Second time to stay and it was still excellent. Check in was quick and easy. Staff are helpful. Small rooms, but that is to be expected in a big city. Big tub and separate shower in the rooms. Easy walking to the Food Hallen and other fun areas in Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

Hotel De Hallen was hands down the best hotel we stayed at while on our Europe trip! We loved the unique charm of it being built in a former tram station and loved the interior design. The hotel itself was beautiful, rooms were kept clean and were very comfortable, and the location was fantastic for exploring Amsterdam. In addition, they also rented out bikes so you can explore the town in true Amsterdam fashion! Can’t recommend it enough!!

First impressions were a modern and quirky hotel, built within the old tram repair building. It’s a compact hotel by has all you need. A bar, breakfast, vending machine lots of seating around and fantastic stylish rooms. It’s about a 20min walk into the centre, great on nice says, but as it rained all the time we were there we caught the tram. Would definitely go to this hotel again!

Over all very good hotel and very friendly staff. Would have been nice to have had a coffee machine in the lobby area and a water bottle refill. Breakfast price was high.

Room was in decent size and very clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. 4-6 min walk to tram. Neighborhood is quiet. Only problem for us is: there is no elevator for the floor 2 (floor start from 0). And there is no porter to help you with the heavy luggages. On-duty staff maybe a young woman that can’t help you much.

staff were really friendly and helpful during our 2 night stay, they even recommended a great place to rent bikes with 10% discount. Decor and indoor facing room was stunning.

Clean, modern, great location. Near food, tram, shopping, Vondelpark. Staff friendly and helpful Didn’t know shower area was not in a room with a door, but managed to make it work with my travelling companion. As long as no one looks around the corner, modesty can be preserved. Good bar in the hotel and tried all the nearby restaurants just across the street. Coffee shop, Italian, ramen. All excellent! Highly recommended hotel.

Convenient location attached to a food hall, but service lacks upscale touch. During check-in, staff informed us our room was on the third floor, and since the elevator only reaches the second floor, we had to use the stairs. Despite having large luggage, no assistance was offered, so we had to manage on our own, navigating the European standard steep staircase. Requested an umbrella due to rain, but staff insisted on selling rather than lending. Stayed three nights; cups and glasses left unwashed, no shower gel refill. Ended up using hand wash on the last day.

The worst hotel I have ever been to in, I had bedbugs, the staff were rude and mocking so I beg you not to go to that hotel, if you are smart you will do the right thing.

We had a great stay! Very well located in a calm quiet neighborhood with plenty of places to eat and have a drink. Room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was very basic compared to the photos, flooring was dirty with some big black marks of muck on the floor that seemed to of not been cleaned, toilet being in the cupboard was very weird. Unfortunately not an enjoyable stay at the hotel which was a shame, if you get put in room 111 I’d recommend asking for a different room.

The only positive thing I can say about this property is that it is in a convenient location to get to public transit and restaurants. The staff (for the most part) were incredibly rude and the hotel policies are ridiculous. On the first night, we went to the front desk to request an extra pillow. There were 2 small pillows on our bed at check in. We were told by the front desk person, “We don’t do that here.” The next day, we were trying to get take out and bring it back to the hotel so we could put our baby down for a nap. One of the staff stopped us as we walked in and told us that the hotel does not allow food inside so we would have to take our food and eat outside. If this is truly a policy, why is it not written anywhere? Why do you not tell guests this information during checkin? The room itself had these thick glass doors to the bathroom that pop and creak when you open and close them, so it sounds like they are going to fall off and break every time they move. There was also black mold growing on the ceiling in the shower. Our room door also had to be slammed every time to close it. Overall, I would not stay here again, and I would not advise others to stay here.

Great location. Staff were a little aloof and seemed distracted. The structure of the hotel meant there were no external windows and it would have been nice to be able to open a window rather than rely on air con all the time. Only one pillow per bed-I think a 4 star hotel should offer 2. Good coffee and lots of hot water.

