This hotel has a lot of character and was so cozy. The owners have done a wonderful job creating a lovely, super easy hotel experience. The diner and mercantile were very cool. Everything felt very clean and welcoming.

This is an old building without an elevator. But you can request a lower level at your reservation. The room was shiny clean. There was water bottles and Peppermint Patties. There was a mini fridge and an attractive room set up. I’d stay here again for sure. When first entering, there were homemade cookies, snacks and soda. There was tons of hospitality put into my stay, Breakfast was donuts. I have no complaints. The one’s I had were small and promptly taken care of. I really liked this hotel.

Perfect hotel! Cute updated rooms with onsite dining, barbershop, and mercantile store. Easy parking and cute little shops around. We stayed in a four room block and had an excellent gathering of family. Owners were spectacular and the food was excellent! Will be back!

Very cute family owned hotel that's connected to a restaurant/shop. The only downside was that the description said "free continenital breakfast" but the free breakfast was just fruit, muffins, and coffee so we went to the restaurant and paid for a breakfast...i was also supposed to get 20% off for being a VIP member but i was unable to get service to bring it up on my phone so i didn't worry about it. I dont recommend staying if you have a lot of luggage because youll have to walk it up stairs unless you're on the lower floor. Overall its one of the nicer places to stay in the area so i would stay again.

Rooms are modern and updated but everything else is vintage and works! Feels like a blast to the past, you gotta try the coke from the original coke machine. Breakfast is a must!

The folks who bought this property and renovated it are very proud of what they’ve accomplished and it shows. There’s lots of little touches that let you know they’ve thought most everything through. I was there for the solar eclipse and they had special treats made up for snacks in the lobby. There’s also nice bathroom amenities and Roku TV. The first floor is a general store/barber shop/restaurant/ice cream shop/museum/quilting shop all renovated. The bed is a memory foam mattress. Not my thing but my wife likes them. My room was on the 2nd floor so needed to carry luggage up the stairs. Not a problem for me but if it is for you, book a first floor room. My only problem was the shower curtain. I have wide shoulders and there was no way to not be all up in it.

We came for a local graduation party. I was so thankful EC Reeds accepted pets, as I had no one to watch my dog. The room was spotless! There was a disinfectant smell to prove it. That mellowed out over the two days. Luxurious towels and great shower! The bed was firm and wonderful! I have back issues so I was very thankful for a good mattress. Staff was very kind. I loved the shop and diner attached. Breakfast was real and well made. Free coffee in the lobby was a great perk! Overall a great stay. We can recommend EC Reeds and will be back.

The property was very clean and attractive. It was a boutique style design and family owned. The hostess was very helpful and went above and beyond to assure the hotel was clean and stocked with anything you may need including an open snack bar available any hour. We were very pleased with the stay and the area was safe and quiet. Five stars from us!

Very friendly, family-owned and operated hotel. Great restaurant.The window in my upstairs room was strange. The light came in at the floor and ended three feet up--more like a light well-- So, eye-level is all wall. I found it about as comfortable as booking a room with no window. They might consider discounting that room. But staff were wonderful and the community is sweet.

Very clean. Great lighting. We stayed in room 9 which was smaller than my last stateroom on a cruise. It was terribly tight and my husband and I had a difficult time trying to get dressed or even move without running into each other. This room is way too small for 2 people of average size. Lacked electrical outlets, and there was no place to put things. The commode was very small. We would not stay here again.

This is a quaint hotel in a small town. The owners and staff were very nice and accommodating. We had an issue with the air conditioner, mentioned it to the owner and it was fixed by the time we returned to our room. The hot breakfast in the attached cafe was delicious (not complimentary) and the free coffee, cookies and muffins were above average. Would definitely recommend this hotel if coming to this part of Missouri

Book this place! 1000%! I cannot express how awesome this stay was! Me and some family flew in from out of town for a show that was close by & ended up being later than expected but they were so accommodating to make sure we were still able to get checked in as smooth as could be! Adorable hotel! The rooms were decorated so nice, and the mini fridge was a nice surprise cause I didn’t recall seeing there would even be one! The bed was so comfy, I didn’t ever want to get up out of it! The shower & A/C worked great which is always a toss up with hotels, & the onsite diner and store were also amazing. 1000/1000 customer service, they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy in every way! If we are ever back in that direction we’ll be coming back here!

