This property exceeded my expectations. When I checked in I felt like I had been transported to Bali which is one of my favorite vacay locations. The Ocean view room was one of the best room views I have ever had. Food at the hotel was amazing. And this property was definitely walkable. Up the street you can walk to the hotel beach club, Ohanas, and Skully. The property is so beautiful I did not want to leave. The infinity pool over looks the beautiful ocean and watch the waves crash daily while relaxing on their pool deck hammocks was top tier. The staff and all amenities were amazing. I partook in spa treatments to include relaxing in their sauna. Now this sauna is amazing as it has a window that looks out toward the forest. This place is truly magical. You are a 15/20 min ride into Bocas town, but they make transportation so accessible that this was not an issue at all. I love this resort and can’t wait to visit again.

Terrible road to get to the resort. Be prepared - the road urgently needs to be paved. Resort is beautiful and restaurant was pretty good. Had to send one order back due to fish being old/fishy tasting. Really irritated to have music played at the pool. Trying to relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean and instead there was constant bass/dance music being played. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, where possible.

Honestly I can’t say enough great things about this property. We LOVED it - truly. Staff was great, food was excellent and the spa was awesome. We were trying to decide between here and Red Frog - SO glad we picked La Coralina. A truly exceptional experience.

The property is huge. The pictures do not give justice to the size and beauty of the resort. There are trails through the jungle you can walk. Probably about 2 miles combine of walkable trails. This is all on the property so it is kept and safe. The spa pool, sauna, cold water dip hole all for the enjoyment of all the guests (no extra charge). The massages, the massages!!! We really recommend them. The birds, monkeys and we do not even know the name of the fauna, are right there for you to see and hear. The food is really good and creatively presented. All of the service staff is very friendly and helpful. We ate there for six days and only got bored with the food at the very end. The resort has a bar at the little beach across the road. They also have a bar at the bluff beach with free shuttle back and forth. Now about the people there. Best waiter - Baker, even though everyone deserves a medal. He promised us a different menu when we come back. Best hostess - Nina, even though everyone was exceptional but she really shone. One thing though and this is for the management - the pillows really and we mean really suck. I felt like Fred Flintstone in the morning. Also, we noticed signs of lack of attentiveness to the general areas aesthetics. Still minor but we hope it is not a trend. This is a very good resort and we highly recommend it. We will be back.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit hier. Die Zimmer sind schön, der Spa Bereich ausserordentlich und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Obwohl das Hotel voll ausgebucht war, gibt es genug Platz für alle Gäste und es herrscht eine angenehme Ruhe. Das Restaurant und Frühstück war auch sehr gut, einzig am Kaffee kann man noch etwas arbeiten.

La Coralina is a beautiful hotel if you want to be far from everything and relax in the middle of the jungle. If you are experienced you can also surf in the area. There is no beach nearby, you have to get a taxi to go any beach and the closest one is 15/20 minutes by car. The road to get there is in really bad conditions so it’s not a good location if you want to come and go to the town, which is 25 minutes by car. The amenities are beautiful, they offer yoga classes and meditations and the food in both restaurants is delicious. I was obsessed with the decoration of the dishes and the attention from the servers. I think they have a lot of potential and it’s sad that they don’t pay too much attention to the details, when we got to our room there was no water to drink or soap in the bathroom and the shower was broken so we had to ask for them to move us to a different room in the middle of our stay. If you stay at the hotel and you want to go Playa Estrella I highly recommend going to bocas town and taking a boat from there instead of going by car. It’s more expensive and it takes longer. They don’t explain this at the reception of the hotel, which would be nice for them to do! They don’t offer any free transportation to Bocas town or to the beach and I think it would be nice for them to offer this considering their location. The breakfast is great and I really liked all the activities. We also had a therapy massage with an ocean view and I highly recommend it.

