Travelodge by Wyndham San Antonio Lackland AFB North

Once the Hotel is finish with its remodeling and fix up the area it will be nice. The lobby is coming to shape since I first visited in 2020

There was no hot water or ice machine had to be there because my grandson was graduating from Lackland Air Force from Boot camp. No breakfast like they had on the site and a fence around the property with barb wire on the top

The only thing that I can say I liked was how nice the lady at front desk and the cleaning lady were. Other than that the place was so not how the pics looked when I booked. My kids and I weren’t even able to get in the pool from it being green. Bed sheets were stained and dirty as if they weren’t washed. Holes in the sheets. A/C stopped working sink and tub clogged up. Toilet wasn’t properly put it would move. Sink leaked water from the bottom. Trash can was filthy as if someone threw up in there. It smelled horrible. Sorry but I will never go here again. Not only was the beds uncomfortable but all the drug addicts around.

We had to pay a $60 deposit to ensure us non smokers didn't smoke in the room. The sheets and blanket had cigarette burns on them and were paper thin. The pool was locked and not able to be used. When we asked they said it's under construction. But that wasn't listed in the booking as being permanently closed. We had to go buy toilet paper bc house keeping did not restock the one thing they provide for a multiple night stay.. Absolutely no extras at this facility. No soap, shampoo vending or ice machine. Towels are currency and you don't get new ones. Desperately needs a remodel. The one thing that worked well was the AC.

The Hotel is being renovated so that is the reason for the messy parking lot and Empty misused rooms

This is the first time that I’ve experienced a check in and check out through an outside window. Since I arrived at night I was a bit nervous since I didn’t feel that I was safe while my back was turned during the check in process. So once I got inside the room, it was noticed that a drawer was kind of broken and then when taking a shower the shower head wasn’t working properly. So the water was leaking more from the outside of the shower head than to the head itself.

One of the reasons we stayed here was for the pool. Upon arrival we found that the pool was green and out of order. Also, there was a vent hanging off its hinges. As a bonus, after we were all in bed, I noticed that there was no smoke detector. I could see in window of other unoccupied rooms that they had them but we didnt. I went to notify someone and possibly switch rooms but the front desk was completely locked up, this was on a Monday after 8am. You know what, its my fault for trying to save a little money.

When we got there we noticed the pool was green and not okay to swim in. The door was so dirty, the sheets weren’t cleaned, the fridge had literal mold all over it. The floor was so dirty that the bottoms of our feet were black. The bathtub was disgusting, I couldn’t even give my kids a bath. We checked out not long after and went to a different hotel.

This is our first time staying at this hotel. Because I had an extra person they had to charge me more money. The room was not so great. The bathtub was stopped up and the toilet seat was broken. So when I sat on it it moved to the side. The light fixture was hanging inside the restroom with a piece of tape. There was mold in the restroom on the ceiling. They said it was a no smoking room but my blanket and sheet had burn holes in them. Online it says that they have a pool but it was all green and slimy and not open

Property looked nothing like Expedia pictures. Half the building was condemned pool was unkempt.. no chairs.. no lobby.. not even an ice machine. Not a good area of town. One of the worst hotels ive stayed in.

Lots of mold on wall behind bathroom door. Plugs are so loose had to keep plugging stuff back in for them to work. Bed was hard as a rock. Wall was separating from the tub at the bottom. AC cooled great but fan was not very strong on it, so it took forever to actually cool off the room. Back half of hotel is closed down, probably because unsafe. Another staircase was closed off because it was falling down.

first night in and the beds had stains all over and the floor looked dirty. Was given another room and i found a cockroach

It has been the worst Travelodge I have ever been. Dirty, mold in the fridge, roaches, broken faucet counter, furniture is super old looks like it was picked up out of a dumpster. The area is sketchy but it would be ok if the hotel were nice. The rooms and the office does not look anything from the Expedia pictures

Nothing was cleaned. The bed sheets on both beds had little crumbs and pieces of whatever on them, there were some sort of liquid stains splashed on the wall and on the floor next to the further bed. The bath tub drain had huge clumps of hair in it. The towels did not smell nor look clean, my father and I couldn’t even take a shower because we were grossed out. Next time ensure the rooms are clean yourself before handing them out to guests. Do better.

Had roaches, mold, all the lights are broken. Walls we're filthy. Room was in horrible condition. Hotel needs to be closed down due to infestation.

