You are charged 20 dollars a day to park which is ridiculous because if you are staying there you should get free parking. Staff nice, room clean, pool and hot tub could use some TLC.

Property was very well maintained and clean. Great pool and hot tub. Beach access is wonderful. They even set the chairs and umbrellas for you on the beach! Fenced in playground for littles as well.

The location is great- just plan on driving if you want anything other than the one dining room they have. A wedding was in there during our stay but the pool bar has a very good menu. $20/day to self park is a little steep to me.

The hotel property, pool, jacuzzi and bar area is excellent. The restaurant was not great. Was waiting to be seated; finally went in and poured myself a coffee and then the gentleman at the bar asked if I was just having coffee and I said I wanted breakfast. He told me to take a seat anywhere. But no one came over to see what I wanted. So then he came back and said there's only the buffet until 11. It had a good selection, but it was all cold because none of the trays were covered. The pancakes were dried out and crumbling. The waiter only came by once to ask if I wanted coffee, which I already got for myself. For two of us breakfast cost $40, very overpriced for no options and a cold continental breakfast that most restaurants offer for free. The pool bartender Kellie was excellent, however! Not enough beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for all guests, even though everyone pays a resort fee.

We had a great stay! It was a quick 3 night get away for us and this was the perfect Hotel for us. We loved the convenient Beach access with chairs and towels provided. The tiki bar was nice with music in the evening. We will definitely be back.

Great place to stay for the value!! You’re only there to sleep. Outside offers the great amenities of being on the beach. And having a great pool & hot tub. I would go there again.

Love that it is Oceanfront and has Tiki Bar (Nicole is awesome!). Extremely disappointed that the restaurant was closed during season. Ask for room away from middle section, bands on Friday/Saturday/Sunday are quite loud.

Rooms and especially bathroom was extremely dirty. The floor looked like it had not been vacuumed in a year. baseboards was moldy and covered with crud and some was loose which indicates vacuuming is never done. It also appeared that refurbishing is done solely by applying a coat of paint over crud that may be under it.

This property could be something if the owners really invested in it. It is in a good location and very convenient with an access to the beach with chairs available for guests to use. They had a pool and hot tub, as well as a bar outside. I liked the outside eating option. The downside: it was extremely over-priced for what we got. Our room was dirty. Literally had toenails on the floor still from the previous guest. The shower was dated and frankly horrible. The ceiling in there was falling apart and there was what looked like drops of blood on the walls in the room and near the ceiling in the bathroom. The shower clearly had the orange bacteria around the drain from not being cleaned well. The balcony was also just frankly dirty and kind of dingy. Both the room and balcony need repainted. Another incredibly annoying thing was that they hosted a wedding so the kitchen was not available to guests at all. I was really looking forward to using this amenity as we were exhausted from traveling & this trip was for my birthday. We ordered from the tiki bar and luckily that was really good. I was really looking forward to ordering breakfast there in the morning because the menu looked great but they only offered a ridiculously over-priced “breakfast buffet” that was $20 per person. This is insane - what they were offering was no different than any other hotel. They nickel and dime you here. $20 something for parking in a very basic parking lot with no ballet. Wouldn’t recommend.

Stayed here for a last minute vacation for my boyfriend and I. We booked a double queen room and were not too thrilled with the cleanliness of the room. You can definitely tell the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned in between stays. Very dusty like things haven’t been wiped, the remote was covered in crumbs and dust. The fridge and cabinets were nasty. Almost every single piece of linen we got whether it was our bedding, pillow case, bath towel, etc.. had hair on it… short hairs, long hairs. Not very pleasant to have to pick all of them off your “clean” towels or bedding. The shower curtain is linen and would stick to you while your showering which was not pleasant having a dirty, wet shower curtain touching you. Our AC unit was leaking into our balcony, leaving a nasty green wet puddle outside. The entrance and elevators were also pretty gross. House keeping is on an ask before 11am basis as well. Overall not the worst we have experienced but also not the greatest. You get what you pay for.

Our room was clean and spacious. We loved sitting on our balcony over looking the ocean drinking coffee in the morning. The beach is literally out the back door. The convenience of pool, bars and restaurant on site was wonderful. We will definitely be back

The front desk staff was less than helpful. My bathroom ceiling was full of black mold. Upon telling the front desk, I was told sorry YOU didn’t see it sooner SOMEONE COULD HAVE COME AND CLEANED IT FOR YOU.

