This trip was all about me. Vaca for one. I chose this spot specifically for seclusion. This was my first trip alone no kids no husband just me so I was looking for quiet. This place was exactly what I wanted. Hidden away and small but still with a lot to offer. My check person was super friendly and also very helpful. My room was very nice. Super comfy bed but I picked it because it had a huge balcony overlooking the river. Beautiful in the evenings at sunset. It also has a restaurant/bar which sadly I never made it to due to being sick partial time but from my balcony they have a huge patio overlooking river as well. Next time for sure. The pool was also a major factor into a place chosen for me. It’s what I was looking for. Never busy. Just a lot of quiet areas for me to be alone and read. It’s located in round rock but I got into Austin quite fast both days I ventured out. I’m glad I found it I do plan on going back. Thank you for an awesome first mom getaway.

Property was too much money for what you get. Rooms were very small, there was an event going on the same night that we arrived so parking and bar services were limited and the pool was closed for the event. Furthermore, the bar does not allow you to take drinks back to your room. But they have beers for sale in the room which makes no sense at all. Finally, the room, beds, and bathroom space was very small. The beds appeared to be full size and not queens. And just the space overall for 3 people was not ideal. The view was nice, but not worth the cost and overall experience.

Furthermore, the bar does not allow you to take drinks back to your room. But they have beers for sale in the room which makes no sense at all. I stayed in one of the corner suites which was very lovely. Everything was really nicely appointed with great decor. Sheets were very nice and comfortable. The restaurant bar serves great food and drinks. And each night I was there they had live music which was great. Also all the front desk receptionists were very nice and helpful. The gym was clean and well equipped with everything you might need and the pool was nice and refreshing. My only complaint was that the shower never got completely hot and it took a very long time to warm up. I said something the first night and they sent someone to fix it. That improved the water pressure (which had also been low) but the temp continued to be only a notch or two above lukewarm.

This is a cute, slightly offbeat hotel - very lovely setting amidst beautiful trees and abutting Brushy Creek. Room was clean and comfortable, but a few things worth mentioning - the Nespresso machine didn't work in the room, there really is no desk space appropriate to work on, the room thermostat has a super bright green laser light which is very annoying at night, the bathroom while nicely appointed has inadequate lighting with which to easily shave, and I felt "hounded" or "scolded" by all the "rules" - i.e. no outside beverages in the pool area or property "per TABC rules", "quiet hours", no smoking except in designated area (which was not marked), etc. - none of these are a big deal but a little subtlety would have gone a long way. The bartenders at The Ruby Bar are excellent, all the staff very friendly, the snacks ordered while in the bar were tasty, and we had a surprisingly temperate evening weather-wise one night which made for an exceptionally pleasant time by the pool. The bathroom was large and shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

We found this quaint little boutique hotel to be very romantic. It was too cold to enjoy the pool but the small on-site bar and grill made up for it with the midcentury modern decor and the live jazz music. A perfect weekend getaway spot for couples.

When we first got there the gentleman at the front desk was curt and off putting via is tone of voice and his general body language. The room was a nice but it smelled musty and like paint as soon as we walked in. The bathroom had numerous issues; ceiling had a repair that was clearly not hidden and the shower leaked heavily and the sink was still dirty from the last guest pink toothpaste was still on the sink and floor when we arrived. The view was nice from at balcony area. The walls were extremely thin think of motel 6 thin. The bed was comfortable but lacked quality sheets and the fabric clearly was overused.

The property was fabulous, the food was great, staff was lovely. It smelled as though the room had been recently painted and it smelled very strong. There’s also a bright light on the thermostat that kept me awake. I’d recommend this hotel and I’d stay here again but I’d ask about fresh paint and expect to have to cover the light.

No elevator to bring luggage upstairs, dirty cup in room, patio door lock was broken, bugs were swarming the patio, shower didn't get hot enough to take a shower. Not a good experience and definitely didn't feel like a 4 star hotel. Will not be back.

We were moved from one dirty room to another before cancelling our reservation with the property. No one, including the General Manager, apologized to us for our experience. There was hair in the bed and a big yellow stain on the top sheet in the first room, followed by brown stains and even more hair (under the fitted sheet and on top) in the next room. It was a disgusting experience and we'll never book with this hotel again. Zero customer service and a terrible experience, especially for the price.