The hotel is stylish and rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly and helpful and location great. However it is important to note (for those whom this is important to) that you cannot open the windows. Also, when booking please pay attention that some rooms also face the inside, others the outside.

Staff very friendly and professional. Christina and Catherina at the reception were great! Hotel is not in a tourist area but with the tram everything is easily accessible. Decor is modern and hotel is clean. The Food-mart next to the hotel is a great place to eat. Bathroom in superior room is big and beautiful however the saloon style door did not provide much privacy.

I didn’t like the fact my room didn’t have any windows and that there isn’t a real door for the bathroom and no ventilation. Other than this, average hotel, well situated, very nice and friendly staff.

The location of the hotel was great and the lobby area was quite nice. While the room was fine, I was disappointed that they had made up my double bed with individual bedding although I wanted it made for a couple. When I asked them for a larger blanket they said they were unable to fix that until the next day. Unfortunately my stay was only one night. Also, while I knew it was atrium still I expected something that had a window that looked down on a lobby. Our window opened right into a meeting room. The shades were closed the entire time for privacy.

Stylish, clean hotel. Good value, comfy beds, well-located. I particularly enjoyed their breakfast. I'd like to point out Maria and Sebastian working the Front Desk, they both went above and beyond helping us arrange activities and transportation. Really took their time and were beyond helpful, professional and friendly. They both speak at least 4 languages, Spanish being one of them which was great for my mom, and they really made our trip to Amsterdam!

Really lovely staff, 24 hour reception was very handy and felt very secure - wonderful to feel so safe as a solo female traveller! Great recommendations from the staff for local amenities. The room was very clean and spacious and quiet. Will be staying here when I come back to Amsterdam!

Reasonable location but not good for business travelers. The wifi is very poor to non existent and so is the mobile network in the hotel. The staff was unhelpful and could only respond with the feedback that the wifi is bad in all rooms. So if you want a digital detox, try this place

O atendimento recebido na chegada começou insatisfatório. Chegamos por volta das 16h de uma longa viagem e o quarto não estava liberado, sendo que o check in era a partir das 15h. Sinceramente nunca passei por situação igual. Ficamos sentadas com fome e cansadas na recepção aguardando a liberação do quarto. Resolvi alugar bicicletas e o recepcionista, o qual não recordo o nome nos entregou bicicletas sem nos explicar como funcionava as trancas das mesmas. Nem mesmo ajustou os assentos para mim e minha filha que não conseguíamos nem alcançar os pedais. Depois de perder muito tempo tentado desvendar como destrancar as bicicletas e utilizar os cadeados das mesmas sem sucesso, voltei na recepção do hotel por duas vezes para pedir ajuda a este recepcionista que fazia cara de quem não estava com a menor paciência. Ponto positivo na estadia : encontramos dois funcionários muito educados e prestativos: uma recepcionista extremamente cortês, paciente, educada e sorridente que ajudou com todas as minhas dúvidas referentes a transportes, alimentação no hotel etc. Outra pessoa muito cortês foi o gerente do hotel, que já no primeiro foi bastante atencioso.

Great modern hotel for an Amsterdam weekend, great beds and quiet rooms but service could have definitely been better. Staff hanging around and not paying attention to your needs, long waiting time for breakfast order “we can’t find the chef” and when asked for a new pillow they said we had to wait a day but the pillow never came as promised. If you mind your own business and don’t mind the service - it is a great clean place to stay.