The owners were delightful people. They had renovated and decorated the small hotel, store, and restaurant themselves. The food was delicious in the restaurant. The service was excellent. If only all hotels were this comfortable and welcoming! Highly recommend and will stay there again if we’re in the area.

after a long drive from NC to here a well deserved peaceful sleep on a comfortable mattress It is off the beaten path but the cozyness and homey touches are cool And the staff across the miles really listened and understood our travel time issues we got in late They were very accommodating

Me and some family flew in from out of town for a show that was close by & ended up being later than expected but they were so accommodating to make sure we were still able to get checked in as smooth as could be! Adorable hotel! The rooms were decorated so nice, and the mini fridge was a nice surprise cause I didn’t recall seeing there would even be one! The bed was so comfy, I didn’t ever want to get up out of it! The shower & A/C worked great which is always a toss up with hotels, & the onsite diner and store were also amazing. 1000/1000 customer service, they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and happy in every way! If we are ever back in that direction we’ll be coming back here!

We were in town for a short while and had needed a place to sleep after a long trip to get our new puppy I called prior to booking and spoke to Shelby about needing to check in early but possibly not stay the night as we needed to get back to get ahead of the storm. Shelby booked us a quiet room and we were able to check in at 6am! The place was clean, the staff was super nice, and it's just what we needed to battle the storm and a new puppy! If we are ever in the area again, we will gladly book with this place any time! Very personable and accommodating!

Perfect hotel! Cute updated rooms with onsite dining, barbershop, and mercantile store. Easy parking and cute little shops around. We stayed in a four room block and had an excellent gathering of family. Owners were spectacular and the food was excellent! Will be back!

The property was very clean and attractive. It was a boutique style design and family owned. The hostess was very helpful and went above and beyond to assure the hotel was clean and stocked with anything you may need including an open snack bar available any hour. We were very pleased with the stay and the area was safe and quiet. Five stars from us!

The owners were delightful people. They had renovated and decorated the small hotel, store, and restaurant themselves. The food was delicious in the restaurant. The service was excellent. If only all hotels were this comfortable and welcoming! Highly recommend and will stay there again if we’re in the area.

This is a quaint hotel in a small town. The owners and staff were very nice and accommodating. We had an issue with the air conditioner, mentioned it to the owner and it was fixed by the time we returned to our room. The hot breakfast in the attached cafe was delicious (not complimentary) and the free coffee, cookies and muffins were above average. Would definitely recommend this hotel if coming to this part of Missouri

Very cute family owned hotel that's connected to a restaurant/shop. The only downside was that the description said "free continenital breakfast" but the free breakfast was just fruit, muffins, and coffee so we went to the restaurant and paid for a breakfast...i was also supposed to get 20% off for being a VIP member but i was unable to get service to bring it up on my phone so i didn't worry about it. I dont recommend staying if you have a lot of luggage because youll have to walk it up stairs unless you're on the lower floor. Overall its one of the nicer places to stay in the area so i would stay again.

I loved how cute and well decorated everything was, from the room to the lobby area. Next time when we have more time, I hope to use the restaurant, shop, and ice cream! So yes, we will be back!

We had a great time staying at EC Reeds. It was even cuter in person. The owners were so kind and made sure we were having a great stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. We ate at their restaurant twice. Breakfast was good and the soda fountain drinks were a great touch. I got the salad trio for lunch and it was delicious. Its definitely worth it to spend a weekend antiquing and visiting the nearby parks.

I had a very comfortable stay at E.C. Reed's Mercantile hotel. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is an older building with the typical problems that come with that. I noticed that the floor was a bit unlevel and I would have liked to have seen a staff person while there. It's just comforting to see other people. I arrived after hours so I knew that, going in. However, it is a very safe and friendly town so I wasn't too worried about any nefarious activity. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room is decorated very tastefully. Very clean all-around. I also appreciated having coffee and a bite to eat for free!
