The room was clean. Breakfast was average. We didn’t have pets but the neighbors did and the dogs barked a lot. Laundry facilities were out of service and it was inconvenient to have to find a laundry mat. We came in on a motorcycle and luggage was limited so we booked a room with laundry facilities. It was a great hub to travel out to see the Smoky Mountains!

There was a sign posted on the door that went to the pool that stated it was a smoke free facility. There was a table with several adults that were smoking, so we were not able to use the pool due to the smokers.

Not a good experience. The room was clean but heat/ac was loud and hard to find comfortable temperature. Drink machine was broken. Elevator was out of order. My room was on the 4th floor. Not a good value for me.

The room was clean bathroom very nice plenty of towels good bed and pillows. Air conditioning was very good no loud condenser noise steady cold very well. Breakfast was good hot coffee sausage eggs bagels cereal. Wi-Fi was OK no problems. Nice pool. If in the area we will stay at the same place again.

No coffee Friday night (at check-in) OR Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. No ice machine (one on third floor is the only one and it wasn’t working). Facility was incredibly noisy both Friday and Saturday night. No do not disturb signs, room was not cleaned and we had to request towels at 6 p.m. on Saturday. We stayed there Feb 6th last year and the place (and service) was immaculate! So surprised what a difference one year made!

The hotel is very convenient to WCU, so it was a great lpcation for move-in weekend, but our room smelled horribly like mildew. I alerted the front desk to the issue as we were heading out to move my daughter into her dorm. When we returned to the room, the smell was still awful, but it was late evening and we were exhausted, so we just went to bed. (I'm pretty sure they were sold out at that point, so I doubt they could have switched our room for another.) There was also no parking available when we came back for the night so we, like several others, had to park in areas that weren't actual parking spaces.

The elevator wasn’t working when we got there and we were in the 4th floor. Heat didn’t work in our room. Also property didn’t specify we would be charged a nightly fee four our dog, found that out during check in. We will not stay here again.

This was our 8th time staying at this property thru the years because it is pet friendly and we like it. This time it was not a good experience. The smell of pot wreaked on our hallway for the whole 3 days we were there. The auto door closer is broken on 2nd floor exit door and we heard the door slam all hours of the night and morning. The public bathroom was not cleaned the whole time we were there. The lobby area was clean and the pool was great. I'm sorry but I would not recommend this place to any of my friends.

The manager in the morning, hat and beard, was the best thing about this hotel, very kind. The rest was ridiculous. I paid over $400 and drove 13 hours only to get to a dirty room, dirty rags, pee on floor, hair all over, smelled like rot, then we open a towel and a cockroach had been wrapped up in it. They did kindly offer a new room but it smelled like mildew and beds were super old, with stains on bedding that I had to ask to change. I never complain about anything or leave a bad review, I think it’s usually unkind to do so but this needed to be said.

Once the overwhelming smell of air freshener faded, the odor of pet urine was literally intolerable. The floor was so dirty, it was actually sticky, I suspect of pet urine spread all over the floor but not cleaned. I wiped the floor with a hand towel and it was so soiled after one sweep with my hand that it became black with much and I almost lost my stomach. It was a short stay and we weren't in the room much due to the filth so I did not complain until checkout.

This place has gone downhill. Breakfast was awful, they ran out of food. The room was dirty. Floors hadn’t been swept, stink bugs, dried food (I hope it was food) on the tv guide, nasty stuff on the wall/door jamb in bathroom. Just no where as good as previous stays.

Got there to find unattended front desk and a line to check in, one staff member showed up 15 minutes later. Room provided wasn’t properly made or cleaned so had to get another, and other couple had same issue checking in. Heard other guests complain about odd smell on 4th floor the last couple of days without resolution. Toilet and shower showed signs of poor cleaning line water line mark and hairs on shower walls.

