Celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary at The Shawnee Inn . The service, the food and our beautiful upgraded suite were just awesome. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner out on the veranda with stunning views of the Delaware river.. took a property tour in a golf cart, relaxed by the bonfire, making s’mores. They have a brewery right on site. They just redid their indoor swimming pool. We truly love this place and can’t wait to return..

We stay for a high school reunion in early October. Such a lovely time to be there. Nice event held on the premises and it turned out great. Many things to do in the area as well. Although most rooms are small, we paid more for a double & I was happy we did although a bit loud near the elevator. Bathroom trips require a step up if you have elderly people, keep that in mind. Bed was super comfortable, you pay for breakfast on site if you want that & the in-room coffee needs a better system. There is a brewery on site that had music and a little pub restaurant a quick walk away. All in all, I loved this historic hotel even though not 5 star at all!

I like that. It was very quiet, not much kids. But I purposely booked. Displays for the pool. And the pool was being worked on a natural event on the site. The pool was unavailable at this moment

I love that we stayed the weekend and didn’t have to leave the property for food, entertainment and activities. Staff is exceptional!

Shawnee Inn had its day many years ago, and has grown care worn. It is clean. That's the good news. Screens hanging out, sloppy paint, cheap decor in the rooms...even the ice machines don't work. But what really disappointed me was that we booked a one night stay for not a cheap price...and they never mentioned that the pool and jacuzzi were not operating. So disappointed.

if you like golf and Oh family oriented vacations this is your place. great food, great Staff, great services. This place has tons of history. so, if your history Buff then you’re in for a real treat. it’s quiet, secluded and there’s lots of different activities for you and your family to do together from Swimming, hiking, Archery, canoeing, Ax throwing, golf, Driving Range, River Boat, etc.

Staff was wonderful. Fireplace was very cozy. Food good. Gym was the worst I have ever seen. I have stayed there three times and commented on the gym each time and it gets worse each year. Nothing in the gym and nothing worked. Not much to do at the hotel other than sit at the fireplace and hike or ski.

We only stayed one night, so I cannot speak to the amenities nor the entire property. However, I have vacationed at Shawnee many times and decided to book a night’s stay off of my prior experience. Unfortunately, we were given a room in the lodge, which is a building located before the main inn and it resembles a large trailer. The parking was accessible and convenient. The building’s back and main doors were not locking properly. The room was comfortable but old. The housekeeping of the room was not up to standard. The mini fridge had the prior guests food still in it. The bed, although was clean and comfortable, the bedding was untucked, giving a look of untidiness, and the extra blanket looked used and not freshly laundered. The bathroom was newly renovated and the shower was lovely. The price for this room should not be priced the same as the main inn. The whole building needed renovating not just the bathroom. I did not complain because it was only one night, but I would have definitely been very unsatisfied if this was my room for a vacation.

It was built in 1911 and the property is really cool, but they have done a poor job at updating and keeping up with regular maintenance. The Delaware lodge is gross. Room renos were done in 2022, but the building was in bad shape with roof leaks and water damage on ceilings and walls. We moved to the Main Inn. There the hallways smelled, the drop ceilings were dingy and had water damage, the carpets were tattered, and they painted over wallpaper that is peeling. Once in the room, it had a renovated bath, flooring, paint, and new headboards. A coffee maker, big TV, and small fridge were provided. The beds were new and comfortable. On first impression the room looked nice, but after sitting in it for a while we noted the poor quality workmamship in the painting. There was paint on the picture frames, curtains, windows and moldings. Our air conditioning went out after midnight on our last night, making for a miserable sleep. Walls throughout the Inn were beat up and chipping everywhere and there was paint all over the restaurant floor where it was obvious no drop clothes were used. We tried to enjoy a fire outside and staff refused to give more wood just before 10:00. The Italian food was amazing, front desk staff was accommodating, and hotel staff great. Golf got rained out and rain checks were given. There is potential for this resort to be amazing and I know it was in its heyday, but they need to hire a new painter and pay better attention to small details.

