Great weather. Excellent pool and hot tub. Disappointed in food/restaurant options and did not experience timely or friendly service as part of our dining in the restaurant. Loved the live music, games and s’mores in evenings.

The resort was crowded and hot tub was not working they didnt mention while we booked, we didnt get room on time we had to wait for 1 hour past our checkin time.

The property is nice by the beach and have plenty of walking pathways and nice beach walk, restaurant is nice with good menu and view by the waterfront, the swimming pool is nice specially with kids, the sauna is good.. SPA is never available seems to be always fully booked which is disappointing, it’s pricy for what it is but nice…

Fantastic staff, very helpful every day of our stay!!! We loved the spa massage services and that pool and hot tub were first class!!! Thank you Semiahmoo! We had our wedding there 20years ago and many in our wedding party keep coming back! Thank you treating us all so well!!!

Amazing location! Loved walking on the spot and watching all the wildlife. The pool and hot tub were closed unfortunately and we weren’t fast enough to reserve a pickle ball court, but the steam room and sauna were lovely.

it's the best and easiest holiday weekend with a family and friends. I hope the company makes property improvements, like updating the women's bathroom, sauna and cleaning it. Also, more complimentary little items like popcicles during day for kiddos, more dining and better food.

Welcoming and attentive staff. Little extras make it special. Bonfire, wine tour, complimentary hot chocolate and tea, movie theatre. Bicycles were great to go for a stroll. Beautiful views nearby. Good pool area. Easy parking. Watch you step in the parking lot. I fell - there are warning signs everywhere so I suppose this has happened to others in the past. Staff were helpful and provided ice packs. We will be back.

Room very clean. Bed too soft. Free coffee ran out too soon. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Main restaurant was closed so that was disappointing. Not enough ready towels at pool area. Delighted with access to an outdoor pool. Sauna and steam room worked well but dated.

The resort staff needs more training and proper mgmt. the hot tub was down for the wkend. Spa staff were unfriendly and unhelpful - they were apparently out of towels, didn't know where the kids floats were nor did they care. Souvenir/cafe only opens fri-sun mornings. They should atleast have continental breakfast or coffee. The front desk coffee station was mostly empty. The “wine cellar” is always closed/unattended. Restaurant was very limited in seating and food options, unsavory and expensive. Couldn’t accommodate the small amount of guests for dining because they refuse to open the whole restaurant…wth. Breakfast there was awful. The staff in any dept do not answer phones, it just rings. Pros: heated outdoor pool, ocean view, beach area, fire pit/smores at 7pm, no parking fee, little games for kids. Quiet Cons: no bottled water for purchase or complementary No coffee or continental breakfast anywehere. Complementary coffee maker in rooms are dirty. Family friendly resort with lots of things to do. We got to see the fireworks up close during 4th of July weekend. Facilities are a bit dated but very well maintained. Only downside is not a lot of restaurant options nearby.

The waterfront part of the property was amazing. Best sunsets! We really enjoyed the fire pits and the guys made sure our propane tanks were full. We loved that we were able to bring our cooler down to the patio area. We were disappointed when we didn’t get a waterfront room we thought we had reserved on Expedia. Not sure where the disconnect was, but we were not able to upgrade once we got to the resort and that was the reason we stayed there. Also it was a little offputting to find other people’s belongings in our room. Clearly hadn’t been cleaned as well as one would like and ALL of the garbage cans at the waterfront and patio were overflowing with trash. Read the beginning again. The waterfront and patio area was very cool.!!

Staff was really friendly and the spa is wonderful! The resort is very kid friendly as we traveled with three 5 and under, and there was plenty for them to do. The room was great, but when we first entered the floor was definitely dirty. There was still a water bottle on the floor half empty from the person before, and several hair ties and candy wrapper. Wasn't a deal breaker, but not something you want to see.

The scenery outside is beautiful, prices at the bar and restaurant were on the high side. When I arrived at my room there was still coffee grounds in the coffee machine from the previous visitor. There were also several long black hairs in the shower. So, someone skipped out on the cleaning....