El hotel es muy lindo, súper bien decorado, limpio, todo perfecto. Lo único que me parece súper importante notar es que la playa es solo para mirar porque el mar es muy movido, el ingreso complicado. Básicamente es para surfers. El pueblo no ofrece mucho y queda lejos del hotel. Los servicios en general son bastante básicos.

Hello, we booked a villa and were quite disappointed with the room itself. While it was very spacious, it felt rather empty. There was no proper duvet cover — just two flat sheets wrapped around the duvet. Overall, the value for money was quite poor. The bathroom was extremely basic. We were also disappointed with the service in our first villa, where the shower had no running water. When we reported the issue, the manager (or person in charge at the time) came over, visibly annoyed, and told us that the tap water was working fine, even though we were clearly referring to the shower. We had to insist that it was not normal to have no water at all. The hotel was very quiet because it was low season, with only a few guests, yet there seemed to be plenty of staff. Unfortunately, they were not very attentive to us . They were all very kind, and I feel bad pointing this out, but with so few people in the hotel, one would expect a server to be consistently present in the restaurant area. That being said, our intention is not to make a harsh complaint, but to provide constructive feedback. At this price point ($450 per night), we would expect the room and service to be impeccable. On a positive note, the hotel environment is very pleasant, full of greenery, and we truly enjoyed this aspect of our stay. We sincerely hope this feedback will be taken into account, as the potential of the place is undeniable.

Nydelig hotell med flott beliggenhet. Vakker hage med nydelig beplantning. Ingen strand ved hotellet, men man blir kjørt til to private Beachklubber eid av hotellet. Nydelig mat og veldig hyggelig betjening. Men en stor minus var at vi fikk rom på bakken. Mørkt og fuktig. Det luktet surt av sengetøyet på grunn av fuktighet. Dette trakk en god del ned.

This property exceeded my expectations. When I checked in I felt like I had been transported to Bali which is one of my favorite vacay locations. The Ocean view room was one of the best room views I have ever had. Food at the hotel was amazing. And this property was definitely walkable. Up the street you can walk to the hotel beach club, Ohanas, and Skully. The property is so beautiful I did not want to leave. The infinity pool over looks the beautiful ocean and watch the waves crash daily while relaxing on their pool deck hammocks was top tier. The staff and all amenities were amazing. I partook in spa treatments to include relaxing in their sauna. Now this sauna is amazing as it has a window that looks out toward the forest. This place is truly magical. You are a 15/20 min ride into Bocas town, but they make transportation so accessible that this was not an issue at all. I love this resort and can’t wait to visit again.

Hello, we booked a villa and were quite disappointed with the room itself. While it was very spacious, it felt rather empty. There was no proper duvet cover — just two flat sheets wrapped around the duvet. Overall, the value for money was quite poor. The bathroom was extremely basic. We were also disappointed with the service in our first villa, where the shower had no running water. When we reported the issue, the manager (or person in charge at the time) came over, visibly annoyed, and told us that the tap water was working fine, even though we were clearly referring to the shower. We had to insist that it was not normal to have no water at all. The hotel was very quiet because it was low season, with only a few guests, yet there seemed to be plenty of staff. Unfortunately, they were not very attentive to us . They were all very kind, and I feel bad pointing this out, but with so few people in the hotel, one would expect a server to be consistently present in the restaurant area. That being said, our intention is not to make a harsh complaint, but to provide constructive feedback. At this price point ($450 per night), we would expect the room and service to be impeccable. On a positive note, the hotel environment is very pleasant, full of greenery, and we truly enjoyed this aspect of our stay. We sincerely hope this feedback will be taken into account, as the potential of the place is undeniable.

