We spent two nights for NYE 2023-2024 and loved it here. Our space was bigger than we anticipated for the price we paid and loved that the main house and individual rooms had their own keyless entry. A super comfy king bed and a modern BIG TV with Netflix & YouTube TV accounts already logged in was a nice bonus, even though we didn't spend a lot time watching TV when in the room. Other apps available if you're willing to log into your own accounts. Spacious kitchenette and well stocked coffee/tea bar with Keurig or carafe options. HUGE and beautiful common areas downstairs and a shared veranda with one other room upstairs (at least we believed it was shared with the adjacent room). Outside sported a swing bench and hammock on a mostly quiet, tree canopied road that leads directly into the attractive heart of downtown Mount Dora. Mount Dora is beautiful anytime of year but especially so with the magic of Christmas. The Estate is within walking distance of three good restaurants and downtown, if you're up for the mile-long jaunt. Owners checked in on us regularly via SMS but not annoyingly. We will definitely book here again.

This property was convenient to downtown, had ample parking, and was in a quiet neighborhood. Text communication (with owner?) was good and directions for entry and internet connection were thorough. Beds were comfortable. We were surprised to learn that we were on the second floor, so if this is an issue for you, ask in advance of booking. There appeared to be 9 units at this property.. A charming looking older house and a building behind the house. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the building behind the house.

Absolute perfection. The property, caretakers, and room was all wonderful. We stayed in the Victoria Rose suite and first walking in took my breath away. It maintained the integrity of that old home feel with wooden floors and claw foot tub, but with a king size bed and big tv that can be seen from the couch and bed, it also brought together the modern day amenities without losing its classic charm. The grounds were stunning with hammocks to relax in, tables and chairs to sit in and eat at, and plenty of room for our toddler to run around comfortably and safely (under our watchful eye, of course). The estate was incredibly close to historic downtown with the cutest shops and plenty of restaurant options. We definitely plan to return soon, but without our toddler. Heirloom Estates is very family friendly, but romantic, too! Considering all it offered, you are definitely getting the most bang for your buck. I should also mention the instructions provided for check in and check out were clear and concise and incredibly easy to follow and understand. The communication with the caretakers was just enough without being overwhelming or on the other hand, leaving you scratching your head and unsure of how to proceed. Perfect from start to finish, booking to final review. 10/10!

What an old beauty of a home! I love all the wood floors and molding and stairs. They don’t make homes with character anymore. A charm it was and convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. You could walk to dinner and or sit in the yard and enjoy the grounds. Swing under a tree or sit on the porch. A delight.

Great stayed in Mt Dora Estate for two nights. There was an issue when arriving at 9:00 pm the property was dark and couldn’t find it to register. But located a number on the door and spoke with someone very friendly that help us with the registration and check in. After that it was smooth sailing, the room and bathroom were completely remodeled very cleaned, with a restaurant nearby within walking distance. Met the owner of the property the next day, very friendly who shows us the property, which part of it still in renovations. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful destination. Fully renovated, gazebo outside, lots of shade areas. The property is extremely tidy and lots of seating areas. Outside theirs a Ping-pong table and barbecues for use.

Traveled to Mt Dora for my husband's birthday: biking, bites, bourbon, and browsing the local shops. The accommodations were about 10 blocks from downtown and an easy 10-15 minute walk. Our room, the Azalea, was on the second floor. Very spacious, and clean, quiet and had a comfy bed. Air conditioner was a little musty but you can get that in an older house. The house itself housed 4 units and another 4 units in a carriage house adjacent to the property. Host was very reachable and texted several times with messages and offered any help we might need. Parking on the premises made it convenient.

Upon arrival, the room smelled of mold and mildew. There were no directions on how to operate the AC. We were hot at night. Figuring out the TV was near to impossible. The paperthin walls made it ridiculous to sleep as we heard the guy next-door to us snoring all night. The bathroom is so small that you had to put your feet on top of the shower step when you were on the toilet. The bathroom sink was not big enough to put two hands in. The door to the bathroom was a folding door that would not even close. Again, the walls are so thin that you could hear people talk cough, snore and also we heard their TV all night. The grounds were muddy, which made our car filthy inside. We were extremely disappointed in our choice and we’re thankful we were only there for two nights.

