Nicely renovated bathroom, comfortable bed, warm central heating when the weather is 4°. The share kitchen facilities are excellent with everything you could want even though I only used it for breakfast. Parking right outside. Quiet at this time of year so not sure how quiet the room would be from traffic noise at peak time. The only noise is from other guests.

Great location! Accommodation is clean and the beds are comfortable. Well equipped kitchen! Supermarket is on walking distance. Great please. Would definitely stay here again!

Location was great. We got lucky and had a room with a view of Kirkjufell out our window. Room and bathroom is small. Kitchen and frig downstairs that everyone could use. Tables too which was nice. It was clean and communication from the host for check-in, etc was really good. You never saw anyone though.

Good location. Would have an amazing view from the room if it wasn't foggy and storming this am (not pictured in photo- the mountains and ocean). Room is comfortable with a clean, modern bathroom. Room is on the small side. Bed quite comfortable. Nice common area and kitchen.

Nice facility. Very clean room and excellent bathroom and mattresses and sheets. Neighborhood was a little blah, but easily within walking distance of town center and harbor. Basic building. Classic Icelandic concrete boxes. No staff on property, nor at front desk. No lobby to speak of. Decent easy place to rest and refresh, parking right out front and great view of Snelllness mountain (Game of Thrones). Great value for your dollar, I recommend it

Property manager was extremely kind when checking in. We had an amazing view from our room. Room was extremely clean and area was very safe. For our first night on our first trip to Iceland it was a great experience!

We really enjoyed our stay overall, however the room was very warm and the one window we could open a few inches had to be propped to stay open. The room was clean. Loved the communal kitchen and dining area.

About as bare bones as a hotel can get. One pillow per bed, no extra blankets or towels. Walls were bare. Nobody there to check you in - all done remotely. No coffee maker and nothing open in town to get that first cup in the morning.

Rooms are very tiny, as the hotel is quite literally an old post office. There isn't really a front desk; you call a number and get a code to get in. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and clean.

Quirky building (well - it’s an old post office!) and functional, clean rooms. Well equipped communal kitchen. The rooms are very small and the bathroom door does not completely shut (it’s sliding) which is slightly disappointing for the price.

The customer service was outstanding. We booked room 21 for 2 nights, £160 per night. Compared to the other 10 hotels we stayed in across Iceland it had what we needed, but was more basic and cramped. The facilities included are excellent as is the location. I would get rid of the table in the room and have 2 side tables as one bed is against the window. Only 2 hangers and a few hooks. Toilet close to shower, general room a tight squeeze with little room for luggage. View of cars and main road. No noise though, we slept very well. This is a nice place to stay, but we didn’t feel the room we were in was good value for money, but know other rooms were absolutely fine. We were recommended a fabulous restaurant, Mathus, the food was delicious. Great coffee shop recommendation too. Host was great.

Since this was located in a small fishing town, I wasn’t excepting a whole lot and was very pleasantly surprised. The check-in process was very easy (considering there is no staff on premise). The room was large, bed was comfortable, and shower was great (stayed hot thru 2 back-to-back showers). Would have liked a second pillow for the bed and some hand towels. Other than that, no complaints.

Easy check in and check out. Restaurant within walk-in distance. Kitchen was a bit crowded so I am glad we didn’t plan to cook. Just a few minutes away from beautiful view of the water and sunset. We drove for about 5-10 minutes and got to see northern lights. It’s located in a cute small town. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay in town with views of Kirkjufell in the background. Easy parking with walkable distance to coffee shops, restaurants and grocery store. Our room was clean and comfy. Our only complaint was that we were told check-in was until 10pm, however, when we got off the Baldur ferry and arrived at 9pm, there was nobody at the desk, nobody answered the phone (we called numerous times) and nobody was at the coffee shop either (an alternative place to find someone to check in per their instructions). After awhile, we were very fortunate to find another couple coming back from their walk to let us in.

Rooms are ok, shower was nice, as a goodie we got a coffee voucher for a local café, very good coffee. Restaurants are close by. Perfect for a stopover/one night.

The setting is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. Having the kitchen facilities was great—we were able to prepare breakfast and were given a voucher for a free coffee at a wonderful place down the street. All in all, an excellent stay!

We stayed there the first night of our Iceland trip because it is in the middle of the Reykjavik and the west peninsula. There is a full kitchen and there not many dining options in the area.

The property has a communal kitchen that allows travelers to cook their own full meals. Very convenient even though we did not cook. Since Iceland food is expensive this was a plus.

Easy check in and check out. Restaurant within walk-in distance. Kitchen was a bit crowded so I am glad we didn’t plan to cook. Just a few minutes away from beautiful view of the water and sunset. We drove for about 5-10 minutes and got to see northern lights. It’s located in a cute small town. Highly recommend.

Excellent location, nice view, and amenities. And the card for the free coffee at Valeria specialty coffee was such a nice touch. Best coffee I had all trip! Thanks so much!

Clean and efficient place to stay. Room had a tv! We were surprised with coffee vouchers for the coffee shop- which had extremely impressive coffee. Would definitely recommend.

We were glad someone was able to help us with accessing the property when we arrived. It can be a bit confusing if you don't read and follow all of the steps. The room was clean and comfortable. My friend got the best night sleep she's had during our entire 9 nights here in Iceland. If you want to stay in the area, this is a nice choice. Be aware, there are stairs and no elevator was available to move luggage.

The Old Post Office was really nice. Clean rooms, nice shower, great beds, nice linens - and great to have access to the kitchen on the bottom floor. It really helped out. Only problem was the opening of the guesthouse/door to the room. Digital solutions are not allways the best option when you have no internet och low battery - or as in my case not too accquainted with digital solutions. But in generally very good! Thanks!

Really charming spot overlooking Kirkjufell mountain, walk to kayaking, shops and restaurants. Cook your own food, full kitchen facilities and tables for families to dine. We loved it!

little remote place with everything you need. once we figure out access thru the app it worked out great for us. room small but clean, could have used one extra towel.
