is right near wineries, restaurants and other great things to do depending on the weather.

Staff was very helpful. We arrived late and had no problems getting into our room. The breakfast was awesome- lots of options and they even kept it open a little longer to accommodate our schedule. Great stay!

We loved our stay at The Shoals! We arrived hours before check in without notice. Our room was ready so they allowed us to check in and they even gave us a free upgrade. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spotless and the beds were amazing. I havent enjoyed a hotel saty this much in i dont know how long. I will definitely be going back.

Upgraded to better room coz of vip status, really appreciated being on the top floor away from other hotel guest. The furnishing and vibe is very relaxing and classy, would definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly and accommodating to our late check out. Perfect stay for New Year’s Eve.
Upgraded to better room coz of vip status, really appreciated being on the top floor away from other hotel guest. The furnishing and vibe is very relaxing and classy, would definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly and accommodating to our late check out. Perfect stay for New Year’s Eve.

The scenery and being so close to all the wineries was amazing. However, I had quite a few issues. When I cooked, the fire alarm went off because there was no fan. The manager asked why we were trying to make it stop when there was no threat or safety issue, startled my boyfriend so much he fell, and then disappeared. The police came a few minutes after, and I explained everything to them. A few minutes later came the fire chief. The police and fire chief agreed that there should be a fan, and it was not my fault. I there for 5 days, and when I asked the maid to come back after 2:00 p.m. when we would be gone, her boss told her not to do it because we stopped in to take a quick pee...it took less than two minutes, but therefore our room should not get cleaned? I'm thankful that my boyfriend speaks Spanish, so he could ask the maid about it. She said that boss in particular was just a very mean person. It is a beautiful property, close to to all the best the North fork has to offer, and the breakfast is wonderful... However, the undisclosed fees and the disrespect by one of the managers will prevent me from ever staying there again. Oh, and the maid service knocked once and then just came in without an invite or okay on our first day...that really freaked my boyfriend out. What if we were naked in the shower? So, great place, just issues with employees and hdiden fees.

I got 2 reservations and got a key for both of them, gave them my CC etc. not comfortable when 2 days later in the morning a manager with front desk employee were knocking on my door yelling “open the door, open the door!” with excuses I didn’t check in again, nobody told me I have to. I wasn’t dressed up I wasn’t expecting anyone I did nothing wrong. Kinda crazy treatment of their customers who reserved a room for over then week. Very unprofessional, they should call me first and if they don’t have my cell they should write a letter and leave it behind the door. Looks like no customers skills here.

Stylish, clean, spacious hotel! Has Kitchenette, dining area and sofa! It was a perfect place to stay after visiting the area. You would need a car to go to places but there are 2 restaurants next to the hotel within walking distance. Breakfast wasn’t impressive, though. I didn’t expect bready croissant at such a lovely hotel. Also, Wifi was weak. Cell reception in the area was generally weak. Receptionist was very kind. Overall, very happy with our stay!

The room was pretty and the bed was very comfortable. The TV is small and only in the bedroom, not in the living room/kitchen area. There’s no bay view, window overlooks the parking lot, roof top and a peak of water beyond it and we were in the best location to see water. Motel is in the parking lot of a Marina. It was fine for our needs but I wouldn’t stay there for the atmosphere. The breakfast is not breakfast; coffee, limited pastries and oatmeal. The staff was super nice but overall, too expensive for the accommodations.

I was so pleasantly surprised! The furniture all seemed new, our room was spotless and we had a brand new kitchen and bath! There were chairs and a small patio to sit outside and we were right in a Marina. Very convenient to drive to Greenport and Orient Point. Southold is a very cute town and Greenport was even better. It’s right in the center of the North Fork wine Trail with a dozen beautiful wineries to visit.. perfect location!

Beautiful hotel! Our room was new and modern, we enjoyed the private patio! The Beer Garden,bar and food truck were an unexpected great part of our stay! The hosts Patrick and his wife were just terrific. Cynthia the manager could not have been more accommodating! We will definitely return!

Staff was very helpful. We arrived late and had no problems getting into our room. The breakfast was awesome- lots of options and they even kept it open a little longer to accommodate our schedule. Great stay!

The suite was large, nicely appointed, and appeared newly renovated. There was a Lavazza coffeemaker, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was not much to speak of, but the pastries were very fresh, the view from the breakfast room was beautiful, and the couches/chairs were cozy.

It was great - although the communication was confusing because we got an email saying there would be no breakfast but there was. Also we ended to request cookware but the staff couldn’t open the house keeping area to get it.

We stayed at the Shoals Suites & Slips just one night but we were extremely impressed and would highly recommend it. The rooms were so comfortable and offered full kitchen amenities. Beds were comfortable and the bedding itself was really nice and bathrooms updated as well as provided nice lotion and shampoo/body wash etc. Melissa at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating and we just had a really nice stay. The adirondack chairs overlooking the marina were perfect and beverages and snacks were available for purchase. I would definitely stay there again if travels take me to the area.

Good location, easy trip from Orient Point ferry. Nice property and staff was very good, helpful with recommendations on local places. Beach passes provided. A bit pricey, but comes with the territory and there aren't many places that offer 2 bedroom suites. Bedrooms are on the small side, but comfortable. Overall an enjoyable two night stay.
