Looks older from outside. No lobby or amenities if you want those options. But the inside of room are brand new. No smell, very clean. No one loitering in parking lot, Perfect for a stay over on way to our cruise. Got there at 10. Prompt response for check in. No option for late check out. 1 mile to dispensary. Overall great for easy in and out for cruise. 20$ Uber ride from there to terminal, maybe 10 min ( until you hit port traffic

Staff very helpful. Even set up taxi for us to cruise ship for next day and suggested restaurants for dinner and breakfast. We also took advantage of being able to park our car here while on our cruise for $10 per day charge.

Was worried about parking, but on a Saturday night it wasn’t an issue. Lots of restaurants nearby. It’s an older hotel but they’ve done about as well as you can do with it. The male owner/manager was amazing. Gave us great insights on the area & things to do. Super nice guy! Gave me three bottles of waters cause the vending machine was down.

Catching a ferry to hike across Catalina the next morning. Motel was very clean. I upgraded to a King bed pleasantly suprised to see a Keurig coffee maker. They had free parking and also paid parking while I was in Catalina. Staff was awesome!

Seems like a family run hotel. Very convenient to San Pedro port. Allowed extended parking while on cruise at very reasonable rate.

Easy access and clean is important to us. Unfortunately no elevator, but once the bags were upstairs it wasn't a problem. The pillows were less then ideal.

This is an old-fashioned style motel with parking in front. I was able to check in several hours before the official hour for which I was very grateful. My room has been completely updated and feels very contemporary. The AC and heater combo is quite noisy. No breakfast. I was told there’s a good café two block south. My room has a medium size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. No lobby. At registration I talked through a window with tinting glass. The glass was dark so I could not see the clerk at all. It was like I was talking to a black wall. The clerk was friendly and efficient. Parking lot was restriped with fresh paint today and looks very pristine. My door has multiple levels of locks, but only one really works. It seems good enough, but it’s puzzling why the old locks are still in place. My room is clean and tidy, but the floor threshold between my room and the outdoor space is very dirty. The city bus #950 stops very near the hotel.

This place is very close to the cruise port which was nice but the beds were hard as a rock. The bed and bathroom was clean but the tile floors were very dirty based on the blackness on our bare feet from walking a very tiny amount. They were nice enough to accommodate us after normal check in hours.

There is no face-to-face interaction there is a dark tinted glass where you have to speak through a hole to talk to the person you are checking in with. When you get into the room it looks like they have painted over the Dirty miss. The smell of tobacco and mold mold was sleeping through their supposedly new pink job. Member of my family could not stand the smell and threw up. The bathroom grout was black to hide The mold it had in the shower. To say we did not use the shower at all.

I stayed here for one night prior to a cruise. Price was right. The bed wasn't that comfortable unless you like really firm beds. The shower was gross. There was black mold on both of the shower curtains and I just couldn't stomach that. Thankfully we showered before we left and were just there overnight.

I liked the laminate floors in the room - NO filthy carpet that many motels have. The wall heater/air conditioner was blowing clean air - NO musty, dusty air coming through the unit that many motel rooms have.

Older hotel but very clean and very impressed with updated roomy shower. Customer service was excellent secured luggage due to early arrival, suggested food options. Walkable area was very quiet during week. Air conditioner was very loud so had to constantly adjust tv volume.

The location was good for the cruise terminal. Room was basic but reasonably priced. The main issue was with the heater/aircon which was loud and kept turning off and on during the night.

Overall we were pleased with our stay at this hotel. We got a room with 3 beds and it fit our group of 5 very well. The room was clean and neat. The beds were a little hard but for one night it was nice.

Property looks rundown from the outside but the rooms were renovated very well. Staff were helpful and felt safe. Beds were comfortable and spacious rooms. AC worked well. Big plus for Microwave and Refrigerator. We would stay here again for future trips. There’s a grocery store right across the street. Neighborhood is relatively quiet and safe.

The staff were amazing. Very helpful and very kind. They are trying to spruce up some rooms but they have more work to do. Our shower was terrible. Absolutely no water pressure at all. The curtains don't close all the way so you get blinded with light while you're sleeping.

the room was clean, no carpets, bare bones. I couldn't figure out the air conditioner, it seemed backwards to the normal way to turn heat on and air on. bed was under the curtain, which was a strange way to sleep with curtains on your head. it's ok for a quick overnight, not for long term stay.

We picked this location because it was near our cruise port. The stay was fine. Nothing write home about. Although we did love that it was walking distance to the charming downtown area. The room is recently updated and property is well kept. The bed was too firm for my liking. The door was not sealed. I could hear all the traffic, other guests coming and going and all their conversations. You could also smell cigarette and web smoke from other guest on the balcony even thought all the windows and doors were closed.