So when booking for this place you need to read fine prints because I didn’t realized when I booked that they have booked me at Delaware Lodge, which the room is decent and clean. But the entrance has broken furniture and leakage from the ceiling. I have to call the front desk to give us soap since there’s none in the room

The property is very dated. It could use some more modern features in the charming historic rooms. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. Everything was clean. The location on the river is amazing. Be sure to canoe the Delaware River. The Thai place on Buttermilk Falls Road is amazing

This resort is in such a beautiful location, has great amenities and activities, the Gem & Keystone's food is fantastic, and the staff - Everyone from front desk to maintenance to restaurant staff, is incredible. You really feel at home, each person remembered me and greeted my my name throughout the weekend - Very special. Big props to Iris at the front desk who was extra special during our stay to make sure we were comfortable. But the rooms... They are awful. I don't think a single thing has been changed or upgraded since my mom worked here in the 70s. There are gauges, scratches and stains all over the walls, peeling paint, stains in bathtubs and what appeared to be mold. The bathroom doesn't even look the same as what's advertised on their web site. Especially in the Lodge near the street. We had one room in the main hotel building, and one in the lodge so we got a good comparison. Rooms are very musty and smelly. I would bring air freshener or candles. The lodge room didn't look anything like the web site photos - I think every room may be different. This hotel has so much potential to be an incredible 4 star hotel, but the rooms need some major TLC. It seems all the attention goes to the lobby. After the first night, we begged to be moved into a different room and they did move me to a different lodge room which is by far the best room I saw.

Hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Staff was super welcoming. Cleanliness not to par - dirty rag left on night stand and there was an old blood stain on comforter. Getting the tv to work was a challenge despite the step by step instructions.

We really loved our visit and had been looking forward to it for years as my wife and I fell in love here many years ago. However, we were in room 110 and it was extremely noisy until around 2 AM. Completely understandable until around 10 or 11 PM, but it went on far too long as a huge group of golfers were on the front porch all night. This was a shame and while we will come back to Shawnee again, this experience may result in us staying elsewhere next time.

The golf course is great and lots of activities. The rooms are small and dated. To the point of “I can’t believe hat I paid that much for this room”. But the resort makes up for it somewhat.

When booking at the Shawnee Inn , I was expecting to stay at the main building. When we arrived, we were told that we were staying at the Delaware. Be aware- If you book the two queen beds, you will be staying in a run down building. The beds had no headboards, there was patch jobs on the walls that were not painted over, The front door did not securely lock. Not to mention, you are at the entrance far away from everything. It stated that you had a golf course view, which was not true, you face a parking lot So whenever anyone comes in or out at night, the lights lights shine through the room. The walls were paper, thin. Every time, Someone flushed the toilet or spoke, you could hear it. There was also gnats all through the room, cobwebs, And spiders. This is a place that I would visit for a day due to all of the activities on the property, but I would not recommend anyone to stay here at least until they have completed renovations. We also were notified on our way to the hotel that the pool is being run so we would have to use a pool at another location. Dining was nice! We On the patio overlooking the water, which was very relaxing. The guided tour was a lot of fun!

Property is very beautiful. Rooms are a little less than desired. Our room was old a located in the main hotel. Furniture was beat up. Toilet had a leak onto the floor. A high step was required to go into the bathroom. Rooms are really small. Walls are thin and you can hear everything. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable. The pool area is very nice a well kept. The staff was very polite.

It’s so peaceful and so beautiful anytime of the year we go. We had problems with the TV our entire stay and the person in the next room coughed and sneezed all night like they were in the same room with us. I think it’s time for some upgrades.

Be careful chosing a double queen room. They orginally placed my family and I in the delaware lodge just because it houses the only rooms with queen beds. Well the lodge is far from the main building, very spooky (reminded me of old slave quarters yoid see in the south) and it didnt even have a ice machine! The next morning we were moved into the main building where the rooms were smaller but it was nicer. The bathroom layout is compact and the toilet paper holder is behind the toilet, which was weird*

They have a brewery right on site. They just redid their indoor swimming pool. We truly love this place and can’t wait to return..

I would definitely come back to the Shawnee Resort because it really was a beautiful experience. However, there were definitely something’s that got frustrating. First thing I have to say is the night manager Lasett (I’m sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) showed phenomenal customer service and was extremely accommodating to my girlfriend and I. Due to an occasion, my girlfriend and I came at 1am in the morning and the Shawnee Inn was accommodating to that. However, it was very frustrating knowing that we could have come at 1pm the day before, but was told I was unable to because there were no rooms open. Which was not the case and was told to us at check in which was a little aggravating because I paid for a day that we weren’t even there. Second thing is I booked a couples massage and was called the the day before check in that they had no one avabliable so they had to credit my massages. Later on in the day, we walked into the Spa asking if they had openings and they did. The women (Unfortunately I forgot her name) that did my girlfriends and I massage was incredible. I know she stated she was the manager of the Spa and also showed amazing customer service. In regards to the room, we got what we paid. The AC would not cool the room so we had to open a window. Regardless of all that, our experience truly was amazing and we had a great get away. Very family friendly and despite the little mishaps we are defiantly coming back.

