No parking. Had to park next to a row of semis, hope I didn't towed and walk 100 yards. Understaffed. Note taped to counter said they were full and to dial zero to check-in. Incompetent staff. They put me in a room that was already occupied and I was nearly killed. Uncomfortable. Walked into a steamy hot room and the A/C didn't work. It was cooler in the hallway. Skipped their cheap breakfast and got the hell out. I highly recommend you stay somewhere else. I know I will.

The floor in the room was filthy. I walked barefoot and could feel grime on the carpet. I washed my feet and the water was black, even though I had worn shoes and socks all day. The hall carpet had dirty spots as well. The room amenities were lacking; no lotion, no face wipe, no soap dish.

Although the room was nice, someone on the 2nd floor was up at 5 a.m. We could hear every footstep and the floor creaked horribly. For that reason I would recommend staying on the 2nd floor. When we awoke, we had only slightly warm water, no hot water for a shower. Continental breakfast was nice. Sausage and scrambled eggs were very good.

The room smelled terrible, possibly of urine, but undetermined. We should have asked for a different room but we arrived late and were tired and feared the entire motel just smelled bad as the odor seemed to have penetrated everything in the room.

The city of Osceola is very small. This hotel sits in the parking lot of a truck stop. Trucks all night long. Not to mention the freight trains blowing horns every 20 minutes. We were in the first floor of a two story hotel. Thought the 400 pound person above was going to fall through the floor/ ceiling of our room. Do yourself a favor and drive the 40 miles to Des Moines. If you stay here.. you have been warned. Never again.

Was just passing through. The staff was very accommodating and kind. We got there late and they waited for us and barley made it down to breakfast before it was closing up and she waiting patiently letting my son finish his breakfast. No complaints at all.

This property was a clean stay, rooms were nice and beds comfortable. Somewhat noisy with the trains going through. Breakfast was good. My biggest issue though was the pool. Was a nicely warm pool, but I was concerned after both my son and myself accidentally discovered an uncovered suction drain that had a very powerful,violent pull/suction to it. It left a very noticeable mark on my son's back the rest of the evening. There are other holes around the pool that shoot warm water into the pool. This suction area looked similar to those but this totally open, exposed 2" PVC pipe looking thing was very shocking to get sucked into. Left a red mark on my hand, similar to my son's back. We went to tell the front desk and they just said they were aware and it's "suppose to be like that". This just seems completely UNSAFE. It really seems like it should have a cap or vent or SOMETHING over it. I told my kids to stay away from that area after I was aware of it. Both of my daughters were wearing piggy tail braids and that vent could've easily sucked one of their braids in getting them stuck there. I'd really advise the staff to look into making this spot safer in your pool. But if they don't, be wary of the hole that's just left to the 4' depth sign... don't let your kids play by it. I'm not kidding when I say it's a VERY STRONG suction. We were completely caught off guard with it. While the property is clean, this pool needs attention and swimmers beware if they don't fix this.