A lot of thought and effort has gone into designing this hotel to make it a tranquil oasis for anyone looking to escape the modern world. Spa facilities were beautiful and the food was of incredible quality. The property is huge. The pictures do not give justice to the size and beauty of the resort. There are trails through the jungle you can walk. Probably about 2 miles combine of walkable trails. This is all on the property so it is kept and safe. The spa pool, sauna, cold water dip hole all for the enjoyment of all the guests (no extra charge). The massages, the massages!!! We really recommend them. The birds, monkeys and we do not even know the name of the fauna, are right there for you to see and hear. The food is really good and creatively presented. All of the service staff is very friendly and helpful. We ate there for six days and only got bored with the food at the very end. The resort has a bar at the little beach across the road. They also have a bar at the bluff beach with free shuttle back and forth. Now about the people there. Best waiter - Baker, even though everyone deserves a medal. He promised us a different menu when we come back. Best hostess - Nina, even though everyone was exceptional but she really shone. One thing though and this is for the management - the pillows really and we mean really suck. I felt like Fred Flintstone in the morning. Also, we noticed signs of lack of attentiveness to the general areas aesthetics. Still minor but we hope it is not a trend. This is a very good resort and we highly recommend it. We will be back.

What a gem! This is such a beautiful resort! Such a quiet, serene atmosphere. And the spa space up the hill is just beyond amazing. The staff were sweet and very responsive; all we had to do to get a taxi to or from is contact them on WhatsApp. The rooms were comfortable and nice. The food was delicious! Try the lamb tortellini! The only negative is the really rough road to get there. Hopefully they will be fixing that soon. Also, the owner had a big party at the resort on one of the nights we were there. Music was blasting til 1:00am which made it very hard to sleep. :(

Abbiamo chiamato la reception che ha insistito nel pagamento e mi ha addebitato senza mia autorizzazione Usd 20 sulla carta di credito data a garanzia. Ritengo tutto questo molto sgradevole e poco corretto visto che il contratto di Expedia prevede il trasporto aeroportuale incluso. Avrebbero potuto dirlo prima. Peraltro avremmo preso un taxi individuale ad un prezzo di USD 15. Ovviamente e’ una questione di principio in un albergo di standing elevato come dovrebbe essere questo.

Terrible road to get to the resort. Be prepared - the road urgently needs to be paved. Resort is beautiful and restaurant was pretty good. Had to send one order back due to fish being old/fishy tasting. Really irritated to have music played at the pool. Trying to relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean and instead there was constant bass/dance music being played. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, where possible.

Honestly I can’t say enough great things about this property. We LOVED it - truly. Staff was great, food was excellent and the spa was awesome. We were trying to decide between here and Red Frog - SO glad we picked La Coralina. A truly exceptional experience.

I can’t say enough positive things about this property. I will start by saying this is the most beautiful hotel ever. Of course it is visually appealing, but the staff is who make this hotel successful. From the moment I arrived to the second I left I was treated with nothing but kindness. The girls that work the breakfast, the manager at the front, and the bar staff were nothing short of amazing. The food and drinks were suburb. I stayed for my birthday, my friend with the help of the staff planned a 5 corse dinner menu for me. Every single person said happy birthday. The spa and their staff were amazing. I got the Thai massage and the facility and treatment rooms were beautiful. I could literally go on and on. If you are debating on booking this property do yourself a favor and don’t.

Wow! This resort is absolutely amazing! Bekar went above and beyond for us! He even brought in a TV to the lobby so we could watch the NHL playoff game! Food is 10/10 as well. We will definitely go back!

La Coralina Island House is a gorgeous property less than 3 years old, featuring beautiful Balinese style architecture, decor and landscaping. In comparison to other accommodations in Bocas del Toro, this is a huge property in acreage, with a water garden, meandering forest pathways, and multiple rooms and suites tucked privately around the resort. Clearly, the hotel designer/architect put meticulous thought into the creation of this luxury getaway. In November, there were only a few other guests, and there was no issue with access to seating, loungers, and amenities. In fact, we often were the only ones in the pools. The rooms were clean, tasteful, and spacious. The rain shower was huge, but could be improved by adding more shelving for shower products and adding a shower wand. The hotel provides free transport to and from the ferry/airport terminal. The hotel also provides transport to their own beach bar located on Playa Bluff 25 min away. The shuttle comes every 2 hours or so, but it would be nice to run more frequently. Playa Bluff is beautiful, but waves can be rough, so it is not amenable for swimming for everyone. There were a few minor downsides: 1. The hotel is not located near many other restaurants, and is not within easy walking distance to town. 2. The luxury facilities come with luxury prices for food and drink, though the quality was good. 3. The service needs some polish. There were a lot of trainees. We often would ask questions or make requests, a

