The stay was good and very convenient location to access the gondola or to walk to restaurants. The check in was easy and the staff was very helpful. It is a good budget hotel/motel. Plenty of hot water for the showers. Our stay was for a family ski trip. I like that there was free parking as some of the other places charge 20+ dollars a day in parking.

Best place for me to stay to ski and save $$. walk across street to the Gondola. comfy bed. very clean. good parking. microwave and fridge in room. very friendly staff-super nice. shower head was a bit whacky and water got on floor from shower.

Location, location, location for the most reasonably priced, no frills basic accommodations, within a very short 1 block walking distance to the Heavenly Gondola, as the name of this place indicates is true. Friendly owner and manager. They will let you leave your vehicle parked after you check out on your last day if you are going our to ski or ride. If the Gondola is closed for wind during a storm you can take a shuttle to the California lodge or drive and park yourself on either Nevada (15 min) or California (5 min) base lodges of Heavenly. I've been staying here on average 5 ski trips per year for at least 15 years and a couple times in summer is an easy walk to the outdoor Harvey's concert venue.

The room was okay but the finishes were in dire need of repair. The floor separation from the bedroom to the sink area had flooring that was completely detached. This is an older property in need of repair/maintenance. Parking is also a potential issue as there are far more rooms than parking spots and on street parking is not available. But the staff and close proximity to the downtown area greatly make up for the motels short falls. My family will definitely keep this motel an option for our future trips to the area.

I like this place for its location right across from the gondola of the Heavenly Ski Resort. It’s also right next to shops and lots of cafes and restaurants, needless to say the casinos. The place is nice and clean with amenities. Parking is easy. Internet connection is fast. Most of all, the staff cares. For example, on my last stay, I left my ski gloves in the room. Two weeks later, on my current stay, they kept them. I got them back. I do not hesitate in booking this place.

Smell in the room. The sheets had hair on them. The sheets were yellowed. The Blanket had cigarette burns that appeared to have been painted over. We slept in our clothes and jackets so we wouldn’t have to lay on directly on the sheets.Cobwebs in the corners. Stains on the bathroom counter.Shower area was dark and dingy.

The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, the towels were stained or dirty, the shower floor was dirty, the shower curtain was orange at the bottom because it was so dirty, stains on my pillow case, stains in the carpet.

Bed linens had blood stains and other stains on them. The chairs in the room were the same way. Bugs crawling out of the drain in the shower. It is the Budget Inn, so we expected poor quality, but yeah. It’s a place to sleep for one night.

The owners are very sweet, the wife even told us about a Hozier concert that was going to happen near the hotel that same night. We were unaware of it and we are glad she told us. We got last minute discount tickets and attended that amazing concert! The place is not luxurious but it is clean, organized, and very cozy. It seems like the bathrooms were remodeled, they look nice. I’d go back to this hotel in the future.

The only good thing about this place is that it is right next to Heavenly gondola and the internet is fast. They advertise that it's quiet, but we had people on either side of us and above us and it was so loud. Also, the bathroom and shower were gross and they don't give you that many towels. The room itself also felt dirty. There were stains on my "clean" bedding. I'm glad I brought slippers because I did not want to touch the floor.

Nearly every piece if bedding on both beds were stained. The comforters and the decorative pillows were stained the most. The toilet paper that was on the roll was nearly empty but the first sheet was folded into a point so it looked "fancy" or clean. I was not comfortable using a mostly used roll of toilet paper. On the plus side, no bed bugs or noticeable bugs anywhere. The A/C worked well. Front desk staff was nice.

Good location within heavenly village. Walking distance to everything. When we arrived we noticed hair on the sheets. Contacted the front office and they provided us with clean sheets. Other than that the stay was pleasant. Would recommend and stay again.

Stayed here before and returned because it was comfortable and a great location. It’s still good but we checked in and tried to take a late shower and water was mildly warm. Didn’t report it because we thought it was a fluke. Stayed two night and on morning of check out tried for a shower but water was dead cold. Tried turning on the sink and shower to draw hot water but no chance. I’m sad because I liked this place. The manager acted like I was the first person to tell her this and said I should have called front desk. The timing didn’t work for complaints and we pretended we were camping instead and were so happy to return home to a warm shower. Bummer, as it really changed my feelings about this place and there’s too many other options to stay there again. Good management would have made it right by offering a slight discount on our next stay or anything to show they care.

No air conditioning. Fan was annoying and not user friendly. Couldn’t access wifi. We were beside the stairs which were noisy with guests checking in late. We had the window open since there was no AC. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly. The price was very reasonable compared to other properties.