The room smelled like urine and the floors were not cleaned. Lots of human hair on the floor in the bathroom and the floor in the room had crumbs. We needed a place last minute so we took what we could get. It served it's purpose but I would not walk around without shoes. Even the hallway floors were dirty. Looks like it hadn't been vacuumed all week.

The room was not very clean. We found trash under the beds and fuzz balls around the room. There was a couple of long hairs in the bathroom floor and short hairs around the inside of the tub as if someone had given their dog a bath. The refrigerator had been turned off or down to where the freezer section had defrosted and there was water dripping everywhere inside the refrigerator. They only served biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast. I was at least expecting some eggs. They did have a waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, etc. They were low on everything when we got there and had to wait on them to bring out some more breakfast items.

Nice location if you want to stay near Asheville but still have the Smokies nearby. We had a couple of issues with this stay, there was still hair all over the bathroom floor from the previous guests and there was (hopefully) chocolate or something still on one of the nightstands, so they obviously weren't too concerned with the cleaning aspect of our stay. Also, the girl working at the desk during the evenings was either on her phone or sitting in the lobby watching tv. Never looked at us or greeted us anytime we walked by. Went down to get towels, she never looked up from her phone. However, the girl checking us in was terrific, we arrived much earlier than normal check in and she was able to accommodate us, and the gentleman at checkout was super friendly as well. If they would do better on the cleaning this would have been a really great trip.

Check in went smoothly. Reviews looked good so I thought I’d try because priced lower than some other. Beds looked to have been cleaned, trash cans were empty, but carpet had obviously not been vacuumed nor bathroom floor had been swept. Walls are very thin. Heard neighboring guests late at night as well as dogs barking. Breakfast was stale bagels and hot foods were not replenished during mid morning. Good price but I’d rather pay a little more next time than stay here.

The tv has always been on the blink in the last 3 times we have stayed. My husband fiddled with the cord in back and got it to improve this last stay.... they offered to move us to another room but that is hard when you are already settled in for the night! We reported this problem with every stay.

My King bed in room 315 had an indent in the mattress that you could put 1/4 of a bowling ball in not to mention the footboard was higher than the headboard. No other kings available. Made service had to see it and report it. Was offered a double, but early in the am we could not take it anymore and left. Management knew of the problem and still rented the room, Money talks, Other than that, room and hotel was clean. Would stay again.

I never write reviews but I'm writing one for this stay... while in bed after an entirely sleepless night - the walls are SO thin. The only respite from constant sound was from about 1am-6am. I wish it was just partiers making noise late at night that I could say any hotel might struggle with, but I could literally hear every word of the conversation of the folks in the next room - and they weren't even shouting (AND I'm hearing impaired). I tried using white noise on my phone, but that couldn't drown out every door shut (or even opening!! I wish I'd brought WD-40!). Oh! And guest dogs started barking at 6am! This was a disaster of a stay, and I'm tired, but I guess grateful for shelter from the elements?

I will start by saying that for $470 for a two night stay the following issues should not have occurred at all. First of all the air conditioning unit had white/gray mold that was visible without even bending over to look at it carefully. we had no Internet service the entire stay. No ice machine available for visitors to use at their convenience. Had to take your ice bucket to the front desk and let the clerk go out of my sight to get a bucket of ice. I was not comfortable with that at all. The hotel was practically empty so why were we paying a premium price?? The aroma of weed blew us in the face when we took the elevator to our 4th floor room. It was coming up the elevator shaft and was continuous throughout our stay. Very disappointed with the entire experience. Not worth what we paid at all.

It appears that only one person is working at the hotel at a time. Front desk lady was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was not good. One guy doing front desk and breakfast. The hot plate food was sausage gravy and biscuits. The gravy was bone dry, and the whole time we sat there (about 20 mins), no person came in to put out new hot gravy. Had a waffle, but no real butter? Disappointing.

