OYO Hotel Decatur TX Hwy 287 Northwest

There is a pool advertised and it was not working. The beds are hard. The room was clean but limited towels and we had to deal with multiple spiders. Also drive way is very steep and rough on vehicle

There was no ice machine or access for ice The ac didn't blow cold air . the sheets and blankets were hard and crisp. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. There was fighting and arguing between guests who stayed a night or two as well as long term guests. One of the long term guests. Intentionally ran over a tin can memorial that belonged to the other long term guest. A knife was pulled. Threats of shot gun bein used. No hygiene products were replaced. The yard around the hotel was filled with trash and the pool had stagnant water. Old furniture decorated the grass areas all aroun the place. They make it to where then key fob doesn't work so u have to come in office every time you leave and return.

Don't do it. Stained paper thin worn sheets, horrible stains on pillows and dead bug pieces on pillows. Refrigerator was unplugged and horrible smell when opened. Shower curtain for bath door. Very Sketchy outside as grown male continued circling our area with a pointed stick as we were trying to enter room after midnight. Desk person not friendly or helpful. Would not change room. Immediately left the area and found another hotel.

This place is nasty, full of roaches coming out of every where in the room, the linens were dirty bathroom nasty, it was just nasty. The office lady is rude and over charged me.

Great bargain. Inexpensive, but clean and quiet. I'll definitely be back.

Not clean, this is a trash motel that almost appears as a homeless encampment. Linens were dirty and stained and there was hair all over the pillows. This place was disgusting.

There are dog tracks on the bed, dirty spots and hair everywhere! The linen is not washed after the guest. The white bed linen already has a brown tint!

Do not recommend. Rooms were dirty and the water smells disgusting in the sinks and showers. The front desk won’t answer after 12am and I sat and waited to get my room key fixed for over two hours. Will not be staying here again.

Stained linens, hair all in the bed and the toilet seat and rim had not been cleaned - will never recommend this location.

Given what I paid I didn’t expect much. I did expect security and privacy. I arrived at 9:46pm and needed to wait for someone to show up at the front desk. Not for too long though. The lady wasn’t very friendly and she did NOT seem to believe that I was by myself with no dog. I understand people lie, but you’re taking on the risk with the nature of the business. Don’t treat everyone like a suspect. I checked into the room and went to sleep. At about 12:35am, someone (I assume front desk lady) opens my room door!! Probably checking if I had a dog. She said sorry and left but the damage was done. I had shoved a chair and stool in front and engaged the chain/latch because the dead bolt was inoperable. Lucky I did or she’d have been in there with me. That left me feeling unsettled and I almost left, but go where at that point? No lamp in the room if that matters to you. The hotels.com website said built in 2016. Absolutely not. Maybe they mean it became OYO branded then. Very misleading. I’m not sure how travelers give this an overall 6/10. Who are these 10/10 raters? If you don’t mind someone trying to come into your room and waking you up from your sleep, go for it. You should thug it out solo here, no friends or family.

Stood at front desk for over 15 minutes and tried calling. No one came. As I was leaving I saw some ladies cleaning rooms and told them I would like to check in. The lady seemed a bit aggravated and off putting but walked towards the front but then stopped and changed her mind and said it wasn’t 3pm yet. I asked if we could still check in (I was an hr and some change early) she said it would be an extra $20. Now I would totally understand paying extra if I was a few hours early but paying $20 extra for an already clean room a hr 1/2 early seemed not customer friendly. A neighboring hotel Rodeway Inn allowed me to check in early with no extra charge. Came back and the room was okay. Definitely dark motel energy. I’d only stay here again if I absolutely needed it and planned to come in after 3pm. The shower rod was also broken in our room and hanging by a thread.

I got a clean room, comfortable bed & a working tv at a very reasonable price.

First off the smoke detector was missing. The deadbolt on the door did not work and one side of the locking device on the door was broken off. All of the linens were stained. The only electrical receptacles were at the foot end of the bed. Would not recommend due to the management not caring about the safety of the customers.

The door to my room was open when I got there which creeped me out. My room had a door to the adjoining room which was paper thin and I could hear everything going on next door. I felt very uncomfortable and didn’t end up spending the night.

I like nothing about here they are always asking for money and being mean!!!! They come to my room at 9:30 asking for room service I want a do not disturb sign!!!! I try to sleep I’m but they always wake me up and bother me!!!

I reserved a non smoking room. I arrived at 730pm after driving all day. The office was dark, nobody in there. I had to knock on the window to get someone\'s attention. It wasn\'t until after I started filling out the registration form that i was told there was no nonsmoking rooms available. The two options were to go into a smoking room and move after 930pm once someone checked out and the room was cleaned or come back at that time and get my room. How is that acceptable practice?? When I called the number given to change/modify my reservation, I got OYO Travel, only to get a 20 minute run around that the person on the other end of the phone couldn\'t help me because she "didn\'t work for the property company". Thankfully Expedia helped me with a refund. I will NEVER book this hotel again!.

Quiet, always clean rooms, love sraying here whenever im in town. Will always keep coming back .

I really like it here. Out in the country nice and quiet. It was a very nice place to get away from the busyness from the big city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was amazing and the place was charming. I will definitely come back for a getaway
