Newly remodeled, very clean. Nice views and secluded beach. Desk help didn’t know much about the area ( how to get to the beach across the road, didn’t tell us about steps to get to the casino instead of having to walk on the steep road. Didn’t tell us that we could park in an adjacent parking lot as the lot around the hotel is small and fills up. She was very pleasant.)

While the hotel doesnt really have any amenities, it is clean, safe and the staff was very friendly. The one amenity the do have is a shuttle to the casino. It would be a quick walk but its great to have this option in the winter.we will definitely be back!

Our check in was so easy, 11/8/24 and our request for exra towels and pillows was already in the room. Our shuttle driver (George)? for the nite was the best we ever had. He was so pleasant and even offered to take us to the gas station to get snacks and beverages if needed. We have been coming here for years for annual trip, and this is the first time that any driver has ever offered to do this. Its the little things that makes it a great experience.

Our check in was so easy, 11/8/24 and our request for exra towels and pillows was already in the room. Our shuttle driver (George)? for the nite was the best we ever had. He was so pleasant and even offered to take us to the gas station to get snacks and beverages if needed. We have been coming here for years for annual trip, and this is the first time that any driver has ever offered to do this. Its the little things that makes it a great experience.

The outdoor patio area is a Gem, but Badly in need of Repair or Replacement. It's a Great gathering spot for the end of the day but it's downside is deck boards and railings that are warped, showing both splinters and exposed nails. There is seating for about 15-20 so it is large enough but in poor shape. It's also inexcusable in 2024, that every room doesn't have both a mini fridge and microwave. You have to upgrade to a Bayview room to get those......Really? Don't get me wrong, we will return there again and again because between the Casino next door, shopping and dining options down the street in Suttons Bay and Leeland, there is a Huge draw.

Short walk to casino. Outdoor wrap around patio was enjoyable. Very friendly & helpful staff. Free coffee available 24 hours a day. We had a nice weekend stay & would be happy to come back again.

Staff was kind, but kinda pricey does not have pool or hot tub. Also no toiletries if needed in case of forgetting yours like we did. Very quiet and beautiful view.

Location fine for seeing the area and casino is something to do if you get bored. The lodge is nothing to rave about except the location. The carpeting in our room was absolutely filthy, It was so dirty you could no longer see the pattern, except by the wall where no one walked. It was basically black in the walkway between the beds and across the front of the room. I wore socks the entire time in the room and they were black and gross on the bottom after one evening! I wouldn’t stay here again for $209 a night. They could spring for some new cushions for the outdoor seating area, the ones out there were disintegrating and faded from the sun and filthy to sit on. If you wanted to sit out, I’d reccomend a large towel to cover the cushions. It would be a good place to stay if they’d clean it up and pay attention to some details.

Best room we have stayed in. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was like a home bathroom, not a normal hotel bath. It seemed brand new and very clean. Staff were so nice!

We stayed one night at this location for our five day trip. First concern was the hotel hallway; it is very beat up and needs deep cleaning. The carpet was coming and in terrible shape. Our room furniture was also needy some TLC, curtains had spots & around the shower needed deep cleaning. The worse part was when we woke up at 7am and my husband had red bumps all over him. They appeared to be bug bites. I was wearing long sleeve top and long bottoms and had nothing. We quickly packed and left. He told the front desk, the lady working seemed uninterested. He did suggest that someone look at the room prior to having anyone stay in the room.

The room was excellent, clean, comfortable with appealing decor. There was an outdoor area with the room with seating. We kept the sliding door open all night as there was a screen door. There is a path with steps that lead down to Lake Michigan. Ours was a quick overnight stop so we didn’t get down to the lake. We couldn’t see the lake from the room as the building is in the middle of a forest.

We were very pleasantly surprised how nice our stay was. Just a quick overnight for me and my husband, booked on spur of the moment. Our king room was newly remodeled, very spacious and extremely clean. The bed was a bit too hard for our liking but we didn’t wake up feeling achy or stiff. Our only bit of disappointment came from the person who checked us in…she could’ve been a little friendlier. Would stay again and recommend to others.

The rooms seem recently updated and are clean, good-sized with a beverage fridge and nice bathroom. My only complaints are minor - very small countertop space in bathroom, lights from the fridge were quite bright at night (solved with a piece of painters tape), and the bed sheets are very rough.

Checking time was extremely strict (seemed to be unnecessarily so). Once staff actually agreed to help us, they were friendly but a lot of computer issues made checkin take about 20 min. Newly remodeled which was nice.

Rooms are recently renovated and very updated. High quality towels and bathroom supplies. The woman at the front desk could use some customer service training. Very rude and incompetent. The gentleman working came and apologized and offered to help. Overall the place was good for the price and our stay was fine.

Our stay was great and the property was nice. Newly updated room was a nice size and we had a great view of the bay. Lobby has free coffee & tea and a filtered water machine. Friendly staff and great location near a cute town.

Our stay was great and the property was nice. Newly updated room was a nice size and we had a great view of the bay. Lobby has free coffee & tea and a filtered water machine. Friendly staff and great location near a cute town.

One night stay. Nice location. Nice lodge. Only a 30 minute drive to Traverse City. The casino was less than a 5 minute walk. Very nice casino.

The front desk staff was great and the location was quiet and beautiful. The hotel is quite literally nestled in the trees and set away from the casino. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely stay here again!

The price for a over night stay was not matching what you got for just a room. No breakfast, no where to eat dinner. The muffin that they offered was 3 dollars. We shouldn't have to help pay for the renovations of the logde. That felt like what we were paying for. The The yard on the patio was not ready for visitors. No chairs to sit out side. No mat to wipe your feet on as you walk back in the room.... they are still working on things. Just my opinion. The refrigerator was leaking water on the floor. They need to adjust the prices untill they are a 4 or 5 star.

The Lodge has had a major renovation so the material condition of the entire facility was like new. Off-season and mid-week, it was very quiet. Minimal staff was pleasant and efficient. Did not visit the casino. No dining facility in the Lodge. Convenient to restaurants.

Nice rooms. The casino is just that. Not truly a resort. Not pool or spa. No beach. No place to sit outside, comfortably, maybe to have a camp fire. The picture of the tables and chairs outside is false. There was none. The restaurant isn't. It is basically a cafeteria.

Very friendly staff. Easy check in, close parking. Breakfast is not offered, have to go to town or casino. Lobby has coffee. No pool or hot tub. The casino next door has snack bar type eating with sandwiches and such. Basic room, pillows are hard, nothing fancy. Great view of bay out balcony.

the hotel was nice, I was disappointed the hotel and casino were not together, although the shuttle service was nice. disappointed in the casino restaurant as they were limited on staff and did not offer a variety of food choices. also disappointed the card tables were not open on Monday as I love to play blackjack.

We had about 14 rooms for a wedding. The rooms were recently renovated. Comfy beds, nice towels. The view from bayside rooms gorgeous. It was quiet. No hairdryers yet Pump soap at sink would be nice We would have appreciated a continental breakfast. All in all it was a pleasant stay for 3 nights.

Entrance and parking to the LODGE were far less easy than the casino. But the ( Bayview) rooms are excellent. I have memories of this area and was not disappointed. My wife and I were treated to a peach colored sunrise the first morning. Thanks, you made the trip

Registration was a problem as we were somehow double booked. But Stacy helped us and it was taken care of. We found used washcloths in our bathroom. Also had to request a hair dryer as we had none. The casino restaurant was just ok. No table service. Casino itself was ok. We didn’t spend much time there. No table games the day we were there.
