Lovely stay! Fab hotel, great atmosphere, quite glam! Lovely restaurant and lounge area. We paid for a king/queen size room which was as described . Staff all excellent and helpful.

Easy parking and quick efficient check in. Room was spotless and well equipped. Staff were cheerful and obliging throughout.We were given a ground floor room as requested. Had an excellent pre-dinner cocktail and the meal itself was top class. One of the best steaks I’ve had for years. My wife’s chilli beef was tender and juicy too. The whole meal was a special occasion.

The hotel is located close to everything you need while also being in a quiet area.Lovely building with a spacious garden to relax in. Friendly helpful staff. Some of the decor maybe a bit unnecessary but it could be argued that adds to it's character. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. We got a free room upgrade which was a nice surprise.

Good parking on site. A very warm welcome and beautiful room. The burger night offer was good value and very tasty and plentiful. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked , all in all a wonderful stay

I had booked one of the deluxe rooms which cost £297 for the night. The size of the room and views were great, but I expected a higher quality given the price and description. There wasn’t anything major wrong, however there were several small things that made it disappointing. Firstly cleanliness, particularly the bathroom there were dust webs, lots of limescale and equipment on top of the shower (the shower had a missing knob). In terms of the room, small things needed finessing such as fixing the curtain hooks so they stay in the wall (for the tie backs), a range of biscuits rather than one packet, a larger TV especially for the size of the room and well maintained window frames (some were rotting) and cleaning the cobwebs and spiders from the windows. That said, staff were friendly and helpful and it was a great location.

Quirky boutique hotel . Eclectic style . Friendly staff . Lovely breakfast. Room a bit small and carpet needed a clean large comfy bed but not 4*bedding. Accurate description on your site but top end of b and b price range , luckily I had a hotels.com voucher to use .

Stayed here a few times so feel this is a true review, check in was quick and efficient, single room was very cramped . Dressing table also doubles up as tea/coffee station so very cramped. In the rooms I have stayed in, the beds not very comfy, unable to sleep with window open due to being near a footpath on ground floor. Room was clean Breakfast was disappointing on both occasions, Waited for ages to be seated, toast forgotten on both occasions, feel that for the price that is being charged this is not reflected in the service.

We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. I’m gluten free and had no issues with choice of menu, the staff made sure everything was ok for me to have. The hotel was spotless. Would definitely recommend

Stayed here for a friends birthday and retirement party. We was taken up to our room by a member of the hotel staff, the room was clean, comfortable and nice. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection, will stay here again.

Abundant and pleasant outdoor seating areas. Friendly staff. Very clean room with good facilites. Very comfortable bed and quiet surroundings gave a great sleep. Loved the decor and had a quiet relaxing break. Great meal and excellet food quality. Only minor downside was Wi Fi stopped working 24 hours after our arrival. Worked in the lounge and outside so was able to use it there. Saltburn beach, funicular railway and peir were good.

It was quite expensive for a very small family room, with no bath. It was right on the ground floor next to the car park and people were constantly walking past right next to our window, a couple of metres from our bed, which was quite noisy. The bathroom was small, with an unusable towel rail on the wall behind the shower, so there was nowhere to put any towels. My partner had a disappointing and again expensive steak which was overcooked and of poor quality. The breakfast was great but the two poor staff seemed run off their feet and it was all a bit disjointed, taking 40 minutes for our food to arrive.

An eccentric small hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. There is no aircon so some of the rooms can be difficult to keep cool in sunny weather. The breakfast is menu based rather than a buffet and is very good although I would reccomend giving the cafetiere coffee a miss and going for something from the esspresso machine which is much better. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent although, like so many places there was over loud and completely un neccessary music. Brockley Hall is an ideal base for a few days exploring the area or walking sections of the Cleveland Way or coastal path.

Ok so it is a nice hotel in a nice area, close to the walk down to the sea and had a nice feel to the whole place. Staff very friendly. Room slightly weird with bath in with the bed area (right next to the window but having said weird at least you can watch TV in the bath. Inevitable failure of the extractor fan in the shower area...seems to be a common theme in hotels. Only issue was noise, it is an old building so you hear above and below and also my room was above the exit to the kitchen and the extractor fan blows out until about 11..loudly and smelling of frying. On 2nd night the kitchen radio was so loud just listened to that instead. Then you get woken at 5:45 when it is switched on again and the doors get banged with stuff going in and out.

There’s no doubt that the decor is bonkers! It’s more than quirky! It’s a good location. The outdoor area was great in the warmth. To just sit with a drink and read was splendid A downside is that in the heat wave our room on the top floor was roasting - a fan didn’t begin to touch it so sleeping was a problem.

Good location, building and grounds interesting. Quirky decor and friendly staff. Twin beds linked together not comfortable and the ceiling light fittings too low as I’m 6 feet 5 kept having to duck.

