NDAME Paje Hotel

Die Touren haben absolutes Verbesserung Bedarf, viel zu teuer für die schlechte Planung und deren Kommunikation untereinander wie die Tour ablaufen soll.

Ndame was a good experience. I enjoyed the amenities and the open beach. As advertised the hotel is exactly next to the beach. My time there was well spent.

Läget var fantastiskt, lugnt och skönt, i den lugnare delen men ändå nära att kunna gå in mot ”stan”. Poolområdet var superfint med utsikt över havet. Alla var väldigt trevliga i personalen, framförallt restaurang- och poolpersonalen! Kunde absolut ta lite lång tid att få in beställningar, men det verkar det vara överlag i Zanzibar. Vad som var mindre bra tyvärr - städningen på rummen var kanske inte den bästa, det fylldes heller inte på med nytt när det tog slut (schampo och tvål), trots att vi påminde flertalet gånger. Wi-fiet fungerade inte i vårt rum (vissa andra rum fungerade det bra och andra inte pga räckvidden). Vår utcheckningsdag tog de även betalt för vår frukost och vi fick inte möjlighet att låna handdukar, även om vi sade att vi kunde betala för det för att duscha av oss innan hemfärd som var senare på kvällen. Allt som allt - bra läge, fint hotell och poolområde, samt väldigt trevlig personal i restaurang och poolområde. Vad som var mindre bra var städning och småmissar, och att de inte var så tillmötesgående vår sista dag.

Restauranten var meget dyr i forhold til restauranter i byen. Vi kunne ikke betale med kreditkort, selvom det var beskrevet.

Our stay at Ndame Paje Hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. Even though the facilities themselves were actually quite nice, the room we were given was far below what we expected. It almost felt like there was mold in the room, and the walls and the area around the doors seemed damp, which created a raw, unpleasant smell. The first night was the worst part. There were insects on the floor and in the bed, and several of them crawled over me while I was sleeping. I woke up multiple times throughout the night and barely slept at all. It’s an extremely uncomfortable experience when you can’t even relax in your own bed, and it caused a lot of stress — especially since this was the beginning of our holiday. The next day, we informed the reception and asked to change rooms, but they had nothing available. We ended up contacting Hotels.com, who thankfully moved us to another hotel just four minutes down the same street. That place had none of these issues, and we were finally able to relax and get proper sleep. The food at Ndame wasn’t great either, and the service was generally poor, although a few staff members were friendly and did their best. To be honest, this experience did affect our holiday in a negative way. Because of all this, I unfortunately can’t recommend Ndame Paje Hotel, especially when there are much better options just nearby.