The room smells, my box springs has blood stain on it, sheets have dirt on them

When we first saw our room, there were bodily fluid stains all over the comforter and sheets. Furthermore, there was a significant amount of black mold in the shower tub, and it was evident that the room was not properly cleaned. There was garbage and gum left behind, and dirt on the floor. When we showed the desk staff our room, and asked him about the black mold, he just laughed and confirmed it was indeed mold. We asked for a new room, and were shown 2-3 rooms that were nearly as dirty as the first room. Eventually, he showed us a room that was seemingly acceptable for a night's sleep. After we settled into the room, we noticed roaches coming out from under the mini-fridge, so we left the room in a panic. When we confronted the staff member, he did not deny or act surprised that we found roaches, he simply agreed to refund our deposit. After much back and forth at 2AM, he eventually said that we would be receiving a full electronic refund. If you are reading this and thinking of booking, don't!! The cleanliness of the rooms is appalling, and the fact that the staff are complicit in giving out disgusting, roach infested rooms makes it even worse. If you speak with the staff member (Nagrag?), do not trust him, he tried to conceal the roach infestation and other health hazards such as mold. Note: The roach infestation was noticed as of late August 2024. If you don't want roaches in your stuff, AVOID THIS MOTEL AT COSTS.

Absolutely horrible experience. Was told they “upgraded” me when I got there. Walked into my room that was disgustingly dirty, with bed sheets and blankets that all had cigarette holes and stains on them when they stated they are a smoke free establishment. The toilet had poop in it from the last guest and the shower had their hair. There was a desk that was covered in some sort of dried green liquid spots and the floors were so dirty I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. Asked to switch rooms, second one was the tiniest bit cleaner but the bed had way more stains on it. Called down to see if there was anyway to switch them out or something and I was brought up a tiny decorative sheet. I was given attitude when I asked to switch my rooms. The front desk is a bullet proof glass window with a small slit for paperwork. Tried to get a refund because of how disgusting my stay was, and I was told they do not give them for any reason. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Everything was acceptable except nobody could give me the correct Wi-Fi net work and my door had a huge gap in it letting both sound and air in and out

Rate was more than advertised, had to pay an additional deposit to stay. Room had hair on the floor and the water for the shower wouldn't turn on so I was unable to take a shower at all. Bed was very hard and lumpy and the pillows felt like rocks. Tried to Check out on the morning and no staff was available. I called the number after waiting 20 minutes and the front desk personnel was on the property doing something else. Poor management and very unsafe area as a lot of transient people roam freely in the parking lot. Not worth the price

The doors in the restroom were scratched up from previous pets. Mattress was very uncomfortable. No toiletries. Only had 1/2 a roll of toilet paper. Hard to understand the the person behind the window.It was convenient to express way.

Room was run down and old, with cracks in counters and minor holes in walls. But worth it for the low price.

Staff acts like towels are a currency, paper thin and was only given two for two people, wouldn’t give more until the others were given back. When the others were brought back they said that it was locked up and had no access to them. I’ve slept on the ground in the military that was more comfortable than their mattresses.

The only rhi g is that my room didn't have a remot and the water was tunning all night

Floors in our room didn’t look very clean. They had no extra pillows and the overall property wasn’t in super great condition. There’s also a lot of homeless people hanging around and just feels a little sketchy but I guess you get what you pay for. The room was ok, the size was good, restroom was small but fine. Just the floors had like muddy or dirty looking shoe prints

The hotel is overrun with homeless and you cant walk out without someone asking for something. Also their room deposit should have been on your app when i booked this room.I am a Wyndham member longstanding and dont have to pay a deposit at the nicer hotels like the La Quinta down the street or even the Super 8 which is not the best but better than this Travelodge.I used my rewards to get this room because our vehicle was in shop and definitely wont stay at this place again.If you want roaches,homeless and a room from the 70s then this place is for you but if you want to spend just $10 more i suggest the La Quinta a block away. Now they run a hotel not a hotel run by the surrounding homeless. The lady at the front desk was awesome and should be better suited working at the La Quinta.We appreciate your kind attitude and professional level you displayed. We have been staying at different hotels til we close on our house and FYI we spend about $2,000 a month which is not credit so to the franchisee who treats people with his Im better than you attitude.You are just like all the other judgemental dime a dozen franchisees who think your hotel guest are beneath you but soon reality will set in when you fail and never make what once was Motel 6,Red Roof ??? Into nothing but what your hotel is just a place where only you matter but not your guest.I review for tbe Wyndham group.We are owners not just guests so hope you enjoy losing our business and our review.I give you a year.Byebye

