Rodeway Inn Gallup West

Parking was good, we cam with a travel trailer. Staff was ok. Room was ok for the price.

What a pet with us so maybe the pet rooms aren’t as clean as non pet rooms but the bed skirt was torn & the carpet had spots & under the desk structure a dog had peed on the wall & in the bathroom there was dirt in the corners of the floor. Noon of the side or back doors locked or latched ever.

Pros: convenient near gas and rte 66, good lighting when parked near the front entrance for security, price, front desk a little bit unfriendly at check in (but was in a better mood upon check out. Must be just tired) Cons: multiple entrances without a secure lock and narrow hallways so exit areas are a little confusing. Pillows are small and blankets are thin. Old smell when you enter the room. Breakfast is limited to toast, butter/grape/fruit jelly spread, pancakes, OJ and coffee.

They acted like it was a huge inconvenience so ask if we had touched anything in the room yet Yeah we did we touched everything. The next room we got was cleaner, but the air conditioner worked a little better not very good though it still stayed about 80° in the room. The free continental breakfast was a huge joke. The dog fee for the hotel is $10 per dog per night, which wasn’t too bad

Hair all over the sheets when we first got there. Although staff waaa great and provided great customer service.

Property was dirty. Water stains around toilet. Carpets badly soiled and stained. Etc.

It was very good, the staff were polite and the room was clean and the restroom and bathtub were also very clean.

The room was filthy. Some of the curtain hooks were missing. I slept with my coat on because the heater sounded like a jet engine. The shower dripped all night. I will never stay at any Rodeway Inns again.

The man who checked me in was rude. The tile in the bathroom was cracked and filthy. There was dried pee on the toilet. Stains running down the walls. Floor wasnt vacuumed. Hair on the linens. Door didn't close all the way. Wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beds are to hard and need bigger pillows than just little square ones. But room was clean and staff was very friendly

The room was in disrepair. The main door didn't have a safety lock and there was a gap on the door so wide i could see people walking in the hallway.. I was in the shower and glanced past the curtian to see a major amount of feces on the bottom part of the commode and on the wall. A used razor was poking from behind the mirror. A hole in the shower faucet whi h sprayed everywhere except me.

Never stayed before...overall quality cost and room...fine Drawbacks, heater in room wasnt super great, did set it a bit high but smelled a bit of burning so turned it back down....also the blankets on bed could have been a bit thicker, for more warmth

It's clean and well kept, the rooms are big and well maintained. The only thing was that they changed me $10 more for a ground floor room.

Room was in rough shape. AC and fridge were noisy. Had to change rooms. No better. Scratch this off your list; reason it was cheap. Dirt cheap !

the hotel is very nice- my air conditioner did not work in the room they gave me—they sent me to the second floor where the AC in the room worked, but there is a huge hole and water stain in the wall next to the bed. I told them to note on the computer as I don’t want to be charged for damage.

The staff were all SUPER friendly, loved that. The lobby was clean and well kept. Our room was clean enough but the bedding and towels were old full of holes and tattered. They must be renovating because I was woke up at 4:30am to workers working on the rooms next to mine being very load. I walked out to tons of works coming in and out, up and down the stairs and working on the surrounding rooms. Guess that was my alarm to get up and on the road so we don’t know how the breakfast was :/

When I checked in, I used the public restroom in the lobby. As a result, an employee jokingly said: It costs $5 per person to use the restroom. There is a fee. Maybe he was joking, or maybe he was teasing, or maybe if other customers were serious, they would think he was really charging... That's really bad...

We have stayed at this property three times and every time the keys do not work. It is so dusty and dirty and the doors don’t seem to close right.

Desk Clerk refused to honor my PAID reservation despite my call to notify my late arrival due to car trouble. He marked me no-show Even Though I Was Standing There, and said I would not be charged, so I requested and received a Signed Note to that effect. However, he DID charge my credit card through Orbitz. I have reported this incident to Orbitz who has promised me a FULL REFUND.

Customer service

The room and hotel itself wasnt bad at all. Easy access, clean room, comfy bed, everything worked. Front desk gave a quick check in. Only disliked thing I have to say is, we were allowed by front desk to have a late check out, which is noon, but right at 11am the housekeeper knocked on the door repeatedly none stop until we answered and gave us attitude about the late chekout, saying they never told her and urging us to leave. Communication is a must! Otherwise, great stay.

I checked in Jan 10th and checked out Jan 12th. After check-out, I realized I left my phone behind. When I arrived home, which is about 3-hours away from Gallup, NM, I called Rodeway on Jan 13th. The front desk staff was very nice to inform me that my phone was located and was available at the front for pick-up. I informed the front desk staff that I would be there late, around 8 P. M., because I was working and couldn't drive to Gallup unitl after 5 P. M. The staff said phone would be there. I made my way and arrived and the staff, a drag queen, was already rude and told me there was no phone. The drag queen worked the evening shift. I told the staff to call the other staff and was told, I already called and she's not picking up. Without even contacting owner/manager, the drag queen was rude to me. I left, decided I would stay there and wait until 7 A. M. for the other staff to talk to. I returned to check and that drag queen was extremely rude checking me in. No customer service...nothing. Then the owner/manager walked out from the back office and I immediately approached him and explained what happened. He pointed to the phone and said it's right there. The drag queen picked up my phone from next to the computer monitor. My phone was sitting there all this time and was told it was no where to be found. I got my phone back, but I believe the drag queen was going to steal my phone should I have not returned. It was why I rated the customer service horrible.

Property is dated but it was clean and the price was right. It is close to the interstate but quite a distance from restaurants and shopping.

It was old. Everything around seemed abandoned. The hot water for the shower was taking forever to warm up. Since it was very cold outside, we decided to skip the shower and leave.

I was what it was, a $50 roadside motel. It served its purpose for a weary traveler. Bed and shower was all i needed. It also had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. So that was nice.

Definitely worth the money. A good room with comfortable bed makes you sleep good. Poor breakfast in the morning, but with that price you can’t ask for more

Everything was clean. The room was more than adequate. Best part was having pancakes and fresh coffee for breakfast. I would enjoy staying there again.

No excuse for poorly cleaned rooms. Please don't advertise breakfast if all you have is white bread and raisin bran cereal.

Let’s be honest, the reason you stay at the roadway Inn is to have a place to sleep. It’s not a vacation spot. The staff member who checked me in was great. When I complained that there was no pillowcases, she took care of it right away. The room is outdated. The TV was broken. When I got up this morning and realized there was no towels, just the wash cloth and hand towels, I just used what I had after my shower. The staff person at check out was fine. Not social, but not rude either. Last night’s staff was wonderful. Would I stay here again? Probably not. The only good thing was the staff person working last night and that I got a good nights sleep. The free breakfast sucks. I don’t expect a 5 star hotel/motel, but this place was awful. It gets a second star only because of the employee who was working when I checked in.
