I had a great one night stay at the Dear Lisbon - Palace Chiado Suites. This is not a hotel to book if you have trouble with stairs, but they do everything possible to make it as easy as possible, including moving your luggage for you promptly. Super friendly staff, unique accommodation and great breakfast delivered to your room. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful old building with magnificent rooms and views. No lift and stairs are quite steep to manage. Breakfast served in room. Mix of food would not suit everyone. Overall a lovely experience though.

Having never before been to Lisbon, I didn’t know what the best areas were and where to stay. Well I hit the jackpot with this hotel, just one plus off a main street with shopping and restaurants. The staff was so helpful with suggestions and knowledge of the city with recommendations. The cost considering the room size and full breakfast was simply amazing!!! The only downside is there is no lift, so if you have trouble with stairs you might consider another hotel.

I stayed here just for a night when returning from Porto and before leaving Portugal. It's near the top of the hill for Chiado and only a few blocks from the shopping area and very convenient for restaurants in the area. I had room #9 and it was enormous with two windows overlooking much of the city including views of the waterfront and the Castelo Sao Jorge. I mentioned to them one small maintenance issue when I departed but otherwise everything was flawless. For those with mobility issues, be aware that because this is a former Palace, it does NOT have an elevator and there are 33 steps to access the level with the rooms.

It's near the top of the hill for Chiado and only a few blocks from the shopping area and very convenient for restaurants in the area. I had room #9 and it was enormous with two windows overlooking much of the city including views of the waterfront and the Castelo Sao Jorge. Everything about the property was excellent. We really enjoyed the staff and their helpfulness, they went out of their way to make our stay special. We highly recommend the property and would visit them again if ever in the area. Our room is extremely large with huge sitting area. The bathroom was a bit small relative to the room size but nothing to complain about. The breakfast was phenomenal and delivered promptly each morning. The rooms are 3 flights up without a lift, but the staff handled out luggage. So it's not a problem unless you have mobility problems.

The property is located in a busy area and does not have double glazing so, if your room is on the front, as ours was wear ear plugs - they are provided. There is a North African influence here, and that shows in the breakfast, which is served in your room each day. The best thing of all are the staff, who are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Único ponto negativo é a falta de elevador, são vários lances de escadas. O lugar é muito confortável, meu quarto tinha uma vista incrível e era muito espaçoso, só o barulho do pressurizador de água que incomoda um pouco.

Fabulous boutique hotel in a lovely central part of Lisbon close to everything. Staff welcoming and helpful, superb breakfast, comfortable beds, huge bedroom and bathroom. Lovely decor, it feels like you’re staying somewhere far more expensive and palacial. The only negatives are noise. We were on the street side of the hotel and it was very noisy late into the night, first revellers then bin collections. By night 2 we had resorted to ear plugs to be able to sleep. The water system also creates quite a lot of noise whenever water is run or a toilet flushed. We loved our stay here but, if noise is a concern, it might not be the perfect choice for everyone.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean facilities. Daily breakfast was outstanding. Room had beautiful views of city and river. Convenient location to many attractions and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Boutique hotel in pieno centro molto carino, con camere ampie e una bella vista. Buona la colazione servita in camera all'ora prescelta. Unica pecca la rampa di scale ripida e senza ascensore. Da migliorare perché non all'altezza di un 4*: - sedie imbottite e asciugamani frusti - mancano ganci per appendere gli asciugamani - no kleenex - stanza male illuminata - riscaldamento insufficiente - armadio troppo piccolo

Opholdet skuffede i forhold til forventningerne, Positivt: central beliggenhed i charmerende bydel. Fin udsigt over vandet og til borgen. Meget stort værelse, men sparsomt møbleret. Venlig og imødekommende reception. Rengøringen i orden. Meget lidt støj fra gaden. Negativt: ingen i receptionen efter kl. 5p.m. Vi måtte selv checke ind, Ca 50 trin op ad trappen - ingen elevator. Ingen forhåndsinformation mht tider for morgenmad mv. Der manglede hårtørrer på værelset, som vi dog fik efter vi havde påtalt det. Der var kun to stole i værelset, som både skulle bruges ved afslapning og til spisning, eftersom morgenmaden skulles indtages på værelset. Der var kun et lille rundt bord, normalt ville man forvente en form for arbejdsplads til computer og lign. Badeværelse og toilet var helt åbent ud til gangen - altså uden dør, det har vi ikke prøvet før!!!