Was unimpressed with the service and lack of cleanliness in the room. We found dog fur fluffs on the floor although it had just been cleaned before we checked in. Not sure what was used to mop the floor but when we arrived in the room, room floor was wet and smelt. It was only after the floor dried, the smell went away.

Make sure you like dogs and won’t be disturbed by barking during the night. We were placed on a pet friendly floor without prior knowledge or options. Secondly, make sure you ask if there are any events or weddings happening if you are looking someplace quiet and relaxing. Lastly, ice machine was not working during my entire stay and no one attempted to fix it. One more thing, the total amount for the room listed on the website does not include the $19.99 parking fee charged per each night’s stay.

Property is well updated from the previous days as 'The Clamdigger'. Hotel is all ocean front rooms with balconies, while the door to the room looks out through the hotel's glass front offering views of the inlet in the distance. Rooms are on the smaller side, but suffice, offering a mini-fridge, microwave and small coffee maker. Bathroom is tiny with the toilet being tucked inches between the shower and wall. The shower curtain will cling to you if it is not drenched with water first as it is not weighted. We stayed 3 nights in room 704 which is in dire need of a new mattress. The bed was by far the worst we've encountered traveling and left us glad we were only there for a short stay as longer would not have been bearable. Staff was great, we enjoyed speaking with several guys from Croatia who were always a delight. Onsite restaurant, Rising Tide Seafood, was delicious for lunch and dinner, which we did for 2 days. We did not try the breakfast "buffet" as we heard from other patrons that it was underwhelming for the price. Drinks at the Tiki bar were fabulous, Kelly was a great bartender. The hotel is dog friendly, we saw maybe 6 total, all well behaved. The beach chairs and umbrellas are first come, first serve, and go quickly once they are put out in the morning around 0800. All in all, we would stay again, but return with a mattress topper to be safe.

Was a perfect place for a one-night stay. Convenient to a lot of places, and i enjoyed being right on the beach. The only problem we had was the wi-fi kept going in and out and there was no cell service in my room.

View was good. Tiki bar area was fine. Disappointed in the very small shower and bathroom space. Very dark in room Only one light other lamps had been taken out at some point and not replaced according to front desk attendant. Not very pleased with several things. Hotel guests should not be charged for parking, disappointed in that. Was not aware of pets staying there until I heard them barking through the night. Not a fan of staying in hotel rooms where pets have slept. I have a lab but he sleeps where he is supposed to. Food at Breakfast buffet Sat. morning was cold and limited. Surely not worth the price charged. To be charged for coffee, 1st time in all my travels through the years I've had to pay for coffee at hotel I'm staying. My companion was even served a cold cup of coffee for refill one time. Things should be better than this especially for the price of the rooms per night.

The hotel offers great access and excellent views of the beach. Its also located in the less crowded Pine Knolls area. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bathroom is cramped with a separate sink away from the shower with no door. (Personal preference) I love the privacy of one separate bathroom and a door. The one thing I love about the hotel is everyone gets an ocean view room off a nice balcony. Our experience since we were on the 6th floor was noisy I think due to the AC located on the roof. It sounded like a cello or something to me. In all fairness the hotel may have moved us to a lower floor but we didnt ask. If the balcony experience means a lot to you like it does us. Id recommend asking for a lower floor. That's what we intend to do next time we stay.

The hotel lobby is cute and the property is great. They seemed short staffed and were over an hour and a half late to check us in. The front check in staff said they’d refund our parking and then audibly told us, “Actually nevermind, that’ll be $42.” It was worth the stay but that experience was off putting.

hotel staff short on housekeeping, so we didnt get our room til 5. we saw many folks after 630 still without their room keys. Restaurant not open yet. but, tiki bar and front desk staff were superb. our room was nothing special. no toilet paper, no towels. nice new outdoir furniture.

