Beautiful Inn overlooking the river in Bracebridge with a lovely restaurant underneath and big outdoor patio. The nearby water activities and nature trails were fun and relaxing. The price was relatively reasonable because we booked well in advance and a continental breakfast was included. Good value and beautiful spot. Highly recommend this Inn!

Overalla nice place to stay but needs work to rate any higher. The good - location is excellent. Lots of free parking and walking distance to 'Falls' and downtown Needs work - service in Basilico was friendly but slow! Only 3 tables on the patio were occupied and there were 2 servers but took over 15 minutes to get our drinks Surrounding tables were not cleared and garbage and cleaning supplies were out in the open. Did not eat so cannot comment on the food. However, as someone in the culinary industry it leads me to question if this is how they keep the outside, what does the kitchen look like. Rooms were comfortable but in need of painting. Lots of paint chips on the walls. Bathroom is small and water temperature fluctuates during the showers. Be warned..starts ideal then freezing to scalding and back to ideal

There was no warning about renovations. Did not know that on site dining wasn't available until I checked in. Very disappointed! Fire escape from second floor is an unsafe condition.

The Inn is a river front location that is a minute walk to downtown Bracebridge. Lovely outside lounging area with Muskoka chairs, fire pit. We were there between seasons for family visit and its a perfect spot for relaxing. Am comp breakfast served in a pretty dining room. Relaxing chairs in lounge. This is our 2nd stay and we'll be back.

The Inn At The Falls was clean,Quiet, Staff was friendly. The property outside was clean but could need some gardening update. Very easy to find and close to all shopping and food services. We will go back next time we visit family.

Had a lovely stay as a family for a night at the Inn. The kids loved the outdoor activities (and the Netflix on the room TV), while we enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony and the quiet enjoyment of the scenery. The staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast served all of us well. Wish I’d booked more than one night. We will be back!

The check in process was easy and the lady at the desk walked us right to our room and gave a rundown of the room amenities. The property itself is beautiful especially on a warm, late summer day. The onsite Italian restaurant was fairly priced, the food and service quality were great! The only 2 things I wish were better, 1 - parking getting into spaces was a bit tight with my F150. 2 - water pressure and water temp in the shower. Neither of these are show stoppers and won't deter me from coming back.

The Inn is welcoming and the owner is lovely and seems to care about their guests, but unfortunately it’s in need of repairs, refurbishing and cleaning. The main house is lovely, but the windows need washing and refreshing. The breakfast area is lovely and we sat in the window which is why we became aware that the windows had not been washed in a while. We’d visited Muskoka as a health getaway, especially wanting fresh air and serenity. The Inn’s photos looked idyllic. Unfortunately our King room windows did not have screens, so we could not sleep with the windows open, even though it was a beautiful crisp night, with unseasonably warm days. It also was not quiet; we heard the neighbours walking, the dog next door whining and a shower woke us up in the early morning, even before the fire alarm went off for what seemed eternity. Unfortunately, our wish for a peaceful Muskoka escape was not what we’d hoped for. The room itself needs some TLC, as does the bathtub… both chipped and needing repair. The view from the balcony is spectacular with the autumn colours, and the giant outdoor chess game looks inviting. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice. As I’m having health issues, we chose to eat elsewhere as I can’t eat pasta or meat. But it’s rumoured to be good. We’d like to think it is. All said, I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but the hope is the owners will hire the right people to make the Inn the grand stay guests deserve.

Pros: Very nice location overlooking Muskoka River near the falls. Friendly staff. Our had a light renov with new carpet, paint. Bed very comfortable and quiet AC. Our room had a nice view of the river and very scenic. Cons: black and pink mold all over the bathroom was a huge turn off! Mold is on the shower curtains, bath tub, tile grout. Should have been an easy fix and disappointed they didn’t even bother to sanitize or change the shower curtains.

Staff was quick, knowledgeable, and friendly, The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. While the shower was small, it was clean and worked well with lots of hot water. The 6 AM coffee and Continental breakfast were great. Too many places have nothing open until 7 or later.

Our room in the Mews had a security light from the main building blinding us when we were on the balcony and light streamed into our room because the curtains were not black out and didn’t close fully. The room was shabbier than we expected and the bathroom had a layer of dust as well as a nasty tub and sink. It did not feel or smell clean. The breakfast was uninspired. It was too costly to be such a dump. The one staff member we met was kind and pleasant though. I would never recommend this hotel.

Stayed in the “mews”, a separate building from the main hotel. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Room was cheerful, but tired. Comfortable bed, pillows and sheets. Room included a tv, mini fridge, iron, AC unit, and non-working coffee maker. Wraparound porch was amazing with great view of the river. It looked like there had been some updates… hallway had been painted cheerful colors, but other areas needed some attention. Windows were tough to open, bathroom was in need of an update and a fan, porch and outside paint was peeling. A bit disturbing: the room smelled heavily of fabreeze on arrival. When it dispersed, a musty smell was present. Moisture marks on the ceiling and a dehumidifier running in the hallway made us wonder if there was a mold issue. Okay for a more affordable option, but would hope the owners can make some updates. Could be a great, not just okay hotel. Walkable to restaurants, shops and walking trails.