Everything was exceptional. The room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. We were able to open the windows for fresh air. A special thanks to Miguel, Sakib and Januka who made our stay perfect. We highly recommend the Palace Chiado and we will definitely return.

Wonderful location for restaurants, shopping and walking to various must see area. Also close to metro and train. However our room (deluxe suite), thuogh generous in size need at a minimum a coat of paint - wall and doors were chipped and dirty. Our room doors did not seal properly so hallway light was constant all night long. Windows and shutters appear to be original and do not filter out any noise. We could hear people talking late at night, and then there were was garbage pick up 2x in 4 nights, in the middle of the night. There is also a private club in the same building tht holds events - we could hear these as well and were told nothing coukd be done. Understandably this is a older building, but these are things that could be fixed to sone degree. Our room was to have a 'city view' - our view was the building (windows) across the narrow street - which also forced us to lose the shutters for privacy.

We loved the location. We did request a ride from the airport and notified them that there were 4 people. We were picked up by a small car that barely accomodated our luggage. They had a difficult time working with the fact that there were 2 different rooms booked and neither couple were planning on having breakfast together. Also we were given the key to a room that had the wrong name on the welcome letter. The room was truly beautiful with high ceilings and beautiful comfortable bed. The baseboards needed a coat of paint and the carpet although very clean really needed an update. The worse part of the stay was the fact that whenever you used water in the bathroom the pipes would vibrate very loudly. You could not use the toilet at night for fear of waking up your partner.

EASILY the best stay on our Europe Trip Honeymoon! I am sad I can’t give it more than 5 stars!!! This hotel is the most accommodating that we have gone to on our honeymoon (4 countries visited) & it was so affordable! The cost of in suite snacks/drinks, transportation etc through the hotel was so helpful and affordable. Plus the staff were so nice and really made it feel like a special experience. The only downsides was that the street can be loud, but that is just because we were in the heart of Lisbon and that came with the location so it did not bother us at all. Never rlly heard our neighbors (in the building) so it was quiet inside. The atmosphere in the building and the room felt very historical which gave it a unique edge over other places we looked at staying, but it is even more beautiful in person. Huge room & bathroom & the WINDOWS!!! Huge with a cool view of the street. Ok. Now let’s talk breakfast: made us feel like Kings. Idk if for other people getting breakfast brought to your room is nbd, but for US this was royalty status behavior. Food was so good and they brought it us on a cart and it felt like a movie!!! Plus they changed it up everyday so we weren’t just eating the same thing all the time. Ultimately, this is one place you HAVE to stay at in Lisbon. Dear Lisbon made our trip to Portugal 💯/10 and I will be telling everyone about this experience forever (bc it’s our honeymoon ofc!!).

We had room 2, which was oversized and absolutely beautiful with a king bed but unfortunately the second day the air conditioner became faulty and we were moved to room 8. This was also a lovely room but it was half the size and had a queen bed, it did however have an incredible view of the city. The staff were lovely and it was in a great location.

Everything about the property was excellent. We really enjoyed the staff and their helpfulness, they went out of their way to make our stay special. We highly recommend the property and would visit them again if ever in the area. Our room is extremely large with huge sitting area. The bathroom was a bit small relative to the room size but nothing to complain about. The breakfast was phenomenal and delivered promptly each morning. The rooms are 3 flights up without a lift, but the staff handled out luggage. So it's not a problem unless you have mobility problems.

Boutique hotel in pieno centro molto carino, con camere ampie e una bella vista. Buona la colazione servita in camera all'ora prescelta. Unica pecca la rampa di scale ripida e senza ascensore. Wonderful location for restaurants, shopping and walking to various must see area. Also close to metro and train. However our room (deluxe suite), thuogh generous in size need at a minimum a coat of paint - wall and doors were chipped and dirty. Our room doors did not seal properly so hallway light was constant all night long. Windows and shutters appear to be original and do not filter out any noise. We could hear people talking late at night, and then there were was garbage pick up 2x in 4 nights, in the middle of the night. There is also a private club in the same building tht holds events - we could hear these as well and were told nothing coukd be done. Understandably this is a older building, but these are things that could be fixed to sone degree. Our room was to have a 'city view' - our view was the building (windows) across the narrow street - which also forced us to lose the shutters for privacy.

I had a great one night stay at the Dear Lisbon - Palace Chiado Suites. This is not a hotel to book if you have trouble with stairs, but they do everything possible to make it as easy as possible, including moving your luggage for you promptly. Super friendly staff, unique accommodation and great breakfast delivered to your room. I would highly recommend!

