I loved this hotel. It's small, quiet and beautiful. The common areas are lovely for hanging out. Our room had a gas fireplace and so we were able to make it nice and cozy despite the cold. The bed was super comfy. The staff were friendly and spoke highly of the owners. The owner communicated directly with me via text. I want to go back to Buffalo, just to stay at this hotel again.

Very unique and wonderful stay. However, there are things you need to know beforehand: 1) There is no front desk. All access is through locks and codes. 2) Your confirmation email will say your codes will come 24 hours in advance. This is inaccurate as the codes are generated after the previous guest checks out, which may not fall before the 24 hour notice. 3) Parking is free but there are only 6 spots. We had to park on the street. Street is crowded but wasn't too bad. Also a $10 parking lot across the street. 4) A contact number is provided but is not available at all times. I highly suggest texting instead of calling. Once you make contact, Erin is very helpful. If you need early access, text and check availability.

Kind of weird to have no staff there but not too big a deal. Our room was unfortunately near the front door so very loud in the morning with people in the hallway. the building and decor were very nice and it was very clean. We would feel the cold air coming in the window so had to crank the heat. The bathroom was very cold with no heat of its own. Also the listing said parking was available but it was first come first serve and the lot is too small for all of the rooms to get a spot which felt a little stressful. We did like the area though and would stay there again.

Great remote check in with easy to follow instructions ahead of time, lovely room with great facilities, very comfy bed and really nice touch with the coffee machine, welcome snacks and supplies in the lobby, would definitely recommend

We loved The Edward. The beautiful decor and ambiance were outside of the ordinary, and we really enjoyed that. It was fun to take a long walk in the neighborhood and admire all the historic homes. Also enjoyed all the extra little treats they had out.

Beautiful renovated mansion in a great area of Buffalo. Easy check in with a text massage providing all the information we needed to gain access to the hotel and room. The decor inside was stunning with much attention to the small details. We stayed in ‘The Madison’ which was a quaint room on the first floor with a gas fireplace, very comfortable king bed, a huge tv with access to all our favorite steaming services. The mood lighting above the windows added to the ambiance of the beautifully decorated room. There was a huge shower with a waterfall shower head and all the necessities available. The amenities on the main floor met our needs perfectly-some snacks, water and an ice machine. We had a pleasant stay and would definitely return!

Beautiful room with tons of space and you never hear anyone else! One of my biggest issues with hotels is when you hear everyone else opening and closing their door, showering, watching tv, etc. We didn’t hear a peep in this room. Every detail was taken into account, it’s a great location walkable to restaurants and shops, lots of street parking, and very safe area. Would definitely stay here again!

The bed is amazing. The pillows are amazing ! We stayed one night in the Greene suite and was very impressed with the level of detailed cleanliness. Very much appreciated! When you’re away from home the two most important factors are comfort and cleanliness. The hotel itself is unique and well-managed. No staff available but was contacted by a staff member via text who gave us a contact number if we needed anything. The area is walkable (within a mile) for food coffee pharmacy. Parking is limited but the street parking is free. Great experience!

Loved our stay at the Edward Hotel. The place is beautiful and we absolutely loved the Green Suite. Staff member on site was pleasant and helpful. My only complaint is the water pressure in the shower was really low.

Very cool hotel! It almost felt like we were staying at a friend's house because the room had a very cozy feel with cool furniture and even a fireplace. Check in was easy. The only tiny drawback was that we were on the first floor and could hear the people upstairs walking around. We didn't hear their tv or anyone talking though. It was otherwise quiet and we slept great. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 and we'd definitely stay there again!

I work in hotels and I have to say the cleanliness from this hotel was above and beyond. They give you some snacks too which I find a lovely gesture. The only thing I would comment is that I stayed in a room on the ground floor and I could hear the noise from the room above me. Next time I'll stay on the upper floor if available but other than that it was perfect!

We had a very nice overnight stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The shower was nice with the rainfall shower head and the soaps/shampoo/conditioner was great. Only complaint was that the pillows were too big/overstuffed. Check in was all done virtually and responses via text were prompt. We stayed in the Madison (on the first floor) and our room was lovely. The bed was huge, and comfortable, and the shower was great.

This place was fabulous. We stayed in The Madison and it was beautiful, cozy and chic. Would absolutely stay again. Very reasonable price for the area. If you are someone who needs a front desk and lots of attention to check-in/out, you won't get it here. Instead everything is done electronically which suits me fine, it's very efficient and they know what they're doing. If you need anything, you can call or text the manager and they are very responsive. They email and/or text you your codes about an hour before check-in and it works beautifully. The instructions are very simple to follow. The only 2 things I didn't love, and this is personal to me YMMV, the rain shower was very pleasant but fixed into place and not at all adjustable, however, if you're very tall you will love it! Also I personally don't like one side of the bed up against the wall, but that's just me so take that with a grain of salt. Overall 5 stars.