Not hotel room but u a bad stay. Price was a little high for a typical hotel room but this is South Lake Tahoe. The place was a little small but is kept very clean. Shower and sink faucet water was slow to warm. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows if you don't like to sleep flat. Location is excellent next to shops also Harrah's and Caesars Republic Casinos are about 430 steps away on the sidewalk. I booked with Hotels.com for $208 for 2 nights. I may call the hotel directly the next time I stay there if I do not have comp stay at Harrah's.

It was clean and quiet but kinda outdated. I was disappointed that our room did not have Air conditioning. What we had was a fan attached to a wall pointed at the bed. This place would be great in the winter but I won’t come back in the summer.

The lady was really nice, fast check in. Wish I could have checked in earlier, wouldn't have minded paying a fee but the guy just yelled at me to come back at 3:00pm. Ended up going to a restaurant nearby to sit down and eat. Lots of shops and food spots nearby! The room was clean and spacious. There was a leak on the ceiling on the bathroom, that made an annoying noise at night. I was still able to sleep though. Check in and check out was smooth.

Ended up going to a restaurant nearby to sit down and eat. Lots of shops and food spots nearby! The room was clean and spacious. There was a leak on the ceiling on the bathroom, that made an annoying noise at night. I was still able to sleep though. Check in and check out was smooth.

It was such a quick check in experience , and checkout just dropping key in box . The beds were super comfortable and great location to the main drag of Tahoe and casinos and beach !

When we first got there Javier the front receptionist kept saying we did not have a reservation even tho I showed him our confirmation he told me multiple times there is no reservation so we asked for a manger and right away the manager found our reservation also we haves for the room to be cleaned in the morning and left the hotel when we returned the sign of do not disturb was hung on the door that we did not put there and the room was not cleaned we called again for them to clean the room and all they did was make the beds very terrible service they didn’t even restock when they cleaned the room we had to come down and ask for supplies

I called the property, and from the very first contact, we were treated with kindness and professionalism. The owner was incredibly helpful and allowed us to check in early without any problem. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and felt immediately at home. The hospitality and friendliness we experienced were truly special. The room was clean and cozy, and the location is excellent — close to everything and peaceful at night. We had a wonderful experience and absolutely recommend this hotel. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to South Lake Tahoe. Thank you for everything!

Family run and very pleasant. We were up for a day event and they allowed us to park onsite before check in since we were so early. Clean room and they even upgraded us to a King at no extra cost. Convenient to shopping, dining and night life. Would definitely stay again...

Great budget hotel! Clean, comfortable and managers (owners?) were very friendly and accommodating. Walkable to shops, restaurants, casinos and the lake. I would stay here again.

I booked this hotel, thinking it is close to the beach and didn't expect to have to pay to go to the Lakeside Beach as in Hawaii beaches are publicly accessible and free. The hotel conditions and facilities are kind of old and don't really match the price it charges. We were told the room cleaning has to be requested and pay extra fees. That doesn't make sense and the hotel page didn't say that. The staff told us we can go to the office to get clean towels etc if we need, but several times we went to the office, the door was locked and no staff was there.

Location, location, location for the most reasonably priced, no frills basic accommodations, within a very short 1 block walking distance to the Heavenly Gondola, as the name of this place indicates is true. Friendly owner and manager. They will let you leave your vehicle parked after you check out on your last day if you are going our to ski or ride. If the Gondola is closed for wind during a storm you can take a shuttle to the California lodge or drive and park yourself on either Nevada (15 min) or California (5 min) base lodges of Heavenly. I've been staying here on average 5 ski trips per year for at least 15 years and a couple times in summer is an easy walk to the outdoor Harvey's concert venue.

I like this place for its location right across from the gondola of the Heavenly Ski Resort. It’s also right next to shops and lots of cafes and restaurants, needless to say the casinos. The place is nice and clean with amenities. Parking is easy. Internet connection is fast. Most of all, the staff cares. For example, on my last stay, I left my ski gloves in the room. Two weeks later, on my current stay, they kept them. I got them back. I do not hesitate in booking this place.

The staff when signing in was very helpful and nice. The moment we walked into our room is when it went south. It was really dirty, walls had hand prints on it, towels were dirty and the shower had a funny smell to it. There was a hair filled dirty washcloth above the shower head and the sheets and pillowcases had hairs on them. Probably won’t ever stay there again but it was ok for one night.