The Staff was wonderful. Especially the employees that worked the coffee bar. All the amenities make it very charming. However, the Resort needs some upkeep. The outside paint is peeling horribly. The spa and pool area look old and worn.The common areas feel stark and cold. It was raining much of the weekend but only one fireplace was used and then for only a few hours. Wood molding chipped,broken or missing throughout . Our room was huge but it only had 2 chairs when it could have accommodated a couch and large chair easily. Housekeeping was inadequate. They emptied the garbage and left towels only. They left the dirty coffee cups,did not leave new coffee pods. Did not make beds,clean bathroom floor or vacuum. Nothing wiped down. If this wasn’t a Resort ,I could let it go but a Resort stay should include a real cleaning. Overall, I enjoyed it very much,mostly due to the fantastic staff and the beautiful property. I just feel like there is a lot of untapped potential that is being wasted.

The rooms were very clean. I really enjoyed the amenities including the restaurant, the bikes, the snores kit, and the games room. The location was amazing. The only area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the pool and jacuzzi. It was quite dirty. We were initially planning to join some of the pool activities until we used the pool and decided not to use it again as it was not clean. It would also be nice to have a higher temperature on the jacuzzi tub. Otherwise everything else was fabulous!

We were initially planning to join some of the pool activities until we used the pool and decided not to use it again as it was not clean. It would also be nice to have a higher temperature on the jacuzzi tub. Otherwise everything else was fabulous!

The resort staff needs more training and proper mgmt. the hot tub was down for the wkend. Spa staff were unfriendly and unhelpful - they were apparently out of towels, didn't know where the kids floats were nor did they care. Souvenir/cafe only opens fri-sun mornings. They should atleast have continental breakfast or coffee. The front desk coffee station was mostly empty. The “wine cellar” is always closed/unattended. Restaurant was very limited in seating and food options, unsavory and expensive. Couldn’t accommodate the small amount of guests for dining because they refuse to open the whole restaurant…wth. Breakfast there was awful. The staff in any dept do not answer phones, it just rings. Pros: heated outdoor pool, ocean view, beach area, fire pit/smores at 7pm, no parking fee, little games for kids. Quiet Cons: no bottled water for purchase or complementary No coffee or continental breakfast anywehere. Complementary coffee maker in rooms are dirty. We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a good experience. The staff was friendly, the location was convenient, and the amenities were nice. However, the room itself wasn’t as clean as expected upon arrival—there was food and other debris on the floor, which was disappointing. We also had to call maintenance to fix the air conditioning, which thankfully they resolved fairly quickly. Despite these issues, the rest of our stay was comfortable. With a bit more attention to room readiness, this would’ve been a five-star experience.

I always enjoy staying here. This trip was different. To be fair, it was on NewYears' Eve. There was a lot of loud parties going on around our room for hours and not ending until past 2 a.m. in the morning. I did not expect this type of activity happening at this resort and would have expected security to have been more active in controlling the noise. I'll go back but never again on New Years' Eve.

No restaurant on site. There was one cafe with awful food and dirty area. The room was noisy all night. I wasn’t able to sleep more than 2-3 hours. They promised a room with a view instead I had a room that had a huge outdated wall in front of the window. The heating system was not working and I was freezing all night with no blanket. The shower was out of hair conditioner. Just a disaster the whole night.

The staff was very kind and welcoming, but the times were super dingy and nothing worked properly. The bathtub didn’t drain the water out properly, the WiFi wasn’t great (with was terrible because there was no network in the whole resort). The dining options were very limited, with the sea view cafe being closed on Monday and Tuesday. When they were open, they only be open until 6 or 8. So we’d have to plan ahead. The menu was also very limited in both the dining facilities. The Semiahmoo cafe across the street had better options. The rooms are not kid friendly. Our friends kid got seriously injured when a massive mirror (held with 2 flimsy nails to the wall) fell on his toe. The patio rooms that face the front of the building don’t really have a usable patio/lawn space. The rooms are kind of small and congested.

Reserved a double queen water view patio when I checked in, they put me in a king and told me they had overbooked and that the room I reserve is not available, saying that we would need to use the pullout couch as the other bed the pullout couch was extremely uncomfortable so we all had to share the one bed and barely got any sleep. I’m supposed to be getting a refund but have not received it yet.

