Venice V Hotel

Property is older but has everything we needed for comfort by the beach. They provide beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas too which was great. You can even sign out a bike too.

This is a great, central location in Venice Beach. I loved that they offered bikes and beach towels to borrow and even a yoga class on the beach! Parking is not cheap so either Uber there or find more reasonable parking costs further away from the ocean. We'd definitely go back!

Valet parking was steep cost and not included in the stay.

Awesome stay at Venice V hotel in the heart of Venice beach. The PH was so unique with a Marocan vibe and ocean view. Valet parking was so great as finding parking in this area is really REALLY difficult. I ll come back!

Hotel has a cool vibe. It was clean & safe. Upscale lobby area. Very kind & professional staff. No restaurant or bar, but several nearby. There is $100/per night hold and an amenity fee at checkin. The fee includes use of beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and bikes. Valet parking is $53/per night. Valet staff was awesome, very prompt and courteous. They offer in & out privileges and provide overnight security for vehicles. Complimentary late checkout is 12:30PM if the room is available. Max late checkout time is 3PM at an additional $190 cost. Room has a mini fridge, a safe, 2 robes, expresso machine, and box water. No microwave. No cable or full satellite service. No dresser, iron or ironing board. They provide a steamer, luggage rack, & ice bucket upon request. There is rooftop seating for views of the ocean & lovely sunset. Staff politely requests be quiet up there because Penthouse rooms are next to the rooftop. There were lots of tourists & locals enjoying the boardwalk- walking, biking, & dining. Many also watched the skaters at the skatepark. Also on the boardwalk & beach were lots of people experiencing homelessness. There were tarps on carts, and several tents. Many were sleeping directly on the sand with blankets, and sleeping at the public restroom areas- overnight and during the day. There were cleanup crews & safety teams daily in the early mornings. There was lots of despair. It was very sad.

This hotel is perfectly located on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Plenty of restaurants nearby. None on the property but just outside the entrance are several eateries. Great staff. Enjoyed the view from the Bungalows (rooftop).

Staff are excellent and communicate by text ahead of check in for assistance. The room was spectacular! The front lobby doors are secure and procedures are very safe. Many amenities. Tried boxed water!

The hotel is in an excellent location. The rooms were very nice studio style has a mini fridge. We spent a family weekend here for fathers day with our 3 month old. They had cribs and playpens available. Would definitely come stay here again.

Absolute gem of a hotel, and decently priced. Upsides: -amazing location (right on Venice beach) -clean room and halls -good curtains for my fellow late sleepers -very helpful staff (they actually have an overnight desk person, which is more than I can say for many other hotels in the area) Downsides: -they do charge $55 for valet, so if you bring a car, be ready for that. -the roof is a little underwhelming, as it lacks an Oceanside view.

Great service and super clean room

Photo misrepresented quality of beach view, it was just as much parking lot as beach. Cleaning staff missed a day even though had sign on door asking for service. Rooms have motion sensors that turn off lights/power in the room, which means two terrible nights of sleep when CPAP was inoperable. Place has much very much unrealized potential.

The hotel is located right on the beach and provides bikes and beach towels as part of its resort fees. Our room is clean and we love the decor. Hotel staff is friendly. Overall, we’ve enjoyed our stay and the convenience.

If you are looking for a standard "American" type room, this place is not for you. Very much a European style boutique hotel. Clean rooms, but not very spacious and very little storage available. No dressers, etc. Walking distance to everything on Venice Beach, we had a great time there. We would return.

Cute boutique hotel with history and charm. I’d definitely recommend the rooftop penthouse options, specifically PH 2 has amazing beach front views!! Very quiet and private up there. Community space offering side/sunset views as well. Our room was very well appointed, clean, large and comfy. Staff was pleasant. Grey central location for Venuce beach !

It was right on the boardwalk and this we like a lot, but what I didnt like was it was promoted as oceanview but it was more of a peek a boa view through a small window.

This is a nice hotel with excellent location on Venice Beach. Our biggest issue is that we were there 4 days and the TV did not work even after we reported the issue. While we were gone during the day at that price point it would have been nice to watch TV in the evening before bed and early in the morning. The staff was friendly and the room was cleaned upon request.

Old building on the Venice Beach strip. Rooms are extremely small and the streaming TV buffers. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel experience, look elsewhere, but if you want to be beachside on a budget, this will do the trick. Each room equipped with complimentary skateboards to use during your stay.

Everything is great at first glance. However, the walls and ceiling/floors are thin and you can hear every footstep very loudly. Also, the room is good for one person but know that there is no door to the shower room so I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone.

Fantastic location. Uniquely designed rooms, clean and updated. Very nice products for use in the rooms. Can be loud at times depending on what you are facing.

The hotel was excellent. We booked a penthouse rooftop room and the view was amazing. The room pictured on my booking conformation wasnt the room we got, but it was still beautiful. The only issues were the TV didnt work and the elevator was occasionally down. The room was overlooking the Venice Boardwalk, so it can be a bit loud, but closing the windows shut out most of the sound. Will definitely stay again on our next trip here!