These people could not be more helpful. Great service, super clean room that had been completely renovated. Sam offered suggestions as to site seeing without being ask and took my luggage up stairs for me without being ask! Suggested a cafe for lunch which was within walking distance that was great. Offered to call taxi the morning of my cruise with a price that was the same as Uber.

Excellent front desk. Super helpful with dinner and transportation recommendations. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Quiet. Great stay for the night before our cruise. We would stay again!

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. The good was we were able to do an early check in and the front desk lady gave us a room not right next to Pacific Ave (a very busy street). The bad was that the pillows were very poor (stained and torn, picture attached). We were also woken up at 12:03 am by multiple gun fire in the neighborhood and then again at 5:30 am by more gun fire. The ugly is that we decided to check out the next morning instead of staying an additional night and informed the desk person at 9:00 am about this. She said she would contact Hotels.com and credit the second evening. When Hotels.com contacted her (at my request), she refused to credit the second evening. We would never consider staying here again.

Check-in was quick and easy, after we figured out where the check-in was. There is no phone in the room, so when I had a question about the tv, I had to go to the desk and he was kind enough to come to the room and show us how it works. Also reserved us a taxi to the cruise port for the next morning. Will stay here again when cruising.

Very clean very pleasant very helpful staff the area is a little sketchy though. You certainly wouldn’t wanna be walking around at night.

This hotel is not fancy, but it was perfect for a one night stay before our cruise. It looks a little rough as you come to it but our room was clean and comfortable and had been updated. The bed was comfortable. The person who checked us in was super helpful and suggested places to eat and explore. We did take public transportation (J line) and then walked about 50 feet to the hotel. And the cruise terminal is about 1 mile (mostly downhill) and easily walkable as well.

Clean, comfortable.located good for sightseeing but on a noisy busy street. Quiet for sleeping from 10 until 7. Close to cruise terminal and waterfront.

This is the perfect place to stay before a cruise. Clean and comfy, but not elaborate. We enjoyed walking 5th, 6th and 7th streets and found a couple of excellent restaurants nearby. Sam, the owner is extremely friendly and a wealth of info if you’re looking for it. We felt safe walking from dawn to dusk and would definitely stay there again.

Price was good and the rooms were faultlessly clean. Surrounding area is a bit rough but it's walking distance to good restaurants.

Liked that it was close to the cruise terminal and reasonably priced. Not the best area nor a very nice place but for one night OK. There was a biker bar 1/2 block away and when they raced their engine it was very loud. Nice owners on property.

We picked this location because it was near our cruise port. The stay was fine. Nothing write home about. Although we did love that it was walking distance to the charming downtown area. The room is recently updated and property is well kept. The bed was too firm for my liking. The door was not sealed. I could hear all the traffic, other guests coming and going and all their conversations. You could also smell cigarette and web smoke from other guest on the balcony even thought all the windows and doors were closed.

This is a bare bones motel, but it had everything we needed--microwave, fridge, hot shower, free parking, free internet. We walked to an outstanding fish and chips restaurant that had the best French fries , but also had salads and other foods. We were in walking distance of several other restaurants, too. The price for what we got was amazing. We will probably stay there again when we go on a cruise. The office staffwas so nice to help me print an important paper, too.

Was worried about parking, but on a Saturday night it wasn’t an issue. Lots of restaurants nearby. It’s an older hotel but they’ve done about as well as you can do with it. The male owner/manager was amazing. Gave us great insights on the area & things to do. Super nice guy! Gave me three bottles of waters cause the vending machine was down.

Nice enough place. Older property, fairly recently remodeled. Comfortable and convenient to the cruise port. Restaurants within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Great 1 night stay before a cruise! Check in staff was super helpful and stored our luggage prior to check in so we could explore the area and find a place to eat. Great restaurant options within walking distance and also a Family Dollar nearby for things we forgot to pack lol. Room was very clean and bathroom shower was nicely renovated. Super convenient to the cruise port-we were able to walk easily there.

The property itself is in a perfect position for, like we were, joining a cruise. The immediate area is not terribly nice but we had no safety issues. The manager and staff were excellent

Good option to stay before a cruise. Older, simple property but was pretty well redone. Cleanliness could use a little work, but nothing that bothered us. Would stay again. There was a taco stand that sets up on the sidewalk in front of the hotel that had great asada and pastor.

The staff was awesome! Wish the swimming was still functional. Location was great for catching the cruise ship. Chairs in our room weren't built for large people, so they weren't very comfortable. There weren't any amenities. No ice, no breakfast, no pool, etc. There were quite a few restaurants within walking distance.

It was clean, safe, and conveniently located to a grocery store and several restaurants and cafes. It was also only a few minutes drive to the cruise ports. What more do you need when you’re just there for a single night before heading to a cruise terminal? My only real complaint is that the air conditioner was pretty weak and did not keep the room cool in the day/evening. By middle of the night it finally would get the room feeling chilled.