The property was well maintained in the main areas. For dining options we had to drive 20 minutes into town since the restaurants were booked up the nights we were there. The rooms were decent but the bed was not comfortable and if you plan on using the pull out couch for a bed to use, don't do it. There is a very thin mattress in the couch. Once it's pulled out for use its very noisy and squeaks with any movement. Since there is no padding to the thin mattress will feel the metal bars on your back all night. Overall the views were beautiful and the property was relaxing. Just wish the rooms were better maintained and had microwaves inside for convienence to heat up food if the restaurants are booked up all weekend and you have kids with you.

Location of the property is awesome. The rooms however left a lot to be desired. We expected more especially when you pay price of a 4 star for our stay. Other than that, we had a good experience because we stayed away from the room and used it to just sleep. Beautiful property grounds, but over-priced - early fall cool evening but fireplace non-functional; we were in a ground floor room with water view and patio and it was fairly dark; wooden floors lacked warmth, eg, no throw rugs at bedside or under the coffee table. Staff were excellent. Better-value options are to be found in private condos - just don’t try to book them 2 days before (like we did).

the service from staff was excellent. The room was ok except the heating system made a loud bang when it shut off. Then the toilet stopped working because of work they were doing and it got fixed quickly. The restaurant was ok except they seemed to be short staffed and the main dining room was not open. This was my 4 the time staying there not sure if I will stay there again.

Beautiful property with jaw-dropping scenic views. Guest room rates a strong “meh”. No down comforter as advertised. Small presto-log-only fireplace that creates a substantial draft when not is use. Inadequate shower pressure. Nice towels and linens though, and very clean throughout. Staff is amazing, efficient, fun and accommodating; easily the biggest “win” for this property. (Avoid the on-site restaurant “Packers.” That’s a completely different review. Bring a cooler or drive to Blaine instead!)

The staff here are lovely and even upgraded our room for the inconvenience of not being able to locate our Hotels.com reservation. They searched everywhere and I even did a virtual chat with hotels.com who assured me they sent it—checked in at front desk three times. If this doesn’t get resolved I am afraid I will be charged twice for the room. We drive over two hours to get here and I have never had confirmation and and reservation # through hotels.com and it not being found at the hotel. So frustrating.

Our trip was disappointing despite a great, roomy room. We arrived at 4pm (check in) and were told they were ‘behind’ and our room wasn’t ready. We weren’t alone as the lobby was full with nowhere to sit. We spent an hour outside in the rain and wind before our room was ready. I booked a view room and even after having to wait in the weather for an hour, we were given a room with a view of the parking lot. Once settled we went to dinner. My child ordered the pasta, which was less than a cup of noodles, I ordered the schnitzel which was bizarrely massive, literally the size of a large dinner plate and had a very strange taste to it, very unappetizing. We both left hungry. The next morning we were looking forward to breakfast since we didn’t have a great dinner. Two of the three restaurants were closed. The one that was open is essentially a glorified coffee shop. My child ordered pancakes. They came to us after ordering and said they were out of pancakes and there wasn’t much else available. They offered to refund us and give her a muffin. We didn’t have a choice so we took the muffin. Then they came back and said they decided NOT to refund us and they would just bring her a bacon and egg… what? Is this serious? We paid over $40 for a tea, a burrito and a muffin we didn’t even want or order. We left and went straight to eat after spending $40… unacceptable. The entire experience has led us to have no desire to return. There are many others choices out there, this isn’t it.

Great location, views and we loved the easy access to the beach. Large heated pool and extra large hot tub. There is one restaurant in the hotel which means everyone goes there for dinner so we were unable to get in. You can drive a few minutes down the road to the golf course restaurant. Food at the golf course restaurant was great. I was surprised to find the room dusty. Light fixtures and window trim could use some attention. Great experience overall.

They promised a room with a view instead I had a room that had a huge outdated wall in front of the window. The heating system was not working and I was freezing all night with no blanket. The shower was out of hair conditioner. Just a disaster the whole night.

Property and amenities were exceptional. A great stay! Needs more dining options. With Seavue closed, Packers is working a reduced menu making dining options an issue.

Great weather. Excellent pool and hot tub. Disappointed in food/restaurant options and did not experience timely or friendly service as part of our dining in the restaurant. Loved the live music, games and s’mores in evenings.

