Minnies Mountain Lake House

Very nice place, we enjoyed our stay. Our checkin was pushed back an extra hour as the place was still being cleaned from the renters before us who apparently trashed the place. Given the time crunch we felt the floors and other areas were left a bit dirty but given the circumstances we tried to be understanding.

Beautiful Property

what a wonderful home to rent for a week. The check in was a breeze. The house was very clean including the outdoor area. We commented many times throughout the week how great the amenities were, especially in the kitchen: Keurig coffee maker, loads of pots/pans, silpats, bake-ware, just to name a few. The town was about 25 minutes away so getting groceries was easy. We hiked at Cove Lake a few times, plus went to Chapman Winery. Both fun activities recommended by our host. The views from the home were beautiful. We have rented from VRBO many times and this experience was the best. Our host and "grounds keeper' (Mark) were super!

This cabin was amazing! Perfectly decorated for a mountain cabin feel, with great amenities (pool table, large seating areas to hang out, fire pit, grill, hot tubs) and comfortable living spaces. We booked this property kind of at the last minute, as an alternative to booking a hotel room closer to Knoxville while visiting our son, and I am so thankful we did! We brought our dogs and they had plenty of yard space to run around and have fun too! The property management had everything ready for check-in, communicated with us regularly to ensure we were settled and comfortable and we truly couldn't have been happier. We will definitely be staying here again!

We carefully selected this property for a visit to the Lake Norris area and to connect with a Lincoln Memorial University medical student. While the house is charming and well appointed, the check-in process was nearly disastrous. The home was not ready for our arrival and we were not given the proper door code to enter. It would have been extremely helpful to know the home is quite remote and removed from grocery stores and restaurants. The outdoor decking, furniture and hot tub were dirty, mildewed and unkept. The grill was full of old grease and caught on fire. The walk to the lake was beautiful and the local neighbors were very kind and welcoming. Follow up to our concerns were ignored and unresolved during and after our stay. I spent much of my getaway making beds and cleaning to accommodate our family and local guest for dinner. I’m hopeful changes and more attention will keep this lovely-vibe home available for others to enjoy. Peace.