Overall a decent stay for a quick weekend trip. Room was clean, everything worked well. Staff were friendly, though front desk staff were frequently not there so would have to wait a few minutes for them. Would stay again

The hotel was nice enough however they appear to be understaffed. Also, the rooms had adjoining doors which would be convenient for kids adjoining a parent's room. However, we had some rather noisy neighbors and they were loud late at night and loud early in the morning. The connecting door did a poor job of dulling their sounds. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and the shower was clean and had good water strength.

we checked in on 11/8/25 the gentleman at the desk was the honest to goodness the nicest person i have ever met in my entire life . the room was clean and neat i couldn’t find one thing to complain about but what impressed me most was his friendliness i wished i could remember his name my son says it was junior im not sure but he was wonderful

The staff was amazing 😍. So friendly and willing to do anything to make you comfortable. Especially Kacey. They are lucky to have such a wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful person. She made me feel like my comfort during stay was really important.

This place was a great place to stay especially being pet friendly. I had my dog sitter back out at the last minute and the place I originally booked had no pet friendly rooms available. Stan an amazingly helpful employee helped me with booking a room on my app and making sure it was a pet friendly room after I had booked it. I will definitely be stay there when I come back to the area.

I love that we could stay here and we had a 15 minute drive to Cherokee and a 20 minute drive to Maggie Valley 20 minute drive to Bryson city. And we did not have to go over the mountain to get to any of these places

It's a nice location - only a few minutes from Sylva and about 10 from the WCU campus. Rooms were updated and clean. It's a good hotel for the price when compared to other options in the area.

This place has gone downhill. Breakfast was awful, they ran out of food. The room was dirty. Floors hadn’t been swept, stink bugs, dried food (I hope it was food) on the tv guide, nasty stuff on the wall/door jamb in bathroom. Just no where as good as previous stays.

It appears that only one person is working at the hotel at a time. Front desk lady was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was not good. One guy doing front desk and breakfast. The hot plate food was sausage gravy and biscuits. The gravy was bone dry, and the whole time we sat there (about 20 mins), no person came in to put out new hot gravy. Had a waffle, but no real butter? Disappointing.

The property was very nice, check in was quick and easy, and the employees were very nice and extremely helpful. The continental breakfast was pretty well stocked and had a decent offering. They had yogurts, baked goods, biscuits, sausage gravy, and fresh waffles. I was impressed they offered chia seeds as a yogurt/oatmeal topping. Overall, it was a great fantastic stay and I’d definitely stay there again.

While the hotel staff was helpful, breakfast was good, and overall the stay was pleasant, my complaint is cleanliness. While walking into the main floor, it smells and appears clean, but the hallways and rooms had an unpleasant odor. Thankfully we always bring febreeze with us, jic. Our room was supposed to be 2 queen's but were maybe 2 full size beds and the bedding had stains. We did request clean pillow cases because of makeup on a couple of the ones on our beds. The request was immediately obliged. The bathroom, this was more than just switching out unclean items. The sides of the toilet were not wiped down. There was hair and pinkish brown buildup around the base of the toilet. The shower.... they have shampoo and conditioner reusable bottles mounted to the wall which is usually a nice gesture, but again, hair and also mold on the bottles and fixture were less than inviting. Multiple cleanliness concerns makes you wonder what else is frequently neglected that isn't so obvious. Not feeling clean at a place you're sleeping is an uneasy experience. I would stay again if there weren't other options and again, the staff really did make it more pleasant. If our requests weren't met so quickly it would have made the overall experience much worse.

When we walked into the hotel it smelled so fresh. Everything was in order..neat and clean. We brought our dog so they put us in a dog room. As soon as we opened the door it wreaked of dog odor so bad. It still smelled awful the next morning. The toilet didn’t look like it was flushed in a week. Breakfast was very good. All in all it is a fantastic hotel but the dog rooms stink so bad. We paid $30 extra because of the dog but from the smell they aren’t disinfecting the rooms enough. A little bleach water will go a long way.