La Coralina is a beautiful hotel if you want to be far from everything and relax in the middle of the jungle. If you are experienced you can also surf in the area. There is no beach nearby, you have to get a taxi to go any beach and the closest one is 15/20 minutes by car. The road to get there is in really bad conditions so it’s not a good location if you want to come and go to the town, which is 25 minutes by car. The amenities are beautiful, they offer yoga classes and meditations and the food in both restaurants is delicious. I was obsessed with the decoration of the dishes and the attention from the servers. I think they have a lot of potential and it’s sad that they don’t pay too much attention to the details, when we got to our room there was no water to drink or soap in the bathroom and the shower was broken so we had to ask for them to move us to a different room in the middle of our stay. If you stay at the hotel and you want to go Playa Estrella I highly recommend going to bocas town and taking a boat from there instead of going by car. It’s more expensive and it takes longer. They don’t explain this at the reception of the hotel, which would be nice for them to do! They don’t offer any free transportation to Bocas town or to the beach and I think it would be nice for them to offer this considering their location. The breakfast is great and I really liked all the activities. We also had a therapy massage with an ocean view and I highly recommend it.

I think they have a lot of potential and it’s sad that they don’t pay too much attention to the details, when we got to our room there was no water to drink or soap in the bathroom and the shower was broken so we had to ask for them to move us to a different room in the middle of our stay. If you stay at the hotel and you want to go Playa Estrella I highly recommend going to bocas town and taking a boat from there instead of going by car. It’s more expensive and it takes longer. They don’t explain this at the reception of the hotel, which would be nice for them to do! They don’t offer any free transportation to Bocas town or to the beach and I think it would be nice for them to offer this considering their location. The breakfast is great and I really liked all the activities. We also had a therapy massage with an ocean view and I highly recommend it.

Básicamente es para surfers. El pueblo no ofrece mucho y queda lejos del hotel. Los servicios en general son bastante básicos.

Terrible road to get to the resort. Be prepared - the road urgently needs to be paved. Resort is beautiful and restaurant was pretty good. Had to send one order back due to fish being old/fishy tasting. Really irritated to have music played at the pool. Trying to relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean and instead there was constant bass/dance music being played. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, where possible.

While there is no beach on site, we had plenty to do. We truly enjoyed nature and the magical jungle within the hotel. This was our second visit and definitely coming back. The restaurant, is the only downer, very expensive, very limited choices and they bring you all the food at the same time, though we explained that we want this first that that later, the excuse was, kitchen prepares it this way and we have to bring it .... Now the SPA personnel are amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating they go out of their way to accommodate your needs.

Excellent property, beautiful, great food, chef is excellent. It is a little pricey, but well worth it. Downside is that it is a ways away from downtown bocas. Where there is more happening. We rented a motor scooter which allowed us to do more things

Very difficult to get around because of the only unpaved road. The resort was fine. If you go there, plan on staying 3-4 days because it’s very hard to get to due to the only bumpy road.

Just a little bit of paradise in the middle of paradise. Everyone was wonderful and the resort is tranquil with attention to detail. Gives one a chance to escape the Bocas Town scene but a quick taxi ride to and from town.

