Stayed 14 nights

We arrived at Grange Cottage early evening after a long, tiring journey, but when we opened the green gate and looked down the lovely garden and on to the wonderful views beyond, the stress just melted away, and our spirits lifted! It is located in beautiful countryside, with many nice walks and interesting places to visit. It was fun exploring the quirky attractive cottage. It has a lovely kitchen which is well equipped and has a dining table for 6. We were able to invite our family for dinner and started to feel like we lived there! All rooms look out on to lovely views. We saw deer in the lane a few times. The pictures in the listing are accurate, and the rooms are attractive. The low ceilings in a few places took awhile to get used to. But this is to be expected in a centuries-old English cottage! It has been beautifully restored. Beds were comfortable. The cottage is very well managed, with a binder giving all kinds of local history and information, as well as instructions for using all the appliances. Flashlights supplied in every room and night-lights for safety, some basic foods supplied. The owners were lovely and very responsive. We appreciated the human contact even more after going on to London and having to deal with AI. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hopefully we can stay there again.