We had an excellent stay at the Ruby! My best friend from college met me there for the weekend, and it couldn’t have been a better place to do a girls weekend. It’s a precious little hotel and property, the staff is excellent, The rooms are really cute and the beds are comfy!! The pool is also really nice (although small and somewhat limited seating), but this didn’t cause us a problem. Our balcony overlooking brushy Creek was, amazing and such a nice little place to sit and visit and enjoy the natural scenery for a change. It also has a beautiful little bar, where I had a yummy jalapeño infused margarita, one of the spicier ones I’ve had. They also serve some nice meals, although we did not eat there during our stay. The hotel is easily within walking distance to the town square, about six or seven blocks, where we got some delicious donuts at Round Rock Donuts, and found a nice little coffee shop, hit a few boutiques, and then an Italian restaurant for lunch. It couldn’t have been a nicer weekend!

Super cute and great location. Everyone is super friendly and the old fashioned at the bar is amazing. A little tight for a family in double beds the rooms are small and there is little storage or counter space so pack lightly! I would recommend this more for couples. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would stay here again.

Views were amazing but my old back did not get a wink of sleep, the beds were super hard. While the views and location were great, I’m almost 50 and need a good nights rest. Will not be a return customer.

It’s a cute place. Not the normal holiday inn. Just remember that the thermostat on the wall is just for looks. It doesn’t actually work. Thank goodness there was a table fan in the room.

Very nice staff and very clean. Rooms very basic and nothing fancy if that’s what you’re accustomed to. Situated within a neighborhood which was kind of random. Could see the river but thickly overgrown area between hotel and river. Good parking.

Everyone was super friendly. Noise woke us up one night, sounded like a group of people were right out our door but we think they were in the parking lot. Also, the room set up is a little odd. There is a very large window in the shower that looks into the bedroom. The sink faucet was broke on one of the sinks.

I loved the view from our balcony getting to watch the egrets and ducks. The room had an aesthetic that was pleasing and original. I liked the bench with the table for extra seating. I liked the fluffy pillows. The mattress was not comfortable though and caused my husband a backache.

Service is Superb here! Check-in was amazing. The guy should receive an award for going above and beyond to make you feel like a vip. His name was Kyle. Restaurant and Bar had great service with yummy cosmos.

Needed a one night stay for business and this little jewel of a hotel was a bonus surprise! I picked it because it was close to my client. We ended up having our meeting on the patio at the Ruby Bar which was perfect! The service was top notch in all areas. Comfortable room with everything you need. I would go back just for a mini vacay and will definitely stay again!

Completely unresponsive by text (their preferred mode of communication) or by telephone. Don’t expect to receive assistance after you check in. A shame because the property and rooms are nice. Management response to no response was a lackluster apology. An obvious problem given it happened 2 days in a row

I arrived at 1230a, exhausted from a late day of travel. The front lobby was locked up and dark. I called the main number and it promoted me to “text this number for after hour check in”. I texted over and over for 45 minutes and nobody answered. I ended up getting a room nearby. When I woke up, there was still no reply and they haven’t replied still. What kind of horrible place is this?!?

This properties at an excellent location. The property design and facilities are nice. The properties a bit dated. The hot water failed so we’re unable to take hot showers. The facility was unresponsive and dealing with this issue, and they still have not responded to my request for conversations with management

No elevators to get to the upper floor. You have to carry all of your luggage up and down. Limited front desk hours. No personal touch. Everything has to be thru rext messages.

From our entry to exit, our stay was absolutely fabulous. Each person we encountered, from the front desk to the bar/wait staff, were friendly and aimed to please. My only regret was only staying one night. The food, decor, blackout curtains and vintage aesthetic acted as a reset button to today's fast paced way of living. We will recommend and we will definitely return!

We liked that it was quiet and peaceful. The area was in a neighborhood away from busy streets, like being in the country. Comfortable beds and pillows and a cold air conditioner! Highly recommend for a quiet weekend getaway. Plus, the famous Round Rock donut shop only a couple of blocks away!! 😋

Very happy we chose to stay at The Ruby and not in a hotel in Austin. It was amazing to be right on the creek and watching nature doing its thing everyday. Quiet neighbourhood to walk and run around. We aren’t City people so enjoyed the mid century vibes and more rural location of this hotel, yet it had a cool little town and Austin was only a 20 minute drive. A super chill and cool stay.