The moment you check into this hotel you will feel like royalty which makes sense since the building used to be a palace. The staff are very nice and will cater to your every need. Beautifully appointed spacious rooms with all the modern conveniences. They also provide you with a lovely hot breakfast personally delivered every morning to your room. One drawback though is that because it's an old building there is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage you are going to have to haul it up four or six flights of stairs depending on where your room is. This property is also located in a prime location with lots of sites no more than 15 minutes away and plenty of great places to eat and shop.

Opholdet skuffede i forhold til forventningerne, Positivt: central beliggenhed i charmerende bydel. Fin udsigt over vandet og til borgen. Meget stort værelse, men sparsomt møbleret. Venlig og imødekommende reception. Rengøringen i orden. Meget lidt støj fra gaden. Negativt: ingen i receptionen efter kl. 5p.m. Vi måtte selv checke ind, Ca 50 trin op ad trappen - ingen elevator. Ingen forhåndsinformation mht tider for morgenmad mv. Der manglede hårtørrer på værelset, som vi dog fik efter vi havde påtalt det. Der var kun to stole i værelset, som både skulle bruges ved afslapning og til spisning, eftersom morgenmaden skulles indtages på værelset. Der var kun et lille rundt bord, normalt ville man forvente en form for arbejdsplads til computer og lign. Badeværelse og toilet var helt åbent ud til gangen - altså uden dør, det har vi ikke prøvet før!!!

This hotel was awesome. The room was huge and amazing. Literally a palace room. Biggest hotel room I’ve ever been in. The staff were so amazing. They helped me out a lot to arrange a surprise for my fiancés birthday. Maria was great at responding as were the rest of her colleagues. Breakfast was also fantastic. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Definitely worth it!

Everything was exceptional. The room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. We were able to open the windows for fresh air. A special thanks to Miguel, Sakib and Januka who made our stay perfect. We highly recommend the Palace Chiado and we will definitely return.

Excellent from the moment we arrived, very friendly and welcoming staff. Ideal location, Our room was very spacious and comfortable and the in room breakfast was a treat. Very relaxing stay and great location for shopping and visiting Rossio Square. Would recommend drinks across the road at Rocco restaurant. We also utilized the airport car service from the hotel which was ideal for an early morning flight, great service! Would highly recommend.

We loved the location. We did request a ride from the airport and notified them that there were 4 people. We were picked up by a small car that barely accomodated our luggage. They had a difficult time working with the fact that there were 2 different rooms booked and neither couple were planning on having breakfast together. Also we were given the key to a room that had the wrong name on the welcome letter. The room was truly beautiful with high ceilings and beautiful comfortable bed. The baseboards needed a coat of paint and the carpet although very clean really needed an update. The worse part of the stay was the fact that whenever you used water in the bathroom the pipes would vibrate very loudly. You could not use the toilet at night for fear of waking up your partner.

Excellent location for Lisbon. The hotel premises were just what we needed and the panoramic view was great (sunrise excellent). Breakfast in the room was fabulous! The staff also attended to our needs without hesitation. The only thing that was not up to our expectation was noise on two nights. The first night may have been from the street after the bars closed, but on the second night there was very loud music from downstairs until 2:30. The seems to be a private club, which did not respect the rules of the building. Would I have knows this earlier, I would have been there knocking on the door in the night. There is also a nice wine bar (Wine Not?) almost next door. And for drinks the Rocco is a beautiful upscale venue. Even with the noise experience, would probably stay again.

The hotel is an old palace (2nd floor only). Very accommodating staff. brought breakfast the night before when we had Ealy tours. They keep our bags from early in the morning to after returning from a tour (late afternoon). Location is in the Old Town and walkable to most of the sites in Lisbon.

I highly recommend it if you want to stay in downtown Lisbon. It is a very nice location and walkable everywhere - subway, sightseeing, and all nice restaurants. The staff is super nice and makes us feel welcome. We would recommend it.

Lovely room with a fantastic view over the Baixa and the loudest thing was the birds in the trees. 3 minutes walk to Metro and lots of dining choses just down the street. Highly recommend.

We loved the property itself. The breakfasts were amazing, the staff and the rooms were lovely. Everything we wanted was close. The only complaint was the noise level. The building is historic which is a double edged sword. The plumbing is noisy. The windows are not double pane so when the garbage / recycling trucks go by in the middle of the night, it is very loud. The same goes for when the restaurants close and patrons leave and have loud conversations. If you have good ear plugs or are a sound sleeper, this location is prefect.

