We loved our kitchenette. It was nice a clean and large.When I first entered the room you can smell the bleach. Which was fine by me. The two things we didn't care for was the smelling of Marijuana. The smell was in hallways and came in our unit. The other problem we had was the people constantly dropping the weights on the floor in the gym.

The apartment was nice and comfortable. Unfortunately you can hear every si gle noise in the building. They gym at the second floor is open 24hrs and we were wake-up sometimes at 5am from people dropping the weights. The buildings had some construction going on and the whole apartment rumble the whole time. Workers starting sometimes at 7:30 am.

Room was clean and nice with a nice balcony. Our room was next to the fitness center that opens at 7am so we can hear and feel all the weight banging early morning. Room didn’t have enough toilet paper or trash bags to be used during our stay so we have to buy toilet paper ourselves, the parking you have to pay every night if not going out $20 or else $10 each time you would come in and out.

The suite itself was good and the gym facility. The area is very unsafe I parked my car on the street due to being charged a fee every time I entered and left the property garage which they did not specify. My car got broken into, smashed my back window. Never again.

Early check in was not an option which was unfortunate because the baseball game we were planning on going to that day got postponed. When we arrived we wanted to at least park so we could Uber somewhere while we waited for 4pm check in. The parking was valet and no in and out. (The positive thing was that it was cheaper than advertised, around 50$ for two nights. That was reasonable) Instead we went to the Bronx brewery and drank a few beers while we waited. When we got to the hotel the code to access the hotel worked but the one provided for the room did not. The customer service never answered the phone but would call you back 20 minutes later to help. The actual room was in disrepair and had repair work needed to be done. I.e. the blinds that would open to show the city view fell off the roll and was forced up by a hand towel. Didn't feel safe to walk at night to any near by restaurants. Door dash couldn't find the hotel to deliver until the second attempt. For the price I paid I was let down.

Everything with the hotel was perfect except for the elevator, the hotel is pet friendly, and the pets have obviously turned the elevator into their personal bathroom and it smells and wet of dog pee so someone should definitely take care of that, I’d stay again but that elevator needs a deep clean.

Great facility and clean and welcoming atmosphere… The parking could be better by allowing direct access for all from the garage to the building. I loved having the cafe downstairs, the people were personable and welcoming and the venue was cozy. Also the saxophonist was AMAZING !

Room was clean but heavy odor of smoke upon entry. Room did not have balcony or appear close to size of pictures. Hallways smelled of smoke at night despite being a non-smoking property. I was told the “free” early check in and check out were the reason for my room downgrade. The stay and area are nice but also felt very misleading.

This property was by far the worst I’ve experience ever ! The headboard , pillows , walls were dirty and chipped . The balcony had trash , garbage and a used condom wrapper on the ground .The balcony also had cigarette butts everywhere when it clearly states “ non smoking property” I immediately called Expedia to try and get a refund by the property denied stating I could not receive a refund because I “ already checked in “ . I lasted all of 10 mins in the room taking videos and left the property immediately! I never stayed and lost out on over $700 .. My next stop is Yelp to also write my experience at this property. The unwillingness to refund my money or even be logical to see the photos and videos in the room shows the integrity of the people running this property . I’ve stayed in motels cleaner than this property was !!!

Unfortunately the hotel room did not match description. Booked it for two nights, but from how disgusted we were only stayed there for one. The bedsheets seemed clean and water pressure was nice, but other than that I did not enjoy my stay. The silicon in the shower was moldy, the bed frame was dirty and gross, the room had a smell when we came into it, side lamps were dirty and so on. They have no front desk staff. And the stay is non-refundable even if you get their insurance like I did:( better to pay the extra $200 and stay somewhere where you will enjoy your trip.

Property very close to trains and the highway. That is the only good thing. Says its a smoke free property but the whole place smells of smoke. I switched rooms 3x and all had smoke residue and cigarette butts that hadnt been cleaned. 2 rooms the linens were dirty and the pillows were beginning to turn brown. You tell they dont sweep or mop or dust. They would not give a refund and would not send someone to clean the room properly. I sent photos of the trash, mold growing on the wall, light fixture wiring hanging above the bed and still no one even bothered to call me back. To be one of the most expensive per night and have the name luxury they are a scam. Definitely would not recommend. Their photos have been edited. Sooo disappointing

What I didn’t like was that I got the room with the porch. Those face a storage facility with floodlights, and there are no curtains, only screens that don’t block light. My sleep was terrible, looked like daylight the entire time. Other than that the place is great! But go for a regular room, avoid facing west

Easy to access the building & unit with the emailed instructions. Unit was pretty clean, minus some mold in the bathroom. AC worked great & additions like plates & cutlery, a larger than standard mini fridge, multiple trash cans, extra towels made our stay more comfortable. Sheets were clean but in the rougher side. They provide plenty of pillows. The room is bright, even with all the blinds closed, so I’d recommend packing a sleep mask. I upgraded to include a balcony & that was a real disappointment. There were broken & missing tiles that made it a safety hazard.

I stayed for about four days when we entered the room our code would not work so we had to call maintenance. Thankfully, it did not take two hours I’m not too sure why other people reviewed this place in the sense of they lack communication. You just have to also remember the time difference. The rooms are really spacious. Our only complaint I would say is that the shower could use a longer door so the water doesn’t splash out along with the shades in the room needs to be upgraded because they’re falling apart. But all in all as someone who works in a hotel, this was a very nice stay. And my partner and I look forward to staying here again once we’re back in New York.

Honestly I booked without doing deep research, was nervous after the fact but went thru with it. We stayed three nights, had no problems checking in our code worked every time, it was very clean and spacious. Clean towels and a little bag of toiletries were included. We felt safe the doors were locked to the lobby unless you had a code. Our room looked just like pictures! Easy commute to the city. Definitely would stay here again.