The only positive thing I can say about this property is that it is in a convenient location to get to public transit and restaurants. The staff (for the most part) were incredibly rude and the hotel policies are ridiculous. On the first night, we went to the front desk to request an extra pillow. There were 2 small pillows on our bed at check in. We were told by the front desk person, “We don’t do that here.” The next day, we were trying to get take out and bring it back to the hotel so we could put our baby down for a nap. One of the staff stopped us as we walked in and told us that the hotel does not allow food inside so we would have to take our food and eat outside. If this is truly a policy, why is it not written anywhere? Why do you not tell guests this information during checkin? The room itself had these thick glass doors to the bathroom that pop and creak when you open and close them, so it sounds like they are going to fall off and break every time they move. There was also black mold growing on the ceiling in the shower. Our room door also had to be slammed every time to close it. Overall, I would not stay here again, and I would not advise others to stay here.

Abit of a walk from the centre, so not that convenient if you want to quickly pop back to the hotel. If you want to explore a different area away from tourists, then this a good place. Plenty of food options, 20min walk to Vondelpark. Friendly staff

This place is really cool. It's an old train station and has a lot of character. The rooms are very new and modern. Great layouts and design as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Something to keep in mind, when you search for this on the map function, it seems outside of the town core a bit, but after staying there, I would avoid staying in the town core. I will stay here again. There is also tons of great restaurants withing a 5 minute walk

Staff very friendly and professional. Christina and Catherina at the reception were great! Hotel is not in a tourist area but with the tram everything is easily accessible. First impressions were a modern and quirky hotel, built within the old tram repair building. It’s a compact hotel by has all you need. A bar, breakfast, vending machine lots of seating around and fantastic stylish rooms. It’s about a 20min walk into the centre, great on nice says, but as it rained all the time we were there we caught the tram. Would definitely go to this hotel again!

Lovely location in a safe pleasant square. Enjoyed taking the tram in and out. Good food hall around the corner where we enjoyed some spicy margaritas in the evening. Breakfast not included in our stay so we visited The Breakfast Club cafe on the corner which was great. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, modern decor design.

Bom hotel em região reformada e agradável de bela arquitetura interna. Mas poderia ter estacionamento para quem viaja de carro a Amsterdam. Além disso o café da manhã é bem restrito, poderia ser mais caprichado, com maior variedade de alimentos e bebidas. Atendimento de serviço bom em geral.

top hotel, chambre propre et spacieuse. Le personnel est à l’écoute. Je dirais le point négatif c’est que le petit déjeuner est un peu cher pour ce qu’il y a. la zone géographique de l’hôtel est très bien situé. Il se trouve à 500 m d’un arrêt de tram et à quelques mètres d’une bouche de métro. Les quartiers se trouvent à peu près à 10 minutes de l’hôtel chacun.

Awesome boutique hotel at reasonable price in a happening area. The breakfast was very good. The FoodHall nearby was a very hot spot, and the vegan restaurant connected to Food Hall was also great. Anne&Max breakfast and lunch restaurant around the corner was a classic European eatery. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel rooms themselves were nice, small but serviceable. The breakfast was well done. The location was also very good. Some of the staff were also very helpful and courteous. Upon checkin, however, we realized there had been a miscommunication and we were not given the rooms that we had requested via messaging and phone call. One gentleman tried to help but unfortunately the rooms were no longer available. We tried to make do with what we had. But the next morning, we were accosted by a hostile front desk lady accusing me of being difficult and "trying to cause problems" I was only asking about the availability of breakfast and had no intentions of pursuing the room issue any further. I was holding my infant son and said repeatedly only that I had requested and been promised adjoining rooms. She was aggressive and confrontational and just kept saying nasty derogatory things. Finally I had to walk away because my son was in my arms and becoming scared and I was growing very uncomfortable. I told her I would speak to someone else about it later. The next morning she apologized and said there had been a miscommunication. Which was appreciated. But I've never been spoken to in such a hostile manner by anyone at a hotel before and we were all surprised and shocked to experience it.

Bra läge utanför dom centrala turiststråken, men enkelt att ta sig runt med spårvagn, Cykel eller bara gå. Rent och trevlig personal och enkel men god frukost. Kan varmt rekommendera Hotellet som hade mycket bra airconditioner.