When you stay it is absolutely amazing. The staff are super friendly and the check in process was ok. But overall this place is amazing. If I could give 10 stars I definitely would. 2 blocks away from downtown round rock.

We had a gymnastics meet at Kalahari but didn’t want to stay there so I found this hidden gem 5 minutes away and it was the cutest little getaway. Very clean, decorated so cute and the history behind the place was intriguing. My girls loved the cows coming to drink the water right outside the balcony and just the serenity of being outside. It was so close to everything, just the perfect location! We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ruby! It’s such a quiet hotel with beautiful views of the river. The trees were changing color and we had so many good bird sightings! It’s in a quiet spot but super walkable to the little square and super close to hopping back on 35. We would for sure stay here again!

Such a perfect spot for the Georgetown/Round Rock/North Austin area. We love this hotel and will definitely return soon for another visit! The property is amazing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with clever design elements. We also loved the darling bar and kitchen. The service was amazing and the quality of the food and beverages is so good! Also, the hotel is within walking distance of several super-cute restaurants and bars/pubs. Overall, definitely a 5-Star experience!

Property was too much money for what you get. Rooms were very small, there was an event going on the same night that we arrived so parking and bar services were limited and the pool was closed for the event. Furthermore, the bar does not allow you to take drinks back to your room. But they have beers for sale in the room which makes no sense at all. Finally, the room, beds, and bathroom space was very small. The beds appeared to be full size and not queens. And just the space overall for 3 people was not ideal. The view was nice, but not worth the cost and overall experience.

I loved the aesthetics of the room, the bed was cozy, the patio/balcony overlooking the creek was perfect for morning coffee from the Nespresso maker. I went to the onsite restaurant/bar on Friday evening and they had an excellent happy hour with craft cocktails, a harpist/singer with drummer, and I had one of the salads for my entree. It was cute and I can’t wait to arrange a trip back with my girlfriends and a staycation for my parents who live nearby.

This is a cute, slightly offbeat hotel - very lovely setting amidst beautiful trees and abutting Brushy Creek. Room was clean and comfortable, but a few things worth mentioning - the Nespresso machine didn't work in the room, there really is no desk space appropriate to work on, the room thermostat has a super bright green laser light which is very annoying at night, the bathroom while nicely appointed has inadequate lighting with which to easily shave, and I felt "hounded" or "scolded" by all the "rules" - i.e. no outside beverages in the pool area or property "per TABC rules", "quiet hours", no smoking except in designated area (which was not marked), etc. - none of these are a big deal but a little subtlety would have gone a long way. The bartenders at The Ruby Bar are excellent, all the staff very friendly, the snacks ordered while in the bar were tasty, and we had a surprisingly temperate evening weather-wise one night which made for an exceptionally pleasant time by the pool. The bathroom was large and shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

We found this quaint little boutique hotel to be very romantic. It was too cold to enjoy the pool but the small on-site bar and grill made up for it with the midcentury modern decor and the live jazz music. A perfect weekend getaway spot for couples.

Great stay with the Ruby - all the staff were helpful and very nice. Rooms are well styled and well kept. Fabulous peaceful views of the river with lots of bright natural light :) Bar onsite is great for a drink and hangout - nice live music as well

This was just a rest stop on a road trip, so we only stayed one night, but we absolutely loved it. The staff were very nice and helpful, and our room was so cute. We really loved the balcony and the view. I will absolutely stay here again!

This is a fantastic boutique hotel. My room was beautiful, with a private balcony overlooking the creek. I watched turtles swimming in the water and listened to the birds. There is a very nice pool where I sat in the shallow end and read a book, and the hotel bar and restaurant had great food. I didn’t have to leave the property for anything. I’d definitely return.

The only thing I enjoyed about the room was the bed/pillows. Please work on the upkeep of the rooms. I had a 8lb Chihuahua and because of this I was subjected to stay on the bottom floor and couldn't see the creek. The neighbors upstairs stomped around all night and early in the morning! Please be very transparent about the "special" accommodations that are made for people with pets BEFORE the room is booked! What an absolute waste of money and time.
