We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. Perks were how close it is to breweries and restaurants (walkable) and being able to enjoy the fire pit in the evening. We didnt mind that our room wasn't made up, nor was noise an issue. We will be back :)

It was nice that they had coffee ready by 6:00am each morning with breakfast treats. We also enjoyed sitting in the HUB and playing cards with a deck they had available for guests.

This adorable, boutique hotel was easy to find, had on-site parking and exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and warmth. The young man who checked me in (and was a constant smiling face throughout my stay) was friendly, helpful and full of great recommendations about the area. I wanted for nothing during my stay and would highly recommend both the accommodations and the area.

A very clean and comfortable stay with fun decor, a good bed and shower, plenty of space and super easy parking. The hotel is in a neighborhood and you can definitely hear some road noise but it did not bother us too much. Free coffee and pastries are pretty basic, nothing special. I’d skip it in favor of far better options in town.

Clean, cute - absolutely the most welcoming place for dogs. They give a generous dog welcome kit, with a sheet, rug, treats, etc. They have a clean, convenient, fenced and safe dog run.

Had higher hopes for this hotel. It looks really cute in the photos, but the rooms are rather drab and shoddy. Our carpet was completely stained, the room lacked any character, and didn't come with very many amenities (no microwave, no coffee maker). The people at the front desk were friendly, but didn't know much about anything when we asked them (i.e., not very helpful). I personally wouldn't stay here again. Wasn't even close to worth the price they charge for a night.

Great location. Especially if you have a bike to bomb around Bellingham. Service was great and super friendly. My only complaint is that the carpets were pretty gross. Probably time to replace. Also it’s a little pricey for what it is. I’d expect this to be closer to $100 a night but I guess there’s high demand

The Heliotrope is an updated vintage motel. It was super charming and very conveniently located close to downtown. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, and the area felt safe. Walls are a little thin. The morning we left we overheard the room next to us having a very animated conversation. We weren’t sure if it was happy and excited or a fight.

cute little place. It used to be a motel and they switched it to more of a hotel but it’s definitely not really a hotel. That said, accommodations were comfortable and clean, staff was very sweet Walls are quite thin so you will probably hear your neighbors but they provide earplugs (can be found in the bathroom)

The Heliotrope was a great small motel. Pretty close to the center of town. Not really walking distance, but a bike would be perfect. Friendly staff. Close to RR tracks but they provide earplugs. I didn't even hear the train but, my partner did. All and all a really nice spot at a good price.

Cool, hip old style motel that was remodeled. Rooms were simple, but had cool decor and very clean. Not a lot right next to it, but very walkable to downtown. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again next time in Bellingham!

Comfortable rooms and beds, nice amenities in the lobby and yard for outdoor space and they were very accommodating with providing French press coffee for my very early departure.

It was nice that they had coffee ready by 6:00am each morning with breakfast treats. We also enjoyed sitting in the HUB and playing cards with a deck they had available for guests.

A very clean and comfortable stay with fun decor, a good bed and shower, plenty of space and super easy parking. The hotel is in a neighborhood and you can definitely hear some road noise but it did not bother us too much. Free coffee and pastries are pretty basic, nothing special. I’d skip it in favor of far better options in town.

Lots of hype about this hotel. Granted it nicely renovated in a retro style. However the breakfast was over promoted and I was crestfallen. Sugary bakery products in a plastic bag that looked like they came out of a vending machine. Fresh fruit in a bowl was an apple or orange. We grabbed a coffee and left.

Easy check in, clean room, spacious rooms, and a comfy bed. I love the restored Motel vibe. Close to many things in Bellingham including some great breweries. The coffee in the morning is great. Dog friendly is a plus!

Wonderful stay! Staff was very friendly and informative, location and price were great. Room was clean and very comfy, and a perfect place with our pup. Will definitely stay here again.

The room was just right… clean, great bedding, nice towels and quiet. And the great addition was sheers added to the black out curtains… on a previous stay I had spoken with the staff about how nice the sheers could be… AND voila…, they have appeared. Great upgrade!! Thank you. B.C.

I had a great stay at the Heliotrope Hotel. The front desk staff was amazing—they were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and made it clear they cared about making my stay enjoyable. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location for exploring Bellingham. I appreciated how easy everything was, from check-in to check-out. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