We spent 5 nights at this location. Upon arriving we saw that one of the window blinds was broken and we had to use a fix to cover the window. Also the sofa leg was broken and the bathroom faucet was loose.

Rooms are smaller than they appear in the photos. Booked a say for 2 night and half the time the WiFi wasn’t working. The refrigerator is extremely small, no ice machine and no complimentary water. The stay was for me and my husband and they only gave us one set of towels to shower. Even after a few called to get more we still had to wait till mid day the next day for them to show up. For what they charge it was a horrible stay

The hotel has a number of issues from leeks in the halls, the faucets are not installed correctly causing mold issues. But worst is the lack of communication, unprofessional and hostile environment created by staff. Like having a man, that is not in a uniform, or even having a name tag on knock on your door and demand payment. To canceling reservations with no notice. Are just two of the many issues.

Extremely Frustrating Experience – Worst Customer Service Ever I had a terrible experience booking this hotel. From the start, I was asked to resubmit pictures of my ID and credit card multiple times, even though I had already submitted them. This endless cycle of resubmission was frustrating. Despite my payment being processed a week before our reservation, I was still asked for more documents due to a “billing issue.” I couldn’t understand how they took my payment but then claimed a billing issue. When we arrived, we couldn’t access our room because of the same “billing issue.” After 30 minutes of waiting at the front desk, we were told to leave and received a call and text saying we couldn’t stay. When I called for a refund, a representative (Sean or John) told me a refund wasn’t guaranteed, even though we had already been kicked out. I am still waiting for my refund, and I won’t stop until I get it due to their lack of communication. The address on my license didn’t match the billing address because I had just moved. They didn’t seem to understand this simple explanation. This has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I travel often. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and clearly didn’t know how to handle any situation. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid it at all costs.

This is a trap no customer service room in terrible condition. No front desk.. Not safe to walk outside at night only the bottom three floors are rentable and there’s no service to change sheets or anything no replacement of toilet paper. The toilet seat was broken and seen after four days to be fixed only only to find out that it could not be fixed. The faucet on the sink was rattling the door would not close, the bathroom, the air conditioner rattled when it was turned on the lights from the Jason building would shine in through the translucent curtains that we had there was no service again. There was no shower because the handle was broken. There was loud noise, playing music and the people in the building didn’t seem like they were weak renters like they live there They moved us after four days of complaining to a room that was slightly better service. We would not recommend this hotel for anybody

Do not stay here. No staff on site, you call an 800 number when you need assistance… then wait on hold… it would have been ok if i didn’t have to call them every time i used the passcode on my door… it never worked twice in a row… I got two rooms and the door codes didn’t work for either, multiple times. Very upset… awful communication.

I didn't like tge fact that there are no one live to talk to, and gwt assistance from. You have to be on the ohone for hours before you can get any kind of assistance. I couldn't figure out hiw to get into the building and didn't kniw where my room was, until i made several calls for help, and the number they have on the door wasn't any use to me. I had ti google The Archer online, to get the right number dor assistance, and the 45 minutes later i finally gotten someone who finally helped me. Iw wasn't the only one there with the same issues...

Well we didn’t get to stay because the confirmation email had no room number or code to get in the door, due to there being no front desk and customer service 24/7 line isn’t 24/7 nobody ever answered to help us! Excellent and affordable. Just over the river from Harlem. Close to the subway. It is close to the highway but it didn’t bother me. Blackout curtains would have been nice.

Loved our stay at the Arches. There are restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance, as well as a subway stop. The parking garage is staffed 24/7. The apartment was extremely spacious and bright, the bathroom had a tub. It was absolutely perfect for a family. We did have issues with a family hanging out in the hallway after midnight for a looong time, they were very loud. But that’s not due to the property itself.

The property itself is excellent, new and clean. The area around the property is a little sketchy at night, but the good thing is, subway stations are only a 10 min walk at most, so transportation is fairly convenient.

Despite some negative reviews, our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was significantly less than anything in Manhattan, and with two subway stations nearby, access to midtown was a very reasonable 20-30 minute commute.

Not the best location if you’re unfamiliar. I grew up in the area but I thought we were staying in the actually building with concierge. A homeless woman was roaming the floor and I went back in my room for 30 mins just to make sure she was gone.

The suite itself was good and the gym facility. The area is very unsafe I parked my car on the street due to being charged a fee every time I entered and left the property garage which they did not specify. My car got broken into, smashed my back window. Never again.

Worst stay ever. The surroundings were terrible. This is definitely not a place for any tourist to stay. The location is between trains and highway conjunction. The apartment was ok except for the noise from AC. I stayed one night instead of the five I had booked. Hotels.com should not promote such a place on their website.

Amazing location for shopping. This hotel has so many fun activities for the family to enjoy together. The basketball court near the bar was a wonderful bonus!! I highly recommend this property ❤️

Great facility and clean and welcoming atmosphere… The parking could be better by allowing direct access for all from the garage to the building. I loved having the cafe downstairs, the people were personable and welcoming and the venue was cozy. Also the saxophonist was AMAZING !

My experience was OK for the most part. Bedding, room, bathroom were clean. Adequate amount of supplies provided for a comfy stay. However, the room needed lots of repairs. The main wall had some kind of paint in one section, that was dirty looking, the bathroom sink knob was loose, paint was chipped in certain places throughout the room and the balcony door had a small crack along with a paper torn blind. The NO SMOKING policy isn’t followed 100% hallways and elevator smelled like weed at times. Oh, I forgot to mention the fridge didn’t have shelves.