One of the Worst Hotel Experiences of My Life – Stay Away! Our stay at Venice V Hotel was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We booked what was advertised as a PH Bungalow Penthouse with ocean view—but instead, we were given a completely different room with no real ocean view at all. At best, there was a tiny side window where you could barely catch a sliver of the ocean if you strained your neck, but the main “view” was of the ugly building across the street. We specifically reserved a room with a king-size bed, but the bed was nowhere near king size—barely even a queen. To make matters worse, the pillows and blankets were some of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. The photos on Expedia are extremely misleading. They show images of multiple different rooms, giving the false impression that you’re booking a spacious, luxurious suite. In reality, the room we got was cramped and nothing like the pictures. Most reputable hotels show photos of the actual room type you’re booking—not here. For the price we paid, the amenities were a joke. The room didn’t even have a mini fridge—which is absolutely ridiculous for a so-called “penthouse” room. And the customer service? Easily some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Every request we made was met with a blunt “No, we can’t.” Even the manager was shockingly rude and dismissive. I strongly urge anyone considering this place to *stay far, far away*. Save yourself the money, stress, and dissapointment

Our experiences Venice V was amazing. Gabriel at the front desk was SUPER friendly and the hotel was clean, welcoming and had such fun decor. Very, well located, steps to the Venice boardwalk. Didn’t have a single problem or complaint. The room was SO FREAKING COOL.

Was woken up at 3:00am twice by a wake up call that I did not order. Very annoying and disappointing. This was the second grouping of calls that I received that I did not ask for. Felt like the hotel was playing a prank that was not appreciated. Also had to valet park my car on the property when the lot was around the corner.

All about the location. V characterful hotel right on Venice Beach boardwalk

The room was trendy and clean but water coming from the faucets was white instead of clear. The area around the hotel felt unsafe, smelly, loud, and dirty - many homeless people yelling/fighting at night; weed was stinking up the air; and police on a loud speaker was disturbing our sleep. The valet parking has only a few slots for cars and the streets around the hotels are super narrow and difficult to drive on. If this hotel was in a better location, it would have been amazing.

Nice property as long as you know what you are booking from a noise and crowds. It’s Venice Beach strand that should tell you but it shouldn’t scare you away either as staff and hotel are good

The property and staff were amazing. Very great hotel and dog friendly. We had to evacuate due to palisades fire destroying our house and town so just was nervous when we walked our dog outside and homeless were yelling at us.

This area of Venice Beach has gone down hill over the past few years

This hotel is right by Venice Beach - so if you want to stay in that location it’s perfect. Venice, a block or so inland, is really interesting and the canal area idyllic but the half mile or so strip of “iconic” Venice Beach front not so much; tacky stalls, homelessness and drug use pretty prevalent. Didn’t feel unsafe at any time but it’s a bit of an edgy spectacle including every flavour of weirdo. The beach is beautiful, Muscle Beach activity fun to watch, the sunsets are glorious and the whole area has bags of atmosphere. Venice V has history and character, but like everything everywhere in LA, feels 50% overpriced. Not it’s fault but you don’t get much for your money. Service was mostly really polite when asked for and the property is immaculate but there are no meals and no room service unless requested, so don’t expect any pampering. You can borrow some bikes for a couple of hours which I’d recommend. Happy with my choice but the alternatives aren’t exactly abundant unless you pay even more.

Right on the Venice beach boardwalk

You couldn't ask for a better area. The property is directly on Venice Beach across from the Skate Board Park. Parking is right around the corner.

The property is in a great location. Best to get a room on a higher floor or be prepared to be awaken by house music by the local vendors and foot traffic.

Excellent location right in the heart of Venice. Walk to the beach, Abbott-Kinney for shopping and dining.

Right on the ocean. Close to local shops and restaurants. Great view and excellent services. Rooms are renovated and interior designs are impressive. It's right on the board walk so it is not quite like a temple due to people and music but it was the part of the fun.

This hotel was phenomenal. Venice Beach is stunning and at the hotel’s doorstep. This hotel felt very safe and clean to come home to; the rooms, the robes and the soaps were all lovely at the end of busy days. The staff were always very welcoming and helpful. They knew us by name. Their breakfast recommendations (Fig Tree) and dinner recommendations (Great White) were wonderful. The highlight of our stay was borrowing bikes and exploring our way up to Santa Monica and down to Marina Del Rey.

I recommend the Venice V hotel. The staff was amazing and the hotel was charming. Not the modern convenience of the 21st century, but nice. The shower was great. Great restaurants across from property. Unique experience. I enjoyed using their bicycles and going to Santa Monica Pier. I would stay there again.

My husband and I had never been to Venice Beach but this was the perfect hotel in the ideal spot. We enjoyed five days of pampering. The staff was extremely nice and the food stops around the location are awesome!

Loved our stay at Venice V Hotel. Our room was super cute & clean. Staff was welcoming & accommodating. We used the hotel bikes to ride on the beach. Right on the beach & the boardwalk! And there’s a coffee shop next door, we’d get a cup of coffee & sit outside in front of the hotel. We’d definitely stay there again!

Loved this hotel ! Great location, helpful and friendly staff. We loved our room we were in PH5 large rooftop room, stunning sunsets. Next time I would make sure I got a room that was beach front not at the back. The bikes at the hotel that we could use for free to cruise up with Santa Monica were a great bonus. Plenty of things to do and dining options. We walked to the restaurant Great White upon recommendation from a local and it was seriously good, clean food. Something we'd be craving.

Hotel was right on the boardwalk and we walked to many restaurants and bars. The coffee shop just outside of the hotel is amazing “groundwork”. Hotel history was awesome. The rooms are small but do the job. I liked that you could rent a bike. Venice beach is full of many “characters”.