I would absolutely stay here again! For a short weekend to explore Mount Dora, I'd say it was an overall good choice! It's in walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants to explore in the historic area and just an overall nice area. At night, it's the prettiest because they have night lights all around the property and it's so comforting. A cute, well-kept little place to stay for a short while. I wish there were a stove in the room, but we managed without one, as the room had a toaster and microwave. I'd say the only ussue I had was with cleanliness in the beginning when some random items were left behind from the owners from when they were cleaning the room, but that's really only something that could've happened once in a lifetime. They even offered us a new room in case we had wanted it for the inconvenience, but decided to stay with our current because of the aesthetic. I liked this place! Would stay again! Friendly and attending staff, nice atmosphere, and super home-y!

We LOVED our stay at The Estates! Our suite was beautiful, comfortable and peaceful! The house was immaculately clean! We could walk to downtown and eateries! We would definitely stay here again and again! Note-stairs to upstairs suites are steep. If you have problems with steps stay downstairs or in the carriage house.

The room I stayed in was absolutely perfect! It was recently updated, very clean and had everything I needed. Private patio was a nice touch. The property and surrounding area was very quiet. I have family in the area so I will definitely stay here every time I come back!

The rooms were beautiful, the location ideal - just far enough from downtown Mt. Dora that my husband didn't make me walk the whole time. There were a couple of decent bars/restaurants within walking distance. The kitchen was well stocked and the linens were high-quality. We had control of the thermostat and enough covers on the beds to keep us comfortable. I would definitely stay at The Estate at Mt. Dora again.

Pros Nice quiet and peaceful area. I woke up to the birds chirping in the backyard. The bed was very comfortable, nice top linens and towels were great quality and plenty available for one or two person(s). The room was well appointed for everything you would need. Appreciated the bottled water and Herseys kisses. There was also wine that I did not partake. TV worked great and was able to watch my favorite Netflix show. It was fairly close (walking distance) to the historic section of Mount Dora which is a lovely town. I walked to the lighthouse and booked the canal tour which were both lovely. The room was an Excellent value for the money. Cons. If you are a tall person, you may struggle with the bathroom facility. It is tiny. I am a short person and it was interesting moving around in that small space! All in all, I enjoyed my stay and it was a fabulous end to my Florida vacation!

Check-in was a hassle. Then the lock would not lock as we were leaving our room. Had to have maintenance come over and fix it .Our room was on the gronud floor and the guests who were staying above us were up most of the night and we could hear every step they took. The floors were very creaky.

I thought the transformation of the barn was very uniquely done. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Love the coffee area . Restaurants and shopping are close by.

Super cute place and the room was great!! The bathroom on the other hand was extremely small. Like your feet rest in the shower when you are sitting on the toilet. Honestly the bathroom was our only complaint, everything else was awesome!

Walls in the back building are paper thin.... could hear the people next store and the footsteps and talking from the room above. They do not have a TV cable package, so any "TV" is only whatever subscription services you have. The bathroom in the Willow room is about 5\' square, but at least you can save time by shaving your legs in the shower while sitting on the toilet. The local internet was out for a full day and they refunded us $30 for that.

There is no staff. Everything is done remotely. The room was smaller than the pictures, and had a musty smell that was so bothersome that we only stayed for the first of a scheduled two day prepaid stay. Also, it's much further from downtown than it looks, which could be a difficult walk for older guests. Driving downtown would be a problem during the weekends when downtown parking is difficult to find.

Traveled to Mt Dora for my husband's birthday: biking, bites, bourbon, and browsing the local shops. The accommodations were about 10 blocks from downtown and an easy 10-15 minute walk. Our room, the Azalea, was on the second floor. Very spacious, and clean, quiet and had a comfy bed. Air conditioner was a little musty but you can get that in an older house. The house itself housed 4 units and another 4 units in a carriage house adjacent to the property. Host was very reachable and texted several times with messages and offered any help we might need. Parking on the premises made it convenient.

When we first arrived we were a bit disappointed because the room was not ready. We arrived at 6:00 pm. I contacted the manager via text and he responded quickly and efficiently. We stepped out for a couple of hours and when we returned the room had been cleaned. Other than this hiccup, everything was perfect. He compensated us for the inconvenience and gave us a discount. I would recommend this place.

We had a charming efficiency room ("Lily") in the carriage house. While the bathroom could use an update, it was very well appointed, as was the entire room and kitchenette. Clean, comfortable, and quaint. Best of all, the management truly cares about their guests' comfort and satisfaction. When an issue popped up on our first morning, Stephen took care of it immediately and went above and beyond for us. We would gladly stay here again!

We really liked the house and atmosphere. "Staff and Service" rating is because there was absolutely no contact with anyone. Very impersonal!! What bothered us the most was the lack of security. I assumed the door codes were changed regularly. Apparently not, as the information binder in the room had both codes. Anyone who stayed here in the paste would have both codes with access to our room at any time. There was not even a deadbolt on the inside to secure during the night.