I had trouble getting the coffee maker to work—at 7:00AM, the owner texts me to make all was well, and she had a new coffee maker in the room the next morning. Great customer service!

I had a great stay at the Edward and would stay there again. It's in a beautiful, very convenient part of Buffalo (just a few minutes by car to downtown and just a few minutes in the other direction to the AKG Museum) and my room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Note that the Edward operates on a completely contactless basis. They will send you a text with all the information you need to check in, park, etc. Although I very occasionally heard my fellow guests, I literally never saw another person when I was there for my one-night stay. That was a bit unusual! However, when I had a question about check-out, it was very easy to get a staff member on the phone. Perhaps this is the wave of the future for small, boutique hotels.

Communication from property was great despite there not being anyone on site. Someone was always quick to respond to questions. The coded doors were a bit tricky at first but easy to use once you get the hang of it. Great location, many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Property was quiet at night with minimal noise coming from guests staying above my room. I would definitely stay here again.

We like the being able to walk down to elmwood av and finding places to eat. If i stayed again I'd want 2nd floor so i wouldn't have to hear people walking around.

I had a great stay at the Edward and would stay there again. It's in a beautiful, very convenient part of Buffalo (just a few minutes by car to downtown and just a few minutes in the other direction to the AKG Museum) and my room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Note that the Edward operates on a completely contactless basis. They will send you a text with all the information you need to check in, park, etc. Although I very occasionally heard my fellow guests, I literally never saw another person when I was there for my one-night stay. That was a bit unusual! However, when I had a question about check-out, it was very easy to get a staff member on the phone. Perhaps this is the wave of the future for small, boutique hotels.

Communication from property was great despite there not being anyone on site. Someone was always quick to respond to questions. The coded doors were a bit tricky at first but easy to use once you get the hang of it. Great location, many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Property was quiet at night with minimal noise coming from guests staying above my room. I would definitely stay here again.

Great remote check in with easy to follow instructions ahead of time, lovely room with great facilities, very comfy bed and really nice touch with the coffee machine, welcome snacks and supplies in the lobby, would definitely recommend

This was a beautiful, spacious place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved that they had flavored creamers. Huge shower. Only negative … that isn’t the hotel’s fault was the parking. I arrived at late after my daughter’s wedding and no parking for 3 blocks. The staff were very friendly and responsive to a time restraint due to my daughter’s wedding. They were very accommodating. I would highly recommend The EdwRd. I stayed in the Kennedy Suite.

We loved The Edward. The beautiful decor and ambiance were outside of the ordinary, and we really enjoyed that. It was fun to take a long walk in the neighborhood and admire all the historic homes. Also enjoyed all the extra little treats they had out.

Beautiful renovated mansion in a great area of Buffalo. Easy check in with a text massage providing all the information we needed to gain access to the hotel and room. The decor inside was stunning with much attention to the small details. We stayed in ‘The Madison’ which was a quaint room on the first floor with a gas fireplace, very comfortable king bed, a huge tv with access to all our favorite steaming services. The mood lighting above the windows added to the ambiance of the beautifully decorated room. There was a huge shower with a waterfall shower head and all the necessities available. The amenities on the main floor met our needs perfectly-some snacks, water and an ice machine. We had a pleasant stay and would definitely return!

Parking was a breeze and very convenient being just a few steps from the front entrance. Staff were 'on line only' from providing digital entrance lock codes' to ensuring that we were in the hotel and settled. They were very professional online, thoughtful and thorough. They were also helpful in providing suggestions for local dineries.

Beautiful old building that has been charmingly restored. We stayed in the Deco room and found it comfortable and nicely finished. The hallway mural is fantastic, and the grand old home was quiet and clean. Love the Elmwood village neighborhood behind it, great spot for a few nights

Overall we had a nice stay. The location is great for walking into Elmwood Village. The property is not clearly labeled and we struggled to identify which building the hotel was located in. We appreciated the very easy check-in process, and we took advantage of the snacks in the lobby. Unfortunately the walls were quite thin and we could hear our neighbors both from within our room and when walking through the hallway. The water pressure in the shower was not very strong. Otherwise everything was satisfactory.

Overall we had a nice stay. The location is great for walking into Elmwood Village. The property is not clearly labeled and we struggled to identify which building the hotel was located in.
