Everything about Hotel Del Doge was exceptional! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Old Town Chania. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect blend of original charm and modern amenities. The woodwork, beams, railings, windows and shutters were beautiful details; the bathrooms had abundant hot water; the water bottles, refrigerator, and in-room amenities were all fantastic as well. The room, bedding, towels etc was all sparkling clean and always smelled very fresh (meaning you can tell it's very well cleaned and maintained); I was always delighted to notice that every night when we returned from a long day of walking and journeying around West Crete. With the shutters open you can hear and feel part of the wonderful energy of the area, but with the shutters closed it was completely quiet. We stayed there upon landing in Crete and had the most restorative, restful sleep. The facility itself, is beautiful. The restaurant is top-notch and the outdoor seating is delightful. The staff was wonderful, warm, friendly and very personable, and I was grateful to use the hotel lobby very late one night to take a work meeting online while my family slept. If I could sum it up in a couple of words I'd say it was perfect with just the right amount of everything. I hope to return to this hotel again in the future and recommend it very highly to anyone looking.

Wonderful 1 night stay at the Boutique Hotel Del Doge. Very quaint hotel, room was huge, comfortable and clean and surprisingly quiet for its location right in the middle of the old town. Step out of the hotel and you are right in the hub, bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep. 1 minute walk to the harbour area. Please note that due to the hotel’s location you cannot drive to it you need to walk from the perimeter of the old town along cobbled streets, also there is no lift at the hotel so unless you request a ground floor room then your cases will need to be carried up the stairs. Overall in my opinion a lovely place to stay if you’re looking for a short break in lovely Chania.