The receptionist, Stephanie threatened to “call the law” on me in front of my two small children for having our dinner at the pool. We were unaware of the ridiculous rule that you can only eat the food that is served at the restaurant on the hotel premise unless you are secluded to your room or have to eat on the sandy beach. We had already ordered our dinner and we’re ready to eat at the pool And ask Stephanie for a little leniency with this especially considering I have two small children and she threatened to call the police on us in front of my kids. We were not bothering anyone or causing a scene. Bill the restaurant owner and the maker of this ridiculous rule came out and immediately gave me an attitude and had the guts to say they pride themselves on customer service…what a joke. Also, they started charging $20 to park in their parking lot. This is not normal considering we are not in the city where parking is limited. It’s very disappointing since I have visited this hotel several times and this has never been a rule and why I continued to go to this hotel because of the good experiences that I’ve had in the past. Needless to say, I will never return and I will tell everybody not to stay here Some food for thought for the hotel owner. You expect people who are staying several nights at your hotel to only eat was on the restaurant menu? I had booked an Air B&B for a mini family vacation. After booking that trip, we wanted to extend our trip but was unable to add a day so I found an open room at Crystal Coast. It was so affordable I was skeptical of the quality. But boy were we surprised. We have a trip already planned for 2026, but we’ve already decided to come back after that. Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and the amenities were amazing. My only regret is not staying longer.

This was a great place to stay right on the beach. The was sooo comfy and the view is outstanding. It is a little outdated but staff is friendly and so close to the beach. You do have to drive to everything. Great place to stay.

Nice view, lots of areas for improvement. Staff were not consistent with information and did not make it very welcoming. If you have your hopes set on comfort, bring TP because the options available are less than 1-ply and transparent. Breakfast is not included, but an additional charge but then the resturaunt is also under repairs. Coffee and Tea are an additional charge as well. If you are a family, we would not recommend as this hotel lacks safety features for kiddos and you're going to also be stuck with basic cable with a hotel that charges current rates for 2025.

The room was very nice and roomy with a beautiful view of the beach. Unfortunately during our stay, the restaurant and bar were being renovated, so we had to leave the hotel for meals. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It also rained the entire time of our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the beach that was right at out doorstep!

Really liked the hotel. Was disappointed that they closed the beach bar and restaurant early after I arrived at the hotel around 5:30, they closed before 7:00 with no reason. I needed up having to order delivery.

Loved the hotel. The layout, view and decor was great. The restaurant was great. The bar tender outside (wish i could remember her name) was the absolute best. I'm not much of a drinker and she made me a watermelon drink that was superb. I sat out there abs talked to her for a hour while my husband fished and she was so kind and professional. This hotel was definitely one of my favorites and we definitely will stay again!

Was waiting to be seated; finally went in and poured myself a coffee and then the gentleman at the bar asked if I was just having coffee and I said I wanted breakfast. He told me to take a seat anywhere. But no one came over to see what I wanted. So then he came back and said there's only the buffet until 11. It had a good selection, but it was all cold because none of the trays were covered. The pancakes were dried out and crumbling. The waiter only came by once to ask if I wanted coffee, which I already got for myself. For two of us breakfast cost $40, very overpriced for no options and a cold continental breakfast that most restaurants offer for free. The pool bartender Kellie was excellent, however! Not enough beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for all guests, even though everyone pays a resort fee.

Room phone to get front desk didn't work so twice to get someone to come up to get tv working i had to go downstairs Whoever or whatever was above me was very noisy like moving furniture. I was 6th floor, noisy was above on 7th. Ive never had to pay for parking, was included in being a guest all the time until this stay. I had to leave day and half early due to Nor'easter coming, not hotels fault, I need to get one night cost back. This was a trip to relieve heavy stress, was stressful in itself. Walking on beach in water and sand was very nice.

Overall an okay stay, but the hotel could definitely use some improvements. Convenient oceanfront location with a bar/restaurant on site, and they had some beach chairs available you could use. The pool/hot tub were quite dirty - lots of sand, and the hot tub wasn’t even remotely hot, which was very disappointing. We stayed on the top floor and could see a staff member “clean” the hot tub one day, which consisted of sweeping all the sand into a pile and then leaving it still in the hot tub. The room was spacious enough for 2 people, but could have used a much more thorough clean. There was someone else’s hair on the shower curtain, the towels and sheets had stains, sand on the floor before we even stepped foot onto the beach, and various pieces of crumbled wall/ceiling through the room. The worst thing was seeing a cockroach crawl across the floor on our second night. The place needs some major renovations and deep cleaning before I would consider staying here again.

It was alright but there are several things that could be improved on. We were charged $60 some to park there but we're not told in advance. The pool needed to be cleaned . It was full of sand. The rooms were not cleaned or towels replaced or trash emptied or bed made unless requested. I would not stay there again.