Very comfortable hotel in its trademark kitch style. The food , both at breakfast and dinner is excellent and I like the fact that breakfast is fresh cooked and not a buffet. I also like the cafetiere in the bedroom. One not of warning is that the room above the bar can be very noisy

My partner had a disappointing and again expensive steak which was overcooked and of poor quality. The breakfast was great but the two poor staff seemed run off their feet and it was all a bit disjointed, taking 40 minutes for our food to arrive.
It was quite expensive for a very small family room, with no bath. It was right on the ground floor next to the car park and people were constantly walking past right next to our window, a couple of metres from our bed, which was quite noisy. The bathroom was small, with an unusable towel rail on the wall behind the shower, so there was nowhere to put any towels. Easy parking and quick efficient check in. Room was spotless and well equipped. Staff were cheerful and obliging throughout.We were given a ground floor room as requested. Had an excellent pre-dinner cocktail and the meal itself was top class. One of the best steaks I’ve had for years. My wife’s chilli beef was tender and juicy too. The whole meal was a special occasion.

Stayed here a few times so feel this is a true review, check in was quick and efficient, single room was very cramped . Dressing table also doubles up as tea/coffee station so very cramped. In the rooms I have stayed in, the beds not very comfy, unable to sleep with window open due to being near a footpath on ground floor. Room was clean Breakfast was disappointing on both occasions, Waited for ages to be seated, toast forgotten on both occasions, feel that for the price that is being charged this is not reflected in the service.

Breakfast both mornings offered mixed toast only then to be told no white bread, surely just pop to local shop and buy some. Both mornings second course brought out before first course plates cleared away so we moved the finished plates to one side expecting waitress to take them away, but she left them. I had to call her back and ask her to clear them away. The reception staff were lovely and friendly. The decor is all a bit dark for my taste. Good to have car park. Very impressive shower and comfy bed. I never write negative reviews but just felt disappointed by a few aspects. A shame because it was our first visit to Saltburn and we thought it was a lovely seaside town but the hotel despite looking impressive needs to improve for the price we paid.

The hotel is located close to everything you need while also being in a quiet area.Lovely building with a spacious garden to relax in. Friendly helpful staff. Some of the decor maybe a bit unnecessary but it could be argued that adds to it's character. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. We got a free room upgrade which was a nice surprise.

We were on the Cleveland Way and stayed One Night. It seems that Backpackers Are Not that welcome. Nevertheless we hat a nice stay in Saltburn and enjoyed a sunny day.

Uniquely styled boutique hotel with fantastic dining experience. Set in easy walking distance to the centre of Saltburn by the Sea and the pebble beach. Great location to explore the area and travel to Whitby.

Although this hotel looked like on booking that it was going to tick “all the boxes” for our celebratory stay, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The communal area decorations, especially in the restaurant were lavish and fun. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Regarding beer, usually hotels just offer fizzy keg beers. So really surprising they offered two cask beers that were well kept. The hotel faces a hillside walkway and gardens which can take you down to the beach and Cleveland Way.

An amazing hotel. From the quirky decorations to the exceptional staff, we were thrilled with our choice of hotel and would not hesitate to return there or recommend to anyone else. The food was delicious too, easily the best in the area.

An eccentric small hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. There is no aircon so some of the rooms can be difficult to keep cool in sunny weather. The breakfast is menu based rather than a buffet and is very good although I would reccomend giving the cafetiere coffee a miss and going for something from the esspresso machine which is much better. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent although, like so many places there was over loud and completely un neccessary music. Brockley Hall is an ideal base for a few days exploring the area or walking sections of the Cleveland Way or coastal path.

Wow - we were blown away by this feast for the eyes! I fully appreciate that the decor at the hotel won’t appeal to everyone (art is after all subjective) but, as a photographer myself and with my art loving husband, we found our two night stay here to be a fitting and beautiful end to our three week tour of the North! In addition to the decor we had a comfy bed, great food (they really looked after my coeliac requirements) and the staff were wonderful. We love Saltburn so of course knew the surrounding area would be amazing as always but this hotel made our stay perfect. There is literally something new to see everywhere you look! Giraffes in the dining room, swans and flamingoes on the walls with a huge bear to greet you on arrival and quirky wallpaper. Loved the whole stay!

We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. I’m gluten free and had no issues with choice of menu, the staff made sure everything was ok for me to have. The hotel was spotless. Would definitely recommend

The decor is over the top kitch with lots of black, purple and silver so it won't be to everyone's taste. The larger rooms in the old part of the property are poorly lit and have free standing baths which take up loads of space while the actual bathroom is cramped but they have plenty of seating and big windows. I also like that the beds are low rather than the high ones that have become the fashion. The food is really good, both at breakfast and at dinner and the staff are friendly and helpful. They tend to have intrusive and unneccessary music playing which is a shame but it's the same almost everywhere one goes

The outside is nothing like the inside but still as wonderful. Very eclectic decor which is fun and elegant. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed and lovely linen. Very nice bathroom with a great shower. Receptionist very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices excellent and very tasty. The evening meal was absolutely delicious. Service in restaurant and at breakfast was a little hit and miss but not an issue. Would happily return.