Great stayed in Mt Dora Estate for two nights. There was an issue when arriving at 9:00 pm the property was dark and couldn’t find it to register. But located a number on the door and spoke with someone very friendly that help us with the registration and check in. After that it was smooth sailing, the room and bathroom were completely remodeled very cleaned, with a restaurant nearby within walking distance. Met the owner of the property the next day, very friendly who shows us the property, which part of it still in renovations. Would definitely stay again.

What is below a 1for eating. Hotel showed us booking through Expedia but we did not and booked through hotels.com we booked a Friday night stay they saved a Monday night stay and did nothing to assist us. If fact just told us that we have to cancel 5 days in advance on dates we didn’t even book. Beyond frustrated with Leo who failed to listen or assist us!!! Stay away from this facility and staff.

The Estate was an easy and convenient option for a short stay in Mount Dora to visit family. The space was perfect for us with 2 beds and a kitchenette. It was quiet and pretty. Logistics of getting in were easy and the proprietors checked in with us to ensure everything was OK. Well-located! Recommend the nearby Highland Cafe for breakfast.

We enjoyed being able to walk to everything, it was .6 miles to town. The room was clean and the owner checked in frequently on us. They had a couple good restaurants nearby. We enjoyed Jeremiah.

The rooms were beautiful, the location ideal - just far enough from downtown Mt. Dora that my husband didn't make me walk the whole time. There were a couple of decent bars/restaurants within walking distance. The kitchen was well stocked and the linens were high-quality. We had control of the thermostat and enough covers on the beds to keep us comfortable. I would definitely stay at The Estate at Mt. Dora again.

We like staying in historic Bed & Breakfast Inns and though this is not a true B&B, it has that flavor and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a lovely, historic building with tree covered grounds and is very relaxing. It is a 1/2 mile walk to downtown, which has many great restaurants and shopping opportunities. Be sure to take the 2 hour boat tour on Lake Dora. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Pros Nice quiet and peaceful area. I woke up to the birds chirping in the backyard. The bed was very comfortable, nice top linens and towels were great quality and plenty available for one or two person(s). The room was well appointed for everything you would need. Appreciated the bottled water and Herseys kisses. There was also wine that I did not partake. TV worked great and was able to watch my favorite Netflix show. It was fairly close (walking distance) to the historic section of Mount Dora which is a lovely town. I walked to the lighthouse and booked the canal tour which were both lovely. The room was an Excellent value for the money. Cons. If you are a tall person, you may struggle with the bathroom facility. It is tiny. I am a short person and it was interesting moving around in that small space! All in all, I enjoyed my stay and it was a fabulous end to my Florida vacation!

Well appointed room with plenty of towels, available toiletries, kitchen with plenty of utensils, beautifully decorated property with especially comfortable seating and common area. Property is located within walking to beautiful downtown area with abundance of dinning options. Hosts were personable, keeping in touch via texts to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommended. Will stay here again!!!

This property was just simply amazing! The room style was unique, and everything is up to date. I traveled here to attend the Mt.Dora high school graduation and I walk there it was next door that was amazing I didn't have to wait in any long lines. I only wish they had breakfast. The entire home is just lovely. I will be returning!

This place is beautiful! I love the character of this estate. The rooms are gorgeous and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing, I didnt want to leave. We walked down to dinner and then breakfast the next moring. Cant wait to come back!

Don't recommend. The house grounds are large but needing trimming. The rooms in the main house rooms on upper level require the use of stairs with a landing that ends on a tiny landing with 3 doors. The handrail was loose from the wall. Crazy and don't know how you'd get out in an emergency. The bedroom ceiling had temporary patches. The reservation was paid for on Hotels.com and I had my email confirmation but they wouldn't let me access my room until I gave them my CC info again. Text I received from property owner then notified me there was an additional fee for my dog for my 2 night stay. When I texted them I didn't see any fee on line they said there was. No response so stayed 2 nights. Only to be texted the 2nd morning that they had an electrician scheduled who would need access to my room. Why not let me leave after 1 night paying the dog fee??
Don't recommend. The house grounds are large but needing trimming. The rooms in the main house rooms on upper level require the use of stairs with a landing that ends on a tiny landing with 3 doors. The handrail was loose from the wall. Crazy and don't know how you'd get out in an emergency. The bedroom ceiling had temporary patches. The reservation was paid for on Hotels.com and I had my email confirmation but they wouldn't let me access my room until I gave them my CC info again. Text I received from property owner then notified me there was an additional fee for my dog for my 2 night stay. When I texted them I didn't see any fee on line they said there was.