The best part about this property is not only its location, but the high level of customer service given to the guests. AJ at the front desk is phenomenal, and Sarah in the restaurant was great and attentive. You can really tell the staff cares about the guests and wants them to have an enjoyable stay.

Although this place is a but older, it's very clean. The staffs are amazing. The had some complimentary activities to do and s'mores everynight. I will definitely stay there again next time we visit. Listen to their recommendations you won't be disappointed.

One staff person not helpful. Said that she would contact me to let me know if I could keep my room for extended stay. Also gave mid information letting me think my reservation was lost. She went home without letting me know. I went to the seat at the appointed time & she was gone. Another staff person was able to easily help. The difficult person was AJ.

The resort was beautiful but we had a slight inconvenience while checking out. We had booked our room through expedia but the resort did not get the reservation. Due to this reason,during check in we were given a different room for one day and the staff asked us if we could move to a different room for the next two days. We agreed but we were not informed about an additional cost for the room shift. So when we were checking out this was news to us and it would have been better if the staff had informed us beforehand about the extra charge.

This resort is in such a beautiful location, has great amenities and activities, the Gem & Keystone's food is fantastic, and the staff - Everyone from front desk to maintenance to restaurant staff, is incredible. You really feel at home, each person remembered me and greeted my my name throughout the weekend - Very special. Big props to Iris at the front desk who was extra special during our stay to make sure we were comfortable. But the rooms... They are awful. I don't think a single thing has been changed or upgraded since my mom worked here in the 70s. There are gauges, scratches and stains all over the walls, peeling paint, stains in bathtubs and what appeared to be mold. The bathroom doesn't even look the same as what's advertised on their web site. Especially in the Lodge near the street. We had one room in the main hotel building, and one in the lodge so we got a good comparison. Rooms are very musty and smelly. I would bring air freshener or candles. The lodge room didn't look anything like the web site photos - I think every room may be different. This hotel has so much potential to be an incredible 4 star hotel, but the rooms need some major TLC. It seems all the attention goes to the lobby. After the first night, we begged to be moved into a different room and they did move me to a different lodge room which is by far the best room I saw.

The trip started off a little disappointing when the desk clerk mentioned the champagne I ordered ruining the surprise. Dinner in the steakhouse was over all disappointing. The brewer and pizza was excellent. What was really upsetting is I booked the trip to rest and despite check out being at 11 and having a do not disturb sign hanging on my door, housekeeping still knocked on the door at 8:30 am waking us up.

We stayed here a few years ago and we loved it. Unfortunately the pool was closed during our stay (we did get a call notifying us the day after we booked). All facilities were closed due to a private event. We went for a night to relax and enjoy the bar/restaurant but we couldn’t so we had to drive to a different location for a restaurant. Make sure you call before your stay to make sure they are opened. Rooms weren’t in the best condition, but they were clean. The room and bathroom were really cold even though we turned up the heat. Staff was friendly. Overall, ok. Wont return though. Thank you!

The grounds and vibe of this place is amazing. If I was just there for the day I would have given it 5 stars. Staff is very nice and helpful, the brewery is really fun. The pool was very nice and clean. However, there was mold in our room in the closet along a pipe and in the bathroom which is completely unacceptable. The walls are also very thin and there’s paint chipping in multiple places. It such a shame, it could be such a magical place. My hope is not to deter people but alert the facility that they need to upgrade their rooms.

Rooms were terrible Our room had a bathroom that was so small you couldn’t even sit on the commode without your knees hitting the bathtub My sisters room -although it had a walk in shower - had absolutely no draws to put clothes in so she had to leave clothes in her suitcase all 3 days Staff at desk was rude Walls on 1st floor peeling My daughters room was located w front patio outside her window and on Sunday morning at 6pm they started settling up tables for breakfast - very noisy and inconsiderate We all were not very happy !!!and disappointed
Rooms were terrible Our room had a bathroom that was so small you couldn’t even sit on the commode without your knees hitting the bathtub My sisters room -although it had a walk in shower - had absolutely no draws to put clothes in so she had to leave clothes in her suitcase all 3 days Staff at desk was rude Walls on 1st floor peeling My daughters room was located w front patio outside her window and on Sunday morning at 6pm they started settling up tables for breakfast - very noisy and inconsiderate We all were not very happy !!!and disappointed

Place is great rooms a disgusting! There is rust on the shower curtains, broken panels in the bathroom, the shower head is 5 foot high! I love this place but the rooms are a joke for what you pay! Just gross!
