The Scout Inn is located on the main street in Cody, WY, with easy access to restaurants and shopping. A nice bar and restaurant in front of the Inn have friendly staff. Check-in was easy. Note there is no elevator access to the second floor. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a coffee make and coffee, mini-fridge, and microwave.

The Scout is a hidden gem, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room was simple but clean, and they even supplied a goodie bag with beer coozies, ear plugs, sleep masks, liquid IV and a bottle of water. The bar located in the parking lot, Blanca Tatanka, was also surprisingly good as far as food goes. Highly recommend this place, you won't be sorry, especially for the price.

Saubere, zweckmäßig nette Unterkunft in guter Lage um fußläufig das Stadtzentrum erkunden zu können. Kein Frühstück, aber schräg gegenüber kann man im Granny's Restaurant sehr gut frühstücken. Die angeschlossene Blanca Tatanca Bar bietet Essen und Live Music, welche die halbe Nacht bis in die Zimmer zu hören ist. Gute Ohrstöpsel mitbringen, dann empfehlenswert.

The house keeping does the absolute minimum, floor was crunchy. Opening the door between the rooms there was all kinds of dirt and stuff that hadnt been swept in who knows how long. If you want hot water for a shower make sure to get up at 6am. Walls are so thin you can hear people checking in at the front desk and conversations from neighboring rooms. Bed was clean and comfortable so that was a plus

The location itself was highly convenient, but that’s about where the good stuff ends. The bedding had a lot of OTHER PEOPLES hair in the sheets and there was a pretty alarming stain on the carpet. My biggest issue was that I was awakened at about 2:20am due to the staff member getting involved in a personal altercation which led to the cops being called, it was super unprofessional and ruined the stay.

Ice maker is broken. The beds are very hard, pillows are all huge and overstuffed, if you are a side or stomach sleeper, you are out of luck. Parking is limited. Hall noise is significant, can hear next room pretty easily through walls. They do provide ear plugs to help some.

The front staff person Carrie was super nice, and helpful regarding my questions. She's a keeper. The room was very clean. My only negatives are not likely fixable: the garbage trucks picking up before dawn on Fri 10/17 and Sat 10/18 woke me up when the bin met the truck, and the thin walls meant even at normal talking volume I knew what my neighbors in the room across the hall were saying when in their own room.

The receptionist at the desk was outstanding ! I lost an Micro SD card in the aprking lot and she went out and serched all over the parking lot looking for it. She really demonstrated outstanding customer service! She didn't have to do that but she did. She really is a credit to your hotel and next time I am in the area I wil stay at your hotel I will also reccomend your hotel to anyone else that I know heading to Yellowstone or will be anywhere near the Cody, WY area. Thank you so much !

According to the email I received with my reservation confirmation, check-in is open until 11 pm. But when we arrived at 9 pm to check in, the door was locked and there was only a telephone number posted on the desk inside, which you could barely see through the door, to call. We called the number. There we were, standing in a howling blizzard with below zero wind chill, yelling over the phone to a guy who couldn’t hear because his TV was on too loud. I had made a reservation but he acted like he didn’t know what we were talking about. I know it’s a holiday weekend, but this is really the worst customer service I have ever seen.

Clay was INCREDIBLE! He was friendly, GENUINE, and knowledgeable! He went above and beyond to make our stay(which was a last minute booking) amazingly smooth. The property alone was GORGEOUS! Very well taken care of and in a great area of Cody.

What a wonderful little Inn. The most friendly staff. From the moment i walked in the door i was greeted by a lovely young lady that made me feel like we were friends. The room was very clean and had the nicest little surprises. The beds were super comfortable too. Its such a quaint and charming place. There is a restaurant out front we didn't eat there because we had already had dinner but boy it smelled delicious. I will definitely be staying here again if i find myself back in Cody.

We always enjoy our stay at the Scout Inn, located right on Sheridan in the heart of Cody. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome every time. The rates are very reasonable, and the hotel offers all the amenities we need—including a convenient restaurant right in front and easy walking access to everything in town. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Good location to stay in Cody, good parking and easy check in. The place has been remodelled, but cosmetically. The showers are still pretty old and plastic, but they do the job. We had some stains on the bedding, but it appeared to be old stains that haven’t come out in the wash, it looked clean. The “continental breakfast” is barely worth mentioning. It’s basically, drip coffee, bananas, donuts and that’s it. Clean and reasonably priced. Restaurant next door is decent.

Convenient location Clean room Breakfast offering was small cups for coffee on the hallway and tiny doughnuts and one bite cupcakes. It was also oatmeal envelopes with no bowls provided for to microwave First day our provided coffee in our room was Decaf and the reason was they were out of regular coffee . Second and third day we had to go downstairs to hallway breakfast area to get small cup coffee Management gave us an attitude for asking about having regular coffee to use with the coffee machine in our room. Very disappointed with the attitude of the management .

The Scout is a hidden gem, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room was simple but clean, and they even supplied a goodie bag with beer coozies, ear plugs, sleep masks, liquid IV and a bottle of water. The bar located in the parking lot, Blanca Tatanka, was also surprisingly good as far as food goes. Highly recommend this place, you won't be sorry, especially for the price.

Saubere, zweckmäßig nette Unterkunft in guter Lage um fußläufig das Stadtzentrum erkunden zu können. Kein Frühstück, aber schräg gegenüber kann man im Granny's Restaurant sehr gut frühstücken. Die angeschlossene Blanca Tatanca Bar bietet Essen und Live Music, welche die halbe Nacht bis in die Zimmer zu hören ist. Gute Ohrstöpsel mitbringen, dann empfehlenswert.

Comfortable room, nice beds and facilities. Included breakfast very limited - pastries etc. but as described. Helpful staff nd a nice welcome. Like many hotel of similar type we did get lots of noise from neighbouring room with connecting door to ours, and the plumbing noises all round! But overall a comfortable clean and convenient place to stopover.

Wish the onsite restaurant served breakfast but Wendy’s is right across the street. The restaurant and lounge was very popular and we enjoyed it twice!

Loved all the extra goodies. Very clean room. Bed very comfortable. Drawback: no elevator, and it was pretty loud. But they did provide ear plugs.

My family and I were an extremely late arrival. I called and spoke to Justin who assured me that when I arrived, I would be able to get my rooms. He sent me a text message with complete instructions with pictures so that I had no issues. Not only that, he was thoughtful enough to put some chocolate bars in each room with extra towels and toilet paper because he knew how long of a drive we had that day. Thank you, Justin! The free water that was available daily was also a definite plus for us and I also used the laundry machines which were well maintained. The availability of filling up ice bags from the ice machine was also a pleasant surprise since we did have a cooler. The spacious rooms and LVT flooring instead of carpet was a nice update, along with the added items in the room, like earplugs, eye masks, a bottle opener and a lens cloth. My only critique is that the walls and doors are not very well insulated and you can hear quite a bit in the mornings; however, I was on the first floor by the desk so it is a busy area. This one thing would not keep me from coming back. The location is great, and most places are within walking distance. If you book a tour, most agencies will pick you up directly at this hotel, so this was another convenience that made our trip less stressful. I will definitely be making this my go to hotel in the future.

This was our 2nd stay and now I can't imagine staying anywhere else when in Cody. The staff was exceptionally nice, the rooms are very clean and spacious. AND the hotel has thoughtful little gifts to make sure you are extra comfortable.