La Coralina Island House is a gorgeous property less than 3 years old, featuring beautiful Balinese style architecture, decor and landscaping. In comparison to other accommodations in Bocas del Toro, this is a huge property in acreage, with a water garden, meandering forest pathways, and multiple rooms and suites tucked privately around the resort. Clearly, the hotel designer/architect put meticulous thought into the creation of this luxury getaway. In November, there were only a few other guests, and there was no issue with access to seating, loungers, and amenities. In fact, we often were the only ones in the pools. The rooms were clean, tasteful, and spacious. The rain shower was huge, but could be improved by adding more shelving for shower products and adding a shower wand. The hotel provides free transport to and from the ferry/airport terminal. The hotel also provides transport to their own beach bar located on Playa Bluff 25 min away. The shuttle comes every 2 hours or so, but it would be nice to run more frequently. Playa Bluff is beautiful, but waves can be rough, so it is not amenable for swimming for everyone. There were a few minor downsides: 1. The hotel is not located near many other restaurants, and is not within easy walking distance to town. 2. Beautiful property. The food and menus left a lot to be desired. It was a “western-inspired” menu. There were no local, Panamanian and/or Caribbean options. Both the beaches at the resort and their beach club (20+ minute drive) were too rough for swimming. It was not worth the money!

This property exceeded my expectations. When I checked in I felt like I had been transported to Bali which is one of my favorite vacay locations. The Ocean view room was one of the best room views I have ever had. Food at the hotel was amazing. And this property was definitely walkable. Up the street you can walk to the hotel beach club, Ohanas, and Skully. The property is so beautiful I did not want to leave. The infinity pool over looks the beautiful ocean and watch the waves crash daily while relaxing on their pool deck hammocks was top tier. The staff and all amenities were amazing. I partook in spa treatments to include relaxing in their sauna. Now this sauna is amazing as it has a window that looks out toward the forest. This place is truly magical. You are a 15/20 min ride into Bocas town, but they make transportation so accessible that this was not an issue at all. I love this resort and can’t wait to visit again.

Honestly I can’t say enough great things about this property. We LOVED it - truly. Staff was great, food was excellent and the spa was awesome. We were trying to decide between here and Red Frog - SO glad we picked La Coralina. A truly exceptional experience.

The Hotel is beautiful with a great location. We spent three nights and we have dinner the three nights, I recommend more options for the menu and also offer night specials, more drinks options as well maybe happy hour specials, our last dinner the tuna wasn’t good (no fresh) we still enjoy our wine, entrances and deserts.

Wow! This resort is absolutely amazing! Bekar went above and beyond for us! He even brought in a TV to the lobby so we could watch the NHL playoff game! Food is 10/10 as well. We will definitely go back!

Service was excellent except at the dining room, where it was very inconsistent.. One night the service was excellent and the next it was subpar where we had to wait for over an hour to be served food. Evidently the kitchen was "full". They served requested bread after we had paid the bill....

The hotel is absolutely beautiful but I feel it’s not for us. When I booked I was taking control for a late honeymoon as a surprise for my travel agent wife. When we showed up we were asked to wait 4hrs for our room (which is understandable) but we were offered a juice or coffee/tea unlike most high end resorts which offer an actual tropical drinks. I personally chose the room because I was offered a jungle or Garden view instead we were ecorted to a basement room that had a beautiful view of a wall and a bar used for parties. When opening the door our bags were not there and the staff had no idea where our bags were and asked us who on the staff had our bags last. Once this was solved we talked to the front desk about why we didn’t recieve the room we paid for and the front desk responded “well you booked on Expedia”. My question is it our fault the hotel uses Expedia so should we be punished and catagorized for that? Once the manager was involved we were promised a different room for our 5 day stay but needed to wait 24hrs. Once we traded rooms things were better but we were soured on the customer service at this hotel! Over all review is this is the most over priced place on the island that judged people on how they booked. This place is out of place on this fun island and treats people suggestively! If fun on Bocas Del Toro is your mission this is not your place and is way over priced for what you get! “Hot tub was colder then the pool our entire time👎”