Started off with key cards that did not work . Booked a courtyard view and ended up with view of parking lot above front driveway . The dining experience was pretty bad . We ate at the Packers pub . Server seemed overwhelmed and distracted . Long wait between dishes and food arrived cold/ room temp , overcooked Halibut. I was served a 9oz glass of wine in a very small glass filled to the brim , my husband was served an espresso in a large coffee cup and it was cold . Dessert was also supposed to be a warm cookie and was not warm , I specifically asked if it was warm . Tried to book spa apt , nothing available . Tried to use steam room , it was out of service . Wanted to play backgammon , were told it was missing pieces and they got rid of it. Room was clean and beds were nice and comfortable… walk on beach saved trip 😉

Great location, views and we loved the easy access to the beach. Large heated pool and extra large hot tub. There is one restaurant in the hotel which means everyone goes there for dinner so we were unable to get in. You can drive a few minutes down the road to the golf course restaurant. Food at the golf course restaurant was great. I was surprised to find the room dusty. Light fixtures and window trim could use some attention. Great experience overall.

Staff was very nice! The restaurants were totally booked when we arrived so we didn't get to dine where we wanted to. So be sure to make dinner reservations before you arrive! The food was great! We were there for the final summer bbq and the food was delicious! Not just hamburgers and hot dogs, but lots of options. The huge cupcakes were so fun and tasty! The kids loving looking for sea glass and skipping rocks. There was quite a bit of seaweed on the shore they couldn't really get too close to the water but they still had a great time. My husband and I had a nice wine tasing outdoors right when we arrived and the kids played with the bean bag game. The room was big and bright with amazing blackout curtains that rolled up with no light gaps! that was great for sleeping in! I loved that we could text with the staff. they were quick to respond and accommodate. The pool and hot tub were nice, but there weren't enough chairs or places to sit. More seating would be nice. The movie theater was a nice touch. although we didn't make it there during our stay, the kids were excited about the option to do that. More quick breakfast options in the cafe would've been nice as they were sold out by 10 am when we got ready and got down there. Also, a self serve coffee area would be nice since the 1 and only Barista was a little slow making americanos 1 by 1. But Overall, lovely property. quick place to relax and hang out. We'll be back.

The resort staff needs more training and proper mgmt. the hot tub was down for the wkend. Spa staff were unfriendly and unhelpful - they were apparently out of towels, didn't know where the kids floats were nor did they care. Souvenir/cafe only opens fri-sun mornings. They should atleast have continental breakfast or coffee. The front desk coffee station was mostly empty. The “wine cellar” is always closed/unattended. Restaurant was very limited in seating and food options, unsavory and expensive. Couldn’t accommodate the small amount of guests for dining because they refuse to open the whole restaurant…wth. Breakfast there was awful. The staff in any dept do not answer phones, it just rings. Pros: heated outdoor pool, ocean view, beach area, fire pit/smores at 7pm, no parking fee, little games for kids. Haven’t been here since Semiahmoo was closed a remodeled. Nothing special in furnishing rooms, would have preferred a chair and sofa or love seat in large area beyond beds. Two chairs hard and uncomfortable. Hung out in lobby area to visit with friends in comfortable chairs. Bed, Had wonderful sleep. Very comfortable. Bathroom, toilet tissue half roll and no extra roll left, we almost ran out.Kleenex box stuffed with a few tissues then empty. We always bring a box of tissues on trips. Constant drip onto metal drain pan, kept door closed. Floor had an odd raised breakage in flooring. Amenities- pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub great, pool colder than I might like but adjusted. Locker room showers nice. Outdoor seating facing bay, fabulous views, comfortable chairs, walking on beach. 5 stars. Staff, very helpful, great customer service with everyone I encountered. All in all enjoyable stay.

Let's talk about the good first, location is amazing and beautiful. Access to the Semiahmoo golf course was a bonus. We did play pickleball as well. Room was decent. The bad, the staff does not much care to provide a level of customer service that you would expect from a "resort" from check in to room cleaning. The worst part is the food and beverage service. Plan on waiting for food and drinks and be on your best behavior or you might not get either in return.

My husband, I and our 3 month old English Bulldog puppy, Walter Wellington loved our stay at Semiahumoo. Had live music at the Marina Friday night, a great Hawaiian BBQ w/ music Saturday. Food was great at a places we ate on site. We will definitely come back with our pup the daily beach/path walks were a favorite.