Overall wasn’t too bad, but less than what i expected being its a “Ramada”. Property is somewhat fenced and when I arrived to check-in, there was two police and a fire truck on the grounds, and an obvious disturbance. Bed was quite comfortable but the room overall (bathroom had insects, shower needs work, cannot take a bath and very few towels) was somewhat uncomfortable. For the price and it being last minute, it’s ok, and the proximity to highways in itself would make travel easier

Friendly staff

The lobby and rooms smell musty. Black mold and roaches in every room. The photos of this place aren't anything near what it is actually like. I didn't even stay for one night and requested a refund the moment I saw the room. The manager assured me that he would refund me but has since dodged me and the booking company I used. Took my money and won't answer calls. This place is a huge health code violation. If I could give 0 stars I would because that place is a nightmare. Do not stay here... I wouldn't even if it was free.

They were made aware that the reservation was for my son and his family. They would be there until the 24th or so.They returned late at night with the kids. Unable to use the key card. I was on video chat with them so they can get one. Still gave a difficult time. Stated my daughter in law could be a stalker. Was over charged on my card. For 5 people, only 2 towels were given. I told them not to use the card on file, i was on the way. They tried charging it 4 times. Hours after leaving i was sent an apology letter. Yet having to pack up a family of 5 and look elsewhere. The new motel is pet friendly and doesn’t charge the extra $50 fee, nor the $10 daily fee on which 10 was kept.

Homeless man approached me on the steps outside. I explained this to the owner and how I no longer felt safe. He stated that the police patrol there twice a day….but did not refund my last night ( I checked out 1 day early and slept at the airport). I felt he should of refunded that night.

Should have booked a different hotel. I want my money back because this was the worst hotel we have been in. Only one set of towels for a family of three. Says a $50 deposit but then “accidentally” charges your card $60 then asks if it’s okay after the fact. Lights didn’t work above the bed. Toilet paper was not stocked. Have to check in at a window not in the lobby. The company that owns this hotel should be ashamed. I would prefer the money I spent on this horrible hotel back. It was a nightmare.

Trashiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The owner is a true scam artist. I will never use Expedition again . I booked my room. My flight got delayed over night. I called Expedia to have them contact the owner to notify them of my late arrival. The owner said everything will be fine. I get there the owner cancels my reservation and has me pay a higher price. He didn’t want Expedia to get their 20 percent. All for 14 dollars.

This place will steal your deposit money! I put $60 down as a deposit In case I smoked in the room, I do not smoke, but the owner went and checked my room and said I smoked cigarettes in there, I disputed this so he went and got an employee who verified his claim. I do not smoke! There was no hot water! It was dirty! And I am going to report this business to the better Business bureau because they are crooks who steal your money

It was close to downtown

I liked that it was walkable to places in the area.

There are so many places to get food and snacks. But at your own risk. Was assaulted. Fights outside of my room every night. Used syringes all over the property. And housekeeping doesn’t bring toilet paper. You have to go get it. MaKe that made sense

There not allot of hotels that are close by everything

This place was the worst I have ever stayed in. The people were rude. I had to argue for a roll of toilet paper. It was dirty and the area is not safe. My rental car was broken into and someone flicked cigarette butts all over the hood/windshield. There were roach carcasses under the fridge. Please do not offer this place to others in further bundles.

**Avoid This Hotel – Dirty, Unsafe, and Unhygienic!** I recently stayed at Travel Logde next to Lackland AFB and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The place was absolutely filthy—dirty floors, moldy bathrooms, and a strong musty smell throughout the rooms. It was clear that housekeeping and maintenance were not a priority. Beyond the lack of cleanliness, the hotel also felt extremely unsafe. There were suspicious activities happening on the property, I did not feel comfortable staying there, and I was genuinely concerned for my safety. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to stay elsewhere. No one should have to deal with these conditions, and I hope management takes action to improve the hotel. Until then, I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances!

Very close to Lackland AFB!

Looked like a crack house. There is no lobby to go into because the crime rate is so bad. Just a window to talk to the person. Do not recommend.

Whats good about it is that you dont need to drive to the store restaurants n there a big shopping center even is so close by

I git in at 9pm and the lady was nice.There were people outside smoking weed. The room smelled heavy of pesticides. The floors where sticky and dirty. The beds where old stained and smelled on mold. The pillows were flat. The sheet had a huge hole in it. No towels except hand. The toilet felt like it was fixing to fall thou the floor. I actually checked out at 730 the next morning instead of staying the 2 nights i booked. When i checked out i wasnt allowed in the lobby the guy was rude and no sign of breakfast which was one of the reasons i picked the place. The pool was brown and green.
