Easy to access NT properties at Snowshill, Hidcote etc plus the wonderful Batsford Arboretum. Walks from the neighbouring village of Compton with a leaflet from the village shop were great. Eating at The near by Red Lion hotel/restaurant was excellent, service on one night was exceptional. The owner, Jennifer was very helpful and friendly.

What a comfortable place to stay. The floor plan is well laid out and the furniture and furnishings are great for relaxing. This might not be the best place to stay if you want to be in a town or village but the surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful and the house was very relaxing and comfortable.

The Granary was a lovely quiet cottage with a large lounge, with dining room and kitchen upstairs. Jennifer was very helpful as we stored our bikes in the garage. It was a great location to cycle from, as well as visiting National Trust properties, going for walks and visiting nice towns. Would recommend Crocodile place near Burford.