A fantastic place to stay in Chiado. Really close to the tourist areas. Amazing room- very large, comfortable and luxurious. Breakfast was outstanding! A feast was brought to our room every morning. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. A wonderful hotel.

Lovely decor, it feels like you’re staying somewhere far more expensive and palacial. The only negatives are noise. We were on the street side of the hotel and it was very noisy late into the night, first revellers then bin collections. By night 2 we had resorted to ear plugs to be able to sleep. The water system also creates quite a lot of noise whenever water is run or a toilet flushed. We loved our stay here but, if noise is a concern, it might not be the perfect choice for everyone.

We enjoyed two separate stays at this wonderful hotel. It is part of a refurbished palace, so be prepared to climb some stairs to get to the spacious and well appointed rooms.The staff is attentive and courteous, the location is great, and their in-room breakfast formula is a winner!

Rigtig fint hotel! 2. gang vi boede her og kan klart anbefales. Vær opmærksom på, at man ikke selv kan bestemme hvad tid man får morgenmad serveret. Vi ankom sent torsdag aften, og så var næsten alle tiderne allerede tildelt andre værelser, så vi kunne kun få morgenmad enten kl. 8 eller kl. 10. Det gjorde ikke så meget, men kan have betydning for nogen.
Rigtig fint hotel! 2. gang vi boede her og kan klart anbefales. Vær opmærksom på, at man ikke selv kan bestemme hvad tid man får morgenmad serveret. Vi ankom sent torsdag aften, og så var næsten alle tiderne allerede tildelt andre værelser, så vi kunne kun få morgenmad enten kl. 8 eller kl. 10. Det gjorde ikke så meget, men kan have betydning for nogen.

Everything about the property was excellent. We really enjoyed the staff and their helpfulness, they went out of their way to make our stay special. We highly recommend the property and would visit them again if ever in the area. Our room is extremely large with huge sitting area. The bathroom was a bit small relative to the room size but nothing to complain about. The breakfast was phenomenal and delivered promptly each morning. The rooms are 3 flights up without a lift, but the staff handled out luggage. So it's not a problem unless you have mobility problems.

Accueil initial bon mais désenchantement la première nuit ,pas de double vitrage réveillé toute la nuit par les bruits de rue comme si les fenêtres étaient restées ouvertes ,le comble au lendemain le responsable nous informe que le petit dej sera servi soit à 9h15 soit porté la veille ds la chambre 1ere option impossible rv le lendemain à 9h30 donc 2eme option petit dej ridicule pas à l image d un 4 étoiles il a fallu au petit matin quémander un morceau de pain et du beurre ….lamentable voir photo …..très déçu hôtel pas à la hauteur de ce qu il prétend être et attitude plus que détestable du responsable à éviter

Everything was exceptional. The room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning. We were able to open the windows for fresh air. A special thanks to Miguel, Sakib and Januka who made our stay perfect. We highly recommend the Palace Chiado and we will definitely return.

This is the perfect place to discover Lisbon! Great rooms appointed in a tasteful historic and modern style. It offers walkable access to all of historic Lisbon sites. The hotel’s delightful in-room breakfast formula is a winner. The welcoming and knowledgeable personnel makes staying at the hotel a most enjoyable experience.

Boutique hotel in pieno centro molto carino, con camere ampie e una bella vista. Buona la colazione servita in camera all'ora prescelta. Unica pecca la rampa di scale ripida e senza ascensore. Da migliorare perché non all'altezza di un 4*: - sedie imbottite e asciugamani frusti - mancano ganci per appendere gli asciugamani - no kleenex - stanza male illuminata - riscaldamento insufficiente - armadio troppo piccolo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are exceptionally spacious and full of charm. From day one, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, warmly greeting us every day and ensuring we had everything we needed. You couldn’t ask for a better location—it’s an easy walk to metro and train connections, surrounded by great shops, and conveniently close to local tour pickup spots. The daily breakfast was delicious and generous enough that we even packed a few items for light snacks while exploring. A quick tip for future guests: If you’re a light sleeper or tend to turn in before 11 PM, you might notice a bit of street and neighboring noise in the evenings. Overall, though, we absolutely loved our stay and would happily return!

The hotel is very pretty and perfect location. The building is very old with all the breathtaking architecture, but maintained well. Breakfast is served to the room and it was a nice experience. The only problem is that there’s no elevator and you have 43 stairs to take in order to get to the rooms floor. That’s a lot of stairs to climb up after you already climbed the city. Just keep that in mind! They do help with the luggage but if you leave after hours - it’s on you to carry the luggage.