It was good but the heat in the room was terrible, took all night to come up to 20 degrees, i do not think the radiators worked, only a small heater was working, out side it was minus 20.

The setting of the inn just at the edge of the old part of town is great! The view of the river is nice. "Superior" room in the Mews is average - needs an updated/renovated bathroom. Walls are very thin in the Mews. Next time we will get Premium room. Restaurant Basilica's was excellent.

The room wae okay, the resraurant very good, but I was very disappointed that there was no cable tv. Just an app for movies and old tv shows. I had to go out to a bar to watch that evening's Maple Leaf hockey game. Not good.

this is an old property so facilities are not perfect but that does not detract from the stay. I would recommend fixing the door to the room we stayed in so it does not require such force to close it and to have it block out the light from the hall better. You will want some white noise in the room to block out the sounds from neighbouring rooms.

Really enjoyed the room. Great view of the river and big spacious balcony that was wonderful to relax on with a morning coffee. The only negative was the Netflix being the only option...tried to watch a movie, but gave up because it would keep buffering literally every minute. So no tv option...reception said it was a problem in the area? The hotel was in a great location as well.

Overalla nice place to stay but needs work to rate any higher. The good - location is excellent. Lots of free parking and walking distance to 'Falls' and downtown Needs work - service in Basilico was friendly but slow! Only 3 tables on the patio were occupied and there were 2 servers but took over 15 minutes to get our drinks Surrounding tables were not cleared and garbage and cleaning supplies were out in the open. Did not eat so cannot comment on the food. However, as someone in the culinary industry it leads me to question if this is how they keep the outside, what does the kitchen look like. Rooms were comfortable but in need of painting. Lots of paint chips on the walls. Bathroom is small and water temperature fluctuates during the showers. Be warned..starts ideal then freezing to scalding and back to ideal

What we liked: clean room, great view of the falls, scenic area, quiet and comfortable sleep What we would like to see improved: no EV charging, no cable TV, no USB to charge phones, dated furniture+decor+bathroom, seemed understaffed This is a very nice hotel in a century building on a scenic property. Although comfortable and functional, it felt like it was stuck in the 80's - not quite vintage, not quite modern. We would not hesitate to stay here again, but would love to see the untapped potential utilized more.

Many thanks to the reception staff that kindly accommodated a very late check-out for us. Our car broke down and we needed that extra time to find a solution to return to Toronto. Great stay, we will be back soon.

Perfect location - loved the breakfast area as well as Basilico restaurant. Great views in fall from the room! The room itself was very cozy with all required amenities! Wonderful customer experience from the staff - we were greeted by the reception with a personal guided tour of the property and our room. Would love to come back here for another relaxing vacation! Definitely recommended!

Check in was great! The Inn is dated and bedroom windows don’t open. The fire alarm went off early this morning. There was no fire and it took them 45 minutes to turn it off! No apologies and not even a good morning when we went down for the terrible continental breakfast.

Very pleasant stay. However before checking out the door opened to have the room cleaned, they were very apologetic, and fortunately I was fully dressed. Restaurant was nice, good food. Breakfast as described was just a continental, pretty basic, but was fine.

Overall a very nice stay at Inn at the Falls. Mostly there to sleep following some hiking. Room was very clean, fixtures were a bit dated. Bed was comfortable, AC was very strong in the room. Restauraunt behind the hotel was excellent, great Italian food steps away from your door.

Beautiful Inn overlooking the river in Bracebridge with a lovely restaurant underneath and big outdoor patio. The nearby water activities and nature trails were fun and relaxing. The price was relatively reasonable because we booked well in advance and a continental breakfast was included. Good value and beautiful spot. Highly recommend this Inn!

The history of the space is quite interesting but the maintenance is lacking. Loose tiles in the bathroom, shower curtain that doesn't close, inconsistent water temperature. The bed however was very comfortable. It's nice that there is a fridge and coffee but no conditioner, just a 2 in 1 which does no favours for my hair and no lotion (good thing I brought my own). We ate at the restaurant, Basilico. The outdoor patio is nice and clean and service was good and staff is friendly but this is far from a fine dining experience. The margarita pizza was covered in a thick layer of overcooked cheese and 5 pieces of basil dropped on top. The gnocchi was dry and had very little flavour. Should have eaten elsewhere.

Loved the victorian charm of the historical Inn. Service was excellent, Gillian at reception went out of her way to make sure we were taking care of. The italian restaurant onsite called Basilico was superb. Staff and Chef went above and beyond to serve our delicious meal - best mushroom pasta and chicken parmesan we had in a long time. Enjoyed the continental breakfast and view - will definitely visit again.

Don't overthink the reservation. The Inn at the Falls is in a great location to downtown and overlooks the Muskoka River. I chose one of the Standard Rooms (No View, No Balcony) and as a lone traveller provided everything I needed.

We first visited this charming inn back in 1985, and returned this week for our 40th anniversary. Inn at the Falls has since been thoughtfully renovated, retaining the feeling that you are staying in a century home (actually, 150 years old) with modern amenities like a Jacuzzi bathtub and Wi-Fi. Our suite was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our balcony looked out on manicured lawns and the river. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly (especially Janice). And the restaurant on site was wonderful too. Just a five-minute walk from The Old Station restaurant (also excellent) and the shopping district. Wonderful stay!
